| | What is your favorite Wizarding World supplementary material? And why? What is your favorite Wizarding World supplementary material?
And why?
Now that the Wizarding World has expanded so much, you surely have opinions about which new supplementary material is best! Are you a Fantastic Beasts fan? Is Pottermore your jam? How about Hogwarts Mystery or some of the other, older games? There's so much in the expanded universe of our Wizarding World, so let us know your favorites here! The poll is multiple choice, so if you pick more than one option, be sure to tell us why when you post! Rules & Guidelines for this thread:- Before posting, please make sure you have read through the Newbie Process, Snitchseeker's Rules & FAQ, and perused the Site Resources forum.
- This is not a questions thread. If you don't understand something and/or have a real question, go to The Question Thread.
- This is not a discussion thread. Rather, this is a place for you to share your personal experience and relationship with the expanded universe of Rowling's wizarding world. Discussion threads await you once you have graduated Newbie status, however!
- Only talk about materials that are not any of the original 7 Harry Potter books, nor the original 8 films. There are separate threads for you to share your favorites of those here and here!
- No spam. This means no posting off topic or posting multiple times in a row.

| Maps, please... yes, maps.
I like maps.
I like to see how things fit together, where they all are, and what is really going on.
So... it's maps for me. They help centralize my focus and awareness of what's going on where 'in the world' at any given time.

I'd have to agree with the majority and say Pottermore.

I think I like the additional books best. I love reading Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, Quidditch Through The Ages, and Beedle The Bard because it feels like i’m really in that world while i’m reading.

All the above have been such a blessing! For another who has a copy of Quidditch Through the Ages or Hogwarts: A History will agree how adorable the little annotations made by hermione harry and ron are. I do also have to mention that I have appreciated the hogwarts legacy game and the LEGO games. However, hands down best of all are the illustrated books by minalima and jim kay. I'm not sure if they count as supplementary material but definitely an addition we never knew we needed.
PS I've also recently acquired wizards chess which I'm obsessed with and definitely have harassed my friends and house guests into admiring as well.

As a computer gamer I love the Harry Potter computer games series and the Lego games too. I'm a huge fan of Hogwarts Legacy and am on my second playthrough.

Fantastic beasts is great, mostly because Eddie Redmayne is so perfectly cast ! I can totally picture him as a crazy zookeeper.

Quidditch through the Ages by a country mile. I loved reading about the medieval history of Quidditch!
