Emma entered the narrow halllway. She tried to peer into the dark, she shivered. It was creepy, the walls made her wants to gag. Peering through the darkness she could see a door at the end, smiling to herself she walked forward. She wanted to get out of there fast!
She noticed a shiny patch on the floor, pending down she examined it. this is just too creepy, im NOT trusting that!, She thought, standing up she slowly and quickly by passed the patch. Smiling again she walked forward again.
Her first though after going past that patch was that she would have a free trip to the door, maybe get to the challenge? This wasn't it was it? She didn't notice the string. How could she it was invisible? Emma went flying forward, landing on her now scraped hand's and knees. She cursed as she stood up to whip her self down. She noticed a small tear in her jeans. Her new jeans. Cursing again she peering into the darkness again. At least the door was nearer, right?
She was really frustrated as she walked forward yet again, what more could there be? She asked herself. Suddenly she felt a round object hit the back of her head, looking down she say a tennis ball bounce once...twice...before rolling away into the darkness. More balls began to pelt her at this stage. She whipped around in a few circle's trying to find the culprit. "Stop it!" She called into the drakness.
Covering her head with her arms she rushed forward, hoping the balls wouldnt follow her.
She suddenly felt really chill, more then she did before. She suddenly felt like being back in the middle of pelting tennis balls then here. She peered into the darkness yet again, she could see the door rigt in front of her, she made to walk towards it. Suddenly a women appeared, jumping back she stared at her. Shivering. "Miss?" She asked, "Your a Poltergiest" She added, shivering again. Hoping she had got it right.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Hadley Taylor Fourth Year | Canon Niffler || Neville's Yorkshire Pudding | | Teddy's Biographer || P + R = ♥ Malachi stepped through to the next challenge and listened as the man spoke. So this was Chad Stryker? He bit his lip, trying not to laugh at the memory of the letters he recieved from Pandora about the man infront of him. What an over-reaction! The man seemed perfectly affable to him.
So, ghost or poltergiest? Fair enough, that should be relatively straightforward... hopefully.
He stepped into the narrow, dingy hallway and pulled out his wand. He looked to the end of the hallway, seeing the doorway. The walls were rather slimy. Not a place to linger in.
As he made his way down the hallway, he saw a patch of the flooring that looked... shiny? Sticky? Either way, he wouldn't risk stepping in the patch. Glad that he had long legs, he stepped over the patch and suddenly found himself heading for the floor. Getting his hands out just in time to save himself, he managed not to swear but he really wasn't happy about this... oh no. He had more than a sneaking suspicion what was going on now. He picked himself up and ran his fingers over his wand. He gave a sigh of relief.
Malachi was able to see that he was closer to the unknown door than the one he had come through. He carried on and suddenly, something came whizzing past his head. He looked up, only to take a tennis ball between the eyes. He raised his sheild and the others bounced off it.
As the hall became chilly, he looked up and saw a young woman who seemed to find the situation rather amusing. "Who are you then? Other than a poltergeist that is?"

Jade listened closely to everything that was said before making her way to the door. Gripping her wand tightly, she stepped into the hallway and raised her wand to cast a Lumos. With the faint light before her, she continued down the hallway as it was giving her chills just being there.
Allowing her eyes to scan her surrounding, she kept clear of the walls and occasionally looked both above and below her as she moved forward. She just had a feeling she needed to be aware of all her surrounding, just in case. Inching closer to the end, she looked down just before she set her foot into a shiny substance. Holding her foot up before she fulling stepped in to it, she took a step back and moved around it. She wasn't about to just step in to something she wasn't sure about and it was always best to be save than sorry.
Making it around, she continued on her way once again. Keeping her eye out for anything out of line, she held her wand lightly before her. The feeling of the hallway was starting to creep her out a bit, but she could see the door. She was almost there, she told herself as she nearly tripped. Stumbling on her heels, she managed to regain her balance before falling completely. Now she wasn't at all what she would have suspected to happen in the hall.
Looking around again, she scanned the hallway and kept moving as a tennis ball flew past her face and then another over her head. Suddenly they were coming at her in all directions. Doing her best to dodge as many as she could she hurried toward the door. She was so close, she told herself as a few tennis balls hit her. Seriously, what was going on in here?!?
Just then, Jade felt the cold chill and looked before her. Blinking, she shook her head and watched as the woman appeared. She was the one responsible for this. "I take it you are one amused poltergeist, aren't you?" she said. This poltergeist was almost as troublesome as Peeves, wasn't she?

| ♥s her SS family l Wifey is MINE | Naughty Niffler l Whittysaur l #awkwardturtle<# Dan walked in to the next Challenge hoping that it wasn't as nonsensical as the last one he had to do. Hopefully it would be a nice one like Wes' had been. Something that he was amazing at.
He listened to the man as he talked, figuring that this wasn't that bad. All he had to do be able to distinguish between a ghost and a poltergeist. Not so bad at all seeing as he was so smart and good at figuring this kind of thing out.
He entered the gross looking hallway, figuring that this was the kind of place fitting for a ghost or poltergeist is was so disgusting and dingy. He shuddered a little.
He then noticed that there was a shiny patch on the floor ahead of him. Uh huh. Yeah, he was not stepping in that. He walked over it carefully and continued on his way, stumbling over something that he couldn't see.
THWACK!
Sudddenly he was hit on the back of the head with something, and he saw a tennis ball bouncing across the floor in front of him. Some idiot had thrown it at him. He was not pleased at all.
Scowling, he saw a woman appear before him, and let out another shiver as it got colder. "Oh, shut up," he told her with an irritated voice as she laughed at him and went to throw another tennis ball at him.
He ducked. "You're a very annoying poltergeist, you know that?" |

| C.R.E.A.M | Haitian Sensation | Shark Patronus | Your Huckleberry | T's ClayBaby Claudian entered the next challenge and listened to Mr. Stryker explain about it. His accent was thicker than Claudian remembered and he tried to suppress a chuckle upon hearing Mr. Stryker relay the story about the kitten coffee thief. H'mm...maybe Xana would be happy with a kneazle?
As Mr. Styrker went on to explain that not all creatures were cute 'n cuddly, Claudian got a certain sense of foreboding, which was strengthened as he entered the dark hallway towards the challenge. He quickly took note of the differences that Mr. Stryker had explained between ghosts and poltergeists before moving on. Slowly, he proceeded. He noticed his steps getting slower as he ruined his shoes in some kind of sticky substance. Eww? What was that? And would it come out with a well-casted tergeo? He continued on towards the door, as he steppe...f e l l into the space in front of him. From his new found position on the ground he looked down at his feet to see what could've caused his fall. A trip line!
That was when it hit him, quite literally with a hallow PIP!
A brightly coloured ball smacked the back of Claudian's head and it ricocheted off towards the walls. The wizard had turned his head in time to see a barrage of tennis balls flying right at him. In a moment of panic, Claudian scrambled to his feet and that was when he saw her. The mischievous little poltergeist lady that was responsible for the hijinx. "Poltergeist." He whispered under his breath remembering the time Peeves has flushed his notebook down the boys lu. |

| Double Agent Stamps! Edward makes he way to the next floor. He’s amazed to see the different magical creatures roaming around. Edward tries to avoid stepping on anyone’s tails while he finds himself a seat and listen to Mr. Stryker’s speech. Ghosts and poltergeist are not the usual creatures I run into in my line of work. I haven’t seen any of them since leaving Hogwarts. The Auror Training School doesn’t allow them although a few students killed in the line of duty did try to return. The administration had a time convincing Angelica Laney to leave. I think she ended up teaching at Hogwarts. Smart move on her part. I haven’t thought about her in years. I should drop her a line and see how she’s doing.
Edward writes down the information appears on the chalkboard. Good thing he brought such a thick notebook. When the lecture is over, Edward makes his way to the next room. It’s not what he expected. First impressions say the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures doesn’t believe in routine house cleaning. He continues walking trying to avoid the walls as much as possible. Edward stops when he reaches the spot of sticky stuff on the floor. He takes out his wand and performs a silent Evanesco Charm. The spot does not disappear. Must be poltergeist magic. Wizard magic doesn’t always counteract it. Edward has no choice but to walk around the spot. He doesn’t want to get his suede shoes stuck in that goo. The spot is so large that Edward has to brush up against the walls to get around it. The slimy stuff on the walls sticks to his sports jacket like glue. He also gets the stuff on his hands. What a mess! When Edward is finally back on dry ground, he wipes his hands on his jeans. He takes out his wand and performs the lumos charm. Edward wants a clear view to the door. He doubts that will be the last trap. Sure enough a few feet ahead, Edward’s bombarded with water balloons- lots of them. At least the water cleans the slim off his clothes. His clothes are clean but wet really wet now. The employees must be a laugh a minute around here. Better double check the locking charms on the doors on the second floor. Don’t want this joke mentality seeping up there. The door is almost in sight when Edward finds himself being attacked by muggle tennis balls. Water balloons, tennis balls, I didn’t think Peeves ever left Hogwarts. Please don’t tell me there is more than one Peeves. Edward aims his wand at the balls and performs the Petrificus Totalus charm. The balls freeze in place. Just when Edward thinks things can’t get any worse, a chill fills this end of the hall. It feels like someone opened an outside door and let a cold February wind in the room. Impossible when you consider where this department is located. Edward’s teeth chatter. A ghost must have flown through him. Edward looks around for him or her. What he sees is a poltergeist dress in a gray wig with a bun at the back, wearing horn rimmed glasses, and a shawl wrapped around his body. It’s held in place with a cameo brooch. The poltergeist reminds Edward of an elderly grandmother he had to arrest. Who’d figure an old lady like that would be a dark wizard. Edward smiles. “As I live and breath… A Poltergeist! Funny running into you.” |
