| | |  Map of Argyllshire
 Hanging in a spot on the second floor is a framed map of Argyllshire. This old, out-dated map features the Scottish county and surrounding areas before they were abolished in 1975. It isn't clear why the map was originally hung up at Hogwarts and many still don't understand why it is still featured in the second-floor corridor today. If anything, it makes for a good conversation starter or an easy-to-find place to meet up with someone.
Even though the map's purpose at Hogwarts isn't clear, you might find looking at it worth your while anyway. The map reflects the weather that is occurring outside -- if it is raining, a thick and dark mass will cloud the map until it clears; the landscape of the map will turn green when bright and sunny; during autumn the landscape changes colour; and the map gradually starts to turn white and freezes the rivers, lakes, and lochs on the map when snow begins to fall outside. When it is nighttime, the colours on the map dim except for where the towns are. Pretty cool, right?

The autumn colors had faded from the map by this time, though it didn't quite yet reflect the cold, snowy landscapes of winter. It was a bit dreary though, with its dull browns and greys, not so different from the weather outside today.
And so perhaps your eye would be quickly drawn to the string tied to a few index cards hanging next to the map. There was no hook for it to hang on; magic alone held it in place. It won't be difficult to take one for yourself, however, for the magic will release it easily enough. And if you have come here from Boris the Bewildered, you'll certainly want to take one, as it contains your next clue.

Getting into the spirit of the event, Evan had quickened his pace as they made their way back downstairs and towards the Map of Argyllshire. The Ravenclaw hardly glanced at the map to see what the weather was, more focused on the clue cards currently located there. Grabbing one, Evan flipped it up and read it. "Hmm... Room of achievements. It has to be the trophy room doesn't it?" He couldn't think of anything else. Except maybe wherever they took exams, but considering he was probably one of the only people to think of THAT, trophy room seemed a far more likely option.
Evan offered the card he'd already opened to the next person to join him from Boris the Bewildered. "Unless anyone else is thinking of something I'm not?" He could take being wrong.

“Yes! THAT!’’ Jude replied enthusiastically to Violet. How did she make pronouncing that word seem so effortless? “To the second floor indeed,’’ he added to Evan. This was turning out to be the best scavenger hunt he had been a part of. Then again, with a group of friends like this one, that certainly came as no surprise.
Jude kept up pace with his friends and when Evan snagged the next clue, he read it carefully. In the next location they would find the prize. Yay! But also nay because it would mean the end of this fun hunt. “We should check that out. I mean, unless you count the books in the library listing achievements, the Trophy Room is a good place to start.” And they could always check the library if the Trophy Room was a dead end. | |

The Trophy Room was what had sprang to mind immediately for Violet as well. "I agree," she chimed in. "About the Trophy Room, that is." Although...now that she thought about it, maybe the Trophy Room was too obvious--things were seldom, if ever, simple at Hogwarts, after all.

Okay, so both seemed to also think Trophy Room was the next best option. Though... Evan did also like Jude's thoughts regarding the library being an option, and he found himself nodding in agreement that might have been a possibility as well. Had Violet voiced her thoughts that the trophy room was too obvious, he would have agreed as well and then probably voiced they should try the library first. "Okay, we try the Trophy room then. It's thankfully only one floor back up. And if that doesn't work... Library?" All of this walking.. was this card collector club only or had Professor Applewood also teamed up with Headmaster Kazmi and the Healer for Health and Wellness?
"Back up then?" he was counting this excursion as his work out for the day.
