Default Rules and Expectations

In-Character (IC) Classroom Rules & Expected Student Etiquette:
  • Punctuality: Hogwartians don’t dilly-dally do they? Please be on time to avoid disrupting the lesson;
  • Active Participation: Have fun while learning a trick or two! Remember to raise your hand when answering;
  • Points: Points will be given for a job well done. Points will be taken for misdemeanour including tardiness;
  • Attire: The Hogwarts uniform is the standard attire to be worn in my lessons unless otherwise stated in the announcement;
  • Attitude: Inside the Potions Classroom, and basically wherever I wish to hold my lessons, students are expected to be on their best behaviour. All drama should be left behind the threshold upon entering the room;
  • Chatter: Discussions before and during the lessons are fine, provided that they are in moderation, and relevant to the topic being discussed;
  • Edibles: Food and drinks are strictly prohibited during lessons.

Out-of-Character (OOC) Rules & Expected RPer Etiquette:
  • All SS Rules & General Classroom Rules apply. IC and OOC offences will be dealt with accordingly;
  • Plagiarism is not allowed. You can look up the answers on Google, but please put in the effort to use your own words;
  • Do not edit your posts/answers once you have submitted it. Code fixing is allowed;
  • It is expected that not everyone should/will know the answer, and that is totally fine by me. Points will be given accordingly, whether or not your character's answer(s) is/are correct. What's important is your participation in my class;*
  • OOC-late for class? No worries! Just post your character like s/he was there all along. No points will be taken from your character unless you explicitly post that s/he is indeed late for whatever reason. Sometimes, you just gotta do it for funsies, you know?
  • Lastly, let's all have fun!

POINTS DISTRIBUTION POLICY

For the sake of transparency in grading, here is a nifty guide on how I will be grading your seminar and activity posts. One must be reminded, however, that each item/action may have a different score compared to another activity/lesson planned by another Staffer. This would entirely depend on the activity/lesson planned by Healer Reed and me.

All participation posts during the theoretical portion will be given points. Each post will be read, and if the content of said post contains the needed “correct” or “incorrect” answer (or action) whether voiced out or not IC, points will be considered and awarded accordingly. Please refrain from copy-pasting answers from Google or any other HP Site such as HP Wiki, because what I am looking for here is your effort as an RPer and the participation of your character. If you have any questions/concerns, you may VM/PM, Email, Skype, Trill, or Tweet me.

Thank you!
