Asher heard someone behind him but didn't bother to turn around. It was probably someone walking past to go to the lift or to their office. He needed help deciding, healthy or...not so healthy. It wasn't until the footsteps got VERY close that Asher turned around. About that time she nearly walked into him. He chuckled placing his hands on her upper arms to steady her and make sure she didn't get off balance. "It's quite alright." He said dropping his arms back down to his side. "I get to reading and forget what I'm doing, been there done that." He chuckled as he took her hand in his large hand. "Asher Holden." He said nodding his head once to show he got her name. Though it might not have meant anything, he was horrid with names.

Violet was glad the gentleman wasn't angry with her for nearly knocking him to the ground. "Well it's nice to meet you Asher." Violet thought it wasn't such a bad idea to sit and chit chat with the man now that they were introduced. "Humm...I think I'll get a candy bar." Violet put her money in and got herself some cady. "Would you like one? It's the least I can do for almost killing you." Violet giggled and offered him a candy bar as well.

"As it is to meet you Violet." Asher said with a nod of his head. He turned back around to the snack cart, continuing to debate if he wanted candy or something healthy. "Ah no, it's quite alright." Asher said politely refusing her candy bar. "It could have happened to anyone." He told her, "And besides, I need to eat a bit healthier." He chuckled as he put in his own money and pulled out carrot sticks. He'd have to bare with it, he wanted to be fit for the wedding.

Watching Asher choose carrot sticks made Vi feel a little guilty for going with her favoirte Muggle candy bar. 'hermm....maybe I should get healthier too' Vi thought to her self. "Well you made a better choice than I did. So where about do you work in the ministry?" Violet asked motioning to the building around here, obvioulsy he worked here if he was up on level 6 getting a snack. Vistors always use the cafeteria on level 4 when them came.

Asher chuckled, "I've been debating on the carrot sticks or Muggle candy for a few minutes before you came along. It was a tough choice." He said nodding his head. "I work down in the Department of Mysteries." Asher said nodding his head slowly, that was pretty much all he could talk about. Considering, he couldn't talk about anything related to his department. Work subjects were bad to bring up with him, he couldn't contribute to them at all.

"hello Asher" i think all have some carrots sticks and and ranch she pays and srands and " how have you been asher" i'm going to find out when my due date is she smiles and she asks do you have girlfriend

"Well there's a double edge sword for you." Vi took another bite of her her candy bar. "That's a boring subject and a fasinating subject all at the same time." Violet had never worked in the Department of Mysteries before she knew how hard it was for them to talk about things. "Well, I work on Level 5 in Innternation Magical Cooperation. I can talk about that, but most people don't like it when I do." Violet laughed a the thought. She had bored her son to death the last time she did.

Asher turned towards another approaching figure. Ah, it was...it was...the lady from the cafe. Yeah, Cafe Lady. The one with six children. How could it be he could remember everything but someone's name? Asher had no idea. Asher gave Cafe Lady a smile and nodded his head back as a greeting. They had meet earlier that week in the cafe in Muggle London. And yet he still wasn't in much of a talkative mood with her. "Decent." Asher said, "Thank you for asking. And yourself?" He asked back to be polite. He nodded his head when she talked about her due date. That was an odd subject for him, he wanted to forget about being a Healer in previous years and was thankful that hardly anyone knew of it. Girlfriend? Boy, Cafe Lady was spontaneous. "Girlfriend no, but I am engaged." Asher said quietly with a smile.

Asher nodded his head. "Oh yeah." He chuckled. "Tell me about." He laughed. It was differnt talking to...ah, what was her name? He had just met her and had already forgot the name...TheReader, yeah, it was different talking to TheReader. Asher assumed it was Cafe Lady's way of barging up to him that scared him off. Though he wasn't quite sure how that was different than someone nearly knocking him down to the ground. He chuckled inside as he contemplated the difference. "Really?" He questioned, though of course she did! She had just said it. "Believe, I don't get bored easily." He told TheReader, some of his Greek writings were boring.

Violet was not antcipating have such a great conversation at the snack cart. Maybe she would have to come around her more often to meet some great people. "Well that's great, so some day I can talk about my job and not bore the pants off you." Violet took the last bite of her candy bar and realized that she probally get back to work, but she didn't want to. Asher was a good guy to talk to. Violet watched as another woman came up to them as well. She talked soley to Asher, 'hermm...wonder what's that about' Violet thought to her self, so engaged? Violet had learned alot about the man with out even having to ask herself. "Well congrats on the engaged. She's a lucky lady." Violet remembered when she was engaged, every one told her she was too young maybe they were right after all.

Asher nodded his head briefly before he chomped down on a carrot stick. "I don't bore easily." Asher told her with a chuckle after he had chewed and swallowed the carrot. "There's a variety of things that interest me, so I'm quite sure that you talking about your department won't bore me in the slightest." Asher confirmed for her. He was actually curious, he wanted to know what other departments were like. Ah, they were talking about Chloe now. "I'm a lucky man, I'm still trying to get over the shock of actually being engaged." Asher laughed quietly, he definitely was still head over heels for Chloe and that would never change.

Pfft. Claire needed coffee. A morning of being attacked by giant animal figurines was pretty tiring. She had to have caffeine if she was going to continue the day, else she might just... faint, or something. Whatever. Sighing, she poured herself a latte and sipped it gingerly, hoping it wasn't too hot. Which it was, and it burnt her tongue. Excellent. She set it down on top of the cart and grabbed a bottle of water, taking a cool, refreshing sip. Better, much better. But her tongue still hurt. Smooth, wasn't she? Yupp.

But oh well. Figuring the coffee was probably cooler by now, she poured a tiny bit of milk in and took another sip. Yeah, that was better. She took another sip and set it down again, looking at all the snack food. Now she was hungry....

The third place Katrina needed to go to in the Ministry? Wherever the coffee was. She headed straight to the snack cart and poured herself a nice warm latte. She blew on the top before she took a drink of it, savoring the warm sweet taste. She noticed someone burn their tongue and smiled. She looked a bit familiar... hmm...

"Hi, coffee's a bit hot isn't it," Katrina said with a smile. "I'm Katrina, Katrina Rayne," she said, introducing herself before taking another drink. Ah, caffeine addict, forever and always.

Claire blew a little on her coffee and took a drink, almost jumping and dropping the thing at the sound of a voice. A person! The first person she'd met at the Ministry! Yay! Eck. Lots of exclamation marks in her thoughts. Pfft. Anyway. She put the drink on the cart again and smiled at the girl, who looked about the same age as Claire herself. Oh, that was good. It meant that somewhere, there were more people her age, and not all really old people. Thank goodness.

'Just a tad,' she said with a grin, and had a little sip of water to get rid of the uncomfotable feeling that was still lingering on her tongue. Blech. 'Nice to meet you, Katrina. I'm Claire Glass,' she said with another smile.

Katrina smiled and took another sip of her caffeine-infested drink. She cradled the drink in her hands, grateful for the warmth it provided. It was much better than the harsh winter air. That made three then. Three as is in the third not-old person she met.

"It's nice to meet you as well Claire," she said, lifting the cup to her lips and taking another drink. "So, what department are you in?" Katrina asked, smiling. It would be nice if she worked in the same department... hmm... maybe...

Claire smiled happily at Katrina and took another sip of the coffee, frowning as she realised she'd finished the cup already. She poured another and left it on the cart for a moment, waiting for it to cool. She was sure there was a spell for that, but she didn't know it. Or just didn't remember it. Either way, it would be a useful one to learn, with the amount of coffee she drank.

'Magical Transportation, Apparations Department. It's my first day today' she said with a smile. And she was so excited, though she hoped they weren't invaded by figurines everyday. That would be bad, and would probably ruin her wardrobe. And alll her heels and vintage dresses! Nuu! 'How about you?' she asked, wondering if they were in the same department. That would be nice...

Katrina took another drink before refilling it mixing in five creams and three sugars. She blew at the top, waiting for it to cool a bit and then took another sip. Eep, hot, Katrina sputtered a bit. Hot, coughed and then blushed. How embarrassing!!

"Cool, I'm in Magical Transportation as well, though I'm in Broom Regulatory," Katrina said with a smile. "Busy day, right?" Katrina said, chuckling a bit awkwardly. Today was definitely tiring, her boots were scuffed and she wanted to crawl back home.
