Tattoo Types
Standard Tattoo - Your average tattoo comes in a variety of designs, most of animals, people, or phrases. Color tattoos cost more than black ink ones but all of this type are stationary and permanent.
Chakra Tattoos - It's like having a third eye! These tattoos are especially sensitive to dangerous scenarios and "warn" their wearer by becoming warm and glowing like the pustule on a clabbert. Most prefer this tattoo on the back of their neck or the center of their forehead.
Conscience Tattoo - Similar to the moving tattoo, the conscience design can be inked in the form of an animal, person, or word/phrase. While it must be in black ink, this design will be inked with a special hex that makes it burn when its wearer is doing something morally wrong.
Lumos Tattoo - This cheeky tat comes in any design (animal, person, or word/phrase) and glows in the dark, even underwater!
Moving Tattoos - Coming in the form of an animal, person, or word/phrase design, these tattoos can move all over the body, regardless of their original inking location. They are particularly "sensitive" to touch and emotion.
"Wearable Compass" Tattoo - Do you get lost often? This sub-category of the moving tattoo type could become your new best friend. The Wearable Compass will feature a moving hand that always points in the direction you wish. FYI: most people (and 4 out of 5 compasses) recommend North.
Time-Telling Tattoo - Are you always running late? This cousin of the "Wearable Compass" keeps you up to date to the millisecond. It automatically adjusts to the time zone you're in and is one of the most popular wrist tattoos to date.
Sphinx Tattoo - Enjoy riddles and puzzles right in the palm of your hand... literally! Whether you want a tiny Sudoku box, Tic-Tac-Toe board, or a moveable 2-D rubix cube, these tattoos will make you think.
Large Tattoo - These tattoos extend for the length of an entire limb or the space the size of an upper back, for example. Large tattoos sometimes take more than one session to complete.
*Prices are subject to change at shopkeeper's whim or depending on the size and/or labor required to complete tattoo.
**Prices include the cost of the one piece of jewelry to be inserted into the initial piercing location.
Please remember, only of-age wizards (those 17+ and 16-year-olds with parental permission) can get permanent tattoos. Wizards 15 and younger must have parental permission for piercings of any kind. Shopkeepers reserve the right to refuse a piercing or tattoo to any customer for any reason.

THE TATTOO PROCESS
SPOILER!!: The Process
THE INKING
1. It begins with cleaning the skin with rubbing alcohol and shaving the area (if necessary) with an disposable razor (each razor is used for only one client). After shaving, the skin is cleaned again.
2. The trolley (a moveable, stainless steel metal tray) with the equipment is set beside the chair for use. All the tubes of ink and needles are on the tray. The tubes and needles are removed out of the sterile packages in front of the client.
3. The tattoo image design is traced with the use of a black pencil.
4. Vaseline ointment is put on the skin to move the needle more easily.
5. The outline of the tattoo design is done first before the filling of the shades and colors can be applied. A different needle called a Magnum is used for coloring and shading.
6. Once the tattoo is finished, an ointment will be applied by the tattoo artist to prevent an open wound infection. A bandage will be put on the tattoo after applying the ointment.
EXTRA: A moving tattoo (and other wizarding variations) only moves with the use of specially made ink and/or too-secret spells which we can not give you the secret to.
THE HEALING
1. Leave the bandage on for at least two hours. DO NOT TAKE IT OFF BEFORE THAT. Even if you want to show your friends your new cool tattoo…they have to wait. A newly applied tattoo is an open wound. If you decide to remove the bandage before the two hours, you risk the chance of getting an infection.
2. After removing the bandage you have to wash the tattoo with lukewarm water and mild antibacterial soap using your hand.
3. Pat, DO NOT RUB, the area with a CLEAN towel to get it dry and use another antibacterial ointment on the tattoo.
WARNINGS!
Avoid the sun after getting a new tattoo.
After a few days you will feel some scabbing. DO NOT SCRATCH IT! Leave it alone because it is a normal sign that the skin is healing.
THE PIERCING PROCESS
SPOILER!!: The Process
THE PIERCING
1. Examine the area of the skin for any signs of scars, wounds, or other skin problems.
2. The area will be thoroughly cleaned with an antibacterial solution. Body hair may be shaved off if needed, as in the case of an eyebrow piercing.
3. The location of the piercing will be marked with a sterile disposable marker.
4. The piercer may decide to clamp the area with forceps to steady the skin and make it easier for a straight, even puncture. Clamping also stops the blood flow which helps numb the area.
5. The piercer will ask you if you are ready. The area will be pierced with a surgical steel cannula that comes wrapped in a plastic sheath.
6. The clamp is removed, starter jewelery inserted, and then the sheath is removed.
THE HEALING
1. Wash hands thoroughly.
2. Apply a generous amount of liquid soap on the fingertips and apply it on the piercing, the area around it, and rotate the piercing as well.
3. It is recommended to leave new piercings in for at least 6 weeks (especially ears) so that the holes do not close up. For such piercings, however, you should still rinse the piercing area with warm water and dry with a clean paper towel OR make a clean compress to leave on the piercing for a few minutes.

Extra info
Personality: Dory is a true wild child at heart. She’s creative, spontaneous, adventurous, fearless (sometimes to the point of recklessness), and a huge tomboy. She’s outspoken and unafraid to stand up for herself. Sometimes she can be blunt and snarky, but she makes a loyal and fun friend who is fiercely protective of those she cares about. Dory is her own person who refuses to pretend to be someone she’s not for any reason. Freedom of expression is very important to her, and she enjoys expressing herself through her art.
Likes: all kinds of art, surfing, skateboarding, cartoons, bright colors, fusion cuisine, soda, graphic tees, speaking her mind/expressing herself through her art Dislikes: her first name, dresses, high heels, lying, intolerance/discrimination of any kind, being compared to her sisters, sitting still, having her creativity stifled Motto: Be who you are, not who everyone wants you to be. Role Model: her grandpa because he is an artist himself and always encouraged her interest Annoying habit: Calls everybody “dude”, whether male or female Trademark: signs her work with two Ds hidden somewhere in the picture Signature:
History
Dory is the middle child of Rilian and Frida Dane. Her father is a well-respected auror at MACUSA, and her mother, a No-Maj born witch, is an accomplished potioneer. From an early age, she showed a unique talent and passion for art, much to the dismay of her family. Her parents didn’t see much use for art in the wizarding world and tried to steer her toward a more practical hobby, and her sisters had very different interests. Only her No-Maj grandfather, a cartoonist for a local newspaper, understood her and encouraged her to pursue her art.
Like her parents and sisters, Dory attended Ilvermory School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, where she was sorted into Thunderbird. She seemed to inherit her mother’s talent for potions and was also strong in charms and transfiguration. She enjoyed combining magic with her art and developed her own magical inks and paints. While at school, she gained a reputation as a rabble-rouser when she joined the Model MACUSA club and became an outspoken advocate for NoMaj rights. In her final year at Ilvermorny, her father ran for president of MACUSA, and Dory thought this could be her chance to bridge the gap between wizarding and no-maj communities… only to find out that her father planned to bring back a version of Rappaport's Law even stricter than the original. She withdrew her support from her father’s campaign and spoke out against his policies; to this day, her family blames her for his election loss.
After graduation, Dory’s father tried to steer her toward a career in politics while her mother wanted her to become a potioneer, but Dory had other ideas. She wanted no part of her country’s hostile attitude toward No-Majs and, upon winning a scholarship to a prestigious London wizarding university, moved to England and never looked back. She earned a degree in potions making, but instead of following in her mother’s footsteps, she used her skills to improve her art. After university, Dory attended a muggle art school for two years before getting a job as an apprentice tattoo artist. She rose through the ranks to become an artist in her own right and saved as much money as she could in hopes of one day opening her own tattoo parlor. When she heard Paradise Piercings & Tattoos in Diagon Alley was available, the opportunity was too good for her to pass up!
