Disappoint fans? Waverly blinked at the Ministry woman - Friday, she had said her name was? - rather confused. Why would there be disappointed fans? From the way she saw it, the ones winning would know it was worth buying the ticket or not .. and the ones losing .. well, they could go on a family vacation with the money they'd save from the tickets!

Clearly, it was a win-win situation.

Just as she was about to inform the woman infront of her of that, she disappeared to go and greet some other workers, she supposed. Hehe. Ministry was quite busy, wasnt it? She wondered if perhaps they needed a seer.

"OH! Since always, I'd say." Waverly smiled when Frida returned, waving her arms around in a mysterious fashion. She thought it was mysterious, anyway. It wasn't. "I remember being able to see that my cousin would come to visit me in the afternoons. And being me chocolate ice cream." Important stuff like that.

Looking carefully at Roheo, Frida simply nodded. "It is a precious gift." She said politely and picked up her writing instrument off of her lap again and twirled it in her fingers.
Things needed to be done with quickly, and handled in the same fashion.

"Tell me," Frida began to say with a very bright smile, "How do you like the Ministry? It's been very hectic here for quite some time. What with the World Cup and all...not to mention a good number of new employees." She tilted her head to the woman that had entered the room a few moments ago. Frida's body seemed to have become oddly still as she waited for a response.

Seeing that the situation was now under control, Ben cleared his throat. Best to get out of here before things got...ugly.

"Well, now that you're all settled in, I think I'll be excusing myself," Ben said with a polite smile. "I have a lot of work to finish before the big event!" he added. With that, he turned on his heel and walked out the door, closing it and then locking it from the outside...just in case.

Richard listened to Roheo. His face didn't show it but he was slightly fascinated by the woman. It wasn't that he never believed in seers it was just that they tended to come with airs and graces.
So Miss Roheo" said Richard pulling out his wand subtly and polishing it on his jacket as if that was the reason he had extracted it, "have you considered how this information would affect some of the gamblers and bookmakers in the wizarding community at all?"

"Oh, thank you, Miss!" Waverly said, bright grin in place when the nice woman complimented her gift. It truly was quite the amazing one. So useful and it made her feel so important! Everybody envied her, she was positive. Being able to see the future was one handy gift to have. Oh, so much better and useful than .. talking to snakes, for instance!

That was just creepy. Mmhmm.

But how did she like the Ministry? Waverly blinked. Surely she hadn't been brought here to discuss politics! Merlin, she hoped not!

Taking advantage of the fact that nice, pretty man was leaving, Waverly turned away from the woman and her politics question. "Oh, bye bye! It was nice meeting youuuu!" Hehe. Hmmm. Weird. This room didnt look half as cosy now. And had he locked the door?! How very weird!

"It's ... alright." She replied, turning back to Frida with a light shrug of her shoulders. "It must be cause it's so busy that they're hiring new employees, right?" Ooh. That other man seemed to have woken up and Waverly turned to him, bright smile on her face. "But of course! There's nothing wrong with helping people make some money, right? Or save some money incase they were planning on betting on the ... loser team." Assuming that what she had seen was right.

Which, of course, it was. Hehe.

Richard raised his eyebrows at this quick response.
"Yes, it would save alot of spectator's money and give them alot but the bookmakers would be bankrupt on something of this scale. But letting that happen would be a gamble in itself" explained Richard. "Anyway thats by the by now" he said looking at Frida as if to say "shall we start now?"
"Now where abouts were you when you had the prediction of the winners" Richard asked in his casual voice before shrugging and adding "just for the usual paperwork, you know how it is".

Frida glanced sideways to Richard, who had cast her a look as well. She nodded her head the slightest bit, to the point where it was barely detectable.
"Miss Roheo." Frida said and set her hands on the desk in front of her, this time with her wand in her right hand; it's gorgeous and polished teak wood gleaming in the light. "I'm afraid that we seemed to be locked in...there must be an emergency drill of some sort going on. It's just standard precaution."

"Obliviate!"

It was almost frightening how quickly Frida's wand flashed across the seer's path of vision. There was a burst of white light as Frida cast her spell, and the teak wand held a smaller, steady glow as Frida kept it at eye level to Roheo.
Similar to an editor, Frida skimmed through various memories. Childhood, school, family gatherings, and friendly faces. But those were not the correct memories that needed to be dealt with.

Flashes of various recollections met Frida's own eyes until finally-
'That's the one...' The woman thought to herself as time seemed to slow down and Roheo's memory of a Quidditch match came into view. They were the correct team uniforms on the players, and the supporting spectators in the background swayed in and out of focus.
Frida flicked the tip of her wand very slightly, cancelling out each and every second of Roheo's prediction of the upcoming Quidditch world cup. Her wandtip lowered slightly as she looked over to Richard to finish the task.
"Go on." She whispered, and continued to hold Roheo's focus, and not daring to let the seer free of her charm just yet.

Richard watched as Frida obliviated the memory from Roheo's mind. Her eyes did the usual, they became unfocused and slightly crossed.

He concentrated on Roheo as well as pointing his wand at her forehead. He could feel a pressing on his temples like a magnet to hers. He could feel it drawing him towards but he didn't have to be head to head with her nor did he have to pull away from it, he just had to keep it going as if he was teasing a fish on a line.

He imagined her sitting in a cafe and dozing off. She had awoken with a horrible jolt after a vivid nightmare of not being able to see a thing in a crystal ball. All her tarot cards had been proven wrong and her inner sight was blocked completely forever. And she had not been able to explain why. That was a nightmare but upon waking it was more serious than that she had not been able to find out what she would having for dinner next friday. So she had rushed to the ministry to find out how she had lost some of those powers. Of course she hadn't. She had only dreamt them. This felt as if it was filling the room but it wasn't, just along the line between him and Roheo.

As Roheo's eyes came slowly into focus Richard said in a quiet and comforting voice, "I told you it was only a nightmare. You're still at the top of your game".

He watched her for a couple of seconds to make sure she'd got the jist of what was going on and he was sure she had but you had to careful with minds.

Frida lowered her wand as it finally dimmed and placed it into her pocket. "Miss Roheo, please trust us. Your mind is as sharp as ever, nothing seems out of place."
Her voice was level and calm, as though she had been carrying on a conversation for a good few minutes.
She took out a small box of wrapped candies and set it down on her desk in front of Roheo. "If it will help to calm your nerves a bit more, help yourself. Dreams can be a bit frightening...especially when they involve something important to us."

Frida reached under her desk and stroked Webster's head. He had remained silent the entire time, and was happily chewing on a rawhide toy.
With a subtle flick of her wand, Frida unlocked the office door.

"Well Roheo as the best people in the ministry to advise you on things like this we can say that it was a nightmare and that was that. You can carry on your divining skills as well as you ever did" said Richard sitting down and clasping his hands together.
He was half tempted to say "so are you looking forward to the quidditch world cup" but that would be tempting fate or risking her powers rearing themselves at bait.
"By the way Miss Roheo" added Richard whilst scratching his quill on a slip of paper, "if you wish to have a coffee or a tea in the cafeteria to recupurate, feel free to have a couple on me". His hand whisked off the end of his signature and handed it to the seer.
He pushed himself up from the chair and walked away from the woman whilst rolling his eyes at Frida.
He leant over his desk and flicked through files from the Department of Magical Games and Sports about escaped broomsticks from Lancashire.

Green eyes slightly glazed over and crossed, Waverly stared at nothingness without really seeing .. without really knowing what she was doing. What was going on. Not even being able to know if she was awake.

All she remembered as her eyes returned to normal, was that nightmare. The fear and worry rushing over her. Her rushing to the Ministry.

Blinking a couple of times, Waverly stared blankly at the couple of people in front of her, wondering how they knew about that already. OH! She had already told them? How long had she been here, then? When they both reassured her that it had been nothing but a nightmare and that she was still a good seer as she had always been, Waverly smiled at them, her expression even more dazed than usual. "Oh, thank you! I was so worried."

With a wave of her hand, she dismissed the offer the man had made her. Coffee was bad for her, it messed up with her divining and tea ... well, she only drunk very special tea. "I think I'll have to pass on that. If that's okay, I would like to go home? I miss my crystal ball."

Frida nodded and smiled warmly, "That is perfectly fine." She stood up from her own desk and continued to watch Roheo carefully, "Now if anything like that ever happens again, just reassure yourself that it was a dream and nothing more. A seer's abilities don't simply disappear of course, they will weaken over time if anything. Nighmares can be quite terrifying."

With another flick of her wand, Frida opened the door from where she was standing. "And you certainly may return to your home. A good night's rest would do you some good as well I should think." She held out her hand in order to shake in farewell.

Richard quickly signed the bottom of a report from the misuse of muggle artefacts office. He heard Roheo say she couldn't have the hot drinks from the cafeteria. He rolled his eyes before turning around again.
"Yes Miss Roheo if there's something on your mind then nine times out of ten sleep will help" said Richard putting his hands in his trouser pockets as he walked back over.
"So Miss Bok, do we have any other plans for the day?" he asked as he perched on the edge of a desk.

"As of yet, nothing much. I expect that we will be needed soon for our upcoming task however." Frida sat up straight and gasped as Webster hopped onto her lap. He was a fairly large dog after all, and had to weigh at least sixty pounds...even if he was still a little thin from being a stray.
"You're a troublemaker." Frida said to the dog before glancing to Richard again as Webster attempted to get himself in a more comfortable position. "Unless you would like to practice your skills? I'm sure I can conjure or summon a few dummies for use."
'Yes. That might be a good idea. Getting everyone prepared for controlling crowds.'

The woman's grey eyes landed on the newcomer. 'She looks awfully young.' Frida thought to herself and stroked Webster's head.
"I'm sorry, dear." Frida said and eyed her new employee, "But I'm afraid I don't know your name."
Even as she spoke, a letter came soaring into the room and landed gently on Frida's desk. In short, it was her new employee's resume.

"Your name is Annie?" Frida asked and looked to the woman again. Her voice remained level and quite pleasing to the ear. "Are there any questions you have for Richard or myself?"

Annie nodded her head and smiled at Frida, but then her syes turned towards the dog named Webster. Those muddy brown eyes looked so friendly. They kind Of Reminded her of her old pet owl.

"Yes, maam, My name is Annie. And I'm afraid i don't understand what i am supposed to be questioning as I couldn't help but look at your wonderful dog." Annie Blushed when she realised how odd then sounded.

Frida blinked for a moment before pushing Webster off of her lap. "Well, if there's anything you would like to know about work, such as what I and the department head expect of you."

There was a loud *Bang* as Webster landed heavily on his feet and looked up at Frida, his head tilted slightly, even though his tail still was wagging.
He wandered over to Richard and sniffed the man's shoes before wagging his tail some more and trotting over towards Annie.

Frida sighed and watched Webster cooperate with those around him. "Webster was actually a prior experiment for the team here. I found him on one of my shopping trips and brought him home with me, since I couldn't resist. Apparently he had some very bad experiences with people, and only liked to socialize with me. So Richard, and Nath worked together and modified his memory...you can see that he is quite friendly now."

Even as Frida spoke, Webster was trying to place his damp nose underneath Annie's hand, almost as if he was asking for a treat, or for attention.

With another look around the room, Frida flicked her wand and two coat racks emerged from a closet. Another flick and the limbs twisted and turned, the knob on the top widened and spiraled into strange shapes before both racks began to take a more solid appearance.
'Some practice would do nicely.' Frida thought and gave her teak wand a final slashing motion, completing the transformation. The woman smiled slightly as she gazed on the two newly formed dummies.

"Richard." Frida said and looked to the man who was still sitting on a nearby desk, "Name one thing about crowded social events that can pose a problem. And Annie, I would like you to name one as well. Anything you two can think of...."

Annie smiled and pated Websters head, then turned her attention to Frida.

"Well," Annie Began, "In the magical community there are many things in a crowded social event that can cause a problem, for example, what if some muggle were to notice. i mean, a bunch of wizards anywhere, is pretty hard to miss!" And then she laughed, and continued to stroke Webster.

"That is true." Frida said as she watched Webster carefully to see how he was continuing to behave.
"It is possible for muggles to notice a large number of people in an area, especially if fellow witches and wizards are not taking precautions and go about their business as they would in our world." She scribbled down, 'Unwanted Attention' on a piece of parchment.
"This is also a reason why our division is needed. If too many muggles become suspicious, or if they discover something that we don't want them to know, then that's when we're called in."

Frida smiled sweetly at her temporary pet and spoke again, "Anything else you can think of? I'm sure you've been to a popular game or concert. Is there anything you've noticed that seems to always involve a large number of people? How do others tend to behave...?"

Richard nodded at Annie, "hello Annie. Welcome to the floor. Good point" he said thinking about it. He remembered a riot in Russia over a broom race.

"Well Miss Bok" said Richard "I suppose in extreme circumstances things can get a little heated amongst fans. Fights and all that, I know the magical law enforcement squad will sort out crowd control but it's something to keep an eye out for. It could easily lead to a muggle seeing displays of magic or their police could start patrolling the surrounding area making it difficult for fans to leave".

Richard scratched Webster behind an ear as he passed.

Frida smiled a little bit more and nodded, "That would be the most dangerous outcome, yes." She narrowed her eyes playfully as Webster sat on his rear and scratched his neck with his hind foot.
"A riot is what we don't want to happen or course, and yet they occur. People tend to act like animals when they get together in large numbers...possibly the energy in the air, or the fact that they are aware that they stand a chance at not being caught. You could call it a domino-effect even, once one person begins to behave against standards, then others may follow and before you know it we have a very difficult situation on our hands." Frida walked over to one of the dummies she had made and flicked her wand, the formed head started to twitch a little bit.

"Have any of you had any training as far as self defense goes? Both in physical and dueling combat?" If not, then that would be a good lesson to give.

Annie stepped forward. "Not really." She paused, slightly uncomfortable. "But I am a quick study and would be wiling to learn, if my help is required." She added optomistically, and then smiled.

She pased for a little while and then spoke. "How are we to be absolutely sure to prevent a Riot, It is unforgivable to control people using magic."

Richard nodded at Frida.
"Yeah, in extreme circumstances it can kick off" said Richard as he raised his hands in a kind of these-things-do-happen way.

"Yeah I'm quite good at duelling" replied Richard as he shrugged and then added, "never my strong point at Hogwarts but I've picked up quite a bit of -"
He paused as he raised his eyebrows and his eyes turned towards Annie. He had strong ethics over controlling people with magic of course but some spells were necessary over some people. He'd the confundus charm so many times and those had been necessary in cases where the truth or what the person would have said would have done no good whatsoever.

"Well whatever we put in place Annie I'm pretty sure we can only be ninety per cent sure that a riot won't break out. Baring in mind that it is pretty...unethical to control people with magic, it is the better of two bad situations...really" said Richard in a slow voice and he finished it with moving his head side to side awkwardly.

He glanced back at Frida to see what she made of this.

Frida nodded lightly at Annie, "That's alright." She said and removed her heavy cloak from around her shoulders, the sleeves were far too long and might interfere with her upcoming work. "I'll be sure to instruct you on the basics...and I assume that you finished all seven years of school?" The woman looked up again with her grey eyes and surveyed her newest employee, taking into consideration the girl's question.

"We are never able to prevent riots all the time. In most cases we rely on one another to act appropriately, especially when things become heated. Much like with anything else, there is always the chance for error." She gave her wand a flick and the office door closed carefully. "Just because we are Ministry employees, we are not able to use our abilities to gain control over others. We simply have to act on our best judgement and offer support in upholding the law, making sure that no one is harmed, or that certain participants do not take advantage of any 'opportunities' that may come their way. I'm sure we've all read about or have hear stories of what happened while Harry Potter attended the Quidditch World Cup all those years ago, and we certainly don't want anything along those lines to happen again."
Frida sighed a bit and looked at the teak wand that was in her hands, "It would be an ideal world if we were able to go anywhere and not risk the chance of coming across trouble. But that's not the case. So we will just do whatever we can to ensure the public's safety."
"That's good that you have had some further skill in dueling, Richard." Frida said as her eyes were still staring at the wand in her hands, almost as though the woman was in a trance.
"It's certainly going to come in handy. And while I don't expect for anything to go horribly wrong while we tend to the World Cup, one can never be sure, so it's best to be safe."

Tearing her gaze away from the teak wood, Frida looked to Annie, then to Richard again. "Under no circumstances will we be allowed to use any 'mind controlling' spells on a member of the public during this sort of event. The chance of misfire is also high..not to mention the use of an unforgivable curse would merit immediate termination and imprisonment."
She watched as Webster's tail stopped wagging for a moment before he came trotting over to Frida's desk, slinked underneath it, and sat on the floor while beginning to gnaw on his bone again.

"During the event, there will be a very high number of Ministry employees keeping track of everything, and making sure that nothing is amiss." Frida pulled her desk chair away from the dog to give a little extra room.
"However, if the instance arises and the use of spells is needed, especially in order to defend yourself or regain order, then more basic disarming spells and stunning spells will be allowed. Though of course if things were to really get out of hand...." She stopped and shook her head. No. Now Frida was being silly. There would be no mass chaos, this was a sporting even they were all taking part in, not a political meeting.

But there was always the chance....

Frida looked to her employees, and after a couple of blinks she burst into laughter.
"Listen to me ranting on and on..." She said after catching her breath, "I hope the both of you aren't worried now. Hmm hmm..." The woman chuckled again and took a deep sigh.
"For the most point, our division will only have to deal with those involved with slipped information, damaged memories, and maybe...if it's even possible, altering minds of muggles who have wandered into the wrong place. I do believe that we will be helping the Experimental Charms division as well, just so that we are all absolutely certain that any wrong-doings are worked out."
With a final grin, Frida began to twirl her wand in-between her fingers, "So, any last questions or concerns before we do a little drill?" 'Perhaps a round of 'what ifs' is in order.'

Annie grinned, Charms were right up her street. When she attended Hogwarts, she was practically always top of the class in that subject!

"But, Dont you think we should also be prepared for the worst case senario. I know that doesn't sound very nice, or upbeat but i still think we need to address the issue." Annie shifted nervously, maybe she should tone down on the depressing talk. It wasn't like her to be anxious.

"That's exactly why I'm going to be having you both practice some scenario work." Frida said as she waved her wand, summoning one of the formed dummies over. It looked very much like a crash-test model, but it had strange black eyes on it that gave it a creepier expression.

She looked to Annie again, "I'm afraid you haven't answered my question." Frida said sweetly, though in an obviously authorative voice, "You have finished all seven years of schooling?" With another flick of her wand, the dummy actually blinked and shook it's head. After a moment, it began to move it's arms and legs, shaking them as well, and started to pivot on the floor where it was standing.
Frida reached into her bag and took out what appeared to be a rather old wand; which she then placed into the dummie's two digit hands and forced it to take hold. "Don't worry. Since it's obviously under my control, it won't be able to cause too much damage." She nodded her head to the wand, "That's a training wand." Frida said, "At the Acadamy where I was educated during summer months they actually had us paired up with things just like this until we were reliable enough to duel one another. It can only use a few spells, so it's very safe."

Once the dummy had a steady hold of the wand, Frida turned to Annie again, "Have you had much experience in using the Obliviator's spells?" She asked politely, "Since I haven't seen you in action yet, perhaps that is what my first task should be." She glanced around the room in search of a possible test subject. 'Perhaps Webster could gain the knowledge of chewing only on bones, and not table legs.'
