| Old Daily Prophet HQ Headquarters of the wizarding world's most popular news publication. Letters to the editor should be sent here by owl! |

| | Entrance and Waiting Area
A simple glass paneled door with a faded "Daily Prophet" sign opens into a sparse waiting area where visitors to the Prophet are expected to wait. A threadbare sofa that looks like it survived the great Goblin rebellion sits under a flickering lamp and looks completely uninviting.
From here visitors can see the journalists, editors, photographers and myriad assortment of Daily Prophet staff bustling about. The noise may be muted as there is a muffling charm cast on the area to protect the Daily Prophet secrets from possible Quibbler spies. In perfect harmony with the uninviting atmosphere is a small sign just above the sofa that says: Welcome to the Daily Prophet. |

Heh. Open floor plan or Getti's idea of constant surveillance? Ian Hoshino couldn't be sure. Hunter didn't want to walk into her new job with the wide-eyes of a wet-eared newbie, but she was allowing herself to be a little more slack-jawed than normal. Yes, fine, she'd had a desk before. But this was a proper news room. No spoiled debutantes whinging for diet cola. No color swatches and accessory carts. No pink in sight.
"It's good," she told Ian solemnly.

Cleaning? Ian? Heh. That was funny. |

Cleaning? Ian? Heh. That was funny. "One of those desks is already mine?" Hunter almost squeaked. None of them looked unoccupied, but she wasn't too proud to sit at someone else's desk until she was forcibly removed.
"Give me a hint."

Daphne Jones ran into the Daily Prophet Head Quarters. The slender girl, dressed in stylish work attire and wearing high heels, was totally out of breath. She was supposed to have arrived for her new job over an hour ago, but all the students in Diagon Alley had held her back. She wondered if she should wait here or if she should knock on one of the Editor's doors.
After a moment of deliberation, she decided to have a seat in the waiting area, and if no one came around, she would just slowly wander into the offices and look utterly baffled.

And from her office, yes, because the view was simply crystal clear, Sienna noticed this...woman, or...girl...whatever...sitting in the not-to-nice waiting area. Odd. They weren't expecting people to interview, were they? And, the girl didn't seem to bring any complains into the Prophet either, she didn't look the type.
That's why Sienna decided to walk straight to her, missing (or perhaps ignoring) whatever discussion Ian was having with a co-worker in the Journalists area. Why would she meddle in, when Ian enjoyed being pretending to be in charge of something. "Excuse me? Are you..." what was the word? "...waiting for something or someone?" oooooh, maybe that's what it was, this girl was probably waiting for someone to...what?...pick her up? Dressed like that? Yeah, probably not. Clearly, the visitor needed to move away from that awful couch. |

Clearly, the visitor needed to move away from that awful couch. Daphne immediately stood up as someone approached her. She automatically fixed her hair and made her sure clothing lay properly. Her right hand shot from her side to shake the hand of her greeter. It was exactly as her father had instructed her. After all, it was his contacts that helped secure this wonderful career opportunity.
Pushing her shoulders back and standing straight up, Daphne readied her introduction. "Hello I'm Daphne Jones," she stated, shaking hands with the woman. "I'm here to meet with..." she struggled to recall the name of the person she was supposed to meet. She had been so stressed out about being late, she forgot one of the most important details. "I'm to meet with one of the editors. I'm the junior editor of the Sports section," she recovered.

| Eagle Eye [⅓ Badger Trio] Felon & Kafka ♥ Gilderoy Lockhart <3 [TEAM 947!] Ooooh. Interesting. Daphne Jones. Perhaps Sienna was missing a memo in her desk, because she'd never heard about her. "Oh, well, nice to meet you Daphne" she said, extending her own hand towards the already-extended girl's hand and after one single shake she started to think about what Daphne said. One of the Editors. That had to be Enrico, because Sienna wasn't expecting anyone this week.
Wait. What? Sports Section editor? What happened to Sergio?! Er, well, he was not going to be deeply missed, maybe. "I think you were sent to speak with the Editor-In-Chief, Enrico Serio" she started to say, frowning a bit when she suddenly felt like a secretary, "I believe he's in his office right now...busy" secretary again, "But your timing couldn't be better, we'll be having a meeting in...ummm, well, when Enrico finishes whatever he's doing" did she want to know what he was talking about with the new Minister? Yes. Positively yes. "Feel free to walk into the Conference Room..." she said, pointing it out, "...there are already a few employees in there" Sienna nodded, noticing Egypt in the room. "We'll talk about your desk and responsibilities once the meeting is over....or perhaps during the meeting" was it her or did Sienna fail to introduce herself? "Oh, I'm sorry, I'm Sienna Knoll, Managing Editor" she smiled and looked back to her office, the Conference Room and then back to Daphne, "I'll be getting some things from my office, but you should go ahead and take a seat before the meeting starts" please, try to find a comfortable chair in the process. |

Daphne wished Enrico had filled in Sienna about her position, she felt like the wrong person to deliver this sort of news. But the Managing Editor didn't seem to mind all that much, and Daphne just stood her ground, exuding confidence, just like her father instructed her to do. He was talented at all things career and business related, after all.
But it was difficult to keep her composure when Sienna said there was a meeting. Daphne's heart raced; she had nothing to share, nothing to add to the paper at this point. What if they expected her to do a presentation? It felt as if she had a surprise exam at Hogwarts. Her mouth dried up. "See you there," she croaked, starting off to the conference room, her high heels clacking on the wood floor.
