Down the hall from the Potions Laboratory and Storeroom, you'll find the office of the Potions Mistress. Professor Adara has a magical clipboard hooked just outside that will alert her to your presence. If she's in the middle of brewing a complex potion, she'll alert you to return at another time.
Inside her office, the former Hufflepuff it brightly decorated with quidditch trophies and accolades from her time as a professional quidditch player, as well as awards from her healing days (basically everything she could to brighten the dreariness of the dungeons). Her office wouldn't be complete with photographs on the bookshelf of her dashing husband, beautiful children and grandson. She's also got photographs of the U-17 England Quidditch team from the past couple summers that she's been coaching. On the large professor desk is a cauldron setup of her own.
While not your mother, that doesn't mean she doesn't care. If you're in need of a pepperup potion, she'll provide it. If you just need a warm hug, she's got that too.

Professor Adara was on this fifth years list of persons to have a quick but serious chat with early on in the school term. While she wasn't struggling in lessons anymore (yes, some potions were still difficult!) she still needed the okay from the professor to continue forward with her Animagus trainings. Mostly for the reason that she would have to be brewing the Mutatio Animalia potion a couple of times as well as testing it out on herself! This meant a bit of supervision would be needed at least in the beginning until she was positive that it could be brewed correctly and safely consumed without any issues.
Sooooo this is what brought her to be standing outside of the office with a quill in hand. Bryony scrawled her name neatly on the clipboard and then stepped to the side. It was time to wait and see if Adara was available to speak with. Hopefully she was!

While certainly she kept herself busy with potions lessons and quidditch, that didn't mean she wasn't available. Other than her brief bout of unexplained illness that put her down for a couple days but she was feeling much better now. Alerted when the name appeared on the clipboard, Amelia glanced up from her notes, as one of her quidditch hopefuls was waiting there. Was this a meeting about quidditch or potions? Only time would tell.
"Come in, come in," she called out to the fifth year waiting, closing her notes so she could give her full attention to the student.

The usual bouncing on her toes and rocking on her feet was what kept Bry in relatively one spot off to the side of the office doorway. Had it not been for these small actions she very well may have ended up pacing back and forth and not heard the call for her to come in as soon as she had. Lucky for her, she only had to wait a few short moments before being told to do so.
Bright smile on her face and no hesitation at all, her hand reached out to turn the handle on the door and allow herself inside. "Hello Professor!" Cue the all too common wiggle fingers as part of her greeting. "I hope I'm not bothering you if you're busy... But if you have a few moments I'd like to speak with you about something." This conversation had to do much more with Potions then it did Quidditch. In fact, it had nothing at all to do with the latter. Perhaps Professor Adara had already heard about her Animagus studies last year?
