What is your favorite Wizarding World supplementary material?
And why?

Now that the Wizarding World has expanded so much, you surely have opinions about which new supplementary material is best! Are you a Fantastic Beasts fan? Is Pottermore your jam? How about Hogwarts Mystery or some of the other, older games? There's so much in the expanded universe of our Wizarding World, so let us know your favorites here! The poll is multiple choice, so if you pick more than one option, be sure to tell us why when you post!
Rules & Guidelines for this thread:
  1. Before posting, please make sure you have read through the Newbie Process, Snitchseeker's Rules & FAQ, and perused the Site Resources forum.
  2. This is not a questions thread. If you don't understand something and/or have a real question, go to The Question Thread.
  3. This is not a discussion thread. Rather, this is a place for you to share your personal experience and relationship with the expanded universe of Rowling's wizarding world. Discussion threads await you once you have graduated Newbie status, however!
  4. Only talk about materials that are not any of the original 7 Harry Potter books, nor the original 8 films. There are separate threads for you to share your favorites of those here and here!
  5. No spam. This means no posting off topic or posting multiple times in a row.

I'm a sucker for the original Fantastic Beasts and Quiddith Through the Ages. - I bought copies of them for charity years ago and they still sit on my shelf next to the actual books.

I really LOVE the illustrated version of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. The illustrations are gorgeous.

That being said, Pottermore is also a great resource for extra Harry Potter material!

I have to say that I like Pottermore the best when it comes to resource material (the fact that you can be Sorted into Hogwarts and Ilvermorny houses, have a wand choose you, and then find your patronus also helps).

I am going to say Harry Potter and the cursed child is my favourite way to get more information and a good play of how the play is acted out by each character

Nothing beats Pottermore, mostly because of the canon information you can find there. Being able to get sorted into houses of two different schools, find your wand and patronus, all with accompanying information is absolutely amazing as well.

I also quite like the Hogwarts Mystery game, but it's slow moving. :\

I reckon Pottermore is the best when it comes to resource material. For example, we can be sorted into Hogwarts and Ilvermorny houses, define our Patronus etc.

I love all the extra books, enjoyed the Lego HP games a lot, and have been playing Hogwarts Mysteries for a while now. FB Cases didn't really hook me.
But my favourite, just from the concept because it won't be out until (presumably) summer is Wizards Unite. Just the thought of an AR game that will immerse us into the HP world and bring things like crazy broomsticks or wild Nifflers to our neighbourhood...I can't wait to try it!!

You guys. The OLD HARRY POTTER VIDEO GAMES. Need I say more?! Am I the only person that remembers spending hours playing the Sorcerer's Stone game on my family's gigantic PC? It was truly addicting. I'll never forget running through the castle during Potions quests and fighting off Peeves. Or running from Filch and Mrs. Norris in the library! It was so much fun. I wish that I still had it - it'd be so nostalgic to play it now!

I do like a bit of Pottermore, it's a shame that the point and click game is gone now though, I used to really love it!

I have to say I've really gotten into Hogwarts A Mystery recently and it's the only game on my phone that I play every single day. It's a big slow moving at times, but I'm really enjoying the story and the fact that they've also included classes as a necessary part of the game. Coming back to it after a year having the magizoology stuff it also just awesome.

HP video games. I don't even know how many times I played through PoA and never got bored of it. I was really obsessed with finding all the secrets over and over again and completing the chocolate frog card collection. I mean repeatedly hearing "rictusempra" got a little annoying sometimes, but it's still the best video game I ever owned. xD
I've also really enjoyed the Fantastic Beasts mobile game, even though it's one of those object finding games I'm terrible at. I think the stories/cases are pretty entertaining on their own.

As an animal lover, I've always had a soft spot for the book version of Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them. I loved reading more in-depth about some of the creatures we encountered in the books, and admittedly the bits and pieces of commentary written inside by 'Harry' and 'Ron' were hilarious as well.

I like the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child book because I remember going to a midnight relase event with my friends in House dress. We got Harry Potter merch, drank Butterbeer soda, and got to hang out with my friends that had common interests.

Also, I don't know if it counts, but I want to say other and say the Very Potter Musical series. It introduced me to Darren Chris, (who later went to star in Glee) has some hilarious Harry Potter in jokes, and the singing is honestly great. It's not for everyone, but I really like the first and second ones

Pottermore's the best because it is interactive while also going deep into the lore.

Default Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

I relate alot to Newt and his dedication and love of his animals as well as how they representive each of the creatures in the movies (Frank, the Niffler and the Occamy are my faves). I am the sort of person who prefers animals over people and I relate alot with Newt himself.

I have always loved the different magical creatures and seeing some of them on the screen was amazing. That is why I have loved the Fantastic Beasts movies. I also enjoy the look at the different governments in the magical world.

The “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” book is my favorite because it almost feels like a used textbook you borrowed from a friend.
