Apparition and Portkey Check-In OOC: The Minister of Magic, all foreign ministers, the quidditch official and players, and any special guests should arrive via the Special Transport Floo Network. All others may arrive via the Apparition and Portkey Check-in. Those not able to arrive at the Quidditch World Cup via the Special Transport Floo Network will need to utilize the Apparition and Portkey Checkpoint for their transportation needs to and from the event. Mr. Armen Ricard, a division head in the Department of Magical Transportation, has worked with those in his division to place two hundred portkeys in easily accessible places throughout the areas that will be used for travel. Mrs. Madison Masterson, another division head in the Department of Magical Transportation, has worked with those in her division to develop plans to monitor all areas to be used for apparition and ensure no one is seen by the muggle eye. You may or may not encounter these employees or a number of other Ministry employees throughout your travels. Please remember that they are present to assist you should the need arrive. Please use apparition to arrive at the portkey of your choice. You may use that portkey to arrive at the campground sites just outside the Quidditch World Cup area. OOC: In the spoiler tab, you'll find a list of the two hundred portkeys. You may roleplay your character using the portkey of your choice to get to the event. SPOILER!!: Portkeys And remember you can get into the Campsite only after get through the Security check-in. No one will not be allowed into either the campsite or the stadium without getting Security clearance. So co-operate with Security Personals. OOC: (Which means, Security department people will give you a security clearance avvy. So be patient please..) |
"Ooop" Becca giggled as they apparated to the spot where the first portkey to the world cup was situated. Smiling to herself as she saw a teddy bear sat on the ground, she shook her head "There it is" she pointed it out to Brian "Ready to start working?" she grinned, waiting for him to pick up the bear. |
Warren walked along the grounds inspecting everything twirling his wand around his fingers. A habit he'd picked up awhile ago. Walking into the Portkey Check-In he looked around for his young 'apprentice' or so the kid only wished. He'd have to learn a lot and he still wouldn't be him. He never would. He shouldn't want to. Sighing he looked around to see..no one. Great. He really needed more people and he had a certain...dislike...for cloning like Forrester did. |

Briony stumbled as she apparated to the portkey she was suppose to be using. There it was, and old book. |

"Oh of course," she smiled back at him. Briony took the card out of her pocket and handed it to him. "I'm Briony Whitehall. I work in the Magical Education department. I live down in an apartment in London," she informed him. She turned as there was a crack from behind. "Sorry we're late Briony," Jared informed her, shaking off his little sisters arm. "Thalia was freaking out." He walked up beside his aunt with his little sister. "My niece and nephew are using the portkey with me," she explained to him. |
Stacey-Ann apparated to the portkey she was supposed to use and it was an old umbrella |

Jared took his ID out of his pocket. He handed it to the man. "I'm Jared Whitehall. I work in as an intern at the moment in the Ministry and I'm from France," he told him. Thalia smiled at him. "Hello," she said. Almost her first year. Maybe she would meet kids who were soon going to Hogwarts here. |

Stacey-Ann took back her id card and said "Thanks very much" Stacey-Ann took hold of the portkey and transported away |
CRACK...numble came to the grounds to start his duties he walked over to brain Hello Mr.lee numble said how are you doing i was wondering if you wanted me to go over byr the specail transport floo's to wait for some of the ministers to come in?numble asked |

Briony waved goodbye and the three of them got transported by the book. |
Warren's attention was quickly brought back toward the people arriving when he saw...dear lord.... "Mr. Amsten! Get over here." What did he think he was doing? They were MLES not security they were strictly there to play wall and jump into action in case something goes wrong. Turning toward Brian he sighed, "I'm sorry Brian, he's new." And I'm doing such a bang up job keeping him from doing anything stupid it seemed. Frowning as Ben approached he pointed next to him. "Do not move. We do not check id's that is Security's job. If you're bored go wander around and make sure nobody's doing anything stupid. Or go check the floo network." Geez kids. Maybe he wasn't ready to be a dad after all. |

Madison apparated into the area she knew to be the area where those who were opposed to floo would appear. As soon as she appeared by herself, she waited for a moment to allow her body to adjust. "Ahhh. Warren," Madison greeted her friend as she walked over to him. Her bright smile turned as there seemed to be slight tension in the air, or to her it did. "Everythig okay? Anything I can help with?" |
GAH! Why in the hell had Nathan opted to come by Portkey? ...Because he wasn't 100% sure where this QWC was taking place and it was likely he would end up miles away from the site if he apparated. And then what? To be lost in the wild forever and ever? Hum.. no thanks. He's rather suffer the bumpy ride and take a portkey. He apparated into the designated area with a crack feeling a little disoriented - he hated apparating - and it took him a few moments to register that he was actually where he was supposed to be. Good one. He looked around at the sea of people and tried to spot his friend who had bought him tickets for this damn thing so he had no choice but to attend. Meh.. he was looking forward to singing around a campfire in the evening and toasting marshmallows more than he was the Quidditch. En-ger-land... pfft! What was Warren thinking? The Scotsman, unable to show his discontent at having to attend this thing, wandered off in search of his ogre of a friend... as well as the bowler hat portkey he had chosen to take him to the campground. |

Madison greeted Warren in a hug and then pulled back. "News? I do hope it is good news." Though it had to be by the smile on his face, something she hadn't seen much of. As Warren invited someone else over to them, the same someone that was at the ice cream shop, she grinned and nodded her head towards the gentleman. "Hello," she spoke politely, hoping that she would be introduced by Warren. She loved meeting new people. And speaking of new people, the sight was beginning to fill up with other people, some she knew, others she didn't. One other person she recognized was Mr. Brian Lee as now her nerves were not so noticeable. Poor man for having to deal with that side of herself. |

Brian grinned, "Why not?! Even a funny competition too running between us" he laughed when Nathan slapped him jovially. Nathan was always easy to move and laugh. "Oh..It's okay mate. You're all cleared by security head himself" he said jovially and handed over his ID proof back to him. "Yeah, I've been busy with family and work." he looked down at Becca beamingly. "And life is getting crazy busy especially from we're expecting our junior" his gaze automatically settled down on her bump fondly. But when he looked up at him, Brian's forehead creases at the uncomfortable silence of Nathan. Oh..something is wrong?! Why he had been taking lotta time to reply for such a simple question!? And above all there was no life in his tone when he said they were fine and his smile was fake, obviously. Brian's heart skipped a beat. He wanted to ask more but didnt want to make him feel more uncomfortable since they were surrounded by quite amount of people. "Okay, we miss them.." he said quietly. |

"And now that you're both here...I have news." Taking a pause for pure drama he looked at them both and then at Brian and Becca who knew already and his smile grew. "Alexa and I are engaged." Yes! They are...and he could literally run circles around this clearing now he was so happy. His grin widened as he looked at his two friends. As Brian's question sunk in with Nathan his smile faltered slightly and he looked at his best friend. Yes he needed to get out and about and so help him he was going to help him. But if he had learned anything the only one that could help Nathan was himself.... Turning toward Madison he looked thoughtful for a moment, "Hey Madison...where's Jadyn?" |

When Brian looked down at her bump, Becca said nothing and didn't move at all, she was used to it now. When Brian seemed to decide to let the subject rest, she smiled at Nathan and squeezed Brian's hand encouragingly. He'd done the right thing, but was he going to corner Nathan sometime and ask what was going on? |
Marco hadn't been sure which area to land in. Because everyone knew who he was. So he was most definately a special guest, and a quidditch player. But his group wasn't. He apparated onto the normal people section. He occasionally liked to get down with the common people. There was a muggle song to do with that. "You can start the party now, I have arrived," he announced. |

The big wizard took in the scene. He recognized a few faces already, some of which were engaged in conversation. He stopped when he saw a pile of perfectly sculpted blonde afar looking like he owned the joint. He took the first step in his direction and began walking quickly past him and feigned muttering to himself. "I'm just glad that Marco Denver isn't here...OH! Hello, Marco!". The large man came up from behind Marco and smiled at the security wizard, preparing to pull out his own identification. |

She then turned back to Warren as he began telling his happiness. "Oh Warren that is wonderful news," she exclaimed, clapping her hands together. She loved happy ending stories as she seemed to fall into that category as well. "Oh I wish you two the best of wishes. You will make an excellent husband." Well she seemed to think that the side of Warren she knew would be perfect for any female. "Jadyn is at home with my brother, Caleum at the moment. I wasn't ready to bring her up here just yet. Constantine is to join us at the Quidditch World Cup once he is home from Hogwarts." That was something she couldn't wait for, the arrival of her husband and the reunite of father, mother and daughter. Quote:

"I have seen you around, Mr. Denver, and I apologize that the gentleman did not recognize you but you do need to show your identity as does everyone," she spoke in a soft yet stern voice. She wasn't being mean but she was not going to have a scene caused in her area. |

"Mrs. Masterson," she spoke as calmly as she could, answering Marco's question. "And in order to obtain permission to step inside for the Quidditch World Cup, it has been clearly stated that you must have identification, Mr. Denver." She was being professional in every way. "Therefore I am afraid that you are not allowed to pass at this time. Your shopkeepers permit does not qualify." Everyone had to go by the same rules no matter who they were. |

"Mr. Denver, we allowed Mr. Slughorn through as he provided proper identification, which is what Mr. Hobgartner asked for. If you cannot provide the proper ID, then you need to return home and get what is asked of you." Truly, if the man did not provide what was required, Madison was going to have him escorted out. He was NOT getting through without ID and that was that. |

Alright. Marco was getting heavy. Still mindful of the 'do', which almost needed a name in itself, Claudian placed Marco down on his own two. He recognized Mrs. Masterson and gave her a friendly nod, but remained quiet. |
Aryanna Slughorn arrived -- late -- at the World Cup check in, having had to finish brewing and bottling at the apothecary before she could travel. She glanced around, feeling a bit bewildered and lost. Where was that husband of hers? She glanced about the small gathering of people... There seemed to be a bit of commotion going on between the officials and some unruly guest. Hm, the Cup hasn't even started and already, it starts. People need to learn how to behave. she thought as she approached... Oh my. She should have known Marco Denver was responsible for the ruckus... and of course, her husband was right at his side. She shouldered her travel bag and smirked, waiting to see what chaos |

Mehmehmehmehwheeee... Within moments, Sarah apparated to the check-in area, just slightly flustered. It was really the first Quidditch World Cup she'd be attending and she wasn't exactly sure what to bring. Did she need a toothbrush? Would she need to bring her security blanket...? That... she... doesn't sleep with of course. No matter. Sarah had gathered up any things that she saw fit and stuffed it in her bag, using an expansion charm to hold it all. Now she wasn't exactly sure how things were supposed to work. She hadn't quite discussed the whole matter with Becca and Brian, but surely they wouldn't mind her tagging along with them? Of course she didn't want to be the lightbulb, but... well... this event would be an exception. So Sarah stood where she had been standing for the past few minutes as she glanced around, looking out for a sign of her brother and sister-in-law, or for someone to give her the 'okay'. |
Quote:
"Hi, honey..." she said softly to her husband, digging deeper still and growing agitated. "I'm so sorry- I can't believe this... It's GOT to be in here somewhere..." she apologized to the ministry security agent, blushing furiously. "I really am Aryanna- Mrs. Claudian Slughorn... he can vouch for me..." she said, pawing through her belongings, clearly very embarrassed. "I'm sure I have it here somewhere..." she wished she had packed lighter. So embarrassing... the wife of the assistant to the minister, here without her ID! |
Quote:
|
Quote:
"I really am who I say I am... Please... My husband works at the ministry, I really don't want to embarrass him in front of colleagues-- I was running late, I think I left it at my shop in Diagon Alley... I really don't want to go all the way back, I hate to travel by portkey... Can't you let him vouch for my identity? Pretty please?" the tiny young woman glanced up to him, her blue eyes pleading, before she glanced down, continuing to hunt. |

Shock couldn't help but appear all over Sarah's face when some man stepped towards here, saying that she must be Brian's sister. It wasn't that it was false.. it was TRUE. But how did he know? She didn't believe ever meeting him before. Nor did she believe that Brian had ever put up pictures of her on his desk for two reasons. One... that would be just plain old weird and creepy. And two... she wasn't a very photogenic person and had made herself clear that she did not want any pictures of herself displayed around the Ministry. NEVER. But anyway... Sarah soon got over the shock and smiled at the man. Must be one of Brian's employees. Friendly guy. "You've got that correct. How'd you know?" she asked, curiously. She looked down at her clothing to check if there was anything that said, 'Brian Lee's Little Sister' on it. Noooo... "Oh. Of course," Sarah said, nodding her head as she dug into her bag looking for an ID. A down side to having an expansion to her bag. Difficulty finding things. But Sarah managed. After much searching and embarrassed smiles, she was able to fish it out of the pile of stuff in her bag. "Here you go," she said, handing it to the man. "I hope you won't mind if I go looking for my brother and sister-in-law?" |
Quote:
|
Oh. Okay. Blink blink. That made sense, Sarah guessed. No matter. Time to move on. "Thank you Mr..." she stopped there and didn't say anything. Oh well. She took the ID from his hands and smiled and nodded her head at him. Sarah stood there with a blank look as she watched the guy walk away and continue on with business. Great. Now what? OHRIGHT. Look for Brian and Becca. Just joy. Sighing, she heaved her bag as she trudged around, searching for the two. |
Daphne apparated to the location her boss gave her. Situated at that spot was a lone backpack, an object that stood out against the rolling fields. A few others joined her at that point as she checked her watch. When the group was certain it was time, they all put a hand on the bag. She was not a fan of traveling by portkey, it felt as if she were being yanked in every possible direction, and it wasn't at all appealing. Finally she felt her feet hit the ground and saw she was now in the midst of a massive setup. Witches and wizards were running about, obviously the Quidditch world cup was no easy task. She reached into her small purse and pulled out a notebook and quill and began to jot down her observations. She walked up to a security member. "Hello I'm Daphne Jones with the Daily Prophet," she introduced herself, rummaging through her bag for her press identification."So how it going so far, according to plan?" she inquired, eyes darting around, observing the action. |

Okay. Whose idea was it to turn a cactus into a portkey? Reeling slightly from his imaginary-airborne journey, Tag stumbled sideways a bit before dropping his duffel on the ground. He looked down at the great potted cactus he had been required to grab, because at some point it had decided to hug him. He looked down at the plant, feeling his pants stick. His shirt had decided to stay, too. Squinting hard, Tag slooowwwwwlllyyyyy pulled back. Riiiiiiiiiiip. Well. So much for that Caerhilly Caterpillars jersey. Tag pulled a cactus spine out of one palm. He dragged his duffel towards security, where there appeared to be lady holding up the queue, and pulled out his wallet. |

To Everyone... Madison heard another person stating that they did not have proper identification with them. Were they for real? She took out her wand and placed it to her throat, making sure the volume was not too loud but loud enough to carry over the voices. "For those of you just arriving, please have your identifications out and ready. Security is working as fast as they can in checking and it would be appreciated to those who are already prepared. "If you do not have identification, I'm sorry to say that you will not get into the event without it." She paused at what she was saying to look at Marco Denver with a raised brow and added. "No matter who you say you are." |

Claudian waved when he saw Xana. He was sort of waiting to see what would happen with Marco, meaning, how long before hit wizards came down and casted in him a temporary holding charm. It took him back to their school days. Marco Denver and largely significant quidditch events usually ended with the former on lock down. As he waited he noticed Xana looking flusterly for her various purse items. Oh, her id! He'd forgotten that he'd tucked it away with his own for safe keeping. Reaching into his robe he made his way back over towards Chris, the security wizard and gave him Xana's identification which read: Aryanna Slughorn. "Xana is her nickname." He felt he should explain. Right behind Xana the curly haired wizard known as Tag appeared to have port-keyed himself...the hard way. "Tagren! Fancy seeing you here." Claudian remembered Tag from his school ground behaviour, which often constituted of things Claudian was never really sure were fact, myth or legend. Could someone really stash that much cheese wiz in their dormitory? And if so, how? |

"Great I can't wait to meet him and see her again." His eyes followed Madison's to where a confrontation was arising and he frowned with a nod in acknowledgment of what she said and her hand on his arm. Following her his hand slipped into his pocket preparing for anything. "So mate," he started without looking at Nathan, "bring anything for the tent?" |
Quote:
Claudian gave the security wizard a thankful nod and took Xana to the other side of the clearance. He thought it was best to be out of the way now that witches and wizards were arriving quite abundantly. He waited a moment for Tag and Marco, the latter of whom was likely going to be arrested sooner than see the match. |
