| | Which is your favorite Harry Potter film? And why? Which is your favorite Harry Potter film?
And why?
The original eight film adaptations of J.K. Rowling's blew the world away, but which blew you the most away?! Why is that? Were the additional scenes given to Tom Felton in his portrayal of Draco Malfoy in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince what pushed you over the edge? Was seeing the Quidditch World Cup AND the Triwizard Tournament come to life on the big screen in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire enough to leave you stunned? Or perhaps Alan Rickman's unforgettable portrayal of Severus Snape in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 that propelled it to the top of your list? Whatever the reason, this is your space to share your favorite film and why! Rules & Guidelines for this thread:- Before posting, please make sure you have read through the Newbie Process, Snitchseeker's Rules & FAQ, and perused the Site Resources forum.

My favorite film is PoA because it is ~aesthetic~ and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the scene where Harry gets the Marauders Map from the twins. As a kid I'd press rewind over and over.

The Sorcerer's Stone is by far my favorite movie. It is the only movie in the franchise that is filled with love and happiness. It's understandable that the series gets darker as it progresses and therefore the movies reflect that. However, when I need a good escape movie and a feel good story that I enjoy, I rewatch the first movie. Sometimes, I just have it playing in the background while I go about my daily tasks, and I listen in from time to time when my favorite scene or background music comes on.

The first is not the best. But everything started with her, it changed my life, I fell in love with something that 20 years later I am still in love.

| Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
I like all movies but the third movie is my favourite because it is close to the book and has been thematically the one movie which I could relate to the most.

I love all the movies, but the Prisoner of Azkaban is my favourite because out of all the movies the PoA is the closest to its respective book and also because it is when Harry starts to find out more about his parents.

Order of the Phoenix. I loved watching how the characters interacted with each other in that movie, especially Luna.

The Philosopher's Stone has to be my first choice, the primary reason being the soundtrack. I haven't listened to a single soundtrack more often than this one.

I see I'm in the minority but I liked both parts of Deathly Hallows. I just found them to be rather emotional and I loved how it looked visually. Still can't believe it's been 10 years.

For me, it has to be Philosopher's Stone. The sets were so grandiose, the wizarding world was new, I loved the aesthetic of the old-fashioned robes and the castle.
I do also really enjoy the Prisoner of Azkaban, more so now than when it first came out. I believe that's a critics' favourite as well, I just wish they hadn't interrupted the setting so much

Definitely the last two Potter films of DH parts one and two. Not only are they the grand finale of the series that they did a REALLY good job with, but it was also the time that they FINALLY made Ron a better character and more accurate to his book counterpart. He was no longer the laughingstock of the previous films and as one of my favorite characters, I really appreciated that.

I'm always torn between Philosopher's Stone and Half-Blood Prince! The former because it is just so wholesome and nostalgic, and the latter because I genuinely find it so fun and amusing to watch.

Mine would definitely have to be Chamber of Secrets, as it includes some of my favourite scenes from the entire franchise. The scene where Molly Weasley catches Fred, George and Ron sneaking into the burrow after saving Harry from the Durselys never fails to put a smile on my face every time I watch it.

to be completely honest, the Goblet of Fire. there is a lot of Weasley's time, there is a lot of Cedric's time, and there is enough Snape time!

It's so hard to choose! I really love CoS, PoA, GoF and the first DH so much! If I could only pick one then CoS I think as it's the one I re-watch the most, followed closely by the other three though!!

The last three four combined. They are more fused with each other than the first four and I absolutely love the last four.
Why? The characters evolve and deepens a lot. The story takes a sinister turn and what has been (mostly) fun and games turns into serious stuff. Of personal levels for every character. I just love it.

I would have to say that I like DH2 the best - it showed Molly's fierce protective side when Bellatrix came after Ginny, and I LOVED when Neville whacked Nagini's head off.
