This will be my second year participating in Seektober! This year I aim to slightly shuffle the methods of creation used for my entries The inspiration I have chosen for this year? Ahhh, I am! But I still can't help feeling a little sad that Seektober is coming to an end. It's been sad creating things and admiring everyone else's I find that working on these pieces while watching a show is most helpful, so sometimes I'm able to do two pieces. Prompt #6:Gillyweed
Those don't exactly look like rat tails but oh well I tried drawing the gillyweed as a clump/ball but that did not go as planned so I tried another variation. It kinda looks like a palm tree *squints*

Prompt #20:Devil's Snare
Claudine hails from a family of Dark Wizards. She actually watched as some of her family members fight alongside the Neo Alliance. My Slytherin girl would have ended up on that side too had it not been for her questioning the ways of her family as she grew up. Over the years, particularly during her Hogwarts years, she began deviating from her family's evil beliefs. Especially after befriending Bernadette Grantham and Heathcliff Jones. They both made her a better version of herself, and she loves them both for it. She'd do anything to protect them should the need arise {hence the Devil's Snare comparison}.
Anyway, sometimes I really think that her family will come after her to wipe her from the Blaze family tree

The quote on the graphic is a homage to Claudine and Bernie's adventure during their Hogwarts first year {but at Beauxbatons}

Sunshine!! That was my favorite scene to draw when I was a kid too. And I'll still do it when the kids and I are having a random art time. Also is a sun really a sun if it isn't smiling!?
Brb still crying at your Nurturing prompt. I love a well played out friendship and this one has given both our boys so much character development. I love and I appreciate you for playing these two out with me! And this is such a beautiful piece in dedication of them! I love the way the colors all pop!
What a handsome boy your Adi is! I love that you also took the time to dig up the original pics you used of him, it gives it such an extra special meaning to it.
The texture you put over the picture for pot is so fun!! And the tiny cactus is the cutest little thing, omg. I am rooting (heh) for him!!
I also like that watering can is right after the pot. I like that it's such a pretty blue and looks like the water itself. :3
What a beautiful tribute to both your friendship with Krel and the late actor! That picture of him with his little is really just far too precious
I would like to order 10 Hufflepuff mugs please. That yellow is such a perfect Hufflepuff yellow (which honestly can be difficult to find, in my experience!)
I love your puffapod piece. The color really is perfect and absolutely sometimes just a color tells you "YOU WILL PICK ME". And it generally pays off, such as this.
I don't think your gillyweed looks like a palm tree! I really like the way you have drawn the leaves on this one. And I am also super impressed you tried to draw it as a clump because that sounds SUPER difficult!
I love your Claudine piece and the story behind it. We are very proud of her for choosing her own truth and glad she had people who gave her the confidence and support in order for her to be able to!!

Prompt #11:Bobotubers
Nothing but a simple bubotuber with ready-to-squeeze- pus I think I got the resemblance to a 'thick, black slug' somewhat accurately. But my favourite part was that pot! There's nothing like multicolours to keep things attractive!

While debating on what colour to put these gloves in, Aria piped up rather LOUDLY saying that this pair is hers and for that reason, they should be purple {it's her fave colour}. So, here we have purple gloves with tiny green dragon scales

I... have no idea what I did here exactly? Feeling rather lazy and drained from today, I just decided to play around with editing the image and I ended up with this baby It's pleasing on the eyes, IMO.

Prompt #12:Herbology
With this prompt, I come to an end with my creations for Seektobe 2022. This is a dedication to Professor Sprout who has been such an integral part of the Wizarding World, in defending it and in moulding new generations of witches and wizards. We love you, Professor Sprout!
A few posts back, Felixir had given me an idea about warm fuzzies so this piece is also dedicated to all the SSers. Here's to accepting everyone for who they are and for reminding each other that its our differences that make us great. Last Tuesday {25th October}, it was my 17th SS anniversary; It hadn't occurred to me when I joined the site as a Form 2 {8th Grade} youngster that I would still be a part of this community after so many years. Getting to know my fellow SSers has been a privilege for me.
Oh my goodness, it's been a little while since I've been able to come in here and comment, and wow do you have a lot for me to admire! And I see you've finished all the prompts - congratulations on finishing! I especially like lil Mandy the Mandrake, so cute! And I love the badger too. you have made SO many things since I was last here *rolls around in all the pretties and picks out my favourites* the badger is perfect, that little side-eye got me good, and badgers are deceptively difficult to draw. excellent work on that lil guy. also I know what you mean about greenhouses being pleasing on the eyes, my eyes like it too - and ain't that just the way, when messing around in photoshop and playing with filters/textures etc end up with some neat pieces of art.
Mandy the Mandrake is the most adorable little deadly screaming plant I have ever seen, and I just say. and ;; got me all emo with that last prompt. what a touching way to end the challenge with *catapults love and warm fuzzies at u*
