On the quiet North End of the Street lies a vibrant storefront polished to its finest where you enter a world of brooms, bludgers, snitches and much more. Displayed at the window of the Quality Quidditch Supplies shop is the latest released broom. As you enter in the shelves and displays are the first thing you notice neatly stacked with other brooms, team posters, and robes galore.
Between the side walls there are various shelves that are filled with various Quidditch supplies and goods. Following the displays of brooms and the like, towards the back you see another section of displays, not of brooms, but the side walls of the shop are neatly stacked with frames, gobstones, and matching merchandise for support. Feel free to stroll along and find what you need to aid you in your game play. Lastly, the back wall displays books and other reading materials, all to do with Gobstones and Quodpot of course.
Towards the back you see another section of displays with little knick-knacks and toys perfect for all ages. Only our most privileged customers are permitted to enter the back room of the shop. Here we hold unique items and remaining stock of items that aren't able to fit on the displays or are in need of refurbishing. At the very back is a door where the shopkeeper does his admin work. Once you’ve found and decided on the goods you wish to purchase, you may bring them along your way towards the counter found right in the center towards the back of the shop. The shopkeeper may seem busy but that won't stop him from assisting anyone.

Now the that she was a THE BIG TWELVE, Isla had suddenly taken an interest in Quidditch. She'd followed a couple of teams and read a few magazines. She also thought she was good on a broom, too, which meant she should obviously talk her parents into letting her start recreational play, right? RIGHT.
So with all that in mind, she stepped into Quality Quidditch Supplies. No way would her parents let her buy her own broom right now. She'd probably get some talk about having just started the sport, blah, blah, blah. She could always look, though! She passed by the book section and saw a book about the rules of the games. Rule books sounded boring, but she really did need to know the rules, right? She picked up a book and glanced through it.
Hmm...maybe her mom would let her get a Quidditch Starter Kit today... That didn't seem like too big of a hasty purchase, did it? She tucked the book in her arms then headed toward the kits.

Lukas didn't play Quidditch. Not that he couldn't, he just didn't. On occasion he would 'play' with his siblings but it was nothing serious or truly worth even mentioning. Following the sport wasn't all that high up on his list of priorities either. He had nothing against going to a match though if the opportunity arose to do so.
So why he felt the need to step foot into the shop was anyone's guess. He already owned a broom, courtesy of his dad. And he didn't much feel the need to ask for a new one either. He'd rather ask for a cruppie, which he had been doing for years already. Either way, here he was.
Bright blue eyes scanning the surrounding area for anything of interest. Only problem with that was nothing seemed to calling to him. Nothing at all. The brooms didn't catch his eye and surprisingly none of the books did either. Normally he liked a good book and could happily read for hours on end. Not today though.
The eleven year old wandered towards the broom servicing kits. Maybe he would get himself one. Even if he wasn't a constant flier he still needed to keep the broom in the best possible condition.

With the rule book still tucked under one arm, Isla paused by the Quidditch Starter Kits and looked them over. Well...the kits weren't quite what she thought they'd be. They were huge and looked like something she'd need if she was starting a whole league of her own. Still, she continued to study them. The more she got involved in learning about the sport, the more she wanted to play it.
Seeing as the kit she'd originally wanted wasn't going to work out for her, she moved on to the next item on the shelf. Broomstick Servicing Kits. Well, seeing as she didn't even have her own broom, she didn't exactly need one of these either, did she? She happened to pass by a kid who looked to be near her age, and he was even looking over the same kits she'd just been looking at. "Do you play?" she randomly asked. "Quidditch, I mean." Because if he knew anything about magical sports, he knew that there was more than one.
The second year picked up a Broomstick Servicing Kit and looked it over. If only she had a broom to actually service...

Lifting one of the service kits off of the shelf, Lukas took a much closer look at was actually inside it. Did he need what it contained or would it be better to purchase only what he was sure he needed individually. The price of the kit wasn't to bad or so he assumed having never purchased one on his own before. Maybe he would just get it so he had it, should he happen to need it. Better to be safe than sorry as his dad always said.
Tucking the kit underneath his arm, he turned away from the shelf with the intent of continuing to look around. The brown haired child didn't get far however, a girl about his age catching his attention when she asked if he played Quidditch. "Only with family." Nothing to brag about here. "Do you play?" She was in the shop after all. Unless she was muggleborn and was curious about the sport.

Isla watched as the boy took a broomstick servicing kit off the shelf and tucked it under his arm. "I wish I had a broom to service," she said, giving the kit a melancholy look before turning back to the shelves. She shook her head. "I don't, but I'm really wanting to get into it." She showed him the rule book she'd picked up earlier. "I guess you have to start somewhere, right?"
She inched forward a little, looking and wishing all at the same time. "I'm going to learn how to play, and then maybe my mom will let me play recreational Quidditch or something," she added. Maybe they'd have tryouts at Hogwarts, and she'd make the team or something. Not this year. Definitely not this year. Third year, though!
"So do you play a certain position or something?" she asked. Isla did know the positions, and she knew enough about the game to know about the hoops and such. She had no idea which position she'd be best suited for, though. That was going to be where the rule book came in.

"How come you don't get one then?" he asked simply. It sounded like the easiest and most obvious solution. Unless she wasn't allowed to have one. Not every family could afford them or wanted their kids having their own brooms. Lukas looked at the book she held up. "Best place to start would be learning to fly. That's of course if you don't already know how to." Can't play Quidditch if you can't fly.
Lukas appeared thoughtful for a minute. "I'm not the best at Quidditch but I do know the rules. If you're going to Hogwarts too.. maybe I can help you go over the rules or something sometime." That's how he learned. His older siblings and father taught him the rules and practiced with him out in the backyard of their home.
It was hard to have a specific position consistently when you had siblings that always wanted to do everything he did. "Not really. I only play for fun so I'm not fussy about what position I'm playing." He did tend to favor seeker a fair bit more than other positions though. And chaser. He was a fairly good chaser. "Do you know what position you want to play?"

Guess it was a little obvious that he wasn’t some ethereal ghost talking to the kid so, Jude stepped out with a cheeky grin on his face as he looked down at the kid. The accent its self wasn’t an issue for him. Some of his best friends back home in New York were from the South so listening to the Southern drawl of the blonde-haired pompadour, if anything, was somewhat refreshing from the brutish harshness of the British accent Besides, who was he to complain about accents when his was so thick and in your face, it was practically knocking you over with its harshness.
“Well kid, dere's not a lot your mudder can do if yuh buy one and doan tell huh, is dere?” an amused expression crossing his face now. He wasn’t intentionally trying to get the little munchkin in trouble. Merely, showing him a different way of thinking? Yes, both sides of the coin, as it were.
“Den again, if she does find out, yuh future is not lookin' too good. Right? But. Yuh with me?..who knows what'll happen. I sure doan I'm no Calchas” his hands in front of him now, going back and forth as if to demonstrate a weighing scale tipping back and forth. If it was him, he most likely wouldn’t buy it. Not because he couldn’t afford it but because he just knew it would just gather dust. Besides, there were plenty of other things one could spend money on if you were the right age, his mind wandering back to the tattoo and piercing shop that he’d spotted on his treks around Diagon Alley earlier. The kid thought he had it bad, just let him go home after the school year with a tattoo and see how Tina Lou MacAfee blows up like a puffer fish being poked.
And yet, he could feel the temptation. The thrill of doing something he wasn’t supposed to. An adventure. It was what he lived for.
Mason heard the older kid out. He really only wanted to hear him out because he needed to hear someone else's opinion. Mason knew how he felt about this and what he wanted to do with his money but at the same time he didn't want to waste it all, he wanted to buy other stuff for Hogwarts. Oh...and he needed a new wand still...seeing as he broke his but that was a story for another less important time.
Looks at the older boy. "I mean no matter what I think or what my mom does to me I'm still going to be buying it." Mason said with a shrug as he kept looking at all the different brooms. "My mother is all talk...at least that's how she's been lately." What if his mother is buying him a broom and he doesn't know about it? Would it be bad if he was to buy one for himself? Maybe he can talk it over with his grandfather and uncles after he buys a broom? Yeah, that sound like a plan to him!
"Do you have any suggestions for brooms? I have just rode on hammy downs."

Jude had to suppress the laugh that was threatening to escape from his mouth as the younger American started talking about his mother. You’d think he would have cared what his mother thought and wanted for him to do but nope. Not one thought was given to what she wanted and honestly, Jude kind of respected that. If he’d done that to his mother? Well, she never would have found out so there would be no need to think about repercussions. “Well, go get dat broom dem! Okay?” He should not be allowed to decide anything for anyone else and here he was, telling him what to do. Surely there was someone around to stop this? No? Sweet.
“Suggesstuns fawh brooms, or what? Depends on how much money yuh have. Yuh with me? Go fawh de best. Okay? Can’t get bettuh than top of de line” Most expensive was always the best way to go really. Sure, he’d most likely get into more trouble but like he said, it would be too late then. “Why not get that one?” nodding towards the Moontrimmer Dlite. It sure seemed the best and it was called the MOONTRIMMER DLITE! Super cool.

If she didn't have her own broom, how was she ever going to get any better? "You're probably right, though. It's the best way to get better." That's be just what she told her parents when she got home. She hadn't asked them about her own broom in about a year, so who knew what they'd say now.
Isla perked up. "I do go to Hogwarts! I'm a second year now," she said, her enthusiasm showing in her tone of voice. "I've never seen you there. Are you going to be a first year?" Either that, or he was a transfer. He looked like a first year, though. "That's what I want to do...play for fun. Well, for now, at least." If she got good enough and wanted to play for a team, then so be it.
She shifted her weight from one foot to the other and thought about his questions. "Definitely not the seeker. I don't want all that pressure on me," she started. "I'm think maybe keeper or beater. Maybe chaser." In other words, she really didn't have a clue. Just not seeker. That was something she was sure of!

The look on Lukas' face was one of pure puzzlement. In his mind that made hardly any sense at all. Someone can't get better at something unless they practiced and it was hard to practice if you didn't have the necessary items to practice with. In this case it would be a broom. "It's the only way to get better," he replied nodding his head. "If you want to learn to play Quidditch you have to start somewhere.. and that somewhere would be with getting a broom. If they let you get one now or maybe even for Christmas or something you would have lots of time to become a good flier and learn to play Quidditch so you can tryout for the team next term." That was some serious logic right there in his mind. Plus, didn't they have to take flying lessons while at Hogwarts?
She was a second year. Not to far off in his initial judgement on her age. Not that it even mattered at all. "This will be my first year," he nodded enthusiastically. "And my sisters too." He was a twin after all. "It should be about having fun. What's the point in playing a sport you don't like?"
"Playing seeker is fun. Sure you have to catch the snitch but that's basically it." And avoid being hit by bludgers but that's what the beaters were there for. "Once you learn to play you can always try all the positions and see which one you like best."

Isla nodded. "Oh, I don't disagree with you at all," she pointed out. "It's my parents, definitely not me." Granted she hadn't approached them with the subject in at least a good year, so she might just get a completely different answer now. "It probably had something to do with first years not being allowed their own broom. Now that I'm a second year, they'll hopefully see it as money well spent." It wasn't that they didn't have the money. They did. It was just that her parents were practical people and didn't want to buy a broom that would just take up space in a broom shed.
Oh, so he'd be attending Hogwarts? With his twin sister (she was guessing)? "That's cool! I'm a Slytherin! Maybe we'll end up in the same house!" she said. That would be helpful, seeing as he was volunteering to help her with Quidditch. But before they could get any further along with that conversation, Isla's mom appeared in the doorway and gestured for her to come along. "I guess we're heading home for now," she said, turning back to her new friend. "It was cool meeting you, though!" She turned on her heels and headed to join her mom for the trip home. They had lots to discuss.
Zoe had finally gotten a starting position as a chaser on the U17 team this summer. After two to seasons of being a reserve, she didn’t mind, not her choice position but she seen it as a challenge to better herself as a chaser, player and teammate since that position depended on strong teamwork.
She was on a team and did from time to time get some playing time in. She already had everything she needed for the season, but she was here to buy herself some new gear and She had even gotten all of her old gear together, asked her father if he could donate it to a quidditch camp just in case someone needed the gear to use that might not have it.
Passing by the magazines, she paused to take a look. Maybe she would also grab a few to read. Although she hated reading especially over summer, and non-educational. But this was actually for research? Sure she would call it research so now it was all good. Justified reasoning. She sighed. Her fizzy long hair fell in her face again. Pushing her brown hair out of her face, taking the scucchi from around her wrist she pulled her hair back in a messy bun. Maybe she would run over to Madam Primpernelle's for a cut, and some straightening potions.

The past term had put a lot of things into perspective for one Joshua Miller. While he still feigned his obsession with quidditch to a degree, he was not as resentful towards it as he had initially designed things to be. Almost all of that resentment was directed towards pops and it all had come to a head at that shindig the man had decided was to be his sixteenth birthday party. It was, quite literally, everything he never wanted for a party: loud, terrible wrock music and jams, crowded, impersonal, and quidditch centered. It was everything he was not and everything pops wished that he was.
So, yeah. Being sixteen was off to a GREAT start.
What wasn't as bad as he thought it might be was this whole captain thing and that had more to do with who Joshua was as a person rather than the sport itself. Also the team. He really REALLY liked the team this season and he was looking forward to the next practice he had planned out that included some water balloons.
Needing to pick up a few things, and pops shoving galleons into his hand to spend on quidditch, Joshua stepped into the shop with a small sigh. One that picked up in attitude when he saw his teammate. "Hey, Bayless!" he greeted with his usual charm and gusto, complete with that bro sort of head nod. "Looking for your name in articles already?"
He was teasing, of course.

Her brown eyes flicked back to the magazines in front of her, scanning the covers, looking at the players. Trying to find which articles inside that would be most beneficial for her. She frowned a bit seeing in the first few on the shelf beautiful female quidditch plays on the covers. Like she would ever pull that off. Ever.
Then she heard her name and turned around, she thought she knew the voice. When she turned around she seen Joshua, her U-17 teammate, and schoolmate. She just shrugged and laughed that comment off. Suppressing an eye roll, she really wanted to roll her eyes at the comment. But she knew that he wasn’t being serious, or was he? ”No, no not yet. I’m waiting to be in midseason form before I get that self absorbed.” She said with a light chuckle. She returned the nod,
Deciding to give up looking at the magazines for now. ”Actually I’m getting some new gear.” Stretching her neck over in the direction of where that was.

His lips curled a bit more into an amused smile as he stepped closer to the magazines too and idly picked one of them up. He already had this one, of course. He had all of these already since pops had him on subscription to all the quidditch magazines. Which...really was a waste of their galleon considering how he never actually read them thoroughly. His History of Magic textbook had seem more page turns and THAT was saying something when you took a look at his scores. "Sounds like a good plan to me," grins properly and feels his cheeks flush slightly while looking at the cover with two of the Kenmare chasers on the cover, Zinna Shacklebolt and Henry Whittebrook. "Ugh...can't believe pops got these two to come to my birthday party." Which had been literally nothing he wanted. Nothing. "I doubt quidditch players want to be hired out for that sort of thing." Though Whittebrook seemed much genuinely pleased to be there than the overly polished and professional Shacklebolt. "Heard the Irish team got her to come coach a few practices. Pops is talking to Coach to see about us getting the same treatment."
His attention was soon drawn towards where she was nodding. "You want any help?" Picking out stuff and all that.

Matty Rider-Mae tugged on the hand of one of his closest pals, his brother Benzi following just a little ways behind, no doubt. But they'd spoken and Matty had requested Benzi's best auror shadow following so he could feel like he was on his own with Kizzy for their little hangout time. Surely this wouldn't really be a trip to Diagon Alley without a stop in the quidditch shop even if Kizzy wasn't nearly as fond of the brooms, snitches, and quaffles as he was. They would go wherever she wanted next, he easily decided.
Or... wait.......... maybe he shoulda gave her first choice.
The brunette turned around and gave the girl a sheepish look as he dropped her hand. Oops. Um. Heh. His excitement took over there. A hand moved into his hair, which was flat today and not styled up though... the heat was making him regret that. "Did I tell you I got a joke wand and tried to make my mom think it was my real one?" he asked, hoping to redeem himself with a story.

Kizzy didn't mind the tugging all that much. It made her feel really special. "Ma-haa-atty!" She giggled with delight as she hurried to match his pace.
Kizzy liked quidditch plenty, but not as much as Matty. Besides, she only liked it because of personal interest, so it wasn't the same now since daddy was retired from quidditch. She liked going place with Matty though. So all in all, she wouldn't complain. Especially if it meant she got to watch how big his eyes got when he took it all in. He was fun to watch sometimes because she felt like she could see his brain thinking when he'd get really invested in stuff. Not that she'd tell him that though.
She also wouldn't tell him that she was a little disappointed when he dropped her hand. But she was. A little bit.
Instead she looked down at her feet, a little embarrassed for her thoughts. Kinsay quickly looked up when he started talking again though, eager to hear whatever he had to say. Her eyes grew big, and she shook her head. "Did she believe you!?" Her mum would NEVER fall for that, she was too good. Daddy might though, she should've done that to test him.

His sheepish eyes quickly shifted into something brighter, a twinkle of excitement at being able to interest his pal in a story. Even if it was a short dumb one.
"Well... no. I don't think she thought it was all that funny either.. but Benzi and Emma did." Just thinking on his brother's laughter, the amusement he'd had when he agreed it had been a good idea to try to fool mum, was enough to make it all worth it. Plus! Now he had a second wand and that made him feel pretty special. "They laughed." Weirdly, he had a feeling Suri might've laughed too if she'd been there. No so much at the joke, but more at mum's face.
"Did you get all of your supplies yet?" He inched a bit further into the shop, heading toward the new brooms, his eyes careful to keep her in his sights at all times even if she just hung out in his peripheral vision as he walked.

Kinsay didn't think it was dumb. She liked all his stories, even when they were short. His excitement was also contagious, so that helped.
She laughed at the thought of the entire exchange. It was terribly funny. Especially when she imagined what Matty's face must have looked like when he realized that his mum didn't like the joke. "I would've laughed too." Though she was also laughing now, so this was likely something that didn't need saying. Kinsay said it anyway though.
"Almost!" She grinned as she followed just behind him. "I went shopping for robes with Emm, we picked matching outfits for the train." Kiz didn't withhold her excitement. "I told her that maybe we could all get a compartment together?" Even if Emmerson insisted that she wouldn't go to Hogwarts, Kiz knew she would. She had to. It would be miserable without her.
"Do you have all your supplies?" She almost forgot to ask him too.

She was truly in over her head and why she ever thought of this idea was beyond her. Eli walked around the shop clueless as to what to get, for a child of two professional quidditch players she sure was not aware of much that went into quidditch. She knew enough to get by, but when it came to the best this or that she kind of glazed over when hearing her family talk about it. It was something that always bothered her and she felt a disconnect with, but today wasn't about her, today was about a gift.
As she walked around she tried to remember everything that was in the house. She wanted to get something special for her sister and knew with her love of quidditch this could be a good start. She had confided in her recently and she wanted to show her how much she appreciated being her sister and to show her she would always be her number one fan.
The problem was.... she had no clue where to start in this awful shop.

Morgan wasn't all that into Quidditch himself. Sure, he played at some of the camps that his parents enrolled him in when he was younger, but he wasn't interested in playing it at school like his siblings had been. Even if he did think it was super cool that his sister played professionally and she'd probably be famous one day and have all kinds of merchandise at the Quidditch shop. But that wasn't why he was here today.
Morgan knew a secret about QQS, that they sold the coolest sunglasses in all of Diagon Alley, even better than the ones at Madame Malkins. And because most people came here for Quidditch supplies, it was a product often overlooked.
Heading in for a new pair of shades, he wasn't surprised to see people he knew since Diagon Alley was the place to be during summer. "Hey, Eliana," he greeted her with a cool bro nod as he neared her on his way to grab the coolest shades. "Sup?"

Turning the corner Eliana felt lost and she knew she shouldn't feel it. She knew she should be knowledgeable about all this stuff and if she was a true Low would be an excellent player like her sister. She sighed feeling a little defeated when her eyes met a familiar face, "Morgan, hi. What are you in here for." Blushing a little she looked around, "Forget I asked that, kind of a dumb question when we are in a quidditch shop."
Of course he was there for quidditch things, wasn't all wizarding children? She started looking at the shelves again not sure at all what to get, but maybe, just maybe.. "Hey I think I might need some help. If you were getting your sister something in here for an appreciation gift what would you get her?"

His sister played quidditch, right?
"Oh... well, I'm not actually getting any quidditch stuff," Morgan said when Eliana acted like it should be obvious why he was in this store. "I'm here to get some sunglasses. They have some pretty cool ones here." It might have been a fairly well kept secret, but Morgan didn't really know how to keep those.
He wouldn't mind trying to help here though, since he did know a little but about quidditch. "My sister probably has everything. She plays pro, you know. Unless there was like a funny bobblehead of her." He laughed a little. Maybe he should go look to see if there were any, but he wasn't sure she was that famous yet in the UK. "How old is your sister again? And is she like a player or a fan?" That might make a difference.

"Sunglasses?" Her eyebrow raised with the thought of some new sunglasses, but would they just be real sporty she wondered. "I love sunglasses." She smiled as she looked around to see where they might be. She hadn't thought of this place selling those, but it did make sense. Players needed them to keep the sun out of their eyes for matches, didn't they? She felt dumb not really knowing.
"Oh that's right, she does. Has she been having fun with it?" She had heard that Chloe had went on to play, but to know the team or anything Eli had no clue. Her nose scrunched to the bobblehead thought, "My parents have those." She found them creepy if someone would ask and having her parent's heads bob around was just weird.
"She's just a bit younger than us and plays. She's really good too, I think that it is a family thing. They all are so good." She bit her lip looking at the shelf. She always felt a bit of sadness when she never was able to get into the sport like she wished she could have. It really just wasn't for her.

"Maybe sunglasses could work for her?"
"Maybe you should get some then," Morgan suggested, noting her looking around. "They're usually the next aisle over, just at the end." Or at least they were the last time he came in for some. He was headed that way too, so he could show her.
He shrugged as Eliana asked about Chloe. "Yeah, I guess so. She's really into Quidditch." So it would make sense to him that she liked playing on a pro team, but that was as much an assumption on his part as anything else. "They collect bobbleheads or they have their own bobbleheads?" Morgan wasn't completely sure what she meant. Were her parents Quidditch players? He wouldn't know as he didn't really follow the game.
"Oh, is it? My brother used to play too... Quidditch is cool and all, but I'm not really into it that much." So he wasn't all that sure it was a family thing, but maybe it was for her family. "Do you play too?" He guessed not so much if she was asking his opinion on things, but maybe there was another reason for that. But then he nodded at her next suggestion. "Yeah, sure. Everyone could use a cool pair of shades, right?" he added with a grin.
