Hi there, I'm Jess and this is my second time participating in Seektober (see 2022 doodles). Unfortunately I'm completely unprepared this year and have no art supplies with me, but I'm determined anyhow to complete it this year because it was a lot of fun exercising my creativity last year. Without coloured pencils or markers, I'll be utilizing pencils and pens as my art methods although I MAY utilize paint in a graphic program but that'll be a last resort
I'll be utilizing the Aparecium Word Search again this year to select my prompts

Educational Decree [Dolores Umbridge]
For this prompt, I just thought of a stack of papers because of the numerous decrees issued by everyone's Defense Professor that they love to hate on. Which wouldn't be complete without the Ministry stamp of approval.

Your depiction is on point! There really were sooo many, the stack of papers definitely would have applied! Also, speaking of on point, I am SO impressed by your pointing hands on the decree! Hands and gestures using them are so difficult but you nailed it.

drawing a stack of things is actually kind of deceptively difficult to achieve - at least I think so and I take ages to get my lines to look right - and yours looks so effortless nice start, Jess!

On a hiatus because i had drawn the constant vigilance prompt and the drawing wasn't working out the way I hoped, so going to come back to it in hope to keep some momentum going and get caught up a little
Portable Swamp [Umbridge]
With just doing pencil I struggled a little with conveying a swamp, but somehow I thought portable... so I drew a briefcase with a thought bubble of it containing a swamp.

I'm impressed by the pointing hands too. So much that I was trying to do it for another challenge and it wasn't coming out the way I hoped so might just have to go with it if it gets down to the nitty gritty of completing this.

I did two here. The one with the little person first and then I wasn't 100% satisfied so i was like, let me do a frog. But I didn't proportion it correctly and I tried to balance it out some to make it work

Oooh; that Triwizard cup has lots of amazing details, and I think it looks very symmetrical! You seem to have a knack for that. I also think the eraser effect on the foe glass worked awesomely.
And I especially love the cute little person on the Witch/Wizard card. C.B Awesome is awesome, indeed.

I had a laugh at portable swamp in my head that was Newt's briefcase and in it a swamp load of creatures That phoenix is Fawkes flying off CRYING after Dumbledore's demise, okay? Okay. Huzzah for smudges for the foe glass effect! Next time you can try using your finger to smudge if you don't mind getting it a little dirty that's what I do when I smudge my white gel pen for a similar effect. Really like how you captured the glass part of the Triwizard Cup so show that it is a 3D object - its subtle but very much there! I am curious as to who C.B ... Puksope (???) is

Cornish Pixies [Lockhart]
Googling pixies for inspiration I was like, oh that's not that hard... but then i try to draw it and I struggled so hard with this one. my first attempt was sooo disproportionate. but the fun thing about Cornish Pixies is that they're kind of goofy looking. But I definitely struggled on the three-fingered hands and where to position them And cause i realized the prompt said pixies, I put the S in parenthesis because drawing more than one on my paper was not happening

I think it's some of the patterns within the cup that I wasn't being hard about the symmetry
