On the quiet North End of the Street lies a vibrant storefront polished to its finest where you enter a world of brooms, bludgers, snitches and much more. Displayed at the window of Quality Quidditch Supplies is the latest released broom. As you enter the shop, the shelves and displays are the first thing you notice, neatly stacked with other brooms, team posters and robes galore.
Between the side walls there are shelves filled with various Quidditch supplies and goods. Following the displays of brooms and the like, towards the back you see another section of displays, not of brooms, but the side walls of the shop are neatly stacked with broom accessories, sports equipments and matching merchandise for support. Feel free to stroll along and find what you need to aid you in your game play. Lastly, the back wall displays books and other reading materials, all to do with Quidditch and Broomology of course.
Towards the back you see another section of displays with little knick-knacks and toys perfect for all ages. Only our most privileged customers are permitted to enter the back room of the shop. Here we hold unique items and remaining stock of items that cannot fit on the displays or are in need of refurbishing. At the very back is a door to a room where the shopkeeper does his admin work. Once you've found and decided on the goods you wish to purchase, you may bring them along your way towards the counter found towards the back of the shop. The shopkeeper may seem busy, but that won't stop him from assisting anyone.

Unknowingly saved from aggressive pigtails, Nadia found herself looking at her companion as she turned to her. The young Gryffindor smiling at the other girl’s words. Quidditch is always interesting. Someone after her own heart. Though she might have supposed that you would likely be a fan of quidditch to spend more than a brief period time within the shop’s walls. “I go for Quidditch Times…” she mused after briefly glancing over the offerings, picking up the latest issue of said periodical.
Seeker….but not a seeker.
“Me neither…As much as I like excitement, I’m not sure I could deal with THAT much pressure.” The whole outcome of a game could be determined by that tiny little snitch and the luck or absence of managing to snatch it out of the sky ahead of the other team’s equivalent player.

Excitement, pressure...Sophia nodded in agreement. "I'd rather be one of the positions where Quidditch is really a team sport," she added, picking up a recent copy of Wizarding Sports Programming Magazine and skimming its contents. "Like maybe beater, where you get to work with a buddy." Or chaser, she wasn't going to rule out chaser. She did enjoy playing catch on broomstick.
At her yearmate's suggestion, Soph picked up a copy of Quidditch Times, too. For comparison purposes. Squinting a little, she held the two magazines side by side to see which was thicker this week. "Do you have a position you like?" she asked casually.

Makes you feel like you’re actually playing a team sport. “Right…that too.” A quidditch team had seven regular players and assorted reserves…they all were important at any given time, and it was more fun to work together. More rewarding too if she thought about it. Your team was your group. “Beater’s good,” Nadia remarked in agreement with a nod of her head. You got to hit things as a bonus while defending your teammates.
As for her preferred position…her idea on what she would try for WHEN she got the chance to play…Nadia had to consider them for a moment or two before finally answering. “Chaser I think.” Racing around the pitch, trying to avoid being caught, blocked or hit while playing keep away with the other team. Sign her up!

A future chaser? Sophia thought that was pretty cool, and said so. "That's cool!" she said. "My cousin's a chaser. He's old, though." Not old old, but significantly older than her. The best she got was tickets to matches, if she got her older brother or sister to ask.
She put down the Seeker Weekly and clutched the Quidditch Times to her. "Well, I'm going to get this one," she finally decided. "I'll see you at school, probably?" She suddenly realized she didn't know the other girl's name. "I'm Sophia, by the way."

Her eyes lit up at the girl’s mention of her cousin. “Now that’s cool too,” Nadia remarked, echoing her companion’s choice of descriptor. Even more cool in the Gryffindor’s eyes then her own interest. The cousin was living the dream that she hadn’t yet managed, certainly not at the professional level.
So, they would be two peas in a pod then, her own copy of the edition still within her grasp. “Well I’ll definitely be around.” So there was certainly a chance of running into each other, especially since they were around the same age and thus in classes together. “Nice to meet you…I’m Nadia,” she said, returning the greeting they had nearly forgotten about in their talk of quidditch.

Priorities…duh!
Sophia grinned. All she'd wanted today was a magazine, but it seemed she'd found a new Quidditch buddy too. "Nadia, got it!"
Well. She gave a little wave before heading off to actually purchase her magazine. "See ya!"
While the team's management was really good about having everything the players could possibly need available, generally from sponsorships here and there from different sporting brands, Tins always felt like there was nothing that beat picking out your own equipment and the satisfaction of buying it with your own hard earned money. She knew it was not a popular opinion to spend money unnecessarily, but considering she didn't have too much need of it otherwise... what did it matter?
Pushing her way into Quality Quidditch supplies, the reserve player immediately made her way over towards the section of gloves - scanning through the stock shelves and looking for a pair that she liked the look of. She settled every once in awhile with one that didn't look exactly like her ~vibe~ just to feel if it did. Not too much luck yet, but good news is she was in no rush for the day so she had alllll the time in the world. The girl reached out and grabbed another, slipping her hand into the leather and giving it a couple flexes.

Nope, not perfect yet.
The off-season was the perfect time to visit her brothers at their flat/her old flat, but they boys still worked year-round, which left Margaret with free time...great for doing some shopping. She didn't need anything in particular, but there was always something useful to find in Quality Quidditch Supplies.
Including, apparently, former teammates. "Hi Tinsley," Margaret said brightly from the end of the gloves section. She picked up a pair of keeper gloves and aimlessly traced the seams with a fingertip. "How's it going?" Having not been in town much since she'd transferred to the Quafflepunchers, she was hoping the seeker would have some team gossip to share.

Research, boredom, or a little bit of both? It really could be any of the three depending on what moment of the day one asked Diamond Marchbanks why she was in Quality Quidditch Supplies on this entirely too warm summer's day. Or just maybe it was option four and she had slipped into the shop because its door had been the closest and she needed less direct sunlight and a cooler atmosphere? Not even the Gryffindor was entirely certain as she haphazardly considered the displays of quidditch goggles and gloves as if they were runespoors ready to strike.
It was SUCH a DIFFICULT job, you see, being an announcer for the U-17 league games and really having little interest in the sport itself. Diamond was MUCH more interested in the gossips surrounding the players and leaking those juicy nuggets into her play-by-play verbiage but apparently SOMEONE at the WNN and some stuffy old fart at the IQA felt that it would be for the benefit of the league if commentary shifted its focus just a bit. Please, why would they keep inviting her back if they didn't like what she was giving? Whatever. Diamond reluctantly accepted the constructive criticism (because her mum forced her hand to) and was now here in the dingy quidditch shop when she could be checking out the latest Ellsberry line of highlighters and lip glosses. No, instead she was here pretending to care about brooms and helmets and whatever so she could talk more in-depth about sponsorships and all that jazz.
B O R I N G.
Keeping her yawn to herself, the 15-year-old picked up a pair of goggles and slipped them over her head before looking at her reflection in one of the little mirrors nearby. "Gah, hideous."

Elias had absolutely no reason to be in QQS as he had absolutely no interest in the sport. He actually rather loathed it, the associations with certain members of his family who had once been star players, he found it all rather pointless and a show of strength and brawn rather than a display of intelligence. He would rather play Wizard’s Chess, maybe even Gobstones, than torture himself on a broom for however many hours it took to catch a stupid ball.
Nevertheless Elias’ youngest brother had decided that he was going to be a Quidditch star. It made sense really, the kid lacked the intelligence of the rest of the Greenwoods and would want to show off in other ways. With his birthday in September when the clan would be in school, Elias had wanted to make a head start in buying birthday gifts which he was notoriously bad at deciding on. It wasn’t through a lack of caring either, he wouldn’t bother at all otherwise but rather because he was so bad at receiving gifts himself that he second guessed what others would like.
Strolling along the aisle, he picked up various items as if they were a soiled pair of underwear between pinched fingers before dumping them back where he had found them with a sneer. He stopped when he came across a fellow student who looked equally as disgruntled to be there. “I agree” he muttered as he came to her side. It wasn’t meant as an insult to her, it was an insult to the shop but Elias had found that most people took what he said to heart and he’d learned to just accept it.

No insult taken, at least not on herself, and she was quietly delighted that someone agreed with her sense of aesthetic. Everyone should though, she knew what she was talking about and they kept on renewing her teen contributor contract (or whatever it was called) so oblivious publishers agreed as well. Quidditch goggles were certainly not going to be making any top ten list anytime soon though, that was for certain. Maybe she could rank jerseys or mascots, she hadn't delved into that yet and those things were way more interesting than bat makers and leather guards. Well, not unless she could test their endurance thoroughly which...hmmmm...what blockhead quidditch peer of hers could she rope into that...
"Ugh, I know, right? I mean...I GET they have to protect the eyes but do they have to be so chunky and so...brown?" Did quidditch just hate color? How had they not taken any cues from muggle athletes with their neon spikes and everything?! Diamond pulled the goggles off and returned them to the bust, rubbing her eyes a bit but it doing very little to smooth the sideways oval indentations around her eyes from the rims. Something she didn't realize had happened until she looked at herself in the mirror and groan. Good thing about rubbish like this was that it was temporary...but she might just pull out her eye cream stick from her bag anyway. Unfastening it to do just that, her deep brown eyes feel upon her fellow hater and her lips curled into the slightest of smirks. "Pretty funny hearing someone from the Greenwood legacy say such things though," she hummed as she found her stick and uncapped it. "I like it."

Elias was going through a sort of transition phase where he didn’t actually know what he liked but there was no denying he knew what he didn’t. He’d got through the inevitable third year long hair phrase in which he had been scolded for its impracticalities as he had stepped off the train and yet it was still there. He HAD remembered to remove the nail polish though, that was an argument whose hill he wasn’t willing to die on yet. Personal style had yet to be decided but he for sure wasn’t going to be wearing any goggles any time soon. “It’s their choice to play such a stupid sport, they have to deal with the consequences” he shrugged.
He wasn’t sure why knowing his family’s reputation was so unexpected but the comment had temporarily penetrated the shield he had constantly around himself, or rather it had thrown him off kilter. “I’ll have you know that my Grandfather is a very stylish man and he wouldn’t be seen dead in those either.” Elias had never seen the man in anything that wasn’t a dark business suit, perfectly tailored without even a speck of dust from ruining the jacket. That might have been because he paid someone else to handle how he looked having decided that fashion was far beneath his pay grade.
Whoever said that money couldn’t buy taste was unequivocally wrong.
As for the small compliment, something that he had resigned himself to not receiving very frequently which was entirely his own fault, well that was recipient of a sort of twitch of the side of his lips in what could only be described as an attempt at a smile. “What does one buy a ridiculous twelve-year-old who really shouldn’t own a Beaters bat?” Otherwise known as his younger brother.

They DID exist! Well, if course they did exist but everyone seemed to glorify quidditch and quidditch players so it was quite nice to find another person who was more than willing to knock it down a peg or two - and especially one that was from a so-called legacy family at that. But like...REALLY...wasn't legacy just a subjective title? "I mean...muggle athletics have more of an interesting aesthetic sense," she shrugged while giving the mannequin beside her a little flick. Again like...brown on brown on brown on top of more brown with some beige? Earth tones were always in but come on now!
Diamond was good at digging up information and gossip, not reading body language, so she did not get the full satisfaction of enjoying throwing him off kilter but she would have absolutely RELISHED in such knowledge. At least for a fraction of a second or two. "Well, nice to know that there are two of you with good taste in the family." Though information that the man only ever wore suits would elicit an eyeroll and groan of boooooooooooooring too.
Well, now there was an idea. Top five gifts to get your quidditch loving friend or family member this season. If she narrowed that down to U-17 related things, which was fitting of her title at the publication, and she had herself a multitask victory. "Hmmm...I mean...there are posters and bobble heads and merch for beaters in the leagues," she suggested casually while taking a few skips forward towards the poster displays in particular. "What about...a signed poster of....Deirdre Ignitemoon..." Whoever that was. Their face wasn't terribly unfortunate, decent enough smile, but could use with a bit more sunscreen to protect those freckles.

The family opinion on Quidditch was divided but amongst his siblings he was the only one who thought the sport a waste of time and resources. Elias’s experience with muggles was also extremely limited, the family were pretty insular in their social circles and it rarely ever meant crossing paths with anyone outside of their community. “If by that you mean getting rid of the need for ridiculous robes then yes.” Even worse still was when those robes were in bright obnoxious colours, not mentioning any History of Magic professors by name..
Arguably Greenwood’s had never claimed to be ‘stylish’. What they wore was a reflection of their perceived status in the Wizarding world, an act to look intimidating and professional and business-like without standing out too much from the ordinary. Although Grandad Greenwood never got his own hands dirty, it would not be a good look to wear something ridiculous and over-the-top when conducting in something that wasn’t necessarily squeaky clean. Elias, whilst favouring a darker palette wardrobe, was discovering his dislike for the plain and comfortable. “Thank you?” he responded. See? Just because he couldn’t deal with stupid people didn’t mean that he was rude all the time.
“Who?” the fourteen-year-olds nose scrunched up. The only player he was familiar with was his Great Uncle Oliver and he was loathed to EVER spend money on something honouring him. He reached for one of the aforementioned bobble heads, shaking it with a look of bafflement that it would be something someone wanted. “It’s all tat,” he sneered.

Muggle knowledge was on a more need to know basis, though the Marchbanks were not a family that looked down on their non-magical brethren. But, as an aspiring influencer, she had to be tapped in and have her finger on the pulse of what was hip or up and coming in their sphere because it would ultimately spill over into their world - aaaaaaand she could be the first person to introduce certain trends and get all the clout. "That is certainly one aspect," she nodded in agreement. "I mean...wouldn't a cape just slow you down? Quidditch players could really benefit from working smarter and not harder...assuming they've got anything left rolling around in their heads after taking on all those bludgers." And she had seen her fair share of collisions and just...yikes.
"You're welcome," she beamed, putting down her initial suggestions for a gift since those were cleaaaaaaaarly not anything of interest. "She plays beater for one of the U-17 teams," Diamond shrugged in explanation and gave the bobblehead nearby a hard flick. "I mean...you're not wrong and it's your brother's own fault for liking something with so much tacky merchandise, but quidditch fans lap this stuff up and claim it to be collectables. It's ghastly how expensive some bobbleheads and signed posters of certain players can be." She would much rather spend that coin on make-up and there were some palettes coming out soon that she had been saving up for. "Jerseys are a popular choice too...if you know who his favorite team is..." she pondered with a lazy couple of taps to her chin. "Or...there are personal meet and greets and whatever that some professional players to. Meet and greets or a private training session."

Muggles existed and that was about as much interest as the majority of the Greenwoods thought of their non-magical counterparts. “I meant in general. Our school robes are hardly a tradition to write home about.” Now wearing the Durmstrang uniform might have been a different story, were they all not in agreement that Hogwarts had the worst of the magical schools. Her comment about Quidditch players received a genuine snort of amusement from the fourteen year old that rarely exited his mouth. “There must be a reason they have chosen to pursue a sport and not the academic route.”
“I’ve never heard of her.” he shrugged. Not that that was hard, he wouldn’t be able to name any famous Quidditch player if requested of him. It wasn’t even the price of the merchandise, although overpriced it most certainly was, but rather a combination between the quality and the fact that most of it was absolutely useless other than for collecting dust on the shelf. “I’m not concerned about the cost” he replied almost defensively. “I don’t want to buy anything breakable either, my brother has a habit of being unable to control his limbs.” His eyes rolled into the back of his head.
Was it awful that Elias didn’t pay much heed to the interests of his siblings when they didn’t align with his own? Knowing what team Evander supported would involve engaging him in a conversation for which the Slytherin had no patience for. “Our Great Uncle played for the Falmouth Falcons for many years.” So he assumed, perhaps rather naively, that the familial association would be enough to support that team. But then again they were Scottish and Montrose was not far from their ancestral home. “Is there even much of a difference between them? What is the point in putting all of your faith into one team only to be severely disappointed by poor performance.” Maybe it was just a lack of pride Elias had for anything but the Greenwood name. He raked his way through the rack of team jerseys, stopping at a Montrose Magpies t-shirt and deciding out of all the obnoxious colours, this was the least conspicuous. “Imagine paying to meet someone?” he scoffed. Could never be him.
Honestly, this move was still a wild experience for a Noah Cassian Escalante. It definitely topped that one time he accidentally exploded a tower and that one time he and his twin brother crashed their dad's flying car. It had all been in the name of fun, but this move...it was hard work. Too much packing only to have to unpack. It was boring.
He whined about it for the millionth time to his twin as he picked up some random keeper gloves and examined them with disinterest. "And then Mom said I couldn't go skateboarding until after I finished unpacking. So, I went and told Dad and HE said I'm lucky I'm not grounded for the rest of my life for crashing that car. I told him I was just an innocent bystander. You're the one who was driving and crashed us." Noah nodded certainly, as if he hadn't been pulling at the steering wheel and was half the reason the car lost control.

Moises was not in the greatest mood but he wasn’t in a terrible mood. Why was school necessary when he could have private tutors teach him far better than the lame professors he’s dealt with. Not to mention having to deal with a new school and a new set of classmates. L.A.M.E! Apparently, according to his father, Moises and his twin Noah were banned from returning to their former school. M’kay, weak! One time! They blew up a tower ONE TIME! And stole their father’s car, but nevermind that.
Moises raised a brow as he listened to his twin complain. ”An “innocent” bystander who willingly got inside the car.” Moises grinned. Sure, it was his idea to take the car. BUT on his defense, he meant to go on a drive on his own until his twin, the passenger princess, joined him. ”And if I recall, YOU’RE the one who fussed with the steering wheel. I had everything under control!” Had they not crashed Moises was confident they would have gotten away with it!

Diamond snorted and nodded her head. She had received a fair few detentions due to her attempts at bedazzling her own robes and turn them into something less tragic but whatever. Professors could only give her the same reasons so many times without her yawning and each detention only made her more stubborn about alterations. "As truly tragic as uniforms are in general, some of the older ones were way more interesting than the sorry excuses for clothes we have to wear today...and not just because vintage is on trend," she pointed out with a slight laugh. "At the very least there was more variety in options. Now it just seems like an excuse to mute self expression while professors get to flaunt their style...or lack thereof." That was maybe being a little too harsh but also pretty deserving. The Gryffindor shrugged her shoulders and sighed somewhat dramatically. "Most interviews I conduct or read claim that its about the comradery of being on a team and blah blah blah blah...but really I'd have a little more respect for them if they just called a spade a spade and said it was for the glory and the paycheck. Probably has roots in the gladiators and Ancient Rome and whatever. Clearly, humanity has evolved sooooooooo much."
Another shrug as she stepped away from the U-17 memorabilia, though she did take note of some of the less than flattering shots selected for some of the players for their posters because clearly that team's publicist had it out for them and their buck teeth. Soon, however, she was rolling his eyes at how he pivoted slightly at the price tag comment. "Okay Mr. My galleons are burning holds in my pockets so going all spendthrift on the overpriced tat is my jam," she laughed while giving a series of bobbleheads some flicks and bops so they were all wiggling at the same time. "You're probably best off with some sort of clothing...unless your brother's inability to control his limbs also means he is prone to stains or rips like my brother is." Sure, magically mendable but still insufferable and frustrating to bestow. "Doesn't help that his obsession is gobstones and that by nature is a stinky and gooey activity."
There was more shrugging involved, especially since Diamond could totally see why someone would want to pay good money to meet someone and may be working mum to do just that for a few influencers or at the very least finally take Diamond to some of the WWN end of the year soirees and such so she could finally rub elbows with the people and producers who could elevate the Carat Patch to where it deserved to be. Obviously though...she wouldn't be admitting to that since he had spoken like he had a mouth full of dragon dung he was trying to rid himself of. "I unfortunately know way too much about the various teams and players because of my summer job as an announcer so....technically...I could explain the difference and it be more than just team colors and mascots and blah blah blah blah blaaaaaaaaaah but a lot of things come down to socially constructed loyalty and localized pride and whatever. Some argue its akin to families that place so much emphasis on Hogwarts houses and that legacy and whatever." Ew, she sounded like a quidditch defender now...totally his fault he had struck a completely unrelated by also very relative nerve. "I'm Diamond, by the way. Marchbanks." Name could sound familiar because mum is a head producer and personality at the WWN or from the professional gobstones circuit...or because she herself was a bit of a teen celebrity...though she highly doubted he was reading any of the magazines her work was in. The image of him doing so was pretty hilarious though. "I'm a year above you at Hogwarts."
She nodded at his shirt selection. "A safe choice. Glad to have been of service while you slaved over your decision."

Where Diamond had already an idea on trends and expression, Elias was still attempting to find himself when it came to his clothes. He knew what he didn’t like far more than what he did and the constant voice in the back of his head telling him to ‘dress like he means business’ was constantly whirring around in his mind leaving his experimentation for the privacy of himself and occasionally his dorm. It didn’t stop him from passing judgment on everyone else’s choices though. “I don’t necessarily think that being forced to wear a uniform is a bad thing, I just don’t think our uniforms are it.” The worst case scenario should he be given complete freedom over his wardrobe was that others would judge HIM for his choices. It was all rather hypocritical. It was the robes really, they were stuck in the thirteenth century.
He didn’t mean to get defensive, he just wanted to make it clear that he COULD spend a small fortune on merchandise if he wanted to. He certainly wasn’t going to, it was begrudging him that he’d have to make an investment in a present already. “My brother is prone to believing he is invincible.” Which involved swimming in partially frozen lakes in the middle of the winter and attempting to jump the last few steps of the already moving staircase and what he would imagine would be a permanent bed in the hospital wing by his seventh year. “At least your brother has chosen an activity that uses some skill and not brutality. I prefer chess myself.”
Had he not already decided that she was not a hindrance to his day, he might’ve made a comment about being an announcer as an indication that she loved the sound of her own voice. She was spared from any commentary, her negative opinions about Quidditch swaying him enough to determine she was of sound mind. “You’re exempt from any judgment.. for now” The corners of his mouth twitched into what could be construed as the beginnings of a smirk. “I suppose I understand loyalties but that doesn’t eradicate that players are idolised for being brutes without brains.” The brutes that HAD brains were arguably even worse.
“Elias” he responded, surnames apparently unnecessary considering she had mentioned him being a Greenwood earlier. He wasn’t unaware of the Marchbanks name but his interests lay firmly away from the entertainment industry thinking that it was full of arrogance and nepotism. Ask him whether he had ever read Witch Weekly and the Slytherin would fervently deny it but as of recently he may have perused a copy or two after they had been left in the library. He couldn’t deny that the advice for fixing the third-year hair woes was more useful than anything he could find on his bookshelf. “I know.” He might’ve kept his social circle atomically small but he WAS observant enough to know and recognise some of his classmates, particularly those whose existence he hadn’t eradicated from his mind. It was a compliment really.
Deciding that the t-shirt was the least offensive thing to his eyes compared to some of the other useless tat that had been inflicted onto his retinas, he shoved it under his arm and sauntered over to the counter. “I’ll see you at school” he nodded towards Diamond, something he didn’t say often as his usual tactic was to avoid most people and with the briefest hint of a smile.

Diamond considered uniforms like the basic white t-shirt and pair of jeans. A fine enough foundation but without the ability to accessorize of personalized they were just...dull and boring. She wasn't keen on being forced to do anything and therefore she was against them from the word go. So he was entitled to his slightly wrong opinion. It was no skin of her knees or however that expression went. Also, shouldn't people with money (and the sort that wanted to fluff their feathers about affording overpriced junk especially) want to have the choice to wear nicer things and not dull boring affordable frocks? None of her business really...except it was totally her business and she wanted to stick her nose in it eventually. She couldn't say that she agreed so much that gobstones required more skills than quidditch...but chess was sooooooo boring. "Chess is cool," she nodded nonchalantly having never played a game in her life save for once and the entire board had been thrown across the room by some wild force of nature.
"Oh well, thank goodness for that," she laughed dryly with a playful roll of the eyes. No, really, it was great but also she couldn't play it like it was a big deal. "I offer you a sloppy curtsey as a sign of gratitude." Sloppy because she wasn't exactly wearing any sort of clothing that made the movement look elegant. "Hey, you know what we should do? We should heckle at practices. I'll bring the snacks." She needed to go to practices anyway for research purposes for announcing during the term so it really would just help make the whole thing less painful.
"Elias," she repeated to fully commit the name and face to memory. She had forgotten some of her supplies with her, namely her polaroid camera, so she couldn't take a picture and label it for her notebook. It was exhausting making sure you knew every single face so you were always in the know when it came to gossip and reviewing her notebook before bed was the perfect winding down ceremony before bed. Her posture straightened and shoulders squared up confidently when he said he already knew - duh, he had good taste thus far and it really would have put a damper on things if he hadn't. Like wow, way to totally tank a first impression! "Yeah, for sure. And let me know your favorite snack so I make sure it is in stock for the heckling," she replied and offered a wink to him before he departed with his tacky t-shirt for his (apparently) inept brother.
Checking the time, she realized that she too needed to be heading back to meet her mum at the fountain. She hadn't quite finished all her research here just yet and on a complete whim decided that she wanted to write a spoof article about 5 alternate uses for handle polish...which meant she was moving her sticky fingers over to that display and, after double checking that she was in the clear, slipped the bottle into her bag and skipping out of the store.

"Can we really by a new broom daddy? I want to be on the team as chaser next year too. It was so fun to score goals." JT babbled on and on as he tugged his daddy Kirk into the QQS shop. He wanted to go look at the new brooms nooooooooow! If he could get some new other quidditch stuff like gloves and stuff would be awesome but first BRoooooooooom!
Beelining over to the broom displays JT stood wide eyed and stared at the different brooms and reading their names. "Um, how do I know which broom is a good chaser broom daddy?" JT wondered with a look up at his daddy.

Beelining over to the broom displays JT stood wide eyed and stared at the different brooms and reading their names. "Um, how do I know which broom is a good chaser broom daddy?" JT wondered with a look up at his daddy.
Kirk smiled as he was brought into the QQS shop. His third home away from home. Who knew he'd be on the receiving end? He remembered doing the exact same thing with his own dad when he was younger in multiple places. "Of course, JT. you did so well with your team you deserve it. I'm proud of you." Second place in House Cup. Though he was sad to hear how low Ravenclaw placed, his son's team overrode his former house pride. "And I'll be able to help you with scoring." Since he was a Keeper himself, he'd offer tips and give him experience with a Pro-player at home.
As Kirk entered in the shop, a brief thought came to him, since the thirty-seven-year old was still playing professionally, there could be fans who recognize him. That'd be fine if they wanted to ask for a quick signature or hello. But his son came first over everything. "Well, a fast broom is great but you'll need one that has good steering to avoid any collisions." Kirk said as they approached the broom aisles. "A Cleansweep is very trustworthy, but I think we can do better than that if you're want to still play for the next 5 years." Got to have high standards with brooms. "Have a look at these brooms here, see how they feel against your grip. Are they easy for you to turn and shift around?" Since he'll be getting comfortable with them for some time. "I think the Jollyrocket would fit you playing Chaser, but let's see how it feels to you." JT's comfort overrode everything else.
There were many shops in DA that JT loved, but QQS ranked in the top three. Being around so much magical sports stuff was exhilirating. He knew his dad was famous, like many in the Forsfelle clan were, but to him he was just his daddy. Smiling widely up at his dad he asked excitedly "Can we practice scoring everyday this summer daddy, please?" Practice made perfect, wasn't that what mummy always said?
"Avoid collisons?" JT murmured as a recent very vivid memory surfaced, and he looked down at his feet in shame. "You know I didn't mean to fly into our old neighbors window it just kinda happened, when i tried to avoid colliding with a big bird." The old lady who lived next door had given him, and dad an earful that day..
Looking closer at the cleansweep and jolleyrocket in the broom aisle JT asked tentatively. "Can i really touch these brooms, and try sitting on them? I don't want to anger the shopkeeper..." He wanted daddy keep being proud not angry.

The best thing with being a dad was seeing the smile on your kid's face. Kirk never wanted to see it disappear. "Of course we can. As long as you continue to finish your house chores on time. And continue being a good big brother to KT, Harvey, and Gef." They both figuratively and literally looked up to him. And they all got along well, outside the little squabbles that siblings usually got into.
Kirk rubbed the top of Jt's head affectionately, "I know kiddo. Accidents happen and there's nothing wrong with that." Their neighbor just needed more patience. After all, the stars collided every so often and they still remained beautiful in the end. "Sure, you can touch the handle of them, but no more than that." Softly chuckling. "I believe the brooms have an invisible lock to prevent anyone trying to sit on them right now." Besides the broom, he had a feeling JT would want more than that. "Was there anything else you were wanting to get in here?" Daddy Kirk was feeling extra generous.
