| | Which Harry Potter book is your favorite? And why? Which is your favorite Harry Potter book?
And why?
The original seven works of J.K. Rowling captivated the hearts of young and old alike, but just which of them captivated yours the most?! Why is that? Were you transported along with Harry and his companions as an 11-year-old into the wizarding world in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone? Perhaps learning the tragic back story of Tom Riddle in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince was more your cup of tea? Or maybe it was seeing it all come together in its epic conclusion with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows that truly captured you. Whatever the reason, this is your space to share your favorite book and why! Rules & Guidelines for this thread:- Before posting, please make sure you have read through the Newbie Process, Snitchseeker's Rules & FAQ, and perused the Site Resources forum.

Please do not talk about Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Cursed Child, Quidditch Through the Ages, etc. in this thread. There is a place for you to share about those right here.
- Likewise, this is not a place to share your views on the original 8 Harry Potter films. Just the books. There is a place to share your favorite film and why right here, however.

My favorite book is the Chamber of Secrets, mostly because of the good vibes I have associated with the book, but also because of the mystery aspect!

If I had to choose which of the Harry Potter books are my favorite, I would have to say Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. I love the Triwizard Tournament story line and also reading about other schools besides Hogwarts!

I have to say Order of the Phoenix because I like the cover, I like the angst that Harry has to work through, and I also like the battle scene at the ministry

hello, I like all the books, but 2 are my favorites and the prisoner of azkaban and the half-blood prince, I immersed myself in the whole atmosphere that these books convey, by the way, in addition to reading books, I play on this site kitty glitter slot machine.

Ooh. This is a tricky one. I'd have to say my favorite book is Order of the Phoenix, but my favorite chapter is "The Burrow" in Chamber of Secrets. It just makes me feel so warm and cozy when I read it.

My favorite book is the Sorcerer's Stone. It brings back so much nostalgia from when I was little and read it the first time and all the different points in my life where I have reread the series. I love the character building as well. It really sets the tone for the series as a whole. I still feel joy and excitement each time Harry lays on the floor in the cabin on the rocks counting down to his 11th birthday as Hagrid is about to knock the door off its hinges.

My favourite book is the Goblet of Fire because I think it's quite interesting to find out about the different wizarding schools in the magical world.

My favorite book is Prisoner of Azkaban. I think Lupin and Sirius are great characters, and the book gives more details about Harry's parents.
I also like Half-Blood Prince because of Snape's background.

It is a very difficult choice, but I have to say that Order of the Phoenix is my favourite. There's simply so much detail in it, and it takes its time - it's like the difference between going for an energetic and enjoyable jog (Prisoner of Azkaban) or a long and leisurely walk (OOTP). I love the whole DA arc; setting up a secret student society is very appealing to me.

Half-Blood Prince is my fav because it expands certain characters (Voldy and Snape) and we get a better picture of them. I really hate two-dimensional characters so this is why I loved this book.

Has to be Goblet of Fire for me, I think it's the book where Harry and the gang start to grow up, but it's the last book before things start to turn really dark. I enjoy each book in it's own way, but I think GoF is the one I've gone back to the most.

Even though I love them all, I picked GoF because for me personally I really loved learning about other magical schools besides Hogwarts. And just the fact that it’s both the absolute middle of the series and therefore the “real turning point” of the story with the return of Lord Voldemort; just makes it that much more harrowing for me. And I love it. |

I'm not actually too sure on the why, but Prisoner of Azkaban has definitely always been my favourite book to read. Perhaps it's something to do with the way it's written so that everything is connected so well even with the time travel aspect.

They are all amazing, but I would say HBP or Deathly Hallows or maybe Prisoner of Azkaban.

Mine would definitely have to be The Chamber of Secrets. I feel that it doesn't get as much hype as the other films; yet it includes some of the best scenes in the entire franchise. You can't beat Molly Weasley finding the Weasley boys sneaking back to the burrow after saving Harry, as well as the howler when Ron steals the flying car!
Deathly Hallows Part 2 would have to be a close second though.

the prisoner of azkaban was definitely my favorite when i was younger. [insert old person's voice] i think i just loved that more of the world around magical "beasts" was explored and the introduction of animagi. today, maybe it would be the first book because i love how it starts off with the thorough (and very funny) description of the dursleys and harrys life there and then - bam - you're a wizard harry and then all the cool stuff happens you know? like magic and such.

My favorite is probably The Prisoner of Azkaban. I love Sirius Black and Remus Lupin. The Marauders Map is so cool and the history behind it was so cool to learn about.

My favorite book is the 1st because that one just inturdouses you to almost everyone and without it you would not understand the rest of the series.
