Just as you enter the shop, in between all the chaos that may or may not have been going on, is a rather open area with a measuring tape that seems to be hovering in mid air. It wiggles and flies around, ready to measure the next customer to walk into it's range. The measuring tape will eagerly measure your height, the reach of your arm, and maybe even other strange measurements to help the wandmakers find the best wand for you.
In front of the counter there is the empty space that is designated as the fitting area. Here is where wands are fitted. After being measured by the magical measuring tape, you will be assisted by a worker who will then endeavor to fit you with your perfect wand and start pulling boxes from the shelves, which stretch back impossibly far and up so high that even the tallest people have to tip their head back to see the tops.
Long sliding ladders are attached to every stretch of shelves, and the wandmakers make great use of these to reach those wands which are tucked away high up. There seems to be a filing system of sorts, some kind of method to the madness, though most of the boxes are unmarked. Is it a colour code? Or is it shape? size? smell? Something else? Well you'll never know unless you get a job here. Luckily, and out of sheer necessity, these shelves have been bespelled so that wandboxes are not in danger of flying everywhere due to errant spells cast by children wielding their new wands.

⌦ In order to receive a wand, please take the WAND QUIZ ONCE for the character who is here for a wand. Then, post your character being measured by the "magical measuring tape" ONCE in this thread. This thread is not one where you should interact with others, one post here please! It serves as our queue!
See the example post below, or look at other posts in this thread from previous terms.

Jessica went into Ollivanders with more than her share of nerves, it was time for her first wand! The eleven year old made her way over to the measuring area and waited for her turn. Soon enough the measuring tape reached her and began zipping about, straightening with a snap and measuring out her height and, when she held her arms out, she watched it take a measurement of how long they were too. Fun! Did that mean her wand would be as big as her whole arm?
The girl stepped away from the measuring area and she eagerly waited for the shopkeeper to find her wand.
⌦ Please take the SORTING QUIZ first and wait to be placed in your house before taking the wand quiz! Your house effects your final wand in our quiz! This goes for current members who are re-sorting too, though you may take the quiz in advance if you know what your new house will be.
⌦ You may role play the magical measuring tape, but you may not role play for the shopkeepers. Ollivander does not work here!
⌦ After submitting the wand quiz and posting in this thread, please wait for a shop worker to assist you and your character in finding their perfect wand match. You do not have to RP to get your wand, but it is highly encouraged as a part of enriching your RP experience.
⌦ Please do not stretch the wand fitting experience out too long, it should not take more than three tries at an absolute maximum to find your character's match.
⌦ If we run out of time to complete the RP with you by the end of the RP summer, we will PM or VM your wand result to you, provided you have posted in this thread and responded to our efforts to interact with you.
⌦ If you have any questions, feel free to PM Felixir or one of the Diagon Alley Proprietors and they'll try to answer your questions as quickly and efficiently as they can.

And it was finally his turn. Yoji's first instinct was to cower in a corner when he was gestured to come forward, but he was a big boy now-- onto boarding school and all that, giving himself a quiet pep talk that he should just enjoy the moment of getting matched to a wand. And if he was going to be quizzed, well, he was quite confident he will be able to answer just fine, despite his difficulty switching his default language to English.
And so he'd just stood there with a couple more kids, and while waiting, his eyes wandered about the shop with what seemed to be an endless pile of wand boxes. He'd remained in his spot while making a slow full turn to really take in the sight of the shop. He was too distracted with what he was seeing, that he didn't take notice of the measuring tape measuring him, coiling him in the process as the poor thing made sure it got his correct measurements. It was until he felt a little tight in place, his arms stuck to his sides, and the end of the measuring tape caressing his cheek affectionately. "E-Ehh?...Tou--Touchan..." he turned his head ever so slightly towards his dad to get his attention. "Touchan, help please!" he whisper!shouted in his native Japanese.

Said shopkeeper was just a few minutes delayed in returning to this particular customer, though only because his enchanted parchment of measurements had come to search him out, so that he had already made his short expedition through the shelves in the back room by the time he appeared.
"Hello there," he said genially to this next customer, beckoning her closer as he set the wand boxes he'd already collected onto the counter. "Let's see if we can't find you a wand, hm?" Removing the lid from one of the boxes, he offered the wand inside to the young girl. "Give this a wave, and we'll see what's what."
"Hello"Bettie replied back to the shopkeeper. She then took the wand and gave it a wave. Disappointly nothing happened. Bettie was wondering was she really a witch or did thy send here the letter by mistake.

Then again, maybe this one also stuck in his memory because he recognised her as the girl he had noticed now and again through the front window of the shop. He suspected he had been observed even more often than that.
"Hello there," Zeke said in a kindly voice, joining his customer as the enchanted parchment with its measurements - which had dogged his steps since seeking him out - flew off to rejoin the measuring tape. "I have some wands here for you to try," he added, setting down the wand boxes he'd just gathered one by one, and keeping hold of the last, which was soon relieved of its lid. "Give this a wave, and tell me if it feels right." With that, Zeke held the box out, offering the wand inside.
It's true, Flo had definitely been observing the happenings of Ollivander's for summers, but still she didn't anticipate how tall the wandmaker was. It was entirely different up front, because now she was staring up at him. Only after a beat or two did she look at the man's hands and then the boxes of wands he'd been carrying. One of those was going to be her wand, and somehow she really hoped she'd match with the first wand so she can make her visit fast and easy.
Flo nodded as she listened and kept her attention on the man, still holding onto herself. "What is it supposed to do, sir?" The eleven year old asked quietly, staring at the wand being offered to her for a moment before taking it in her hand. Was she supposed to expect confetti? Or produce bubbles? Or conjure a flower? Yes, she had been watching what the other kids have made with their wands. She saw most of them. Suppose she was to be excited about making something happen for the first time with a wand, but not being able to anticipate the what was a whole other dilemma.
Calm down, Flo. Let's make this quick.
After inspecting the wand, Flo held it firmly and, as the wandmaker said, gave it a wave. Nothing happened. Her brows furrowed slightly, thinking maybe she did the wave wrong, and then waved the wand again. Still nothing. "It's doing nothing." How was she supposed to know if it felt right when it wasn't doing anything?

As a matter of fact, the measuring tape was controlled by nothing and no one, and was a law unto itself most of the time, but Zeke and it were getting along much better these days.
Speaking of, the man himself soon emerged from the back shelves, holding his parchment of measurements - which had so helpfully come to find him and get his attention by flapping incessantly in front of his face - in one hand, and a clutch of wand boxes in the other.
"Hello, hello, hello," he greeted his young customer, beaming genially and setting the boxes down. "Let's see if we can't get you matched with a wand." And, with that, Zeke plucked the first wand box off the stack and removed its lid with a flourish, before offering its contents to the girl. "Give it a wave, and we'll see how you two get along."
That would make the tape even cooler in Amatheia's eyes. As cool as a magical measuring tape could be. It did seem to get along well with the man. Even if he seemed distracted at the moment with the boxes he is holding. How many wands did he even have in this shop???
"Hello"
It was finally happening. Time to get her wand. the smile on the blonde face was growing since this was pretty cool. Ah she was going to ask what to do with it and he answered that. Must get the question a million billion times.
And 1,2,3 and she gave it a wave.
"Well it feels light if that matters???"
Just nothing.

And so he was. Sort of. Maybe closer to five ticks. Nevertheless, he had with him a small stack of wand boxes, the most likely culp-... matches for his young customer. "Just give this a wave, and tell me what you think," he said, opening up the box and offering the wand inside.

Waiting had never really been one of Wynter’s strong points, and standing in the queue for a wand was no different. The only thing that had saved the shop from complaints was the fact she acknowledged she couldn’t make her brother wait in line for her. Or Onyx, even though she figured her wand ought to be similar to her sister because identical twins. That was how things worked, right? But anyway, the petite blonde had waited, pretending she was just waiting in the wings for her cue in any of the stage plays she’d taken part in. Mum and Andrew were outside, and Onyx was behind her, but that didn’t mean she couldn’t pretend. Acting was basically pretending, after all.
The arrival of the measuring tape to measure her elicited almost a bored reaction. It was just like the costuming department, except instead of getting costumes out of the matter she was getting her wand. Still, basically the same. She knew how to stand still. Except the costumers really needed to know her facial structure. Maybe the makeup department then. Either way, she was looking at it all as a means to an end. Plus, there was the enticement of accessories once she’d actually gotten her wand. Those were important, after all. Protecting an investment, like papa always said. Wands were supposed to last.

Something about the shopkeeper being thwapped in the face with his own parchment made Eulalia feel more at ease. He was just a shopkeeper, after all, it wasn't as though she was being fitted for a wand by the Minister of Magic himself. Though she supposed the Minister having parchment fly into his face might have the same effect. Smiling a little bit as she relaxed, Eulalia tucked the lizard further into her pocket.
"Hello," she said quietly. She nodded, of course she was ready to try a wand. She'd been ready for this day for what seemed like her entire life but was probably only about seven years or so. She gingerly took the wand from the box. She wasn't really sure what would happen, after all, and she didn't want the wand to decide to zap her or burn her fingers.
When no zapping or burning occurred, Eulalia swished the wand. When nothing happened, she exhaled in what might be perceived as a sigh of relief but was really just relief that she hadn't caused a giant mess. "I, erm, I don't think this is the right one?" she said. She looked at the shopkeeper uncertainly. Or maybe she had just waved it wrong? Could one wave a wand wrong?
Smiling his encouragement, Zeke gave a little nod as the girl carefully lifted the wand from its box, and waited quietly to see what - if anything - might happen.
Aaaand... it was quickly becoming clear that nothing was going to happen, but, naturally, Zeke was entirely undeterred. "Then I feel fairly confident that it isn't. Not to worry, we'll just try again." He indicated that she should replace the wand back in its box, then chose the next from the stack he'd set aside. "Let's see how you get on with this one."

It probably would have also helped if she would have tacked on 'and try to stay still' to her little mantra, but such encouragement had faded into the background of all the rest of the verbal white noise that occupied the young girl's mind. Besides, how could one stand still when they were trying to find the right lighting in Ollivander's? Speaking of, by the way, the head hancho really needed to do something about that because where she stood waiting for the measuring tape to do its thing was not conductive to capturing the moment in a meaningful way! Depending on where she pivoted and how she held her camera (attached to her golden rhinestone bedazzled selfie stick) would sometimes make her adorable hair buns disappear against the dark wood of the shelves and boxes of wands so she looked BALD. "I knew I should have brought an additional light source," she sighed dramatically under her breath as she captured a half decent moment and then pulled from her other pocket her hand-me-down portable audio recorder and held down the topmost button with her thumb.
"It's Wednesday midmorning, July 16th. The weather, pristine. Sunlight drips through the windows of Ollivander's as the next generation of witches and wizards await the moment they received their wand. Their first real tangible piece to link them to wizarding society and the first bit of the magical world to tell them who they are and the potential they have to rise to or be crushed beneath," she whispered into it while...not exactly pacing back and forth, but rather pacing in the shape of a tight circle while mostly on her tippy toes. "The measuring tape is swift and nonsensical as it moves about the subject, yours truly, and has not tangled itself up around my limbs but is beyond reluctant to respond to any inquiries from one Diamond Marchbanks nor show her, me, any of the measurements. What exactly is it measuring for and why? Is the measuring tape really just an inanimate object, or are the rumors true that there was once a Seer turned wandmaker who was transformed into the measuring tape by a previous owner? These, and other, burning questions shall be asked today...but the most important of all is...what will my wand be? My prediction? Dogwood with dragon heartstring...Welsh Green."
Why did she think this? No idea. She had meant to do research to form an educated guess but she had decided to bedazzle this selfie stick last minute and it had taken fiveever to place each of the rhinestones (which matched and accented her sunflower shirt)...so she hadn't really had time to study.
By the time she had finished her monologue, the measuring tape had departed and was hovering over on the opposite ish of the shop. Just waiting was going to drive Diamond mad...so she pocketed her recorder into her trousers and turned her attention back on her camera, another hand-me-down, to take a couple more selfies and a few magical reels.
To be completely honest, Zeke had been aware of this particular customer before his measuring tape had even finished its task. Even as he finished ringing up a previous customer's purchases, he kept shooting glances her way while endeavouring very hard to keep the amused smile off of his face.
Either way, it meant he was ready for the measurements when they flew his way, catching them with one hand, finishing up with the one customer, and then scanning his eye down the list and making several rapid-fire deductions. He disappeared briefly among the shelves, and after a couple of minutes reappeared before the girl and her camera.
"Good morning," Zeke said, tone chipper, and hoping that he was not ruining some recording or other; he'd tried to time it as well as he could, but in a busy shop there was only so much he could delay the business of wand fitting. "I have some wands for you to try, if you're ready?" Lifting the lid off the first box and offering its contents to the customer, he offered a smile to go with it. "You know what to do?"

She missed her grandmother's mischievous grin, as she usually did, taking in the shop and the shelves upon shelves of wand boxes. Who had spare attention for their grandmother when they were at Ollivander's? Not Ivy, that's for sure.
Easily locating and slipping into the queue for measurements, Ivy recalled the discussion they'd had a few times, about wand cores. See, Ivy really loved dragons, she always had, she thought they were by far the coolest magical creature in existence. Ivy also knew, because Grandmother told her, that dragon hearstrings were very common wand cores. Did Ivy want a wand like that? Or did she want a wand that doesn't have a piece of a dead dragon because a dead dragon is obviously a tragedy and Ivy doesn't want any part of that?
It had kept her up at night, truly. It also distracted her now, so much so that she completely missed her turn to step forward to the measuring tape. She only noticed when it thwacked her on the nose and she let out an indignant "hey!" before allowing it to get to work. She also ignored Grandma's loud chuckle by her side, but couldn't help her own little smile. This was finally happening.
The measuring tape was up to no good again, Zeke could tell. Enough to warrant a glance from what he happened to be preoccupied with at that moment (carefully retrieving his own wand from amongst the shelves, where it had flung itself as the result of another customer's fitting, and giving it a quick once over). Finding nothing terribly untoward occurring in the measuring area, he allowed himself a smile and returned to the shop floor proper.
Once he was armed with the final measurements, not to mention a selection of wands for this customer to try, Zeke finally joined the girl and her chaperone. "Hello, hello," he greeted them both with his customary geniality. "Let's see if we can't get you matched with a wand, shall we?"
This was where the boxes came into it. Obviously. Zeke opened up the first and offered the wand inside. "Give this a wave, and we'll see what's what. Sound good?"

"Not to worry, lad," Zeke said, stopping in the measuring area and gesturing at the measuring tape, as though directing it to unwind and unsnare the poor boy, which it started to do. Whether by its own steam or on the wandmaker's direction, who knew? He gave an apologetic smile to the boy, and the man to whom he'd been whisper-shouting to, and seemed to have accompanied here. "I'll be back in just a moment with some wands for you to try."
With another smile and a nod, Zeke left them alone and went to consult his parchment, make his calculations, and go on a short trip around the shop and back shelves, soon retuning with a small stack of wand boxes. He set the lot down on the nearby counter, and opened up the first one, offering the wand inside it to the boy. "Give this a wave and tell me how it feels, and we'll see what else happens."

"It's different for everyone," Zeke replied. "Some make sparks, or weather effects, or something that reflects them in some way - though not intentionally. Some people also describe a warm sort of feeling in their wand arm, or a kind of tingling. Usually, it will feel right, it will feel like your wand. Difficult to explain, but you'll know when it happens."
Well. Actually. It wasn't difficult to explain, but Zeke thought it best he did not overload this child with his expertise on the subject any more at a time that may well already be overwhelming. He made no assumptions, but from the way she had been hugging herself like that, he distinctly detected some kind of anxiety there.
"That's okay. Sometimes, when they're not the right match, they don't do anything." And sometimes they wreaked pure havoc in his shop, but that was all part of the fun. Except when it was fire. Less fun. Zeke held out the box again, so that the wand might be returned, then picked up option number two. "Let's see if you have better luck with this one," he said, offering the wand inside.

Deciding that now was not the time for going into semantics, and about what was or was not supposed to happen, Zeke simply beamed. "Absolutely. This tells us that we have a match. This wand has chosen you." Very thrilling, very exciting stuff. And, though Zeke always made reassurances to his customers that did not make the match on the first try, he couldn't help but feel extra pleased when they nailed it in one, especially when it was him deciding which to try first.
"So then!" Wand specs. Love this part. Could talk about it all day. Probably shouldn't, though. "This wand is eleven inches of robust dogwood, with a billywig sting core." And, if he did say so himself, it matched the sparks she had produced very nicely, dogwood having that pale pink blush colour, and the darker streaks of pink throughout. It had a unique, interesting look.
"This wood, it likes matching with those who have playful natures, and so some underestimate its power, though it can produce some outstanding magic when called upon. You may find, however, that it may refuse to perform non-verbal magic. Likes the big, noisy, flashy kind of magic, this wood. On the bright side, dogwood owners tend to be lucky." Enough of a bright side? Maybe. Some didn't like the implication that came with the fact that a rather... loud... wand had chosen them. Some didn't mind. Most found it very entertaining. "The billywig sting core makes this a wand excellent for charms work. With this core, you should also have an easy job mastering this wand, and will find it very reliable - in fact, paired with dogwood, you might find your spells will be a little bit... lively, at least until you get to grips with it. With a firm hand, you'll do very well together." Not least because wands with this core almost always chose highly energetic or motivated individuals. A charming wand for a charming customer.
Pun... not intended. Ahem.
"The wand by itself will be 9 galleons. Is there anything else you'd like today?" Zeke asked, gesturing towards the list of products and prices.

This... pestilential... parchment. Zeke was really starting to have regrets about updating the enchantment on it. Did he really need it flapping about his head like an angry parrot whenever he took half a second too long to check what it had recorded?
(No.) (The answer was no.) (And yet he would probably keep it enchanted exactly as it was.)
Mustering all of his not inconsiderable patience, Zeke dealt with that, checked the numbers that had been collected by the measuring tape-parchment duo, and scanned his shelves for the best wand options for his next customer to try. He'd taken the time to ensure he was happy with the selection, and now stopped in front of the girl, all smiles and cheer.
"Hello there! Let's find you your wand, shall we?" Yes, they shall. With a flourish, Zeke removed the lid from the first box, and offered the wand inside to his customer. "Give this a wave, and tell me what you think."

Undeterred, Zeke held out the wand box so that the first wand could be replaced, ready for cleaning and returning to its place on the shelves later on.
"Not to worry. Plenty don't get it on the first try," he said encouragingly, and opened up the next wand box, again offering the wand inside. "Let's see if you get on better with this one."
Bettie took the next wand in hand. It just felt alright, Bettie gave it a wave. It gave a little spark.
Eulalia couldn't help but feel like she'd failed. Hadn't her cousin gotten her wand on the first try? The shopkeeper didn't seem disappointed, though, just got her a new wand, so....maybe it was okay.
She returned the apathetic wand to its box and accepted its replacement. Squishing her mouth over to the left side of her face as she concentrated, she made a silent wish that this would be the wand for her as she held it. She didn't want to disappoint herself again. After a deep breath, she swished the wand again, with a bit more flourish than the first time because she wasn't fully convinced she'd swished that one correctly.
The difference was...whoa. Her eyebrows, eyes, smile, practically her whole face lifted as a gentle little breeze swirled around and enveloped her. Not enough to knock anything over, of course, just enough breeze to fluff her hair, like someone had opened opposing windows in a stuffy room. Even the lizard in her pocket seemed to sense it, for when Eulalia looked down, the creature's head was peeking out curiously. Not being the observant type, the girl didn't notice that the wand was even glowing a little, she was too busy focusing on just how light and calm she'd suddenly felt.
"Can I have this one?" she asked softly. She wanted this breeze and this calm all the time.

Yoji looked at his dad, confused by his relaxed demeanour as if this was a normal thing to happen in Ollivander's. Jace gave the shopkeeper a wave, effectively telling him not to worry about a thing, and went on to continue sharing tea with his bestie in the corner of the shop.
Yoji quickly snapped his head towards the man who uncoiled him from what he thought was a harmless measuring device, another layer of pink graced his cheeks in the embarrassment of being caught calling for help from his dad. He honestly thought he was already failing the wand-matching thing. "H-hai..." Yoji muttered and bowed his head a little in response.
As the shopkeeper went on to pick possible wands for him, he'd kept an eye on the man, wondering how he managed to pick just a few from his inventory. Yoji hadn't seen that many wands in one place if he were being honest, and to be paired with just one out of the thousand was purely magical and curious for this young one. It didn't take long for the shopkeeper to come back, and offer him the first wand. Yoji gave the man a small smile and a slight bow of his head, and reached for the really handsome-looking wand, and gave it a wave. As he did so, it gave an involuntary jolt, and nothing happened.
Or so he thought.
A rather loud and dull thud was heard and came several more came from the storefront. Where light used to filter in from the outside of the shop, it was now blocked by rats stuck on the door and windows. It must be all of the rats from the sewers of Diagon Alley. Yoji quickly placed the wand back in the box and hid behind the shopkeeper. "I- I'm sorry, O-Orrivander-san..." first off, he didn't know the man's name and just assumed it was Ollivander, and secondly... his matching was proving to be rather traumatic.

Ivy idly wondered why half of these measurements were even necessary, and asked her grandmother as much. Surely only her hands and arms mattered? What different did her nostrils make? Or her ears? Or her kneecaps? It seemed so silly. But then Grandma wouldn't stop talking about the wonderful and curious art of wandmaking and Ivy felt distinct regret. No sound came from her puckered lips, but the expression she wore spoke volumes. She hadn't even looked at the wands yet and already she was impressed by the shopkeeper's dexterity and reflexes. She hadn't been expecting some fumbling moron or someone who looked as though they would get lost in a wet paper bag or anything, but she hadn't anticipated someone to so seamlessly juggle both magical measuring tape and mental gymnastics and look so dapper while doing it all.
"That was wicked smooth!" she exclaimed, her eyes widening in complete delight. For the briefest of moment she entirely forgot about her selfie stick and all other gadgets on hand...so she nearly dropped them all and performed a bit of exasperated juggling herself to keep ahold of everything. "Are you the head honcho around here or one of the head honcho's clever minions?" Diamond inquired while rocking up on to her toes for a few seconds and then lowering back down flat to the floor and then back up on her toes again. "Also...why and how did you get into the wand business and what would you say is the one piece of advice you would give to a wide eyed and bushy tailed youth like myself who is on the verge of receiving one of the greatest if not THE greatest extensions of themselves magically of their entire life?" Just a couple of questions...and just a couple more as she glanced down at the wand boxes in his possession and wiggled her fingers in eager anticipation. "Oh, wow, mum will be so cross with me that I did this all backwards. Hello, sir, pleasure to make your acquittance. I'm Diamond and, as you surely have sorted out by now, I will be starting Hogwarts this term." She glanced at the box and, specifically, the wand resting upon its velvet bed that didn't really look like much on the outside but there were always ways of bedazzling things to fit your aesthetic - and hopefully she had enough money on her to do what she wanted and she wouldn't have to compromise there.
Did she know what to do? She had inklings and knew that just looking at this or any other wand was not going to accomplish anything, so Diamond took a deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep breath and held it as she reached forward and took the wand in hand.
"...it feels cold..." she squeaked. "Like...really cold...is it supposed to feel cold? What does it mean when it feels cold to the touch?" Not only was it could to the touch, but soon there came a certain kind of crackling noises and soon the tip of the wand began to frost over. With another couple of loud CRACK CRACK CRACKS large chunks of ice began to form down the wood and even over the tips of her fingers...which meant another loud noise from the girl. Especially as the ice, SUPER duper cold by the way, began to creep up her fingers and over the back of her hand. "Is this a good thing or a bad thing?!"

Oooooh, Mister Wandermaker man was beaming at her! Vesper knew what that meant! Beaming smiles were always good. Always! The eleven year old beamed right back, bouncing around in a circle on the spot in pure excitement when told that the wand had chosen her! HER! To be its owner! This was the best day eeeevvvvveeeerrrr!!! "Perfect! Because I really like this one." Uh-huh. Nod, nod.
Yes, yes. She was listening. Maybe there was still some excited rocking on her feet happening but she was very much listening to the mans every word. "Cooooool! It's the dogwood that gives it the pretty pink streaks?" Ves was now looking more closely at her wand, really studying it and taking in the detailing. It was so pretty!
It paired with her because of her playfulness? What until papa and Vasco heard that! A big smile was given to Vera cause being fun definitely came in handy for something great this time around. "Oh, I don't mind it. I think we'll be just fine and we'll learn to work really well together, won't we?" Yup, she was already talking to HER wand. Loud and flashy magic, she could handle that. To her young mind, it sounded like she was going to have tons of fun with this wand.
"Yes, Sir. I'd like a wrist holster as well please. Do those happen to come in colors? Like pink or perhaps rainbow?" Something pretty to match with her new wand! Suggestions were always welcome too!

"It may. But does it feel right?" Twitching internally at his own unintentional rhyme - which felt far too close to an unintentional dad joke for his liking, given those were best when completely intentional and very annoying - Zeke considered the wand. Could be the one, could be not-the-one, given it hadn't made much - or, er, anything - happen. Best to be sure.
"Why don't we try another?" he said, picking up the second box and again removing the lid, and offering the wand inside. "See how the two compare."
Theia didn't really know how to answer that question. She gave it one more swish and a flick and didn't feel anything. Mostly just felt confusion. Was this normal??? One good thing is the guy didn't seem too concerned. The blonde nodded. Did seem like a good idea. Just umm...ok she handed the first one back to him since she didn't see anywhere else to put it and took the second one.
She blinked in surprised and how different this one felt in her hand compared to the last. Felt nice he guessed is the right word for it. She stared at it. Oh right, best swish before it gets awkward.
A big smile spread across her face when she saw rainbow sparks shoot out of it once she gave it a good flick.
It was really cool.
"Was that a good thing?"
She thought it was but wanted to know for sure.

Zeke's eyes flicked from the wand to the girl's face, looking for a sign that a match had been made. It was not a terribly dazzling display, but then many weren't. In those cases, it came down to the self report.
"What do you think?" he prompted, already reaching for the third wand box he had collected for this particular customer. "Does it feel right, or would you like to try this one?"

Ah, there we go. Sometimes there was just no denying a match, and here was just such a time. Zeke beamed at the girl and the wand - preoccupied enough with the latter so as not to notice the little lizard companion, not that he'd likely have minded. Happy occasion and all.
"Absolutely you may." For the monetary price, of course, but Zeke got the gist. It was a match, pure and simple. But now, for the fun part. The details. "This wand is thirteen and a half inches of pliant alder, with a snidget feather core."
As he went through its various attributes, he neatly stacked the other boxes and put them to one side, then cast the wand an approving eye. "Alder makes for a highly loyal, steadfast wand, the perfect magical companion. It's the wand best suited to non-verbal magic, so that's something to look forward to in a few years, when you start learning that aspect of magic. Alder also protects from drowning, and provides a boost to shielding and protective magic." And, of course, it was one of those woods which tended to be drawn to the most likeable, considerate individuals. Not a bad shoutout. "Snidget core wands are very responsive and consistent in producing magic, and is particularly well suited to charms work and defensive spells, particularly spells that cater to evasion. An excellent duelling wand, if you ever feel so inclined to try that out."
But that was up to her, of course. He was just the man who provided the wands, and set these magical youth on their way. Most times, he tried not to think too much about that.
"Now then. That'll be 10 galleons for the wand by itself, but we have some other products here, if you'd like anything else," Zeke said, gesturing to the shelves and price board.

Now, he gave his young customer another encouraging sort of smile-... which turned into a start of surprise at the... well. The... rat... situation.
As much as he did not want to show any amusement about the fact that the poor boy had seen fit to hide behind him, Zeke did need to suppress a smile about when he had a brief mental image of how that must appear from the street outside.
"It's okay," he said instead to the boy, re-lidding the unsuccessful wand and setting it to one side. There was a pause during which he considered doing some sort of spell to banish the rats, and was just trying to decide which would be the best option, when light started to break through again as the window gradually started to become less obscured. He turned to face the boy again, and continued in a tone even kinder than before. "It's perfectly alright. I've seen much worse. You're doing great. And so he beamed, at the gold mist, at the girl's awe, and he prepared to give his usual rundown of the wand's specifications and features, but trailed off before he even got started.
"Hmm," he said, giving them both - the customer and the wand, that is; sorry Grandma - a thoughtful look. "I would say all signs point to this being a match. I feel confident it's chosen you." And yet, he also appreciated the flipside, the disappointment. It was a big moment, after all. The biggest moment (in his totally unbiased opinion).
"Well, why don't you try this other wand too?" he said, opening up a second wand box so she could do just that. "In the name of being absolutely sure. You can see how it compares to the first." Thereby ensuring it was not a redundant practice.

Okay, so, a simplified version, but they didn't have time for all the ins and outs, and this wasn't really his moment either. "And my advice would be..." Huh. On the spot here, wasn't he? "... To trust in the process, and know that this is not a test for you to pass or fail. And that any wand that chooses you will do so because of the magical potential you'll have together." Technically three pieces, but never mind; there was important business to attend to now.
Aaaand... huh. Zeke considered the girl - Diamond - and the wand for a moment. "Usually people feel warmth, but I wouldn't say it's necessarily-" But at that moment, he clocked the cracking, the ice on the wand, on her fiNgErS-
At which point, he immediately reached out to pluck the wand from her hand, hoping that it wasn't, uh... frozen there yet. Zeke usually allowed the customers to put the wands back themselves, but, you know, safety issue. "A little too cold for my liking. Are you okay?" The icy fingers and all. Frostbite was not ideal. Also the wand. Was the wand okay? "Let's try another. This one's-"... giving you the cold shoulder. He held the joke back. See? Not embarrassing at all. "-likely not the one."
But he had more, and presented another wand for the testing.

Always good to hear. Always preferable when both wand and owner liked each other - though sometimes a little funny when a young customer immediately showed signs of butting heads with their matches, but only because he knew they'd eventually come around to each other.
"It is indeed. Very distinct, isn't it?" Oh yes, just like dogwood to stand out from the crowd. But on to the accessories, and Zeke wasted no time. He gave a small nod, moving around to where he kept some of the holsters. "They do, let me see if we still have..." he trailed off, rummaging around. It was a fairly popular choice, so there was always the danger they'd be all out, but... "Aha, yes. Rainbow. Some kids like to personalise theirs too, I hear." Zeke set it down on the counter, and rang it up along with the wand. "That'll be 13 galleons for both the wand and the holster," he said, turning back to the customer again with a smile.

Zeke took the first wand back, essentially exchanging it for the second option, though he kept one eye on the girl even as he neatly re-boxed it and set it aside for cleaning and returning to its place among its brethren on the shelves.
And... there it was. Genuinely pleased, Zeke smiled and nodded. "Absolutely it was. Unless I am very much mistaken, I'd say we have a match." Oh yes. No doubt, the wand had chosen her.
So, naturally, Zeke launched into the specifics. "This wand is eleven inches and three quarters of bendy willow, with a snidget feather core. It's a charming wood-" Okay, pun... not intended, but it was already out of his mouth, so. "These wands like to pick owners with great potential, those who have good intuition and are willing to work hard and do the right thing. Practically speaking, willow is well suited to healing spells, and divination magic, potioneers, and for water elemental magic. You'll find it's particularly suited for advanced non-verbal magic too, although it will be some time before you need to worry about that." Still, nice to know these things in advance, sometimes. "The snidget feather core makes it a very responsive, consistent wand, great for Charms and casting defensive spells. Also duelling, should that ever interest you."
Not too shabby, eh? With another smile, Zeke stepped towards his cash register, gesturing towards the shop's price board as he did so. "11 galleons for the wand itself, plus anything else you might be interested in today."

Her baby boy was at that age every magical child looked forward to. Peyton did her best to refrain from reaching for her son's hand like she used to when he was just a babe. He was now an independent little guy and liked to lead the way, so she let him.
Glancing over at her husband, she smiled, her emerald green eyes bright with happy tears. And maybe a little sad. It was normal to feel sad, she told herself. She loved all of her children equally, but she shared a special bond with her son, and it worried her that he will be so far away from home where he was safe.
Xavier Dos Santos led the way into the shop, holding the door open for both of his parents. From the permanent stoic expression on his face no one would know the tremendous love he had for them. They were the reason for him being here and the reason he wanted to grow up to be a powerful wizard just like his dad.
First, he needed a wand in order to accomplish that.
Having seen Serena get her wand a few years back, Xavier was prepared. He stood still, limbs positioned at the ready for the measuring tape to do its job. Pale green eyes watched its every move, making sure everything was properly done. Xavier wanted the best wand suited for him. He needed the best and most obedient wand there was.

It was that time of year again! Seth was beyond excited to join his son in this huge milestone. He may not seem excited on the outside, but internally he was proud and thrilled. Giving his wife a quick glance he gave her hand a gentle squeeze as she seemed like she needed the support. Seth was battling his inner paternal instinct to hold his son’s hand and keep him close. Having done this once before with his eldest Serena, he thought it’d get easier to let go but it wasn’t. In fact, his need to protect his young was even stronger ever since the Aguirre family were back on the scene again.
Taking a deep breath whilst keeping a close eye on Xavier he followed and held the door open for his wife once he went inside. Dang, that kid looked cute. Seth puffed his chest full of pride once Xavier prepared himself to be measured, without letting his guard down as he did a quick scan of their surroundings before turning all of his attention to his son.

It happened. Sometimes.
And you can call me Zeke; 'Ollivanders' is just the name of the shop. Now -" Zeke picked up another wand box, opened it up, and offered the contents of that one. "- Why don't you give this one a try?"
This was definitely not the kind of wand-matching that Yoji expected... or anything remotely close to what the older Mahoutokoro students told them. It didn't help that his dad refused to tell him how the process unfolded, not wanting to spoil the experience for him. Well, he definitely did not see what was coming. Yoji took a peek from where he stood and saw that things outside went back to normal fairly quickly.
He warily watched the first wand get stowed away in its box and went around the shopkeeper to continue his matching. Yoji gave him a slight bow out of respect and a bit of embarrassment, realizing he should have at least introduced himself first. "Thank you, Zeke...san." obviously he would need to work on calling people by their name without the honorifics that he was so used to back home, but, did he say he'd seen worse?
But before he could bombard the shopkeeper with a question, he looked at the other wand being offered to him, took a deep breath and almost flinched when his fingers touched the handle. Immediately he felt a sense of dread.
"I--" Yoji gasped as the wand flew out of his hand and stuck itself on the wall... quivering. The boy looked at his hand, wondering just how sentient wands were. "At least no rats this time, sir." Yoji bowed again at the shopkeeper, his ears turning red and stepped out of the man's way to retrieve the mismatched wand.

She got to keep it! Lally was relieved. She held the wand tightly, being careful not to accidentally wave it lest she make more magic. She had listened all the times she'd been told students couldn't do magic outside of Hogwarts, which meant her, now! "Wow," she said softly as the man explained all the qualities her wand would have. Non-verbal magic sounded super helpful for tracking down animals big and small. If she didn't have to speak to cast spells, the lizards (or other animals) wouldn't hear her and run away. Dueling...she wasn't so sure about. She'd have to ask Rosa and Dennis if dueling was any fun.
"Okay," Eulalia said, still processing all this. She looked over toward her parents, then remembered what they'd told her to get. "I am supposed to get the new wand owner bundle, the one...the one with the fake leather holster," she said, reciting near-exactly what her mother had described. Faux leather, because it wasn't made of animals. She dug in her pocket for the sixteen galleons she knew she would need, which her parents had given her while she waited in line. They wanted her to do this on her own, since she was going to be going away to school soon.

There wasn't anyway that Vesper couldn't like the wand that was in her hand. The color and streaks were so unique that she was sure no one else was going to have a wand like hers at Hogwarts. "Yessss! There's no way I will ever misplace my wand." How could she when it was pink! This was by far the most prettiest wand she had ever laid eyes on and she wasn't only thinking that because it was hers. Well, okay, maybe she was but she was.
Annnnnd things just keep getting better and better. Vesper's smile grew even more one rainbow wrist holster was set on the counter. "Lookit, Vera! He has one!" There was a brief moment of very excited bouncing on her toes as she set the wand down on the counter beside the holster so she could reach into her pocket for the coins she had resting in there. Pulling out the coins papa had given her earlier and counting out exactly what she needed, Vesper held out the 13 galleons. "Thank you!"

You know what she needed? She really needed a nice pocket notepad and one of those fancy Quick Quotes Quills. Mum and dad were still very hesitant about her having one of those (something about her already using their words against them or something or other) but she had been saving bits of her too humble to be legal allowance to purchase one for herself. If she earned it, they couldn't argue against her having it. Maybe she could bat a few eyelashes and plead with her brother to put a couple of coins towards the cause...
But, since she did not have one of those (yet!) she would just have to commit all this to her (awesome) memory and write it all down later. She was going to prepare her own little gazette for the Hogwarts Express to pass around to people and Head Hancho Wand Fellow may just make the front page if he played his cards right! Especially with the admission that he did, in FACT, have minions at his disposal. His story was, no offense, kind of boring and Diamond had been hoping for something a little more inspiring than ' I was lucky and just knew'. If she squinted sideways a bit she might be able to spin that into something more intriguing for the Carat Patch. "Trust the process...no pass or fail...unified magical potential," she repeated while unraveling one of her tiny slender fingers to count each anecdote.
Apparently her and the current wand in hand had the potential to cover the world in ice...and the cold did bother her (always) so she was relieved when he plucked the wand from her hand. It stung only a liiiiiiiiiittle since the cold and warmth of her hand were opposite forces and kind of stuck together a little bit. Not as bad as sticking your tongue against a frosted lamppost on a dare though. She had only been an observer in this, for the record. The one who had done the daring, certainly.
"Soooooo....what does that mean then? I mean...obviously other than we are not a proper fit since the wand was out to give me frostbite. Magic was still produced so it wasn't a total dud." She may not have any real interest in wand making (yet?) but she did want to know why this wand had not wanted to like and subscribe. "Feelings might be a little hurt by the rejection but I'm fine," Diamond replied as she cupped her hands against her mouth and blew on them gently to warm them back up a bit, though there was still a lingering icy chill to her palms that would need to be dealt with later over a warm cup of jasmine tea, before she considered the next wand offered for about half a second before snatching it up. "Not everyone is going to like you though and it is impossible to please everyone so you just got to grow thick skin and ignore the haters."
And you, whatever wand, had been an icy hater. Cold shoulder to the max.
The next wand did not feel cold in her hand. In fact, it didn't feel much of anything other than like a piece of wood in her hand for a couple of seconds before it began to....hum? Was her wand humming? There was some sort of sound or another, or maybe her ears were just ringing, and it was a rather pleasant kind of sound as well. A lukewarm sensation tickled her palm and sparkly music notes burst from the tip of the wand and circumnavigated while spinning and bouncing haphazardly about her and the Head Hancho Wand Fellow. Diamond giggled and reach forward with the wand to tap each holographic note as it floated in front of her, eliciting a note to her current wrock song obsession and song she threw herself an impromptu dance party to. "I think this is the one, Zeke. Can I call you Zeke? I already did but...is it cool that I do?"

Flo had figure that it would be different for everyone based on her observations over the summers. She had been hopeful that maybe the wandmaker would tell her what she should expect from her own wand fitting, but suppose even he cannot predict that. It's fine. At the same time, it had been nice to listen to the man talk, so she could hang onto every word he said and not focus on her own anxious thoughts. In response, Flo nodded. "What happened during your wand fitting, sir?" She hoped he could remember. He's not...that old, right?
When the first wand didn't work for her, Flo frowned ever so slightly and offered it back to the man, carefully dropping it into the box. So she wasn't a first wand wonder or something. Unfortunate. She took the second wand from its box just as carefully, inspecting it for a moment. Once she held it firmly in her hand, she felt the wand warm gradually within her grasp. Flo raised an eyebrow interestingly at the way it felt against the skin of her palm. It tingled.
"This one feels nice," Flo said, looking back at the wandmaker. Maybe it was this wand, right? Because, honestly, she was glad she didn't have to wave it and wait for something dramatic to happen. She'd rather not, even. This worked for her. Definitely. Absolutely.

She had continued pretending that she was just being fitted for a really complex costume, considering the sheer amount of different measurements the tape seemed to need. It was odd, but Wynter could handle odd. Better than some of the other kids who had been in front of her in the queue, anyway. She’d just taken to reciting lines in her head to distract herself, and as such had missed the parchment pestering the wandmaker.
However, she hadn’t missed his arrival, and she had given the man her best smile. As if she was posing for a photo, or anything else where she ought to try and be winning. “Sure”, she responded, eyes following the flourish with which the man had opened the first box. Dramatic, but then, she liked that aspect of things. She fancied herself a rather dramatic person as well.
As such, the instruction to give the wand handed to her a wave had been met with an equally dramatic flourish from her own wrist once she had taken it. Yes, there was every chance that could cause chaos, but if it did, that just meant the wand wasn’t right. Right? Except…all that happened was a soft glow, bluish in color like a twilight filter on stage lights. It felt…right. Like home. Well, her desired home, no offense meant to her family home. She liked that too, but she really liked this wand.
“Can I have this one?” Pretty please, and then they could discuss accessories. Something that befitted her status, of course.

Having just got done ringing up a particularly large purchase of wands and accessories - he did not envy those parents and/or guardians - Zeke turned his attention to the next customer. The parchment of measurements floated its way towards him, and he plucked it out of the air and perused what was written there.
A couple of minutes later, he approached this young boy, carrying with him two wand boxes - the most promising two options, though perhaps it was overconfident of him to assume it would be one or the other. As he smiled at the boy, he found he recognised him, though very, very vaguely. Not until he looked to the nearby couple - possibly the parents, as they seemingly had eyes only for him and each other - did he remember that he had seen them here before, for another wand fitting, probably several years ago now, given the haziness of the details in his memory.
"Hello, young man," Zeke addressed the boy, smiling as he set the two wand boxes he'd already collected on the nearby counter. "I have a couple of wands for you to try. Let's see how well you get on with this one first, hm?" he added, opening up the first box and offering its contents to his customer. "Give it a wave, and tell me if it feels right."

There he was, all ready to watch for the immediate signs of a successful or unsuccessful match, when the wand itself immediately took all the mystery out of the situation. Well. That was fair. Little too much of a kick in that one, perhaps, or perhaps the wood was just a touch too wilful. Good, good, it gave a good indication of what they could expect from the next.
He gave a small chuckle. "Yes, I think we can count that as a positive," he said, and busied himself with picked up the next wand box, as the boy had taken it upon himself to retrieve the second wand from the wall. Zeke did cast it a quick glance to ascertain any serious damage to the wand itself, but saw nothing to worry about. He readied its box for its return, and opened up the new wand box in his hands, for when his customer was ready to resume.
"Third time's a charm, as they say."

Call him an old softie at heart (and you may be right, at least sometimes, in some contexts) but Zeke found this sight - the relief, mostly - rather heartwarming. It really was such a nice sight to see his customers so pleased with their wands, and bonding so quickly.
But yes, the accessories. "New wand owner bundle... faux leather..." Zeke didn't really need to say it out loud to remember, but did often find it sometimes put customers at ease even just to murmur their request to himself as he went about sorting it, so they'd know he'd heard and understood. He retrieved the standard faux leather set, and bundled it all together to ring it up along with the wand. "Here we are then. That's 16 galleons altogether, please."

Zeke allowed himself a little chuckle at the girl's enthusiasm, feeling more sure by the moment that the wand had chosen the correct owner. But then, he hadn't yet known one to make a mistake - though some owners did not take kindly to them, and that did cause a slight conflict. Seemed there was no such danger here.
"You are very, very welcome," he said to his customer, taking the coins and counting them into the register, though not before picking up the wand that had been set down, and putting it safely back into its box. Of course she could take it back out again whenever she pleased, but for the moment he thought it safest to bundle it all together. "Good luck with that wand of yours. I'm sure you'll do great things together."

"Quite correct. It tells us we're on the right track; I suspect it was an issue with the core, in this case." Actually, he was near certain, and becoming more so with every moment. Aside from anything else, he was confident and adept in his profession, enough to get very close to the right match based on measurements alone. From there it became a case of eliminating the possibilities based on results.
"A very wise philosophy." Impressive. Would that most eleven year olds had such a perspective; many would surely be a lot more comfortable doing what they loved, or simply existing as their own selves. But there was no dwelling on that right now. His focus was on the wand fitting alone, and he broke into a wide grin when this wand made it clear that it had chosen its person. Very interesting. Very entertaining.
Zeke opened his mouth to speak, but Diamond beat him to it. "Yes, that's perfectly okay with me. And I agree. This is the one." So, was she ready? Because he had information for her, and a sneaking suspicion she would want to remember every word.
"This wand is eleven inches and two thirds of light fir, with a dragon heartstring core. Chinese Fireball, to be precise." So. Perhaps she might understand why he seemed to be trying to hold back a smile at that. How another core had resulted in a frosty reception, whereas the fire-breathing core - of the Fireball variety - had found itself right at home. Not that dragon heartstrings were noted for a propensity towards fire magic; it was just an interesting note. "Fir favours strong-minded and focused individuals, and magic-wise it's best suited for transfiguration spells, though that's not to say it can't perform well in other areas of magic. It's often observed that owners of fir wands are capable of great things, and make excellent leaders. Dragon heartstring is known to provide the wand's magic with a lot of oomph, nice and powerful, and as a core it lends to quickly mastering new spells. Very versatile. Because of the power it has, it may take more effort to master those fiddly, delicate spells. These wands also bond very closely to their owners." Which, in his totally unbiased opinion, was a very good thing.
"The wand by itself will be 10 galleons," Zeke said, moving towards his cash register so that he could ring the wand up. "Plus the price of anything else you're looking to buy." And now, of course, was another opportunity for questions. He suspected there may be a few.

Definitely. Absolutely.
"My wand fitting?" Zeke repeated, definitely not delaying the actual answering of the question. That part came next, in the pause during which he thought back to that time, a very conflicted time. It should have been happy, and yet the whole thing was tinged with... well. It was a time of transition. "It took a few tries to find a match. One gave me a shock, and flew out of my hand..." A little funny, considering the wand he eventually ended up with. "... another didn't perform any obvious magic, only gave me a bad feeling that didn't ease up until I handed it back. When my wand chose me, it caused a brief but strong sense of finding home ... plus it conjured up falling leaves, and the smell of the woods and pine needles." The wand itself had not been pine, but it was a scent he'd become extremely partial to.
Ahem. But enough about him. He'd only gone into detail, really, because his customer did seem like she could use as much information, perhaps as much reassurance, as he could provide, so there might be fewer surprises.
He watched closely, feeling that this was one of those customers whose initial signs of success might be more subtle, more restrained. At the raise of the eyebrow, he allowed a small smile.
"That's a very good sign," Zeke replied, considering girl and wand for a moment. After giving the two of them an appraising look, noting the subtlest signs that the two were at home with each other, he broke into a smile and gave a nod. Most significantly, he did not insist the wand be waved properly. "Yes; unless I'm very much mistaken, we have a match."
A doubly apt one too, given what he'd just been talking about.
"Your wand here is ten and a quarter inches of supple pine, with a hippogriff feather at the core. Pine makes for a very adaptable wand, very versatile. They are particularly suited to non-verbal magic - good to keep in mind for when you learn this in a few years - and generally to potions work, hexes, jinxes, curses, conjuration, and other transfiguration magic. It's a very reliable wand wood, too." And, from what else Zeke had come to learn and associated with pine owners - though he didn't necessarily like to assume with any degree of certainty - this one seemed like she may fit the bill. "That being said... Well, hippogriff cores also make for adaptable wands, though only when the wand is well-cared for. You'll need to treat it with respect, or risk spells backfiring. These cores don't like to perform dishonourably, either, and if it's forced to produce magic in such a way that it doesn't like - you should be able to sense if it's resistant to the idea - you'll find it will only perform sub-par magic from then on." A little daunting, Zeke knew, but it was an interesting combination, intriguing, one which almost seemed to keep itself balanced, in a way. Essentially, it all boiled down to hippogriff cores not being suited to bullies, and Zeke felt fairly sure this child was unlikely to be such a person. Although, again, he'd never assume his speculations to be fact.
He moved towards the cash register now. "9 galleons for just the wand, but we also have other products, if you're interested in accessories," he said, gesturing to the price board.

Zeke allowed himself a smile at the flourish which, he fancied, had mirrored his own in terms of theatricality, if not in exact style.
And... speaking of theatricality, huh. Well, wasn't that apt? Not to mention, what seemed like a perfect match on the first attempt. This suspicion was only confirmed in the next moment, when the girl declared her liking for it. Zeke beamed at her, and nodded. "Yes, absolutely." For money, of course. But the point was that he considered this a wand well matched. "Congratulations. The wand has chosen you."
Which meant he had some information for her. Zeke straightened, adjusting his waistcoat as he did so, before folding his hands in front of him. "This wand is twelve and a quarter inches of ebony, rather firm, with a knarl quill at the core." One of his favourites to look at, ebony; jet-black, attractive, stark, dramatic. "The wood is well-suited to defensive, protective magic, and the dispelling of dark magic. It can take some time to master an ebony wand, so you'll need to be willing to put in the time and effort, but it's a truly diverse tool, works well for all elemental magic and can be used for most any purpose." To its credit, yes, but that could also be a slight risk factor. Still, it wasn't up to him to say anything about how to use the wand - unless, of course, he was giving a heads up as to what it would not perform, or what might lessen its power. "For wands with a knarl quill core, disarming traps and unlocking locks are easy spells to master, as well as revealing spells, direction spells, and magic which illuminates your surroundings. Hexes are one of the most natural spell types for knarl quill core wands, and spells that confuse or disorient the target will be particularly strong." Good to know for prospective duellers, and... well, and plenty of other people, Zeke imagined. Or it was information that would seldom be relevant. Who knew?
He smiled again, and moved towards his cash register, ready to ring it up. "The wand by itself will be 11 galleons, and we have other products too, if you're interested in any of those," he said, nodding towards the price board.
