It's time for the Slytherin team to build on that team spirit, discuss what went right and wrong in the last game and most importantly; figure out how to win the next game to finally lift that Quidditch Cup.
The Slytherin captain; Skylar Diggory (PhoenixRising), will guide you through this practice.

Nope, Skylar hadn't. Or he hadn't gotten the memo at least.
Thanks for reiterating their failures earlier in the term. Cameron doubted anyone had forgotten about those. Setting his bat down next to his bag, he listened nonetheless (of course, this was their CAPTAIN after all) and nodded along. Wait, so this wasn't about improving their skills but rather to...work on their team spirit? Was this really necessary? Eh.
Not really what he'd been looking forward to today.
Mounting his broom as instructed, Cameron pushed off the ground and started flying around the pitch. He didn't need the team for this, he could do this on his own too. Hopefully it would get more interesting than this.

Skylar let her players get off to a good start before she kicked off into the air behind them. Also, Cameron, did you not see that team spirit WAS tied into improving their skills? If they were able to work together and all be on the same page it was all about the skills they would ultimately be able to overpower the other team with.
Yes, we see you other two roommates - Junia and Vivian - and just in the knick of time too. Beams for her two fellow sixth years as she observed. And a beam for Kye and Zarina who completed the task; this is why they were chasers, obviously.
Right, and she was off, tailing Patrick, because duh, of course she was.... it wasn't as if she was a slow flyer. She knew all about control and was able to successfully navigate her broom up and down at a consistent speed without having to worry about slowing down too much when she descended. See, most, she would imagine would have to slow down on descent or risk crashing, but she had that control thing down that she could maintain the same speed.
And they were done with that little warm up activity. So now hovering in the center of the pitch she called them all to regroup. "Right, so now that we're all a little warmed up... let's get started. We're gonna divide up ..... so if your uniform number is even, you'll be on one team, odd, on another team. And while it doesn't seem like it's related or connected, I PROMISE, it is. Because quidditch is more than just passing quaffles and scoring or hitting bludgers or catching teeny tiny golden balls. It's all about coordination. Working together. It's not an individual sport. If you want an individual sport, go run a marathon or something. Compete in a broom race. Whatever."
"Anyway, here's the deal. I have under this large tarp here two piñatas. They're badger shaped. And what you have you have to do is work together with your team to use only the ends of your brooms to knock it. BUT there's a catch. It's charmed to move whenever you move so you have to use your teammates to move and surround it... corner it.... Don't let it slip away. OKAY, so team even gets the yellow one, team odd gets the black one." Flicking her wand, both badger-piñatas flew into the air, one on each end of the pitch. "Wands away. Remember, only your brooms."
ooc: I hope this makes sense, but anyway, we have until the 23rd to post, so have fun with this. The piñatas, as I said, are charmed to move with one person moving, but if you get two or three people cornering it, you should be able to get it to not move. and then the other person to knock it. or you can use the goal posts to as a stationary object to corner it into... or the stands... whatever .... have fun.
Um, any questions, VM or PM us ... if it doesn't make sense, ask, because we kind of just are ad-libbing this so hope this makes sense We split the teams based on your numbers assigned the beginning of the term, so, team even/yellow is: Junia, Skylar, Alyce, Patrick, and Teddy. Team odd/black is Kye, Zarina, Cameron, Vivian, and Flynn.

Hovering near their captain, Cameron listened to what they were supposed to do. Hit the piñatas. With their brooms. Got it. What was inside the piñatas? Had she told them that? Was it candy? Or something Quidditch related? Okay, now just for that he really wanted to win at this. Were they competing against each other?
Once Skylar was finished, Cam turned towards the rest of his team (Kye, Zarina, Vivian, Flynn) and flew a little closer to them. "I think we should...try approaching it from all different sides at once. That way it won't know which way to move." Good idea? Yes, he thought it was. And then once they had it cornered maybe two could hold it in place while the other whacked it with their brooms.
They could figure that out once they'd completed the first step.
Kye could easily have had a complete FIT of laughter at the sight of the pinatas, but she was able to contain herself for Sky's sake. Were they going to hit these little badger pinatas to pieces?? She knew the importance of this win, but it was still hitting her funny bone. As instructed, she gathered around with her teammates (Cameron, Zarina, Vivian, and Flynn). Right off the bat (no pun intended), Cameron had an idea. With a shrug she responded, "I think that's as good a place to start as any!" Because it was. She figured that they would have a better idea of how to actually trap it once they were in the air and saw how it responded to all of them. If this didn't work, they could try approaching it in different ways, and yea maybe even using the goal posts to their advantage? They could figure that one out if Cameron's plan didn't work.
Zarina was flying and doing some tricks and once she looked down, she got the praise from the captain. She grinned and began to fly down towards the center since it looked like they were going to start another activity. She got off her broom and gave the captain her full attention. Zae was impressed with the activity and thought it was doable. Were they on different teams? Hmm got it. She had an odd number so she was with Cameron, Kye, Vivian, and Flynn. Zae moved towards her group and she heard Cameron's idea. "Ah so you mean like an ambush? Yeah that can work let's try that. Who wants to start off...?" she asked looking around at her group mates. Zae didn't care she could start off.
