| | Which is your favorite Harry Potter film? And why? Which is your favorite Harry Potter film?
And why?
The original eight film adaptations of J.K. Rowling's blew the world away, but which blew you the most away?! Why is that? Were the additional scenes given to Tom Felton in his portrayal of Draco Malfoy in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince what pushed you over the edge? Was seeing the Quidditch World Cup AND the Triwizard Tournament come to life on the big screen in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire enough to leave you stunned? Or perhaps Alan Rickman's unforgettable portrayal of Severus Snape in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 that propelled it to the top of your list? Whatever the reason, this is your space to share your favorite film and why! I think I answered my intro post wrong, because it's actually a tie for me between Prisoner of Azkaban and Goblet of Fire.
I loved what Alfonso Cuaron did with Azkaban. There was a very palatable darkness to it, which was totally appealing to me. Especially juxtaposed to the lightness of Chris Columbus' work in the first two films.
I loved Goblet of Fire because I was fully on the journey the three stars were on. Dan Radcliffe and Rupert Grint both had long, rocker hair (Dan was also having this punk rock discovery moment--sheesh--I read a lot about them on the inter webs, I was obsessed), and Emma Watson was getting into fashion and slaying all these red carpet looks and blossoming into this intelligent, stunning ingenue. Goblet of Fire also featured that rock band at the Yule Ball, which, among many other noteworthy musicians, consisted of my ALL TIME rockgod crush Jonny Greenwood from Radiohead fame. *swoon* Goblet of Fire was totally rock and roll and I was here for it.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban because it has a happy ending and it's a bit spooky but most folks are still alive. It ends on a hopeful note, which makes me happy.

I'm in the overwhelming majority when I say PoA is my favorite, barely beating out the first movie, and for an admittedly shallow reason that has little to do with the movie itself. I just really loved seeing the movie designs for everything: Buckbeak, Remus' werewolf form, Harry's Patronus ... I think I was drawing sparkly deer in my notebooks for days after I first saw it.

For some reason, everyone says PoA and I agree. It's the perfect movie in the bunch to watch if you just want to see one.

My favourite Harry Potter film is definitely Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. I love it because the Dark Lord becomes reborn and that is where the adventure starts.

it used to be chamber, but as i got older i realized i preffered prisoner of azkaban. the symbolism, the characters, the plot is all the finest writing in the series. and gary oldman being introduced as sirius black, i mean, come on. great actor.

My favourite one is the Goblet of Fire but second best is Prisoner of Azkaban. In the Goblet of Fire the action starts big time. And in the Prisoner of Azkaban is the first "scarier" movie and the characters are a bit older.

I want to say that it's Chamber of Secrets, simply because that is my favorite story in the series. But, looking at how the movies interpreted the books, I would have to go with Prisoner of Azkaban. It's a great mix of seriousness and whimsy, and I enjoy how much it evolved visually (set and costume design, special effects, ect.) compared to the first two movies.

I'm going to have to say Prisoner of Azkaban. Overall I love the direction the director took for this film. I loved seeing the time turner in action and the introduction to the dementors and the patronus!

The Goblet of Fire is my favorite of all the movies because I enjoy all the tasks and adventures the contestants of the tournament go through.

HPS is my fave. I love the astonishment and look of awe at learning about such a magical place. They were so young and innocent. Also love the beginning of friendship. This music video sums up that feeling of awe and wonder I’m talking about. It brought me to this form to remember joy and love I have for all HP Movies.

My favourite film to watch would probably be Chambers of Secrets and Deathly Hallows as it was so dramatic to see on a screen (like the bit with Tom Riddle and the Harry's Death).

The first film will always be my favorite. The introduction of the characters I had grown to love felt like reading the first book all over again.

The Prisoner of Azkaban, of course! I think the time travel repetition aspect combined with the prophecy and the first "darker" feel of the film...

My favorite movie is the Goblet of Fire—I had it on DVD as a kid and would rewatch it constantly. I also find the Triwizard Tournament super exciting, and the ending is WILD!

I absolutely love the Goblet of Fire movie but I think my all-time favorite is the deathly hallows part 2. I love watching the series that I grew up on come to a close.

I have to say Goblet of Fire, mostly because I think of it as the middle point. Before that movie, the movies were mostly light, pretty colors and scenery. After Goblet of Fire, the movies start getting progressively darker and with more intensity. I like that middle ground Goblet of Fire provides. I also like it for the meme that this was 'the year without haircuts' because literally everyone in that movie has long hair
