End-of-Term FeastThe time has come to say GOODBYE to another year at Hogwarts! Enjoy a great meal and good conversation with friends before classes in the morning!
For those who belong in Gryffindor House, on the left side of the Great Hall is where your table awaits. Red banners containing an embroidered golden lion float above the polished table in honour of the brave Godric Gryffindor. Already placed on the tables are silver plates with accompanying cutlery and goblets. All that is missing right now are the mountains of food and pitchers containing your favourite beverages.
Though your stomach might be growling as you take a seat on one of the long benches next to the table, it is important to not get hangry -- gnawing your arm away or jabbing your fork repeatedly on the surface of the table will do no good whatsoever. Give everyone some time to get settled in and wait for Headmaster Winterbottom to deliver his speech. Keep yourself preoccupied by catching up with your fellow housemates or those who are visiting from the other tables until it is time to sink your teeth into the hearty and delicious meal prepared by the house-elves.

Id was thinking that he would spend some time at the Gryffindor Table, then after he’d had enough dinner, head over to the Hufflepuff to sit with Paul. He sought out his Dad E’s gaze and sent him a big grin because… GRYFFINDOR HAD WON THE HOUSE CUP!!! In his humble opinion, the banners suited the Hall very much. Then again, each House’s banners brought their own splendour to the place; it just happened to be Gryffindor’s turn this time.
The third year now took a proper look at those that had gathered at the table so far, greeting his friends in particular. He was going to miss them over the time off but there was a grand adventure that awaited him in India and if he could have, Id would have left for the country at this moment. Since that was out of the question, Idris did one of the things he did best: live in the moment while enjoying everything about it

It had been a close fight…but in the end the House Cup looked to be in the hands of her and her fellow lions. Nadia was thrilled for the ending that meant to her seven years at Hogwarts. Rawr Rawr Gryffindor! The only downfall was quidditch but she wasn’t going to let that get her down. She would soon be playing the sport to her hearts content. The seventh year made her way to the house table for end-of-term feast, most of her belongings gathered and packed to be ready for the next morning. That way she wasn’t frantic as she enjoyed her final morning at Hogwarts.
It was almost surreal, and her feelings were mixed over the while matter. She was excited as can be for what was to come but knowing that it meant several changes coming into her life. An unconscious glance at the Slytherin and Hufflepuff tables brought her gaze to her siblings, the last of which would be alone next term while it had been a long time since there hadn’t been at least two Atreyu-Rehman at the school. Nope, no melencoly thoughts tonight…it was ALL good.

Paul didn't care about the house cup or whatever match was going on. No matter how close he was to being sorted into this house and he denied it. Nope, nope. If it were up to him, he'd stay up in his dorm and come back downstairs to eat... but it was the end of the year, and there were some people he was fine with hanging out.
Without a word, he slipped away from the Hufflepuff table and arrived at the Gryffindor table sitting next to Idris. "Hi." He said looking at the table. "How are you?" Thinking for a moment before he added, "I saw Nesquik earlier, he was hanging out with that purple cat again."
Diego was feeling very happy! He debated on hanging out at the Hufflepuff to talk with Zen, but he was sure she'd probably hang out with her big brothers at Gryffindor or Slytherin. And he had other friends here that he couldn't just ditch so here he stayed. "Hello!" He smiled at everyone nearby. "This is so cool that we won! Is this a common thing?" He was just so happy with everything and wanted to know.
Plus, he was getting a little hungry so distractions were needed.
Rawr! Rawr Gryffindor! Tonight Rose was sitting at the Gryffindor table, and being all smiles from ear to ear. She had even brought a long some lion inspired necklaces for her housemates to wear like the one she herself was sporting ontop of her robes. The necklaces may be charmed to sing, and some other party things too like sprouting confetti... Turning her eyes over to Dio she responded with a big smile to the first year. "No, it's not a common thing which is why it's extra special, and worth celebrating when our house does win the house cup."
Extending a necklace to Nadia across the table Rose beamed "Here try this one! It sings lionescque songs and may or might not sprout candy and confetti. It's awesome that Gryffindor won!!!"

Bria bounced into the Great Hall with a grin as wide as the Welsh valleys and a spring in her step that said this sheila was absolutely buzzing. Between end-of-term giddiness, the promise of a bellyful of delicious food, and the small, slightly wiggly secret nestled in her pocket, she was fair chuffed. The wee critter—little viviparous lizard that looked like it had only just finished hatching but something went wonky and it hatched with only three legs—poked its scaley little head out for a tick before Bria gently nudged it back in with a whisper of, "Not yet, cariad. We scoff first."
Eyes twinkling, she plonked herself down next to Diego with all the subtlety of a kookaburra at sunrise. "Oi Diego! Can you believe this day? And during our first term to boot?" she chirped, flinging her arms wide like she was about to give him a big ol' hug. "Absolute ripper of a win. Plus, I squeezed in one last wander through the grounds before the feast." She conveniently didn't mention what (or who, ahem) followed her back though.
When Rose passed her a lion-themed necklace, Bria accepted it like it was sacred treasure. "Aw, this is lush, thanks!" she smiled...and then squinted at it suspiciously. "Wait… did you say it sprouts candy? Like, real, proper lollies and not just fake, floaty illusion stuff?" Her brow furrowed, nose scrunching in concentration. "’Cause, like, Gamp’s Law and all that say there is no conjuring nosh from thin air, right? So it’s gotta be stashed somewhere... like inside… or maybe it’s got some funky alchemical bit going on...or is it a really clever switching spell?" She gave the necklace a gentle prod, looking both fascinated and slightly suspicious."Reckon it could sprout chocolate frogs AND their cards? My dad’s got this mad collection but he’s still missing half the newer ones. Would be ace to bring him back a souvenir."
Her gaze followed the path of the necklace Rose slid over and nearly bounced out of her seat seeing Nadia on the receiving end. A wide grin spread across Bria’s face as she waved over to Nadia, her eyes bright with excitement—also a bit awestruck because seventh years were just so mature and grown-up! "Congratulations on graduating from Hogwarts, Nadia! That must feel...a bit bonza! What candy do you hope your necklace will magic up?"

The Great Hall blazed with Gryffindor colours—scarlet banners rippling overhead, golden light flickering off every goblet and plate. Gryffindor had taken the House Cup from Slytherin, and Beauden was grinning like he'd swallowed a sunbeam. Beauden sat in the thick of it all, flushed with victory and full to bursting—not just from the feast, but from the wild, fizzy feeling that this chapter was finally over.
Beauden glanced up at the enchanted ceiling. It shimmered with a summer night sky, soft and endless. He was leaving. No more lessons. No more pointless tests. No more trying to remember how many drops of Antidote to Uncommon Poisons were necessary to neutralise doxy venom (he still didn't know). The thought made him want to laugh and cry all at once.
He nudged the housemate beside him. "You know," he said, voice a bit too bright to hide the lump in his throat, "I won't miss the lectures. Or the essays. Or those 6 a.m. Quidditch practices in the snow."
Pause. A softer smile now.
"But I'll miss this." The social interactions, the endless piles of food, the nooks and crannies of the castle.

WOW!
It certainly was loud at the Gryffindor table! This simply added to Idris’ happiness, seeing all his Housemates so thrilled. He was only left to imagine what Dad E was feeling due to the win, though glancing at the Staff Table, the man wasn’t giving away too much in that department. Id made a mental note on his to-do list to give him the biggest, most squishiest hug later. In the meanwhile, he would just enjoy the moment with the Housemates. He gave everyone happy smiles, taking in everything: the chatter, the necklaces being passed about, ALL OF IT!
“Slytherin’s the House that’s won for the last couple of terms,’’ Id told Diego. Maybe Viano hadn’t mentioned that to his bestie? “We’re aiming for another win next term though, right?” Another win for them and Dad E! Excuse him while he got distracted by the particularly pretty necklace Rose was showing. “I’m all for confetti!’’ he blurted out without really thinking about it. But ya know… Idris being the bouncy ray of sunshine, he couldn’t help himself.
Feeling a nudge on his arm, Id looked up at Beauden. “You won’t miss a lot,’’ Id commented in observation, and also thinking that the older guy’s voice sounded funny. Definitely NOT Beauden-like! It didn’t take much for the third year to figure out that Beauden was emotional. Poor Beau. “I know exactly what you mean! But you do know you’ll be missed too?” With that, Id threw his arms around him. Well, as much as his arms could fit around Beau. “Don’t worry! I’ll send you some updates on all things Hogwarts! And you can tell me all about what you’re up to out there!” He squished Beau a bit then…
“Paully!” Id all but threw himself at his boyfriend. “Hi! I didn’t know you would be here! At this table, I mean. I was going to go sit with you later, but you being here is just as great!” Was he blabbering? Maybe but that was because he was caught up in all the excitement around him, and the added level of Paul unexpectedly showing up. Idris subtly reached for one of Paul’s hands, weaving his fingers through the other’s. He knew it couldn’t be that easy for the Hufflepuff to make the decision to want to sit at another House’s table. Hopefully Id’s family would take this as another excellent attempt of Paul redeeming himself in their eyes. “I’m great!” As usual. “Are you? I know you really don’t care about the House Cup but Hufflepuff bringing last place… it could still be disappointing.”
At the mention of Nes, Idris giggle-sniggered. “I think Lady Fab and Nes are dating. They’d make the cutest little babies!” He might have gone a little starry eyed at the thought because… CATS AND KNEAZLES!!!

It really was a great feeling for once in her history.

Ah there was a housemate who seemed to be more excited than she herself was of her graduating, Nadia waving back with her free hand. “Thank you,” she remarked before looking at the necklace and shrugging. “Maybe something sour?” she mused as she moved to put it on, having some of her Dad’s perchance for the non-sweet sweets. Though at the moment it was confetti that greeted her once it was around her neck making her laugh

Turning a little pink Rose smiled back at Bria. "You're welcome!" It was nice that her necklace efforts seemed to be appreciated all around the table. Fingering on her own lion nacklace around her neck, she nodded "I uh yes, it sprouts candy Bria. Just very, very small jelly slugs though, it was all I got to fit into the necklace." Floating illusion stuff? Erm what was Bria talking about? Shaking her head in some confusion Rose shrugged "I doubt chocolate frogs could fit because they are quite big, but you're welcome to try." Rose was not attempting it though, just getting the slugs and confetti to work had been exhausting to say the least.

I've got an extra necklace if you want one too?" Feeling a nudge in her side Rose turned her attention to Beauden just like Idris did. The senior boy who was leaving school tomorrow was emotional tonight which was totally understandable, and it was sweet to hear even if it was a little sad too. Echoing the younger boy Rose affirmed "We will definitley miss you Beauden. You've been a good peer to all of us. Who am I going to get advice from now or play board games with in front of the fireplace after dinner on mondays with now?" It was a routine she had come to enjoy and look forward too at the start of each week.

The seventh years were all going to be missed. "What will you miss from this place Nadia? The social chattering like Beuden or something else entirely?" The shimmering ceiling was something Rose thought she'd miss when it became her time in 2 years to graduate from Hogwarts too.

why is this girl so ABSURDLY exhausting >.>
astronomizzle ♧ gryffinDORK | & the rest is drag ♣ #badluckDerf
Ugh. Fiiiiiiiiinally. End of Term.
Diamond entered the Great Hall with her robes bedazzled a bit more than they should be. What were they going to do about it? Give her detention on their final eve here in the castle? Threaten her with it for the start of the next term? None of it fazed her and a little discomfort later was worth all the glamour now. Her Gryffindor crest was adorned and outlined in red rhinestones to really make it POP against the drab black fabric and she maaaaaay just have cut and resewn parts of her robes so they had a dramatic slit along either side to show off her sparkly gold leggings to show off her statement carrot orange ankle boots better - peak movement and menace.
Sure, the Great Hall blazed with Gryffindor colors and all that sort of end-of-term festivities, but she hardly cared for such things - she did like winning, however, so that did help add a bit of extra bounce to her strut. She moved with the kind of purpose usually reserved for catwalks or courtrooms. Her jumbo Marley twists were pulled over one shoulder and absolute perfection. One look at the careful set of her hair, and it was obvious: confetti was not welcome.
She didn’t need to say it—but she did anyway.
"Don’t even think about tossing that shredded parchment in my direction," she told Rose Snakebark with a sneer. "You mess with the crown, you get hexed. Ask anyone."
The sixth year passed down the aisle between the tables, her gait all swish and sway, the scent of star anise and citrus trailing behind her in from a new line of perfume Theia's mum was promoting. Tonight’s feast was technically her house's triumph, but Diamond had never met a spotlight she couldn’t borrow. Ignoring all the ankle bitters (read: anyone under fifth year) and offering another seventh year a fleeting nod in acknowledgement (some little ankle bitter was already laying on the praise thick), she slid in beside a very victorious, very flushed seventh-year - Beauden Wild, basking in the House Cup glory like it had been written just for him. "Well, aren’t you sitting here like the cover of ‘Triumphant Tales’...glow up and everything," she said, casually leaning back on her hands and angling herself towards him. "Careful there, Golden Boy. Smile any harder and you’ll start a wildfire."
Before he could answer, she slipped a folded sheet of parchment into his hands. Fresh gossip, hot off the quill. She had copies for everyone so there was no need to get jealous of Golden Boy here. "Midnight Library Meetups: Study Sessions or Something Saucier? If you’re there for extra Arithmancy help, why bring scented candles and a second-year alibi? We’ve got receipts, and they smell like Amortentia." Another article, just below that one, read: 'Gryffindor Wins the Cup—But Who’s Winning Hearts? The lions may have roared loudest, but the snakes still know how to charm a crowd' and another adjacent to that 'Secret Spaghetti Soirée in the Kitchens?! Sources say a few upper years have been sneaking into the kitchens for late-night pasta parties. Is it a date, a club, or just a carb-fueled conspiracy?' "You're welcome," she said, waving off the impressed look she perceived she received. "Just a little something I happened upon yesterday on my way to the owlery to send off some correspondence about my summer schedule - confirming appointments and booking slots. You know...light work." She quirked a brow at the seventh year and purposefully poked his arm a couple of times. "You going to be making people go weak in the knees again this summer and scooping owl ... secretions, amusing and objectively attractive and completely disgusting, or finally upping your game?"
Diamond glanced up at the staff dais, wrinkling her nose at how loud it had suddenly become up there and quickly distracted herself with more lucrative thoughts. Like how she would split up her final hours of the term between Tristan and Thea - and maybe...
But, seriously, no one spew any confetti her direction, okay? She was NOT pulling glitter out of her scalp until September just because someone stupidly decided however many decades ago that tiny bits of shiny paper meant 'celebration.' Tacky. And furthermore, could old man Winterbottom ge to it already? She had places to be that were not this bench.

Diego could just bounce in his seat from the excitement and energy radiating the table. Rose telling him that it was very special made it even more so. He then beamed at Bria. "I know! I feel so lucky to be sorted here. We HAVE to always win now!" He looked around and could see a familiar face (Beauden). Well, not just because they were a Sevvie and older, but from him working summers with his Papa. "Hi, are you sad about leaving us? Don't be! You got a good future ahead of you!" His eyes twinkled as he felt the power in his voice. "My Papa.. I mean... well, you know who he is. I'm sure he'd have a lot of good things to tell you too!"
He wasn't the only sevvie Diego would be talking to as Nadia addressed his question. "Yeah? Well, it's a good thing we won now. Are you going to play professionally now that you're graduating?" He had a lot of questions. He was a curious little bloke.
Paul thought about what he would've dealt with staying at the Hufflepuff table. Peace? Not really. Probably moping, since Hufflepuff didn't do so well. He felt like he contributed and it wasn't the end of the world, they could try again next year. What was nice though as he could blend in as only Idris acknowledged him personally.
A small smile emerged, "Well, I know like you surprises and all." Paul looked over to see if they were being watched. Yes, of course they were as he caught their older brother's eyes. Nesquik and Lady Fab... dating. Not a surprise. "You think your mum will okay having that many knittens around the house?" He could tell the thought of giving at least one of them up would tear Idris' heart apart. "Mm... don't worry about me. I'm fine. By the way..." He shifted his eyes a little, "My mums said they wanted to talk with us when we get back from the train." He had a feeling what that conversation would be. But a very tall figure looming over him interrupted his train of thought.
Ean arrived soon after the speech was made; his height may have intimidated others, but the look on his face would likely counteract such thoughts. Nope, he wasn't here to dish out detention or reprimand students this time. "Hello, all." He greeted once majority of their attention was on him. "Just came here to quickly say thank you for all the work and effort you did this year. Tonight just proved that nothing is impossible and even when down on our luck, we can rise as large as our lion's roar." Excuse the metaphor. Ahem.
"Anyway, congratulations. I'm proud of you all. To those graduating, some of you will be joining the workforce immediately, some playing professionally or awaiting your Scout's confirmation, others not quite sure on what the future entails... But that's okay. You all have a voice and a sound mind to consider before making your move. I'm an owl away for any more advice, career-wise or not." And that was it for the graduates. "To the rest of you returning next year, keep it up, expect some grand things next term. So, for now, enjoy your meal and a safe trip back." He gave any who may have a question time to ask before he returned to the staff table.
