Northern Line of the London UndergroundThe abandoned stations along the Northern Line have been reclaimed for use by the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. It's dark down there!
The track bed between Cranley Gardens and Muswell Hill, though incomplete, has been modified to accommodate a main floor suitable for a working space. As a result of this you will find that each division of the MLE has set up shop in sections at intervals along this space. An assortment of second hand desks and chairs have been provided and small partitions help differentiate one division from another. Despite the length of the track, it's still rather cosy, so here's to hoping you enjoy a collaborative environment.
Parts of the space may be used for division meetings, simply pull up and chair and form a tight circle, alternatively the main floor also serves as a conference room. All Department wide meetings will happen here.

Simon looked between Emily and Blaise as he awaited the answer that was probably obvious. The security head seemed to be backing him up, even asking or rather claiming him as help as he spoke up. He's good...wow...the auror wasn't sure he expected that from the older man after just one real meeting. Regardless, Emily answered both their inquires/statements in one two-word phrase.
Josh spoke up about Edgeworth, the images presenting themselves in his mind were not pleasant. Though at least his friend wasn't presenting himself to another dark wizard to mutilate himself again. The other auror really had that annoying habit to test his limits. Like blaming the ministry trouble on the minister himself. If Emily hadn't silenced him with advice, Simon would have since false alligations without much evidence even without the suspect being your boss and the most powerful man in the ministry was an awful idea.
Jory spoke up volunteering for security, adding to the list that Blaise was no doubt already compiling if Simon's glancing at the note-taking was revealing anything. And the training Josh had suggested as well. Was there a way both could be compiled into one? Get the security help without running the YATI's ragged? An even balance of everything that would be useful for anyone to learn and improve upon.
And now charms assistance was asked on for working with A&C in finding out about their predicament and getting their way back in. Well he did do pretty well with his charms work so SImon supposed he could help, the auror adding the issue to his own list of growing jobs. Speaking of which Emily also mentioned the roles of departmental liaisons, the two they had obviously lost in the shuffle of the break. He already communicated with other departments or had in his patrols, likely doing it again once they squared those away. Maybe it was something to consider since he had the connection in place.
Right...meeting over.
Nope wait....charmed notebooks, cellphones, two-way mirrors and protean charms were being mentioned. Right, communication would be pivotal when all stretched out in Muggle London. Protean charms seemed the best bet, Simon would himself be thinking on the best ideas for that. They would likely need to have ways for messages to be both widespread and limited between groups of members.
Now with it finally over, Simon got up and pulled his chair closer to Blaise just as one of the newbies...Jackson did and introduced himself to his new boss. So the auror, being polite and respectful, meerly sat with his stomach leaning against the back of his chair with his arms crossed on top as he placed it down to patiently wait when he might be needed. Get the ball rolling and such.

Jackson was waiting for his Head of Security to address him when he noticed a young man pull up a chair next to his head. He turned to smile at the man in greeting.
"Hi. Are you a member of the Security team too? I apologize for my current ignorance right now. Being the newbie does have its temporary disadvantages. I'm Jackson, although I'm sure everyone in this room already knows that after my rather very conspicuous late appearance here," Jackson introduced himself even as he chuckled and stuck out his hand to shake the other man's.

Coordinated... lighting? Merlin, when would she learn to STOP being sarcastic around Emily? It got her in trouble during training last year, and now she was in charge of buying a couple of lamps for the place? Y'know what? She'd do it. Buy some lamps, maybe a lava lamp or two... maybe a strand of twinkly lights to wrap around Simon's chair.
"Is there a budget? Ma'am?" Genevieve slid off the edge of her desk and gave Emily a guileless smile. She would coordinate the hell out of the lighting.

Faces would be no problem, but that would come after he got their names.
He definitely would need to have a game plan though. Once they all had their maps of the area, it would make it easier. Then he would have to take into account each person's experience, and figure out who all would want to go where. Of course, with these YATIs, they would be eager to go wherever he wanted them to. Maybe they were a little too excited for it, but he appreciated how willing they were for everything. The younger girl had decorating to do, so maybe he would stick her here in the reception area. BUT he had time to figure that out later.
Referring back to his folder, he opened it and found his own map of the temporary Ministry. He scribbled down a few notes here and there, and eventually would take down names where he was placing people. Of course, he would be the one going around the whole darn temporary setup, checking on his people, and providing assistance where needed. He would get the older people placed where they felt most comfortable, and then put the YATIs where he wanted them and where they felt the best. Of course, he would check on them more than anyone else.
And she was going to do that lighting project... but that didn't mean she couldn't report for duty. Genevieve crossed the few feet from her desk perch to the new Head of Security, offering a hand to the man as she approached. "Genevieve Branxton reporting for duty, sir. Are we patrolling all of the department locations, or are we limited to MLE right now? And who is watching the Ministry building proper?"
"Anyone interested in Security who has not already done so, please meet me over here," Blaise announced to the rest of the room. Luckily, his voice carried well in the damp, weird environment, so he didn't feel like he was yelling that bad.
Hopefully the rest of the people will come over now, so he could get this over with.

Just the thought alone of trying to operate a cell phone nearly caused Anna's heart to plunge to her toes. "...and I'm game for the training, too. I've been anxious to branch out anyway."

It would happen, she wasn't against it, but they had enough to do for the time being. It was a time management and logistics thing.
Talk of communication was of interest, good beans this kids were. Never mind that save for Escalante, they weren't kids at all. Ahem. "For consistencies sake we should look at a single method, personally I favour the protean charm, keep it to small inconspicuous objects -- such as a note pad, and we're set." Two way mirrors, she wasn't a fan... more so of the mirror part. Hardly necessary to see the face of the person or people you were communicating with.

They probably knew of this stuff anyway. Josh was no expert of charms, he favoured offensive spells.
At least people were taking to his idea of communication ideas. Blaise pondered for a moment at the thought of a cell phone, because he hadn't thought about that one. Muggles really wouldn't notice anything different, but the spells and enchantments around everything was really questionable. Even charming a cell phone might not work out the way they wanted it to.
A mirror would also cause a problem. Not only would a man holding a mirror look - really, really odd - but if a Muggle saw it and paid enough attention, well. That would just be too much attention, and he wasn't about to fill out paperwork for Obliviating someone's memory because they had seen too much.
"If there weren't so many spells and enchantments around here, the cell phone would pass off," he said. "And considering how spread out we are, it was a good idea. Unless there was a way to find old cell phones that don't work, and charm them. But that seems like a lot of work." Which is why he had suggested paper. That would fit in the pocket just as easily as a phone. "Not to mention some of us may not be able to operate it."
He would be one of those people.
"A mirror may also cause problems, especially if a Muggle so just happened to take a look. I don't want to risk that." He really didn't, plus he didn't want to look feminine by carrying a mirror around. Um hello, he was a single man here. Picking up ladies with a mirror? That would turn them away. NEXT.
That's when he focused more on the man who suggested the cell phone. His knowledge of charms and Emily's enthusiasm about it made him feel more confident in the lad. Kennedy, was that his name?
"If we were to use the small notebooks, and pens, would you be able to do the charms?" he asked. "I'll help if you need it."

The meeting was over? Jackson was glad that he had made it when he did. He looked around. Where was he supposed to be seating? Jackson got up and approached the man that looked like he was the Head of Security
"I'm sorry to interrupt but do you have a specific place I should be working at? From what the Department Head said, it looks like I need to familiarize myself with this place as fast possible," Jackson asked eager to start his patrolling duties.
....and he had forgotten to introduce himself.
"...and my name is Jackson McQueen," he smiled in greeting.
Blaise turned from his folder when a voice appeared next to him. He put his pen down and looked up at the younger man. He was pretty sure that this was one of his actual security officers, so when he said his name Blaise had to flip on his photographic memory.
"Nice to meet you Jackson. We'll get to that in a minute," he said, looking back down at the desk he had been sitting on. Luckily, there were maps that Emily had said would be out, so he picked one up and handed it to Jackson. "Here's a rough map of the area. Look over it for now. I know you're new here, so I'm going to speak with all of you in a minute about where you feel comfortable working. If I have enough people you may only have to work around one department. If not, they'll be close, and if we can work this notepad charm thing out, it'll make it easier."

Blaise watched Simon come over and make himself comfy over here. For now, it seemed as if Simon would be his right hand man, especially since he was already accustomed to working Security.
Well, maybe not in this aspect, since you know, they weren't even at the Ministry right now.
So, waiting for more people, he leaned back against the desk with his folder open and maps sitting beside it. He watched as the blonde girl yelling about rats approached him, and she actually held out her hand.
"Nice to meet you Miss Branxton," he said, returning her handshake. "And yes, we are patrolling all of the departments, including our own reception area." He turned back to the desk he made himself comfortable at, grabbed another map, and handed it to her as well. "Look over this for now. Once we have everyone together we can discuss it further. Interested?! Are you kidding? Heck yeah! Though this place wasn't particularly ideal to what Johnathan originally had in mind. The struggle is real.
John walked over towards where Blaise had instructed, bravery radiating off his body. "Hi, I'm John." Confidence was through the roof! He was strong enough to acknowledge the pros and cons of his new security job.
Well at least it beast cleaning off waste from the building.
There were so many people here already, ideas floating around the room. Kennedy being majestical as always.
Blending in with muggles wouldn't be difficult for this young lad. He's been around muggles all his life, even worked among them.
Now time to get busy. There's more that meets the eye, to this man.

It was not going to kill them. And pain was no excuse to stop anyway. Feeling pain meant they were alive. No physical weakness was accepted in this Auror's book.
After giving Jory a half smile, Josh turned to Emily when she started to speak. Edgeworth fun was not necessary? Well...that was disappointing...maybe a little bit. Eh...then he would not use the annoying guy for decoration then, if Emily thought he was not supposed to do that. And apparently he was supposed to keep his ideas about Ministry leaders to himself. Josh could understand that. They were heads of the Ministry and he was just an employee way below them in the hierarchy of employees. They could easily get rid of him. "Yes, boss lady." he said. Maybe he could find another way to deal with that.
About the toothbrush, Josh tried not to laugh. Of course, she would want a different toothbrush. He did not think anything of the first toothbrush would be left once he was done with his puddle of urine anyway. He nodded, slightly smirking. Oh...it was no mischievous smirk, he was just trying not to laugh in the middle of the meeting. More...talk to Blaise. That he was going to do so he nodded again. "Will do." And...oh the training. So the boss lady liked the idea. That was cool. Josh smiled "It would be a pleasure for me." he said and yes, it would really be a pleasure for him.
Being a liaison. Hmmm...that sounded like a boring job. Josh Carter was a 'Let's act and kick some bad bums' kind of a guy however being a liaison would apparently give him an access to the Minister's Office and give him the opportunity to being in touch with other leaders as well. Soooo...that did not look bad. He could use this. The Auror made a mental note of considering if he was going to apply for the position.

Satisfied that they were on the right track with establishing communications, Emily took a step back, simply supervising their progress. Once plans were hatched out and they were on their merry way, then she'd get back to her other work. She did though give Branxton a look. Budget? For the brilliantly time consuming lighting idea she suggested... "I didn't think light fingers and careful charms work required a budget..." just the way she saw it. There would be something public the girl could salvage. Where was Odessa? Her fingers were light enough to be of service.
"I'll take first look at the Ministers Office," Emily supplied, knowing full well she'd have to beat the idea of security into Gavin's pretty head if she had to. She would get her way, and from what she'd heard of the place, they could do with being wrapped in cotton wool for their own safety if not for those that lived in their space. And people thought the underground was bad, pffffttt... they had it made. Really.

It was her first day of work and she was a little perplexed by what exactly she could be doing. She wasn't thrilled about the prospect of decorating like some of them had proposed. She wasn't an interior decorator, she liked things simple and if this was only temporary, was there really much point in concentrating their efforts on painting walls when there was work to be done?
Noticing that one of the newbies had made a silent retreat, Emily followed. The circumstances they found themselves in were not ideal, and as a result proper case work was limited. Poor timing for new hires, no?
"Can I be of assistance?" she asked upon approach. Did the woman understand how she could help at this stage? Or was she floundering slightly? Emily's expression was friendly, though indifferent. She was merely checking in and being helpful, it was expected of her. "I understand this wasn't what you were expecting..."

Despite his protest and the side rubbing, Emily returned Vic's smile. Everything was fine, he was just being a big baby. Go figure the Director of Prosecutions couldn't rough it with them without getting his knickers in a knot. HA! "Would you prefer to operate from my office? I'd say it's a modest step up from this hole," she mused, more than happy to relinquish her claim to the dead end a little way away. She'd be able to watch people better from here anyway, and had no real intention to use the space she'd designated for herself.
Of course, Vic, being as modest as he was, would likely decline her offer. Not that she cared. It was there, she meant it, she tried. His second thought though, well, that was an excellent question. "Nothing we can do," she replied, honestly. "We'll just have to pick things up where we left off once we're back in. By all means, you're welcome to coordinate a group effort to think up ways to get back in. I know A&C would appreciate the extra hands.." and brains. It wasn't as if they had a great deal to do of their own case work. Honestly though, if they didn't make any headway in the next month, she'd go and blast through the damn wall herself.

Really.

It looked simple enough as he counted the number of buildings each department was now currently housed in. He made a mental note to himself to check out each building to familiarize himself with the geography of each area.
But for now, he waited patiently to hear what his Security Head had to say.
As Emily acknowledged her plans to start off at the Minister's Office, Blaise nodded his head. "Let me know when we have the OK to move on. I figured you and I could rotate between there." But he would have to be seen waaaay less than Emily. Oh well.
That's when he turned to see another young man approach him, and it seemed like his chest was puffed out slightly. He definitely seemed to be ready for this, which was good, and also very eager. Maybe too eager? Meh. Better to be on board with it all than to complain like some of these people were. Blaise nodded his head at the man. "Nice to meet you John. Are you one of my people, or a volunteer?"
Now was when he had to start making decisions. He looked at everyone he had out in front of him, mentally taking notes about their age and what experience they may have. It really was up to him to put them wherever he wanted, but they also had to be comfortable where they were all at as well. There was no use putting someone in a place they wouldn't function well, or get bored with easily.
"First off," he said. "I need a volunteer to go fetch small notepads for each one of us while we settle who is going to patrol where. Then, if you are good at Charms, please assist us in doing the Protean Charm - " or whatever it was called, all he knew was that he could do it " - so we are able to communicate properly between each other and to report anything suspicious. I will give you Muggle currency in order to do so. Also, don't forget the pens. We also need to charm them." Could they charm them so that messages can only go to one person and not everyone? Okay, maybe he wasn't so sure about him doing the spell. It had been so long since he needed to do something like that, and he didn't want to risk messing it up.
"Second," he said. "I need you to inform me of where you are most comfortable working - if you know this place at all, what specifics you know, or what you don't. If you don't have any idea about any of this, I'll assign you to a place." He turned to face everyone around him more with maps in hand, holding them out. "Please look over this map and tell me what you think would work best for you. Also please note I WILL be rotating people around, so don't get too comfy where you are at, because it will most likely not be permanent and some of you may not be working with me for long. Depending on where you are, you also may have to cover more than one area."
He waited a few moments while everyone looked over a map (or that's what they SHOULD be doing anyway) and also looked down at his own. He would have no problem going around everything because he was fast, and easily unseen. His main focus would be on the Minister's Office and checking on how everyone else was doing. Later on he would have to schedule training for people who would be with him the most, but there was time for that later.
"Third," he began again, looking back up. "My main priority will be around the Minister's Office. Actually, Emily and I will be the main ones there. However, I will be checking in on all of you. You may or may not see me, it depends on how things are that day. You need to be constantly aware, constantly observing the area around you. I do understand it is hard because it is a new area, and an unusual one, but we are Law Enforcement. We can handle whatever is thrown our way."
He glanced around at everyone once more. What had meant to just be a statement really turned into a pep talk at the end. Blaise had a knack for things like that. It was easier to work with people who were somewhat excited for what they were about to do, and it was up to him to help them out and work easier, and better as a team.
Toothless - Napoleon of Crime - Gryffinclaw - Owl Emissary - Pirate Auror - DoctorDonna
Simon paid attention to who joined the little group, even noticing as Emily approached them to take part in the discussion of the security measures. It seemed just about everyone was either security themselves or willing to take part regardless and volunteering. Good to know there was that willingness. Unless of course they were either afraid of Emily getting them back or just wanting not to be board. Soon enough Blaise spoke up, letting them all know what was going on and roughly how they would be doing things.
He would leave the fetching for one of the others, perhaps a YATI given it was an easy enough task and he always remembered the other members liking to give fetching tasks to the trainees. The auror though taking one of the offered maps and looking it over carefully. Each space given over to the various ministry departments roughly included on the marked up parchment.
He shook his head at the request for questions. Those Simon didn't have, though answers to the previous questions he did. "None of the places sticks out as the most comfortable for me. So I'm pretty open." Not like he was going to play favorites now when they would be moving around anyway. Not to mention the descriptions didn't really give everything to them. "Though if you need someone for say Mysteries and their secrets or ...ecentricities, they didn't seem to mind me much when I was doing patrols there in-house." As in the real ministry building. He could be discrete like they seemed to prefer it.
In fact the only one who had been a pain about him and his security patrols had been Gavin, the senior undersecretary on Level One which wouldn't be a problem given the arrangements Blaise...and Emily...already had there. They could handle him.
Despite his protest and the side rubbing, Emily returned Vic's smile. Everything was fine, he was just being a big baby. Go figure the Director of Prosecutions couldn't rough it with them without getting his knickers in a knot. HA! "Would you prefer to operate from my office? It wasn't as if they had a great deal to do of their own case work. Honestly though, if they didn't make any headway in the next month, she'd go and blast through the damn wall herself.
Vic chuckled appreciating her offer even though he knew she knew he would never relocate to her office just because this was too gloomy for him. He wasn't going to be a baby. "Thank you, though. But painting some of those tunnel walls should enhance it." A little. He rubbed his neck and considered her suggestion about helping the other department. He was almost useless in here without his files and paperwork. "I will swing by tomorrow and see if I'm any help to them." That training session was really no use to him. So something else would be swell.
He looked at the security bunch, the new head of security and his speech were really moving. Vic leaned closer to Emily and whispered, "Are we at war?" He kept his eyes on the man then spoke louder, and more seriously. "He's quite the catch." The man didn't trip on his words on his first day at work, especially since he'd just given a darn good speech. Where did she get him from? Did this look fishy to everyone else? They happened to have an over-confident head of security the day the ministry got locked up? Well, not the same day but during the same period of time.
Oh yes, this was fun. Vic was going to personally track the man's records and background. Consider him on a special secret mission.

Though Emily had taken a few paces away from the group, she was still attentive to their progress, her eyes on Blaise half the time. He had certainly blossomed in his time away, she couldn't deny that. Her confidence in him was growing as he displayed his comfort and slipped into the leadership role with ease.
The only thing she would question, was why he bothered asking them for their opinions instead of delegating locations. But, this was his show now, she certainly did't want to take back the responsibility of heading up two divisions and running the department as a whole, that had been exhaustive to say the least. It was a wonder she still had hair. "There are some notebooks and other supplies in the evidence and forensics hub further down," she interjected, in case they wanted to know. They had limited supplies, but running around muggle London wouldn't be necessary.
Other than that, Emily was content with keeping quiet, simple observing the group dynamics.

Good. He was laughing, even if only slightly. Gloomy Vic made for even gloomier Emily. He was usually the life of the Department, so naturally he wasn't allowed to despair. In fact, hadn't she snuck it into his contract? ... because if not, then she probably should have. Emily shrugged, "Suit yourself, but if I see you moping around again, I'll have to give you a written warning for cramping my style." Did he see what she did there? Exercising her authority over him, yep, because she could, despite him being older, more experienced, taller and all that jazz. It was friendly banter, he was perhaps one of the few she could joke with and know she wouldn't be taken seriously. Still it pleased her to hear he'd consider schmoozing with the other Departments. He was bright, his perspective on things would be appreciated, not to mention it would get him out of their gloomy hole in the ground, since he disliked it so much.
It came as no surprise to her that she wasn't the only one observing Blaise lead the Security peeps. It was somewhat enthralling. Emily, sensing Vic's nearing presence, leant her head in closer to his to hear his whisper, a smirk forming on her lips. "Perhaps," she spoke softly in return. The prospect of war didn't faze her, and in fact, it was rather amusing. But Vic's next comment had her turning her head.

Say what?
He's quite the catch???
Emily refused to read too much into that comment, merely nodding as if from a professional point of view. Because it's clearly what he meant. Professional. Nothing more. "He worked Security when I was a YATI," she informed, her voice still low enough for Vic to hear, but not the others. "So I'm familiar with the way he works."

Jory wasn't familiar with this place so it didn't matter to him where he was assigned. Besides, if they were going to be rotated, it also made sense not to suggest somewhere he wanted to be stationed. So, anywhere will do for him.
"I won't mind where I'm stationed,'' the YATI told Blaise. As long as he got back to work & training. And as for questions...Jory had none of those right now,

"Yeah. I'm one of your people." If that meant he was part of the Security team.
As far as the map goes, John had great photographic memory of what he'd seen on the map and was fairly well aware of where everything was situated. Having experience in the law enforcement field (muggle kind, of course) he was always a step ahead.
"Is anyone gonna patrol the specialty area?" John had a quick question, random but good question. "Aside from that, I can patrol wherever it's needed." He added. You definitely want a Johnathan Walker on your team, after all once a Gryffindor always a Gryffindor.
'Course he can help with potion making, however that wasn't quite his forte. Therefore he didn't mention anything regarding that.

Like some of his fellow co-workers, Jackson didn't have a preference as to where he was assigned. He had learned to adapt over the years and he knew that he would adapt wherever he was assigned.
"I don't have a preference either. Feel free to stick me where you think I'll be most needed," Jackson told his Security Head.

Legitimate papers led Vic's life, this was a known fact in this department. They had their paranoia cautious nature, he had his papers. However, he crossed his heart for her, "I promise not to mope on work hours, though."
Emily didn't give out any suspicious signs for him to read after his comment, Vic kept his eyes on Blaise with the security people and nodded at Emily. "Uh-huh. So, he came back. Do you know where he was? Why he came back?" Seriously? It didn't look suspicious to her that the man came back and claimed the head of security NOW? Merlin, he had to be the one to think about everything. Questioning people was becoming a necessity the more he thought about it.

And would you lookit that... neither of them had a preference. Go figure. How dull.. and a waste of time in saying so. Emily continued to watch the security group with great interest, keen to see how smoothly they would mesh or bond or gel or... however you wanted to describe it. Time was something they had little of, despite the rest of the department essentially having ample time. Good luck to them, they'd figure it out. Clock work. Clock work. It's what she expected.

Not on his contract, blah blah blah. "Well it ought to be," she interjected smoothly - convinced of this fact. But alas, he was perking up, all cheerful and laughing again, so she had to have done something right. His pledge to refrain from moping during work hours only confirmed her success. "Excellent, though I think you should extend that to any hour in which you are in my presence..." yes? because she didn't want to see him moping, full stop. It was very unbecoming of him, smiles looked much nicer on his face.
Emily nodded her response. She did know. Both where he was and why he came back... or at least, part of why he came back. Their conversations were still a little hazy, mostly focusing on why he had left in the first place, and what he had done in his absence. Still, she knew the essentials. "I do," she confirmed after her silent contemplation. She supposed Vic expected more by way of answers than she was providing, but she wasn't much in the mood for sharing. "Make him feel welcome, yeah?" she added as an after thought, because oddly enough the two of them were perhaps the two she trusted most in the Department.
As everyone considered what he had suggested Kennedy, dug inside his robes pocket and brought a pocket-sized notebook. He'd bought it just for first day of work notes. Votes were leaning more toward the Protean Charm. Looking up at Blaise Carlisle (yeah?) after he finished talking, he grinned respectfully and waved his tiny note-book.
"I have a notebook I can duplicate, then charm it, if that's all right?" He glanced at Emily's direction as well for approval. That good?

Unfolding her arms, Emily gave Escalante an approving nod. "Go for it." Anything to get the show on the road, points to him for coming to work prepared. Fun fun.
As much as she appreciated Blaise's democratic and collaborative approach to his work, the fact that people didn't have preferences were getting them nowhere fast. It was time to step in and delegate tasks, or else there'd be a security breach before they could set foot out of the underground. Something she wanted to avoid.
Stepping toward the group again, she gave Blaise a considerate smile, "May I?" she asked, though she didn't reply before continuing to address the group. She did what needed to be done. Onward and upward and all that jazz... "Alright, no point wasting time. Kennedy get started on those note books, I'll have you check out IMC when you're done... Simon since you're familiar with Mysteries you take them, Josh I want you on A&C, Jackson at Enviro, Vivi check on Creatures, Johnathan I'd like you to pay a visit to Specialty's, Jory you take Transportation, Blaise if it's alright with you I'll take the Ministers Office first and you can get acquainted with Games and Sports... my understanding is they'll need event security soon so it's the perfect opportunity for you to get a handle on that." Her instructions were accompanied by a look and nod to each of them. They understood their duties, right?
A quick look over her shoulder and projecting her last directive, Emily added, "As for our own local will be covered by all. No exceptions, be vigilant, ensure someone is available to assist Muriel at all times." Not that the woman couldn't handle her own, but she was a darling and the work she did was too valuable to be interrupted by nosy undesirables that did not belong down here.
"Check their perimeters, the measures they have in place to deter muggles and any concealment charms on the place. Check to see if they have any concerns or have noticed anything out of the ordinary and so forth ... Any last questions?" she asked, though of course they'd need to wait for Escalante to do that schnazzy notebook Protean Charm thing.
OOC: Feel free to start posting at your assigned levels. People who did not volunteer but would like to get involved feel free to team up with someone, and don't forget our level needs a presence too. Play with other level peeps and explore the dodgy new locations! Have any queries, drop me a line!
It didn't surprise him one bit that Emily decided to go ahead and assign people to their areas. He had started to formulate people out and where to put them, and his choices were similar if not exact to her own. All he could do was put his hands in his pockets, and listen to her take over. No wonder she got the position.
Bossy britches.
"Kennedy, when you're done, send me your Patronus so I can pick them up and distribute them," he said, referring to the notebooks. "Or you can come find me at the Hangar where Games and Sports is located." He pointed to the map where he would be at, just to make sure the man understood what he meant.
That's when he smiled slightly at the comment about her taking the Minister's Office. She could have it all she wanted. It's not like anyone else wanted to be around there anyway, especially with Gavin being all strung out and high maintenance. That man was interesting though, that's for sure.
"Like I said, I'll be checking up on you all," Blaise announced to the rest of the workers. "If anything seems out of place, odd, or just wrong, make note of it and tell Emily or myself. We'll be there when we can."

People were being assigned jobs left and right, and truth be told, Anna had NO IDEA which job she was expected to do. Nobody has really called out her name for anything in particular, and there wasn't really anything her division had been asked to specifically work on. She should really speak up and volunteer for something specific.
She was standing by the Carlisle man, so she glanced over and said, "If you need anybody else on the Security team, I'm in," she said. "My husband's head of Transportation, so I'd be game to go there. Unless you need me more here." She knew somebody had already been assigned to Transportation, but really, she was just in a 'point me in the direction you need me in most' kind of mood.
Although, it would be kind of amusing to stand guard over her husband's department.

Well what do you know.
Kennedy had stepped up with the ultimate idea for their message conveyence. A nice little notebook for them to use on their rounds and such through the use of a protean charm. That would certainly work within the realms of the muggle world. Just as long as the messages were done in a regular pen of course. One would hope those using them had the sense to do so but Simon wasn't going to worry about it.
Emily was moving on, taking the job of placement from Blaise as she further spoke up. The auror glanced between them but at least it appeared the security man was fine with it which was good. He didn't fathom liking being caught between the new guy and the department head, especially since he was actually liking the security man. Listening to the assignments given out, Simon simply nodded in understanding to his own. He had suggested it himself as an option so there was no surprise in being given Mysteries. A quick glance at the map they had been given showed him to new location and the rough idea of how to get there. He then shook his head with no real questions as the instructions had been clear enough.
Given that Blaise had spoken of distributing the charmed notebooks himself, he took it as fact that he didn't have to stick around. Fine by him as he was itching to get back to work work. "And with that, I take my leave," Simon said, swing his leg slightly to get up from his backward chair. The auror returning it to it's rightful place. "As long as there is nothing else."
Please say no.

At Emily's 'go' Kennedy immediately set on to duplicating the notebook multiple times, while keeping an ear for whatever was being discussed. He'd been set at IMC - Karmen's old department, but thank goodness the loon wasn't at the Ministry any longer. What a save that was.
When Blaise addressed him, Kennedy was on the start of casting the Protean Charm on the notebooks. Pausing, he glanced up at the man.
"Will do, it shouldn't take long," he replied.
He'd been taught certain things since he became of age, all thanks to his father, Charms being one of them. He concentrated back on the notebooks. It was a relief that throughout the years he's learned to concentrate even if there were things going around him. YATI training was THE best.
As the others interacted, Kennedy finished a few of the notebooks. "I've done several in case you'd like to start handing them out," he said, speaking specifically to Emily and Blaise.
It was up to them how they wanted to distribute them, though he'd make sure Johnathan got one. No brother left behind; Bro Code. After his little announcement he went back to work, charming one notebook after the other.
"Alright." Alright, time get to business! After being assigned the Specialty Area, he waited till the conversations simmered down a bit.
Glancing over at Kennedy and giving him a light nod, he wondered how they were going distribute the notebooks. Aside from that there was no time to waste, time to begin with the job he was assigned.
"I'll see ya' later, Bro." He lightly tapped Kennedy's shoulder before heading out. There was so much adrenaline and thrill running through Johnathan, the idea that he was involved in all of all this was amazing.
