Doesn't go fast, and will not go above 3 feet. Wouldn't want the kids to hurt themselves. One of them is 11 galleons."
He found a paper bag, and put the players in it. "Coming to a total of 53 galleons." Frida grabbed nearly all of her gold coins and set them down in front of her, stacking them in tens. 'Forty...fifty...one, two, three.' "That should be everything there." Frida said and eyed the players she was about to purchase and pushed the gold coins towards the vendor. "And the broom sounds like a good idea. Though you may be selling me another one by next year if Ian likes flying as much as he says he does now."

"You're also allergic to chocolate, Holland." He gave her a quite stern look, his other hand raising to undo her fingers from around it so he could take it. "I understand that you like it but you won't like how you feel afterwards. We'll get you some imitation chocolate ice cream later, but... this is not imitation stuff and you can't have it."
Because then he'd feel bad and he'd have to run the booth by himself. And that would just make everything horrible and there would be NO HOLLAND TIME and it would just all-around be no fun. NO FUN HOLLAND KENNING.

"There you go," he said, handing over the bag of 14 players and the broom. "I wish my cousin would take an interest in flying. He just watches the games. Bit useless really. "You owe me four sickles." She pouted, dropping her hand from the ice cream and continuing to set up the displays. Self inking quills in the FRONT, those would undoubtedly be the most popular, easiest to use for autographs.
Working with your boyfriend was not as easy as it sounded. Even though he was TOTALLY right and she was just pouting.
"We need a SIGN." She added, already over it. "How else will people know what we are selling?" Maybe they would just come to talk to her, because she was so friendly! |

Taking a lick off the ice cream, Hiroki dug in his pocket and pulled out a galleon, holding it out for her to take. Silly girl didn't think he wouldn't pay for her to get different ice cream? Guh, this Holland Kenning. His girlfriend was truly strange.
"Go get yourself strawberry or something." He craned his neck to look at Avery's sign. "Beater Berry Crunch, or the Seeker Snaps stuff. If you come back with chocolate again I'll just take it."
A sign. He had one in one of the boxes, didn't he? Somewhere. SIGN?! He peered into the ink box. He'd... shrank it so it wouldn't be irksome to carry, where had he put it? |

She didn't even like chocolate that much, she just wanted it because it was off limits.
"Yes sir." she replied, failing to keep the little smirk off of her face, or the giggle behind her lips. Hehehe. Hiroki didn't like it when she called him sir. "Don't call me Sir. Ma'am."
Because ma'am was designed to make people feel old, just like sir was. He smirked, and finally his hand emerged from the box with the sign. It was small enough to sit in the palm of his hand right now, but... hmmm. A little tap of his wand and it expanded to its proper size.
"I didn't write everything on it, I figured people would realise we had some regular stock with us as well as the special stuff." Propping it up on the counter, he shot her a grin. "Looks okay, right? Even without... glitter."
Holland wasn't going to insist on glitter, was she? Really? This was Quidditch. Where would she get glitter right now, anyway? At least that would solve the problem in itself. There were no glitter salespersons readily available. |

| Shoe!Girl │ Rebel Ravie │ Confundus Queen │ RP Addict Her simple white shift dress and silver flats not doing much to disguise the fact she wasn't exactly supporting either team playing for the Cup, Brenna made her way down the pathway through the other vendor booths toward the booth designated for Madame Malkin's, carefully cradling a box. It wasn't exactly that she disliked the sport, she just didn't follow it much beyond the occasional attempt to follow how Ireland was doing. And at least she knew it was Australia vs. England for the Cup. She'd have to, for her booth to be of any use. And when she finally arrived at her booth, after smiling at those other Diagon Alley shopkeepers who were already there, she placed the box down on a table, her dark hair swinging over one shoulder.
Taking tiny racks out of the box, as well as various items of merchandise, she flicked her wand to let everything regain its normal size. There was no way she would have been able to get everything to the Cup location without a good Reducing charm. Setting everything up so it was organized to her preference; robes, shirts, jackets and the like on the racks and hats and scarves laid out on tables, she dug around in the box again for a second before pulling a brightly colored card out of it, propping it up on the table at the front of her booth. Fred placed all the boxes that he had been levitating behind the counter and began to unload them quickly and efficiently. He could be a hard worker when he wanted to be which wasn't very often. Once everything was in place, he placed his hands on his hips and surveyed his handiwork. Not bad at all.
In true show off style that was customary for one such as he, Fred climbed up onto the counter. "Hear ye, hear ye. Come get your merchandise here. We have Pygmy Puffs in your favorite team colors. Fireworks that spell out your team's name. Or perhaps you would perfer our funny team mascots that will heckle the opposing team" he yelled out for all those to hear. And if he kept that up for too long he was going to have to pay Mozzie a visit for a butterbeer.
Iridesca wandered through the vendors while she waited for her niece to arrive from Hogwarts. She figured this would be the best way to keep her mind busy and possibly to meet some new friends. She had set her mind on getting Satine a surprise before she arrived later on in the day.
As she wandered through the crowds, she saw something that instantly caught her eye....she headed straight for a nearby booth yelling about her niece's favorite new animal. Satine had been begging for one for months. "Scuse me sir, did you say you have pygmy puffs in the team's colors?" she said with a smile pushing her blue bangs behind her left ear. "How much? And what exactly is the care for them?"

Brett Carlen Flourish and Blotts Shopkeeper | Potter Nurse || Hockey obsession <3 | Go Wings! || Geaux Tigers!
This was definitely going to be an interesting experience considering that he was pretty much going to attempt to handle this on his own. Brett bent down below the bookstall that had been set up along the many other tables in vendor row. He had copies of Quidditch related books including ones about the history of the QWC and autobiographies of some of the more famous players such as Hot Scot: Quidditch, My Life by Colin MacKenzie; and Golden Dreams: A Life Unexpected by Maximus Vindictus.
Trading cards were also spread out on a large table; each showing a photo of the player while listing statistics on the back such as the year they entered the league, position, and other points of interest.
On another table were book covers depicting players from each country that were participating in the QWC. On the side of these covers were bookmarks; some generic with 441st Quidditch World Cup flashing with the primary colors of each team; and some specific to players on the team. These bookmarks are available to be purchased separately or are being given free with purchase of a gift set of books.
Straightening up, Brett unrolled a large sign with the name of the shop written across it in large, bold letters. Quote:

Her pockets lined with permission forms and camera in tow, Arjuna walked along vendor row looking for the perfect shots. Usually, these shots came up as accidents. With this knowledge, she snapped a few random pictures of shoppers and then of the vendors themselves as she walked past. She would get permission-written and irrefutable evidence-from the people in them for the ones she would submit to The Boss. Better be safe than sorry. That was something she'd learned living in India for a short spell. Of course, they couldn't be sued exactly could they? No. But just in case someone tried. She had the forms. Click, click, click. She frowned at the couple of stall holders who had decided to get up on the counters. She'd seen it before, and the sale slogans shouted as loudly as humanly possible were the norm in street markets back in Sri Lanka...but she always thought it was undignified. On the other hand it made interesting pictures. Click, click. There were a couple of stall holders poking each other. Arjuna snapped first-Click- and stared in revulsion later.
While she was here, she might as well get some stuff for herself. She knew the game would be Australia vs England, so that was obvious. She didn't follow Quidditch that much, being muggleborn herself and living in that world for over a year, so she didn't have any particular allegiance. Australia was irrelevant to her so she opted for England-in majority at least.
Now, which stall? Hmm. Jackets? That sounded interesting. At least it was out of the box. Creative. Arjuna liked it. "Urm...Hello to you," she said slowly to the woman behind the counter. "I would like to buy some merchandise. Uh...a jacket. Yes... For Engand." Without warning, she took a picture. Click. |

"Hmm, well, unless you can think of anything else we need, it seems both of us are stuck with nothing to do," she mused aloud, before she noticed the little puppy in Melanie's arms. It seemed surprisingly slow at this end of the path, but there wasn't too much she could do about that, beyond trying to roam and drum up business. Quote:

"Hi, and welcome to Madame Malkin's little home-away-from home. A jacket for England? Certainly," she said in a friendly voice, before glancing over at Melanie again. "Do you want me to get it or do you want to?," she asked in a low voice before turning back to the customer."That'll be 4 galleons, unless you'd like to look at some of our other merchandise. It's all very festive, really." It seemed there were practically as many colors in their little booth as generally was in most of the shop in DA, discounting the special orders of course.

Eyes wide, Hadley grabbed the sample cup. Her eyes went even wider with the first spoonful. 'This is so good!' And of course she was eating it too fast, 'Brain freeze.' She was going to love this job!

Finaly hadley chose the Chaser's Chocoalte Pie, which happened to be her favorite....dude. Chocolate. Duh.
Giggling slightly, she replied, "Hold the bridge of your nose that makes it go away faster. Slow down, its not like you wont get more." Avery winked and then turned to look out into the crowed.

Hadley held the bridge of her nose. It actually worked! No more brain freeze. You do learn things working at an ice cream parlor. She would have to remember that when all the costumers come.
If anyone comes. It was still early. And as soon as the kids and quidditch players. Heehee, the famous quidditch players. Hadley was looking forward to seeing them. Yep, she even brought her camera. Perhaps she could take a picture of the players eating their ice cream! 'Has any of the players shown up yet?' Hopefully she didn't miss a chance for a photo-op.

"How much? And what exactly is the care for them?" Leaning his elbows onto the counter, Fred waggled his eyebrows at the young woman in front of him. "I surely did at that Miss." He pulled the cage over so that the woman could choose the one she wanted. "They're going for a bargain price of seven galleons and all they require is food and water. I also sell the special food pellets they eat. One jar will cost you a galleon." Fred poked his finger into the cage and one of the pygmy puffs began to nuzzle his finger. "Oh and don't get them wet, they don't like that."

Noticing the woman's gesture, namely flicking her hair over her shoulder, Arjuna very nearly raised her eyebrows. Restraining them mid-way, however, the expression on her face is one of a person temporarily blinded by a bright light. Not that she was, she just lost control for a moment. Unfortunately, it seemed said woman was vain. And Arjuna hated vain women. Vain men more so. Who cared if your hair was shiny and bouncy?! If you're an idiot, it's all for nothing! Though, salespeople were not idiots.
Did she want any more merchandise? No, not really. "No, thank you," she said in reply to the latter suggestion, "I...I am not much of a...fanatic." Hmm. Should she? Some how Arjuna doubted that the jacket was quite worth the 4 galleons. But, she realized, she had pictures to take, and places to go. With that in mind, she placed the money on the table with a small smile. "Four galleons," she said, almost wistfully.
She was only a photographer after all. And for the Daily Prophet. Not much money in it. |

"Oh and don't get them wet, they don't like that." Iridesca smiled at the man as his eyebrows moved awkwardly and then looked into the cage. Following the lead of the man, she slowly put her finger into the cage and let a pygmy puff nuzzle her finger as well. She listened to his explanantion about the proper care and his warning about getting them wet. She giggled a little bit about that thought...trying not to look like she was laughing at the man, she explained..."Have you ever seen the muggle movie, Gremlins? There's a little fuzzy animal on there called Gizmo and if you feed him after midnight he makes these horrible creatures called Gremlins and if you get them wet they multiply" she said as she pulled out her wallet from her sequined purse....pausing as she pulled the money out... "Please tell me that this pygmy puff isn't going to multiply or create ugly creatures......." Iridesca hoped he got why she was laughing... "Okay, well let me have two....one from each team color and two jars of food...that way I get one and my niece gets one.....do we need a cage for them or are they free roamers....o and what about potty trained...do I need like kitty litter or what?" she hoped she wasn't asking too many questions.

| One customer down, many more to go. And Marco really needed to create a sign. Ah well he would do that later. He needed to make note of what he was selling. Players...padding...replica jerseys...anything else???

Charlie walked onto vendor row with Briony, their hands still intwined. He looked at her and smiled. "So would you like to browse?"

She was only a photographer after all. And for the Daily Prophet. Not much money in it. Catching the odd expression on the customer's face as she tried to get her hair out of her eyes, Brenna lowered her hand slowly. Something told her this woman was getting entirely the wrong idea about her simple gesture. But seeing as her question about if the woman had wanted anything else was answered soon after, she let her worry fade to the back of her mind. Smiling as she reached over to take one of the jackets in England's colors off the rack, since it seemed Melanie was occupied elsewhere. Probably with her cute puppy, but she didn't blame her there, she exchanged it for the four galleons. "Alright then. One jacket supporting England," she said, keeping her voice friendly. Even if she couldn't change whatever opinion this woman had of her, she wasn't about to give up. "If you want me to be entirely honest, I'm not that much of a fanatic either. But I have to be here for those who are, right?," she said then with another smile, as if she was letting the customer in on whatever it was she was doing. Especially since she was holding a camera, and odds were, that meant she worked for the Prophet. She wasn't about to get on the bad side of anyone there.
