And it was so true, after studying her International Business career, she thought of never having to solve those deals, but just learn day by day the many possibilities. "So, I gotta thank you, you woke me up...and I just reacted the worse way, which I have to apologize for to you..." She said, with a warm smile.
"So, are we good?" She asked Malachi, holding out her hand to shake it.
Malachi gave her a wide, easy smile. "I'm fine thank you Di." A certain person's smile came to mind; he had to admit that life was good at the moment. He shook Di's hand and said, "I didn't think for a second that you don't take your job seriously. You're very dependable and I really appreciate that. You were showing initiative, which is always a good thing. Let's just forget it happened and move on, shall we?"
At that point, the Department Head called the meeting to order:

So what if it was boasting a bit? She was the luckiest woman in the world, and she didn't care who knew it. "I figure I should tell you a bit about myself and how this department is going to run under my leadership. I graduated from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry," though she wouldn't tell them what year so as to not draw attention to her youth, "and then spent many years living abroad in several different countries among Muggles and Wizards alike until I arrived here about a year ago and began working in the Department of Magical Education. My second favorite place to live is New York City in America," she finished, deciding to give them a bit of a fun fact.
And now on to the part that would be in their best interest to hear. "Let me give you a few tips on how I operate, just so we're all clear on my expectations. First and foremost, I do not tolerate disrespect of any kind whether it is a superior speaking to their employee or an employee speaking to their superior. What does this mean? Division Heads, I expect you to treat those in your charge with politeness, kindness, and respect. If there is a problem, report it to me. If anyone has a problem with their Division Head, do not talk back or get an attitude with them, just come see me. Also, no more of this not knowing people from other divisions. This entire department is one big team, and I want all of you to feel as though you can trust the people around you and count of them to do their assigned tasks.
In addition to these, there are the obvious rules. Do not be tardy, complete your work in a timely and efficient fashion, if you are ill please owl your division and let them know, and never invade the person work space of another without permission," she finished this part of spiel, giving her employees a kind smile. "Basically, I just want this to be a very positive work environment. I don't want anyone to absolutely dread coming to work. And on that note, if there's ever something going on, whether it be work-related or otherwise, please don't hesitate to come talk to me in my new office," she explained warmly. She sure hoped they were all getting all of this and didn't think she was a mean person with all of her talk about always respecting others and whatnot. Really, it was just for the benefit of everyone.
"Now, on to business!" she said clapping her hands together. "This department has received a very special project, directly from the Minister. I met with the Senior Undersecretary, and she passed me our orders. What we need is for you lovely people to draft letters to all the foreign ministers whom Minister Taylor met on her recent travels. Here is a list of the ministers," she said, waving her wand, causing the list to appear on the board of the conference room. "So please choose one now, inform me of your choice, and then begin drafting the letters. I trust you are all familiar with the issues that were addressed at each of these foreign ministries," she finished, smiling around at her employees, having complete confidence in them. "I know there aren't enough of you know. The Minister and Senior Undersecretary will be contacting me with more shortly, and they will be posted on the Notice Board. So, who would like to pick first?"
OOC: Please RP your character choosing a minister to write to. Get creative with this! I realize that you do not know any problems that these countries may have spoken to Minister Taylor about, so basically... make it up! If you'd like, go so far as to do some research on the country, imagine what problems these countries magical communities might have. Your character's letter should be a sort of follow-up to Minister Taylor's visit. If you have questions, PM me!
After a few others had spoken, Malachi raised a hand. "I'll write to the Fijian Minister, if that's okay? I spent a few years out there." Malachi knew that there was a letter of refernce somewhere on file from the Fijian Ministry about him. He took another sip of coffee, hoping that a few more members of his division would volunteer soon.
Helena turned away from J.J Starr as Miss Everhart stood up and began to tell them about herself. She listened to the womans rules and what she expected of the department. Most of it was probably easier said than done. Luckily, Helena was usually a positive person, so these things would be no problem for her.
So... They'd be writing owls to the Ministers, for our Ministry. Helena looked at the list and then spoke up, "I'll write to Minister Anouk Lefèvre, Miss Everhart. Seeing as I come from France, I know the current affairs well enough to be able to write this letter better than I could any of the other Countries."She said simply, hoping that it would be fine to do so.

Helena listened to Miss Everhart as she explained, and nodded in response, "Yes...I know. I'll be sure to remember that and keep it in mind, though." She said, with a small smile. Gosh. This was going to be a big project. Letter writing never was her strongest point.
" Yes. I had lots of experiences in different areas of the Ministry" J.J. Starr told Helena. " I had lots of experiences in the sports world, too" Joe Jon montcenaggio said to Helena. " hopefully this will translate into talking to a lot of people in the world" j.J. explained to Helena." Good choice, France" J.J. Starr smiled.
"Australia, I want to visit there some day" J.J. Starr told Blair. "Sure, we can have lunch sometime for sure" Joe Jon Montcenaggio said to Blair.Take care of yourself" J.J. smiled a freindly smile at Blair.
" Yes, I will be writing that letter as soon as this conference is over" J.J. Starr smiled at Miss Everheart. " I will not be able to contain myself until I get a letter back from Minister Abigail Road" Joe Jon montcenaggio laughed.
J.J. met her a couple of times.
"J.J. meet me in my office in a hour maybe lest I have something of yours." She said nodding to J.J. glad she found her old friend from school.

Chloe stood there practically glaring at the pair of employees. Was it not obvious that she was trying to conduct business here? "Right, so... Mr. Starr and Miss Kyle, since you obviously have more important things to discuss than this very important task, you are dismissed. Please leave and return to your desks," she said a bit coolly. Waiting for them to leave, she looked around at the rest of her employees, all of whom were behaving very well. "Now, who hasn't picked a Minister? she asked, examining the list. "I believe we still need Miss Sinclair, Miss Thomas, Miss Saenz, Mr. Stark, and Ms. Norcott. Then the rest of you who haven't been unceremoniously dismissed from the meeting may go back to talking and enjoying your breakfast before returning to work," she said, smiling at the rest of them.

At Malachi's personal thought about Di, she couldn't help but smile wide. It was weird to recieve those kinds of compliments. The last time that had happened was when she attended University, back in New York. "It's great to hear you say those things about me, and I thank you for your trust, sir..." She kindly said, agreeing that both should forget that small incident back in the office.
And then, Miss Everhart called up to the audience, requesting help, a nice work to be done in the matter of International Relations. Raising her hand, and now noticing Mexico was already taken, she took a deep breath and started to analize the list. She'd been in Bolivia, Peru, though perfectly knew the many things that happened in the Peruvian Wizarding Community. Slowly, she raised her hand, "Miss Everhart, I'll take the task for the Peruvian Minister of Magic...since I got to know many wizards from there..." True, this thing of being a witch, and loving to travel around the world, just made everything easier.

Chloe stood there watching JJ and Blair, waiting for them to leave as instructed so she could continue. At least JJ seemed to know what was going on and truly feel that he had done something wrong. She gave JJ a sad smile and a nod of the head as he left and Blair followed soon after. Then she turned back to the last employee who had offered to write a letter. "Thank you, Miss Saenz!" she said kindly, flicking her wand toward the list.
Standing there, she waited for more people to speak up and volunteer, but they seemed to be feeling a bit shy. Looking at her watch, she frowned slightly. "Okay, well, I don't want to take up anymore of your mingling and eating time," she said honestly. Since when do bosses say such things? Chloe didn't know, but oh well! "So, Miss Sinclair, Miss Thomas, Mr. Stark, and Ms. Norcott, please send me an owl with your choice. The rest of you are free to go back to your mingling, but please return to work in the next... let's say hour or so?" she said, smiling at them all. She wanted them to have fun, but there was also work to be done. "I will be in my office if any of you have any questions or if you would like to come and chat," she said, scanning the crowd of employees. And with that, she walked toward the door, then paused to turn back to look at them. "Honestly, go ahead and relax for a bit longer," she said with a bit of a laugh before opening the door and walking out of the conference room.

Again, Malachi listened to Miss Everhart, thinking that she was going to be a good boss to work for. Once the meeting had concluded he stood up and grab his coffee cup, going to the food table where he refilled his cup and took a few more pieces of toast. He still had a slightly pinched look to him, as though he had gone through a long period of ill health or lack of nourishment.
"Right then everyone, let's get cracking." He said cheerfully, leading the way out of the conference room.
