Lower Floors From the entrance hall down to the depths of the dungeons, there is much to explore in the lower floors of this historic castle. Don't mind the rats you may stumble upon the further down you go, their minding their business like anyone else.

Default Bulletin Board

Atop the marble staircase in the Entrance Hall along the corridor that will direct you to the moving staircases, you stumble across a long, horizontal cork bulletin board that is encased in glass. Here you will find an array of notices and signs, stick up by tacks and push-pins, that are meant for the entire student body to read. Anything from requests, advertisements, lost and found notices, and gentle reminders can be viewed for all eyes to see.

If you have something you would like to add to this colourful, paper-filled board, you are more than welcome to do so. Simply slide over the glass surrounding the board (it is never locked) and stick on the board whatever it is you wish for everyone to know. Having this board for your use is a privilege, not a right, so use it responsibly. Any crude drawings or messages will result in the bulletin board crumpling them up and throwing your balled notice at your face, giving you a deep paper cut, before you even have a chance to slide the glass back to its original place.

Honestly, it was utterly ridiculous that the student bulletin board had to be all the way down here. It only added to the absolute travesty that was Diamond’s lack of a proper first kiss - an oversight she was now determined to rectify. After all, her pathetic little stint of pretending to care about OWLs was officially over and she could finally be more public facing with her other extracurriculars without receiving any immediate howlers from mum.

Heels clicking against the cold stone floor, Diamond strode confidently forward, reaching into her bag with the practiced grace of a queen making her entrance. She pulled out a fresh, glorious enchanted parchment, the ink curling along the edges in an eyecatching shimmer and spritzed with the tiniest hint of 'Lustrous Lure' to really rope 'em in - after all, who could resist a little Amortentia induced aroma? She had truly outdone herself this time with this parchment, along with its accompanying quill, working much like that tacky old diary of Riddle’s - minus, of course, the whole soul-shredding horror show. No, no, no, Diamond was far too young and beautiful to let anything as grotesque as that happen and she certainly wouldn't be losing her perfect nose over any such nonsense. Instead, anything written on the parchment would simply vanish after a second or two, only to appear later in the privacy of her journal tucked safely away in her dorm. A delightful trick she had perfected over the years - very useful for snooping undetected and way easier than all that unregistered animagus baloney.

With a flick of her wand, she pinned the flyer to the board, her fingers lingering a moment too long to ensure it was placed perfectly. An act of complete and utter desperation? Yes, yes it was - but no one else had to know that - and know one would. Her plan? Flawless. MWAH. Truly, chef's kiss.

Stepping back, Diamond surveyed her masterpiece, admiring the flyer in all its glittering glory.

OOC: Hey everyone! Just here for a little bit of RPG shenanigans! Diamond’s got some selfish ulterior motives, but honestly, I’m just here to enjoy the ride! If you’re interested in joining in with a character, send me a PM by February 3rd, and I’ll do some initial matches around the 4th. Any Hogwarts student-age character is welcome to join in! And if they aren’t in your postbit, feel free to use the Hogsmeade forum once it is available!
With a wink, a playful giggle, and a flick of her heel, Diamond strutted down the corridor, leaving her handiwork behind. Maybe she’d swing by the Great Hall and stir up some curiosity about something she just so happened to pass by on her way to it - lead those hippogriffs to water and watch them drink it.
