Honestly, when I was young, HP forums were everywhere and I love them. I want that feeling back.

I joined Snitchseeker because I want to share my fan fiction on this site.

I wanted to participate in a Harry Potter based rpg :)

I joined a few minutes ago but it has been years since i've been looking for a site like this - where you get to engage with other Potterheads and just join in on the fun. I hope I can keep up with everyone. I'm quite excited to meet everyone.

I joined up here at SnitchSeeker because I am an OG Harry Potter fan. I read my first HP book in 1997 and became apart of the original wave of Yahoo groups, fan formus, and discussion groups spawned from FanFiction.net reviews and such. I remember the 3-year summer between GoF book and OotP release; Harry Potter was central to my formative years and I'm an adult with a spouse and a kid now. :)

I miss the feeling of an online HP community. Social media is okay, not the same, though. I miss the forums. Sharing links, discussion boards, and such.

My favorite HP forum was FictionAlley Park/FAP, c. 2000-2020. I was really sad to see that forum go and I am THRILLED to find this active hub of an HP forum.

I joined because I saw the new game come out and thought it would be fun to join an RPG community that might give something similar.

I joined SnitchSeeker because I've heard stories about how a lot of HP fans found community and had fun by posting on forums and discussing the series while it was still being written, during the earlier days of the Internet. And I'm frustrated I missed out on so much of that side of the fandom. So I decided, no longer! Gonna take my HP nerdism to another level!

For me, it was something else. I came across your yearbooks as I was making a yearbook for another HP site and was looking for inspiration. I will say, your yearbooks are AMAZING, I wouldn't deny that at all! But that's why I joined snitchseekers

I joined because I'm enjoying Hogwarts Legacy so much that I get a bit emotional, and I've been dreading finishing the game and not being to immerse myself in the world of Harry Potter anymore. So I started looking around for forum RPGs, like I used to do way back in the day for other IPs, and here I am! I'm very excited!

I wanted to talk harry potter but i have no socials, the last place i tried to talk about it i was harrased by multiple people, so i decided to search for places that do accept me and i found this :] !

Why did you join Snitchseeker?

I was searching for a community to join for a ages and found non. I finally found Snitchseeker and decided on the go to join to discuss & get the latest news. I grew up watching Harry potter so its part of my life :)

I have been a fan of Harry Potter since I was 6 and the first book was released. It has been one of my most cherished stories and worlds to imagine and live in. Though I participated in every JK Rowling official site that she released over the years, I wanted to get involved more with others who love and want to discuss this world and its ideas. I'm surprised I haven't done so until now! I also have an RPG project that I would like to commence once I get everything in order, and this site seems like the perfect place for such a project.

I joined SS because I don't have that many friends in school and none of them are intresterd in Harry Potter as much as I am so I wanted to meet people with the same passion to Harry Potter as me.

Me too, very glad to be back! I was sure I had an account here years ago around but tried all my old usernames and email addresses but no luck :( Mind you, I was in so many HP forums I could be mistaken.

To share about Harry Potter! It's so nice to come back to forums, I miss it and don't get all the social media hype... I used to be a member a long time ago ! (but lost my credentials)

I also recently created an android quiz app with extremely difficult questions about the Harry Potter books, and I was looking for some knowledgeable Potterheads who might want to give it a try! It just didn't felt the same sharing it on social medias, so I decided to come back to the roots! ;)

played rp's before, but sadly fell out. would like to rekindle that passion again.

I'm really excited to join the Roleplaying community! I would love to roleplay as an actual student at Hogwarts or a Ministry worker.

I've been on and off with the idea of creating some HP related film shorts for a few years and never found the drive to do them. Recently this fell back into my "I must think about this immediately and incessantly" list and I decided I should probably get involved in a community and I obviously picked this one because it's the best... If I'm completely honest I watched FB again recently and decided i can't do worse than WB so why not have a go.

Book Seekers
 

I found the book seekers challenges on StoryGraph and then learned about the forum and wanted to join to complete the challenges.

I joined because I have been a big fan of Harry Potter since childhood, but an even bigger fan is my mom who has read all the Harry Potter books and also books that are not by J.K. Rowling but by a writer who also wrote a good book about his son. James Potter, I listen with open mouth when she tells me about the events that take place in those books.

Meet people who I can talk in depth about the HP world. I don't know anyone IRL who would discuss the many topics associated with it

I make aesthetics, and I came across this site trying to save a picture saying "Arithmancy" so I clicked and it sounded interesting, so I joined. So far, I am not disappointed!

Research / Study / Extraction
 

My whole purpose in joining into the Wizarding World at this point, is to study Rowling's works more closely, and experience more of how she did what she did.

Initial interest is in character development - most particularly, a review of the life and character Snape - related to comparisons with another character on another Forum.

I do not write fanfiction - but I do write about the works of authors. Having edited two authors' books, one just published, and another about to be published, I'm currently involved in writing my own.

It may well be I'll have something to write about Rowling's works before I die as well. There are things to be said.

I miss the old days of the internet where internet forums were more prominent. I used to browse different forums back in the day and believe they have a sort of lingering charm. I suppose it's a mix of love for the HP universe and nostalgia.

Boredom tbh..but wondered if here were any Harry Potter forums out there

I'm 35 and just started reading the series for the first time (only saw the first movie). Nearly finished with book 1, but am already hooked. Can't wait to explore the series further.

I joined the forum to connect with other Potterheads and discuss the wizarding world with fellow-enthusiasts. Will do my best to avoid spoilers! lol

I joined because I want to participate and keep up with all the discussions happening here, Harry Potter related or not. I’m excited to talk about the things I love with like-minded people.

Hello fellow Potterheads. It seems most of us are here for the same reasons. I only discovered this forum recently despite my now PhD equivalency in the franchise. I'm just enthused that I can openly express my endearment for the books and movies and the world with the comfort in knowing that on the opposite end of the screen is hopefully someone whom shares my sentiments.

It's been so long ago I can't rightly remember . . . but I made wonderful, beautiful friends here once upon a time, and that's probably why I joined. That and the fanfiction. Gods, do I love to write . . . :mwaha:

I joined the site because I'm looking for a fun HP forum with a friendly community. The last site I was on didn't have much of a community because they can't get any new members to join there...

I joined SnitchSeeker to find a community of other people who love Harry Potter. I also wanted to explore online RPG more. I think it will be fun.
