What looks like a small room from the floorplan is actually a magically enlarged store for each and every single back issue the Daily Prophet has ever published. Unlike the rest of the office, this is one room which has been spared no expense and torches which have been charmed to not burn anything keeps the room lighted brighter than a house elf's teary eyes. The archives also holds scores of information on anybody who is anybody in the Wizarding World, which are constantly being updated by a charmed quill.

Awards and other signs of the Daily Prophet's achievements line the walls of the room in beautifully framed cases. No sound can be heard as a silencing spell has been cast around the room, so as not to disturb the charmed quills which record Merlin knows what all day and all night. For a room serving the purpose of holding newspaper issues dating back from the sixteenth century when the newspapers had been handwritten, the air in here smelled amazingly light and completely free of dust.

Entrance to the archives are to be recorded in the large tome which stands directly in front of the door on a burnished wood pedestal.

You are here.

No kidding this was her favorite place in the whole office. First, the silence was simply perfection, and it was all so neatly organized. Yes, Sienna had thought of moving her desk in here a couple of times. She was after all a Section Editor, and they needed to be distinguished from the rest of the workers.

By now all that separated them was, the pay, and maybe the amount of work. Oh, and those frivolous little gold things with their names on them. But, well, at least she had a place she actually enjoyed. And that was her home.

She sighed as she kept looking for that issue, Sienna knew that it was that same photograph the one that was published a few months ago, for she had seen it. "Ah-ha!" she said, as she found the early edition she was looking for.

She flipped her hair to her other side and left the room quite smugly, in the search for the not-too-searched-for Ian. The fabulous Ian.
