Ben smiled and nodded as he checked the ID. He handed it back to the woman and looked at the people who were behind her. He turned back to Briony and said, "I see." He smiled and approached the man. "Name, and where you are from, please? Also, can I see some ID?" While he waited for the ID he looked at the girl. "Hi there!" he said smiling.

Benjamin approached the person who arrived. "Hi, Name and where you're from, please? Also, can I see some ID?"

Stacey-Ann smiled at the man and pulled out her id card and gave it to him and said "I am Stacey-Ann Newton, from the Department of Mysteries and i live in London"

Briony put her ID back inside her pocket she turned to Jared expectedly.

Jared took his ID out of his pocket. He handed it to the man. "I'm Jared Whitehall. I work in as an intern at the moment in the Ministry and I'm from France," he told him.

Thalia smiled at him. "Hello," she said. Almost her first year. Maybe she would meet kids who were soon going to Hogwarts here.

Ben gave back Stacy-Ann her ID and smiled. "Enjoy the match!" he said happily.

Benjamin observed the ID confirming the person he was talking to was he. He handed it back to Jared and smiled at the group. "Thanks. Enjoy the match!"

Stacey-Ann took back her id card and said "Thanks very much" Stacey-Ann took hold of the portkey and transported away

Warren's attention was quickly brought back toward the people arriving when he saw...dear lord.... "Mr. Amsten! Get over here." What did he think he was doing? They were MLES not security they were strictly there to play wall and jump into action in case something goes wrong.

Turning toward Brian he sighed, "I'm sorry Brian, he's new." And I'm doing such a bang up job keeping him from doing anything stupid it seemed.

Frowning as Ben approached he pointed next to him. "Do not move. We do not check id's that is Security's job. If you're bored go wander around and make sure nobody's doing anything stupid. Or go check the floo network." Geez kids. Maybe he wasn't ready to be a dad after all.

"What? I'm only making sure nothing's going wrong. People are arriving and only one other person is checking people in. I'm just helping. You got to change your perspective about things." Ben smirked and patted Warren on the arm. He began to walk towards the Special arrivals and Floo network, he turned and walked backwards looking at Warren, "I'm going to my post you gave me where there is no one." He gave Warren a two finger salute and turned again and walked back to his post.

Madison apparated into the area she knew to be the area where those who were opposed to floo would appear. As soon as she appeared by herself, she waited for a moment to allow her body to adjust.

"Ahhh. Warren," Madison greeted her friend as she walked over to him. Her bright smile turned as there seemed to be slight tension in the air, or to her it did. "Everythig okay? Anything I can help with?"

GAH! Why in the hell had Nathan opted to come by Portkey? ...Because he wasn't 100% sure where this QWC was taking place and it was likely he would end up miles away from the site if he apparated. And then what? To be lost in the wild forever and ever? Hum.. no thanks. He's rather suffer the bumpy ride and take a portkey.

He apparated into the designated area with a crack feeling a little disoriented - he hated apparating - and it took him a few moments to register that he was actually where he was supposed to be. Good one.

He looked around at the sea of people and tried to spot his friend who had bought him tickets for this damn thing so he had no choice but to attend. Meh.. he was looking forward to singing around a campfire in the evening and toasting marshmallows more than he was the Quidditch. En-ger-land... pfft! What was Warren thinking? The Scotsman, unable to show his discontent at having to attend this thing, wandered off in search of his ogre of a friend... as well as the bowler hat portkey he had chosen to take him to the campground.

Brian saw Chris appeared into the scene. He was quick as usual. Good thing, right? He waved at him and waiting for him if he had any doubts in mine to clear. Still he wanted his security division head. Brian knew he was new and needed sometime to cope up with stuffs like QWC such a big event.


Brian's attention turned to the most familiar voice. "Ah, Numble. There you're." he smiled, "Good day, right?" he paused to listen him. "Ofcourse yes, go and take charge and dont forget tobe polite and nice to every foreign visitor." he instructed him, "I'll see you there soon"

"Mmm..good. Can I see your ID, please?" he asked softly, not wanting to scare the woman by any chance.

Seeing someone from Law department seemed taking a security job quickly, Brian grinned. "It's alright, Warren. I think he's new. We can guide him.." he said as waved his left hand in air. Everybody got excited and it was so obvious. He couldnt stop grinning at the thought.

Brian could feel her mood and thoughts by the way she was clinging to him. "Relax, love. Give me confidence" he leaned in and kissed on her forehead fondly.

God..make everything alright was all he could think at that time.

Warren frowned as Ben spoke and shook his head, "No...it is not your job so do not do it. Simple." As he felt him pat his arm he clenched his jaw and watched as he walked away. "You go do that." Bloody kid. He didn't have a clue what was going on. Maybe...he should rig something up to relieve him of his foolish notions of being invincible. Maybe...the apparation of someone else drew his attention and he smiled.

"Madison," he said with a smile and gave her a hug as she came over to him. "Yeah...just a bout of foolishness on my self-proclaimed apprentice's part. How are you?" He couldn't stop the grin that was forming and he said excitedly, "I have news..." Just then someone else apparated and he laughed. Nathan.

"Mate over here!" He called out with a smile as he waved. He turned back toward Madison as he waited for Nathan to come over, "I'll tell you both together. It's exciting really. Are you camping out? Nathan's sharing my tent. Never been one for camping really." The last one having gone so disastrously wrong between Alexa and him. The whole 'bonding' thing in the department. So much for that. But this was going to be different. Yes sir. Just so long as his employee doesn't decide to stick to him so much he ends up sharing a tent with them as well. He'd put his foot down on that one. Bloody kid.

"Guide him...right..." shaking his head he laughed and decided to introduce everyone. "Brian this is Madison and that over there is my best friend Nathan. Don't know if you remember everyone or not."

"Hello Sir" said Chris seeing his department head "Ive done one person so far as you can see. I'd like to see the attendence figure become a little larger. I havent had much to do since the one ministry member wanted clearence. Lets just hope this world cup goes off without any problems"

"..Engaged?" Becca looked at Warren in excitement and disbelief "Oh my gosh!! Congratulations! I hope it all works out for you" she grinned, genuinely happy for Warren. "Thanks, we're so impatient" she grinned, looking down at her stomach again.

As someone who she didn't know adressed her, Becca smiled "Hello Mr. Amsten, I'm Becca Lee" she introduced herself and half detached herself from Brian's arm to shake the man's hand. Noticing the way he treated Warren, she threw Warren a curious look and then smiled as Ben looked back to her "Thanks" she replied happily.

Eyeing Stacey-Ann as she appeared, Becca smiled and then shook her head, looking away. She wasn't going to say anything to the woman in her department. Yet.

"Mmm" she breathed out and then nodded "Okay, sorry.. you know it's starting to get busy and yeah.." she trailed off as he kissed her forehead. Squeezing his hand confidently and happily, she relaxed and then looked around "Are you sure you want to leave Numble and Mr. Amsten alone by the VIP arrivals?" she asked, looking at Brian. Was it really a good idea? Warren didn't seem to like Ben and that was enough for Becca to be wary of the guy, unlelss Brian told her to forget about it.

Madison greeted Warren in a hug and then pulled back. "News? I do hope it is good news." Though it had to be by the smile on his face, something she hadn't seen much of. As Warren invited someone else over to them, the same someone that was at the ice cream shop, she grinned and nodded her head towards the gentleman.

"Hello," she spoke politely, hoping that she would be introduced by Warren. She loved meeting new people. And speaking of new people, the sight was beginning to fill up with other people, some she knew, others she didn't. One other person she recognized was Mr. Brian Lee as now her nerves were not so noticeable. Poor man for having to deal with that side of herself.

Brian nodded his head with a smile. "Well..what to do. We're in such a position.." he laughed and looking at the two people he'd introduced to him. "Hello Ms. Maddison. Congratulations for the new posting!" he greeted and wished her both friendly and officially. "We've met once before.." he told to Warren, remembered the pretty nervous Madison in his office a while back. Now she looked confident and he was glad about it.

Aw..Nathan! "Mate? How have you been?" Brian reached him and gave a warm hug. He had no idea why they had not seen each other frequently. "How is Egypt and kids?" he asked interestedly as
tucking his left hand into his trouser pocket.

"Hello, Chris." Brian nodded his head, acknowledged his greeting. "Mhmm. I know. People will gather up and keep you in your heels, dont worry" he grinned, glad that his staffs were involving fulfledged in this mega event.

"Good" Brian listened him, "Well..just greet and check them in. You cant do two jobs at a time. " he paused, thoughtful about to give some assistance to Numble. "I'll send someone to help you" he gave
him a confident word.

Brian put his hand over hers as she was practically clinging to his arm. "It's okay Becs. I know, everything will be alright, something tells me. " he squeezed her hand gently and smiled at her, "I cant wait to teach quidditch to our lil one.." his eyes glinted in excitement now. When Becca doubted about two employees from different department, Brian shook his head, "It's okay. I guess the person might have learnt from his misake by now" He had given training to Numble, how to handle if the situation go out of hand.

Watching the exchange of words between Brian and the other people silently, Becca felt his hand move over hers. Looking down at his hand, she smiled "I know.. But still, I can't help it" she admitted, smiling back at him. When he spoke about teaching quidditch to their child, she grinned "We've gotta teach the baby to walk and talk first" she nudged him gently, trying to make him focus on the near future. When he mentioned Numble and Ben, she nodded "Okay" she smiled, believing in his judgement without question.

Nathan heard the unmistakable booming voice of the ex Auror he was looking for and he turned his head to see the man head and shoulders above everyone else. He wasn't hard to spot really but Nathan wasn't the most observant of people. Taken aback to see a genuinely warm smile on Warren's face, Nathan couldn't help but mirror it. He hadn't seen him smile properly since Alexa left. He sauntered over to the small group gathered and smiled and nodded in return to the woman Warren was with. Was this what he was so happy about? He'd finally moved on? Oh Merlin, poor Alexa. “Hello.” He replied wondering if he should introduce himself or wait for Warren to. But the introduction didn't come so Nathan stuck out his hand in welcoming and added, “I'm Nathan Greenwood. I used to work in Warren's department at the Ministry. It's lovely to meet you, Miss....? Miss 'fillintheblank.'


“Ah yes. I know Brian very well.” He grinned and returned the man's manly hug, slapping him jovially on the back. Brian was always such a friendly, warm fella and Nathan could relate to him easily. He automatically dug in his pocket and retrieved his Daily Prophet ID and handed it to Brian noting that was what everyone else was doing. “I haven't seen you since the wedding. How are you, mate?” ...Then the inevitable question came and Nathan's body language visibly fell and the smile faltered. He scratched at the back of his head having an internal debate, once again, whether it would be better (or easier) to lie than to tell the truth. He swallowed deciding to go with the former here as there were so many people here and he was sure they didn't all want to hear about the woes of Nathan Greenwood. “Urm... they're fine. Yeah.. fine.” He lied with a fake smile and nodded... then began to chew at his bottom lip. Was this ever going to get easier?


His eyes then fell on the woman beside Brian. “Becky, love. How lovely to see you.” The genuine smile returning to his face. “I see you two have got some good news..” He said looking between Becky and Brain. Ah – they were such a lovely couple. They always had reminded Nate of he and Egypt when they had been so happy and their worlds revolved around only each other while everything else paled to insignificance.

Pulling her more closer to his side, Brian smiled. "I know it is not easy but we can try.." he squeezed her hand softly. He should have kept his thoughts with him in first hand. Kept smiling all through the time, his smile turned to a mild laugh this time. "Hey, those things are pretty normal things, they will do by default.." he kissed on her forehead again, looking into her beautiful hazel eyes, "But Quidditch is not like that.." he told her dreamily.


Brian grinned, "Why not?! Even a funny competition too running between us" he laughed when Nathan slapped him jovially. Nathan was always easy to move and laugh. "Oh..It's okay mate. You're all cleared by security head himself" he said jovially and handed over his ID proof back to him. "Yeah, I've been busy with family and work." he looked down at Becca beamingly. "And life is getting crazy busy especially from we're expecting our junior" his gaze automatically settled down on her bump fondly.

But when he looked up at him, Brian's forehead creases at the uncomfortable silence of Nathan. Oh..something is wrong?! Why he had been taking lotta time to reply for such a simple question!? And above all there was no life in his tone when he said they were fine and his smile was fake, obviously. Brian's heart skipped a beat. He wanted to ask more but didnt want to make him feel more uncomfortable since they were surrounded by quite amount of people. "Okay, we miss them.." he said quietly.

Warren held his finger up to his lips with a wink as he waited for his best friend to come over. "I'll tell you both at the same time." He was practically giddy and that was NOT Warren. Strange.

Warren gave a shrug at Brian's comment. "Well now you've met again." Seeing Nathan come up he grinned and then promptly winced as Brian mispoke without intending to. He didn't know. Pretending to find something interesting to stare at he looked around at the people coming in. This was going to be a big event. He hoped his kid could back his words...he really really hoped.


Warren looked at Nathan as he came up and gave him a pat on the back. "There you are mate." Smiling he watched as Nathan started to introduce himself to Madison and he shook his head, "Oh sorry bout that. Nathan this is Madison Masterson. Madison this is Nathan. Blame Madison for me actually having to work this gig instead of having fun." He joked and gave Madison a grin.

"And now that you're both here...I have news." Taking a pause for pure drama he looked at them both and then at Brian and Becca who knew already and his smile grew. "Alexa and I are engaged." Yes! They are...and he could literally run circles around this clearing now he was so happy. His grin widened as he looked at his two friends.

As Brian's question sunk in with Nathan his smile faltered slightly and he looked at his best friend. Yes he needed to get out and about and so help him he was going to help him. But if he had learned anything the only one that could help Nathan was himself.... Turning toward Madison he looked thoughtful for a moment, "Hey Madison...where's Jadyn?"

Tasha Pulled out her ID and gave it to Brian, thank goodness he was polite. For she didn't want to feel hasselled in any way so she gave him a nice smile. "I do hope we don't have any trouble with the Muggles this time, I've been working so hard to ensure that it doesn't happen!" she told him while he was looking over her ID.
