How to Participate in Seektober

• Create your own thread here in the Seektober forum to share your creations!
  
  Exclusive to Seektober, all threads created in this subforum will receive a special Seektober 2022 prefix. Your art may even appear on the front page of Snitchseeker.com under the Fan Art section!
  
  
  SPOILER!!: how-to create your Seektober thread

  Locate the at the bottom of the forum page and give that a click. You will be brought to a new page with a blank text field where you can submit the first post of your thread (your Seektober 2022). Please make sure to include the following:
  

  • A title! This can be whatever you’d like it to be. We suggest including your username in the title so people know its yours when it pops up on the side bar
  • The Seektober 2022 prefix! There is a drop down menu beside the "Title" field. Make sure to highlight the Seektober 2022 option.
  • An introduction blurb! Let people know what kind of projects they can expect and which challenge/challenges you are aiming to complete. You can include the prompt list in your first post to cross off as you post if you would like
  • An index! To help keep your Seektober 2022 organized and easy for everyone to admire your work, we suggest maintaining a running index linking to your pieces.

  Once you’re done, just hit that 'Submit New Thread' button. Your Seektober 2022 will then be submitted as a moderated thread (mods and admins, please remember to unapprove your threads!) pending approval from one of the Gladrags mods. Once it has been approved, you’re ready to go! Please keep in mind that the Gladrags mods are real people and it may take a day or two before your new thread is processed.
  
  
  
  If you are a member who already has a Portfolio in the Gladrags forum you may use that thread to showcase your work but we do highly encourage you to make a thread specific to this event and share what you create in your Portfolio thread at the conclusion of the event.
  
  Guidelines for Creators
  • Keep the SS Board Rules and the Gladrags rules in mind
  • Your image sizes can be bigger than the SS requirement and in the event that they are please make sure to keep these images under a photocut or a spoiler tag:

  • No plagiarizing. At all. Anyone found plagiarizing will have their Seektober 2022 thread removed and will receive a site warning/infraction. Just don’t do it.
  • We know that creativity waxes and wanes, tis part of the creative process. The provided prompt lists are a set of guidelines that you do NOT have to do in order. If it is day 2 and you are feeling particularly inspired by something on day 15, go for it. Feeling drained and end up missing a day or two (or more - it happens)? Also not a problem and you can do multiple prompts in one day as necessary or set aside a day or two to marathon through them all. The point of Seektober 2022 is to nurture your creativity and try to encourage good creative habits!

• Become an admirer and creative cheerleader:
  Utilize the evaluation station to talk about Seektober and other’s creations!
  
  Or post directly into any member made threads commenting on their creations and cheering them on as they tackle the month’s challenges!

Aparecium 30 Day Challenge

The Aparecium 30 Day Challenge is a creative challenge revealed by you, the creator. How does that work? It is quite simple. From the other challenge prompts (McGonagall, Sprout, Flitwick, Snape, and Dumbledore) you select any 30 prompts that speak to you. Then the process is the same, take a prompt a day to create something daily inspired by a single prompt. You can take as many or as few as you like from each list as long as the total number comes to 30! To make it even more interesting, we have added the Aparecium Prompt Finder Word Search of all of the words from the 4 prompt lists. Whichever word you find first becomes your prompt for that day! It isn't required, it just makes it a little more challenging and interesting! There is no obligation to make something every single day, it is simply a goal to aim for. There are no dates assigned, making it so you can begin whenever. Here is the Aparecium Prompt Finder Word Search that you can download as well if you want to go for that extra challenge! If printing, please keep in mind that the size is for A4 paper, so for all other paper sizes we recommend utilizing the "Fit to Page" printing option.
