"And I don't want to go see him yet." she looked down, pink rising in her cheeks, but not from embarrassment this time. From upset. "You.. left me.. in that tent.." she looked up into his eyes "And you didn't even say goodbye.." she sighed before looking away and smiling at Rutherford, even if it was a sad smile. |
Tori, who was patrolling and moving from check point to check point met upon some more ministry officials."Hello."she greeted them, detached and professional. Her sharp eyes combed over everyone as well as the entire area."I see security is tight."She let her eyes roam again and she soon recognized a department head. |

Ruther backed down slowly when he sensed a softy moment from the couple. He doesn't want to interfere. Now I want to be back with, DH or whoever from his department. By the way, where is their department stationed at? |

"I heard it, and if I hadn't been stunned into silence by everything moving so fast," and you disappearing "I might have replied." she lookied into his eyes before sighing and clinging tightly to him "It's okay. Forget about it. It's over with." she smiled, looking back into his eyes "Yeah, I was thinking of you too" she stated the obvious. "Fine.. Just like the baby should be doing." she told him before shaking her head "I need to sit down" she said quietly, clinging tightly to him as the tiredness hit her. When she'd been doing his job, she had something to focus on, but now, nothing, so all she could do was acknowledge the tiredness. "Brian, this is Ruther. He's an ex-employee of mine." Becca smiled, introducing them. |

My friend Dh, seems to be very busy, and I received a note from my boss that he is supposed to meet here and by that meaning we will be together stationed in the entrance." he said with a chuckle. His boss really is not that friendly of a guy, being grumpy and all, but Ruther found him amusing to be with. |

With a loud crack a tall blonde figure appeared in the morning mist. Adjusting it's robes, the figure walked closer towards the other people. Samson Vane grinned brightly. He had been looking forward to this for months. All the excitement built up inside him, rose from his toes to his chest and made him shiver. He dropped the stringless guitar ,which he had been using as a portkey, to the ground, and looked around at all the people, ready to show his Ministry of Magic ID. |
OMG I am so late.... Becky and Matt. :) Olivia apparated to the security check point just after Becca did, once more stumbling as she stopped. As Becca went off back to her place Olivia stood by the side, not wanting to do anything that would set her off again. She certainly wasn't used to being around someone quite so grumpy, but she understood why she was that way.Sighing she folded her arms and watched Chris go about his job of checking ID's, every so often glancing down at Becca to try and gauge whether she could start a conversation.Things didn't look promising.... After what seemed like hours, Brian returned from wherever he'd been, friends and a new baby in tow.Oh so he'd taken them to the hospital? Well that is an emergency, yes.As Becca greeted him, Olivia put her hand up and gave a little wave. "Welcome back, Mr Lee..." she smiled, still standing in the same place she'd been for the past however many hours. In fact she doubted she'd be able to unlock her knees from their present position. |
Merlin, did Silas hate portkeys. Clutching the umbrella in his hand, he touched down with a jolt and a stumble. Taking a deep breath, he sighed, wrinkling his nose. That was the smell of both quidditch and.. camping. Neither of which enthused him. Walking up to the security check, Silas smoothed his robes. "Silas Druery, Spirit Division." He handed over his identification before scanning the crowds while he waited. |

Once they reached the other side Lili felt a little better about pulling away from Iain. She was glad though that when they were apparating she had his support. Now though, she could not be happier. With little baby Skye Brian snuggled up in her arms, with a blanket around him up against her chest so his face was shielded she looked around the open field. She had felt really bad about leaving Becca here, and so that was who she searched out now. It was important to her that she took Skye to Becca so that Becca could meet him before anyone else did. Finally spotting her, or who she thought was her, she looked up at Iain, and said, "I'm going to see Becca," a smile on her face as she said that. Perhaps now was as good of a time as any to tell Brian Skye's middle name. "Becca," she called as she got closer to her fellow Department Head. |

"It's okay, love. I can apologize to her for you for million times.." he rubbed on her back softly and hummed. Now she was in his safe arms, everything was falling back in its place. Perfect. Quote:

Iain smiled at his wife, and kissed her forehead again as she told him that she was going to go and find Becca. With a nod, he followed her towards his best friend who was already embracing her husband. He followed a few steps behind Lili, who called out to their best friend. "Bex!" he added after Liliana called out, smiling at her. His eyes were so filled with joy, part of him thought that his heart would burst. |

"Lili.." she smiled "Hi," she looked at the baby who was snuggled up in Lili's arms and was against her chest with a fond smile. She was sure that her best friend's baby was worth it all. Leaning back in her chair with a smile, Becca took Brian's hand and squeezed it gently. |
Lili came to a stop right in front of Brian and Becca. She smiled at her. "Becca, I would like you to to meet Skye Brian Hunter," she said, speaking to Becca, but looking at Brian as she told Becca her and Iain's baby's name. "Would you like to hold him?" she asked Becca, a little reluctant to let him go, but it was Becca, so she was fine with letting him for a moment. |
Quote:
Deciding to take up the offer, she smiled and nodded "Yeah, please" she smiled, speaking softly and then looking at Iain whose eyes were sparkling with joy. "Hey Iain," she smiled "Congratulations you two" Becca smiled, looking back to Baby Skye. |

As soon as he was safely in her arms, she tucked the blanket back around him, and then stepped back slightly, leaning up against Iain. Looking up at Lili and Iain after a few minutes, Becca smiled. "Thank you. About his middle name, I mean, it means a lot to us" she looked at Brian fondly. She was too tired to do anything other. Being very stubborn and standing around for nine hours wasn't exactly good for her. Upon hearing Iain mention going back to their tent, Becca smiled "I put some protective charms on it for you" she told them "Just a simple 'Finite Incantate' should get rid of them" she smiled before looking down at Baby Skye. "Hey, mummy and daddy want you back" she smiled fondly, looking at his peaceful face before eyeing Iain as he spoke about sleep. "Don't mention it." she frowned "Here you go, he's all yours" Becca offered him back to either parent with a smile. |
"Yes, of course," she said to Iain. "Lets head back. Plus, Becca you look utterly worn out," she said to both Becca and Iain. As Becca held Skye out she let Iain take her, he hadn't had a chance to hold him since the hospital, and she could tell by the look in his eyes that he was just dying to. He was going to make such a good father, Lili thought. As soon as Iain had Skye in his arms she let her arm fall from around his waist and bent down to kiss her baby softly on his forehead. "By Becca and Brian," she said, as herself and Iain, holding Skye, left the field and began walking towards their tent. |

Jacob spun through the air, clinging involuntarily to the toaster as it dragged him to the Quidditch World Cup. Floo was his preferred method of transportation - he Flooed to Greece every weekend, after all - followed by walking. Apparition he had never quite mastered, and after years of avoiding it's use Jacob worried he would splinch himself. So Portkey it was. Why he had chosen a toaster, he had no idea; plenty of more attractive ones were available near his flat, too. Jacob was not a toast person, and it was one of the more ridiculous looking Portkeys. He landed quite gracefully given that he had just spent the last minute spinning through space. Setting the silly Portkey aside, Jacob pulled out his ID (Jacob Spyro Webster, International Magical Cooperation, Division Head British Seats) and approached one of the Ministry Security personnel. |

"Is the Floo entrance over there?" he asked, nodding his head in the direction he thought it was. Out of the corner of his eye he saw fans lugging packs and tents to the campground. His own small tent, borrowed from Jonathan, was stuffed in his work bag along with the World Cup folder. He thought he would stop by Liliana and Ian's tent to see the new baby. And he needed to stop by the vendors to buy something for Lauren and for himself. For reassurance, Jacob patted the pocket that housed his upper level ticket. |

"Thank you, but I got a note from Warren that I need to meet him here." he chuckled. Now where is that old geezer. Quote:
He then nodded and looked at them as they go towards the VIP area. |

Suzanna landed on the ground and stumbled around shakily for a few seconds, regaining her balance. She looked to her feet, and saw a fork fallen there, which had been her portkey. It was only her second time travelling by portkey, and even though she was better prepared, it had still come as a shock to her. When the ground finally stopped spinning, she cleared her head and looked around. Her eyes fell on her left hand, which was tightly clenching her identification. She loosened her grip and noticed her palm was white where the card had touched her skin. |

Sorry guys been gone for a bit but Im back!!! :D Armenn Recard came out from behind some trees that were close by, he had been watching this from afar and decided to come on out. He was the Portkey Division head. "Hello you all! Pleasent day isn't it?" he asked the other Ministry employees. He recognized a few of them. |
Plymouth knew this day was going to GO his way when their portkey ended up ebeing a bowler hat. He LOVED hats! And, maybe, if he was lucky, he could keep it? Maybe? Daphne Hopton LOVED his hats. Hehehe. Plymouth landed with style, did a little tap dance number, and waited for his brother Copernicus to get his composure as well. |
"I'm going to be ill," Copernicus muttered, but he was... he was okay. Sort of. Might throw up later. Maybe. "So. You have the tickets, right?" Copernicus asked, covering his discomfort with a grin. He knew Plymouth did not have the tickets. |

Plymouth gave that question the big-eyed look it deserved. He most certainly did NOT have the tickets. But... he.. well he knew about scalpers and all. He could get them tickets. "...." Yeah.... Oh! Saved by the big security fellow. Whew. Quote:
"Hiiiidey hooooo, Mr. Man." Plymouth fished out some ID and tossed it to the dude, all the while trying to not give away that he did NOT have the tickets. Hehe. hehehe. |

Armen walked over to the man that had just checked the two boys about Hogwarts age in. "Hello there sir," he held out his hand for a shake. "Im Armen Recard, Porket Division Head. DO I need to check in or anything?" he asked with a smile. |

"I have the tickets," Copernicus insisted. Making Plymouth sweat was fun. Getting booted out... less fun. He handed over his own papers and flashed their tickets. "We have tickets," he repeated. Ugh. Jokes come later. |

He nodded. “Great.” He smiled. He hoped his best bud would agree to staying with them. It might get very boring with Warren being on duty the whole time otherwise. He wondered what they could do inbetween matches to keep themselves occupied. His green eyes glinted mischievously at the thought. Hiding Warren's possessions might be good for a lark. Maybe vanish his bed and clothes. Oh Merlin.. that was just cruel. “I heard one of the campsites hasn't even got a tap.” He raised his eyebrows – Nate would be ok with that but he wasn't sure how well his wee brother would take to it. “We should try and get a spot near the grounds if we can.” Where the facilities were better. But at this rate and the inability to find their Portkeys, they were going to be among the last there... “We could try accio-ing our Portkeys.” He suggested. Could you accio a Portkey? What if it hit someone on the way over.. would they then be transported to your destination? Oh how the mind boggles. He looked at Tristan. “It's alright, really. Nothing to worry about." He said kindly and patted him on the back. There was nothing wrong with not having experienced Portkey travel.. in fact, you were kinda lucky... but he wasn't going to say that to Tristan. “Oh it's a weird experience. It's not as bad as apparition because you don't get that feeling of being squeezed.. and there's no danger of being splinched.” He assured the man who was looking a little nervous. “But it can be a bumpy ride and you have to hold on tight – it kinda feels like you're being pulled along.” He thought for a moment. “I can travel with you if you're a feeling a bit anxious about it, mate.” He offered. Anything for his bro. |
SPOILER!!: Pooooosts! He shook his head and chuckled. "No apologizing? awe..not fair." he nudged her on the shoulder as her head rested on his own. And then the lil one came to visit his wife along with his parents. Brian smiled and watching Becca's reactions lovingly. She was excited and it was written on her face. But..wait. What Lili said? She said his name goes with their lil boy's middle name? Brian looked up at both Lili and Iain, got surprised, ofcourse sweetly. Wow! Comparing with Brian's lil help to them it was relatively a nice and big gesture they had showed. He smiled shyly and looking back and forthe at Becca and the proud parents. "You guys are surprised me." he smiled at them, "Thank you guys." He just looked down at the baby who was in Becca's arms now. He shifted slightly to give more room for her to hold him comfortably. "He's gonna be a Quidditch player in future.." he said jovially and put his arms over hers gently from her side. "What's going-tobe-a-mother thinking now?" he whispered near her ear and kissed on the end of her jaw line softly. And soon it was time to move away. Both the baby and mother need some rest, obviously. Brian smiled and nodded his head at them, "Yeah. You need rest now. Take care of lil boy Brian.." he chuckled shyly and waving his hand at them "See you soon." See, They dont need tobe anywhere around here where so much of crowds and expecting dangers surrounded. They should be in their home or somewhere in safer place. But he didnt say it aloud, he knew Iain knew what was best for them. He wrapped his arms around Becca again after she handed over the baby back to them and watching their retreating forms with a smile "Lovely." Quote:

The Quidditch World Cup. There was no way Adrienne was going to miss this, and she was grateful to her father for getting her a ticket. As well as grateful that her parents felt she could be trusted enough to come on her own, even though she knew they planned on showing up as well. Just because her mother had given up playing (and had played for France anyway, who wasn't competing for the Cup this time around) didn't mean she wasn't still a big supporter of the sport. But in any case, Adrienne felt a little like the advance guard, for the Mercer family anyway, and was having fun using her new Apparation license. Apparating to the appropriate location, she looked around for a second before checking on her new Alexander McQueen sandals and brushing off the invisible dust that had collected on her loose cotton skirt. Digging around in her purse, she made sure she had her ticket, then headed over toward the check-in, wondering which other of her fellow Hogwarts students was going to be here. She'd imagine a lot of them. It was the Quidditch World Cup, after all. Not something that happened often. |

Hearing Brian's whisper, Becca looked down at Skye and said nothing. He knew what she was thinking, he always did. Smiling at his kiss, she kept looking at Skye adoringly until Iain took him away and ignored Lili's comment about her looking tired. "Yeah, bye" she smiled, watching them leave happily. Smiling since her best friends were now totally happy, she looked back at Brian. "Yeah." she agreed, relaxing again now that Brian was hugging her. She looked at him, her tiredness showing clearly now. "Still want to know what I was thinking?" |

First off, the car had broken down a few miles off of the road, and since they really needed to get to this business conference ASAP, they had decided to abandon the vehicle and start walking. Sure, there had been signs saying the area was closed due to construction, but they had ignored them--construction surely meant that there was someone who could help them! Suddenly, the crowd had appeared. He wasn't exactly sure how they had gotten mixed up in this jam...the people seemed to be appeared out of nowhere! Some of them were clutching old boots and tin cans, and a lot of them were wearing strange clothing. WHAT WAS GOING ON?! "Eloise?" He called into the crowd as he heard her voice. He pushed past the odd looking people and found her near the middle of the crowd, nearly knocking over a few people in the process to get to her. Oops. "I'm over here!" he exclaimed as he finally caught up to his fellow worker. "Where did all these people come from?!" he asked in a sort of panic. As he looked around, his eyes widened at a smalll group of people standing nearby. One of them had a BABY with them! A BABY! In a construction zone? Why that was just AWFUL parenting! James would have opened his mouth and scolded them (being the older of 4 boys it was a natural habit by now) but they were retreating into the distance. They needed to figure out what was going on, and PRONTO. "I dunno where we are but...we need to get out of here. FAST." Quote:

He could have sworn the signs when they were coming in had warned them about construction in the area, but now that he thought about it some more, the papers had announced this place was being closed as well. Yet it said nothing about a company outing...this was FISHY... And yet...MAYBE it was just the best cover up EVER. It would make sense for a company to put up signs warning of dangerous construction or toxic waste or whatever it was James had sworn he read in the paper...it would keep people away, and they could have their outing in peace. James would do it if he were in a management position! Yet, that still didn't explain some stuff. Why were some people carrying TRASH around with them? When they were walking over, he was still POSITIVE that people seemed to have arrived out of midair. Was he simply going crazy? Maybe the walk had made his head go funny... Quote:

Apparating directly from London with a pop, Benjamin A. Bennett looked down at his daughter, Jasmina. He had surprised her with the tickets upon her arrive back from school To say she was extremely excited was an understatement. Reaching into his inner jacket pocket, he pulled out their tickets and ID's. It had been some years since he was issued a Ministry ID and if he did have one, it would of course be invalid due to the fact he hadn't worked for them in nearly four years. Hopefully, his regular ID would work. He did have Jasmina student ID as well. "JB, you are very quiet. I should be worried." he teased his daughter as they waited Mina shook her head and laughed at her father. Yes, she was excited to be there and she had wanted to come but something was on her mind. She knew that some of her friends would be here and she would get a chance to see them again, but maybe it was for the best to not see certain ones for a while. She really needed to take to her cousin and hoped she would be there at their campsite once they got there. "Yes, you should. For it's always the quiet ones that you have to look out for," she replied while glancing around and waiting patiently for their turn. Her father had all their papers and all she had to do was just stand there. She saw all the possible portkeys just passed the check point and somehow managed to spot the one her father told her would be hers, a sequined mask. That was kind of fun at least. Glancing around again, she looked for possible other students. occ: Mina will is played in Navy and Jade is played in Royal Blue. Plus the difference in font size. |

Uh oh. There was a ruckus happening, and the only reason Ben was lucky enough to hear bits and pieces of it was because he had just started to leave security just moments ago. There was no doubt that these newcomers were muggles...that man in particular seemed AWFULLY suspicious of them...and people were apparating left and right! What would a muggle think if someone happened to appear out of thin air RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEM? Gahhhh. He was going to need the troops for this one. Looking around, he noticed that security seemed to have things under control at the moment. He hurried up to Brian and whispered, "I'm going to get my Obliviators, just in case," before turning on his heel and running off towards the campgrounds to locate his employees. |

Becca sighed as there seemed to be confusion in the middle of the crowd. Nudging Brian gently, she pointed it out and wondered if he'd leave her to sort it out or stay with her. Feeling dizzy from the tiredness taking over her, she nodded to him a little and smiled to tell him it was okay to go sort it out. Closing her eyes to try and ignore the dizziness, she listened carefully. Why were people mentioning muggles? If there were muggles here, wasn't it a bit stupid to say the word in front of them?! |

And the talkings were so odd too. ID, Muggles, Campground. What is all that? After hearing James's voice, Eloise went tip toed to get a glimpse of him. "WHOAAAAAAAAAAA!" he exclaimed, stumbling backgrounds so much that he lost his balance and fell to the ground. "What is GOING ON HERE?!" he demanded, staring in horror at the two people who had just appeared. How on EARTH HAD THEY DONE THAT?! Acting a bit nervous he looked around to make sure no one was listening and whispered under his breath. "If they found I told you this I could be fired but.... I work for a company that invents stuff. This is a prototype of a new invention. Still has some kinks in it sadly but..." Nodding to Ben, he said, "Okay, Ben. Just call me if you need any help from my department." Brian looked around saw Warren, who looked like he was so close with this muggle man as his hand around the man's shoulder, talking and looking at the someone, probably Chris, security division head over his shoulder now and then. He shook his head with gave him a We're keeping our distance away from your job, Warren, no worries kind of smile. |

When he pulled away from her, she whined a little and then leant back in her chair. Just a minute? She could deal with that. Smiling when he put a chair in front of her and then put her legs on it, she stretched out properly and then yawned. Shifting onto her side with a smile, she reached out to take his hand. "I dunno if I want to sleep.. I don't want you to go" she pouted slightly and looked at him, still feeling dizzy. |
Forrester was a bit late this time. He had to make many stops before apparting to the Quidditch team. He had arrived to the check point and waited to be given a clearance so he could move onto the field |
Tasha Came to the rescue!, oh no the one thing that she didn't want to happen, a muggle let loose in the Quidditch World Cup!. she ran over to ben to see where he was last spotted! "Ben where did he go!, maybe I can feed him a good enough story to send him on his way." she was out of breath from running so her words were broken and slured. |

Seeing a guy approached the check-point, Brian greeted him. "Hello there! I think you know the routine, so can I see your ID, please?" |

Callie rubbed at her eyes and pushed her hair behind her ears. Apparating was not fun anymore. It hurt when you didnt land on your feet. When you landed on your butt it hurt indeed. Straightening out her new outfit, she approached the people there and overhearing them asking for identification she pulled her own one out, in preperation. |

It was quite sweet seeing Brian and Becca reunited.Almost made her wish she had a boyfriend of her own.Shaking the thought out of her head, she went back to standing, until Brian told her to sit down. "Oh thank you," she smiled, knees creaking as she slid into the seat offered. "Can't stop for long, though, I've got to get on and clean the west field." Oh yeah, work again. But this was monumently important stuff. Gazing around and taking it all in, Olivia spotted the ruckus with the muggles. It suddenly dawned on her that she didn't know the cover story if she came into contact with one.Being muggleborn herself, it wouldn't be the fitting in part she'd have a problem with.....Then she saw Callie turn up and show her ID, prompting her thoughts to snap back to the present moment.Turning to Becca and Brian she grinned as she stood up again. "I'd better be going, so much work to do.I hope you're ok now, Becca, but don't hesitate to get me if either of you need anything." The experiance hadn't totally put her off helping her friends. With a wave, she made her way behind a tree, at a discreate distance from the muggles, and apparated back to the campground. |

Miss? He called me? OH!! Do I look that much young? Eloise couldn’t help but blushed but got her senses back in next second. Help. Confused? Hey I’m a senior excecutive officer of the popular pharmaceutical company. “Help? Umm…mmm..can you tell me what place is this?” she asked, took off her glasses to clean it. She looked over her shoulder and found James, her collegue too sitting on the floor and shielding his face by using the briefcase. His important document briefcase. “James!! Are you okay?!” Very much alarming.. |

"Ok, Tasha, please work with this man here," Ben instructed, pointing to the one who had been talking to them as they arrived (Cinn-O-Bun) "And try to figure out a good excuse to tell them to try and make them go away. I believe he's been working on a few stories himself so make sure your stories match!" he told her. "Sir, this is Tasha Starr, my division head in the Muggle Worthy Excuse Committee," he whispered to the man. No need to use that word in front of them AGAIN. "Maybe she can help you calm them down!" He then turned to Frida, who had just arrived on the scene. Thank GOODNESS! Now they had an obliviator to get rid of their memories, if need be. Ben could have done it himself but he hadn't performed the charm in years...he was awfully rusty and didn't need to completely mess up their memory. "Frida, wait here and watch the situation closely. If they can't convince them to leave by the pure powers of persuasion, you're going to need to obliviate them," he explained in a whisper. "So start thinking of a good memory to plant in their brains, just in case!" Finally he turned to Lima, who had a few of her employees on the scene as well. "Stand by in case anyone does any magic--the presense of a muggle might make them mess something up if they get startled or nervous about them being here. Not to mention that probably won't help the situation," he added with a small grumble, staring at the man who was shielding himself with his briefcase. |
ooc. for everyone, this is RYDER, not Lili, if anyone needs Lili, shes at one of the campgrounds somewhere! Ryder was trilled. He got to attend a Quidditch World Cup, and better yet, his girlfriend Sarah was coming with him. Summer was going pretty well, he had to say, he was excited to be going back to Hogwarts for his 6th year, and Sarah would be there, and everyone else. Except Dom and Kaika of course, but tha was okay. Perhaps he would run into Miranda here too. There was bound to be a lot of people here from Hogwarts. Since Sarah and himself lived in different areas, they were both taking seperate portkeys around the same time and had planned on meeting at the field. Before they had to check into for security. Seeing though, as he didn't really have parents, he had had to come up with something that would allow Sarah to come with with him. He'd gotten in touch with his friend Kaitlynn who, during the time that he was in his third year, but not at Hogwart had spent a lot of time with her, and staying at her sister Lilianas place a lot. He had not seen Liliana for a long time, but when he had been talking to Kaitlynn (she was related to him distantly) she had said that she was going to come to the QWC, and would be staying with her sister, and when she had asked her sister about it, she said that Lili was more than okay with it. There were just a few things he would have to put up with. He was unsure what that would mean, and Kaitlynn would not say, but that was okay. Any family at all was good with him. He grabbed the toaster portkey on the ground, and felt himself being propelled to where the check point for the QWC was. As he landed on his feet in the middle of the field he pulled his ID out of his pocket and waited for Sarah and for the security people. |

OOC: This is Sarah (in Dark Orange), not Olivia (who posts in Dark Red) Sarah was as excited as it was possible to be.Not only was she getting to go to the QWC, but she was also staying with her boyfriend, Ryder, while she was there. She had been worried that she would be unable to attend as both her parents were muggles, but after many owls sent between the two of them, Ryder had come up with a plan.So here she was holding a portkey for the first time in her life and landing on her bum in the middle of a field. Nice. Standing up, Sarah took her ID out of her bag before slinging it over her shoulder.Spotting a familiar head of hair just a ways in front of her, she practically skipped over to it.With a tap on the shoulder she grinned at her boyfriend."Hey, Ryder," she greeted with a kiss. "Sorry I'm a bit late, mum wanted to make sure I had everything I needed for a camping trip. You been waiting long?" |

But he`d do what he was required to do. "Well miss. This is a" camping ground? no they`d never believe that "Its a science experiment." he finally said. Yes that was a nice excuse. "Could you please tell me who you are" he asked. The main thing to do was keep her busy until Ben or the obliviators did something |
The Cartwrights, particulary Evan, had been waiting for it since it was announced. It'd be a perfect opportunity to relax after a hard year of school, and Evan could forget that Lyra and Fallon had to go away. He had to find new friends. He'd overheard that Aaron was coming but he guessed there would be many people here, so that the blondie could easily avoid him. Which field was their tent placed anyway? Evan couldn't be that unlucky, could he? In some empty land of Liverpool he looked for an old mobile phone. He couldn't understand why they didn't "accio!" it. His father said they needed to take it from the exact spot, but seriously, a few meters shouldn't matter. Sighing angrily again he walked through the land fourth time. How could his father get the 'address' wrongly? He just hoped they wouldn't miss the portkey--otherwise they would have to go even further towards Manchester. He didn't understand why they didn't drive to the Cup too--it wasn't that far. But no, their new, shiny Volvo would be crashed. Eye roll. Like they couldn't place a disillusion charm. He shouted in joy at last, calling his parents to the black, sparkling object. "It's here! It's shining!" he shouted in joy, but his father looked rather worried. He heard him say "Hold it quickly!" right before he was forced to. He saw a blurry green field, and-- "Ouch!" He fell on his knees. His mother grabbed him, pulling to his feet. They had landed on their feet safely. And you'd expect parents to protect their child. He got up, his knees hurting, and followed his parents towards the security. His father had already had three IDs out, handing them in an angle for the officer to see them. Evan sighed in relief. They weren't late for the portkey! Or hadn't landed on somewhere wrong. Talking of Evan Cartwright, that could happen. |
