What might be a work of art, or is possibly what nightmares are made of, is the fountain outside the Leaky Cauldron. Large, gaudy and rather obnoxious, it is most definitely a center point of the area. Built of crumbling stone, the fountain is tall and contains three tiers. Starting at the bottom, the fountain has a three-foot high wall. In the center and serving as a support beam is a water serpent that rises from the pool and to the very top. Winged cherubs with wicked looks in their eyes hang off the serpent and dragons peer from around his climbing body. If it feels like the dragons and cherubs are watching you, it’s because they probably are. One cherub has been missing his head for centuries. Cherubs and dragons alike spit water in many directions, sometimes at different intervals, creating a beautiful display when sunlight catches the dancing water.
However, the fountain is not merely a great sight. Perhaps it is haunted, or maybe cursed, for the fountain has a tendency to spit water at people. Those who loiter too long may find their faces wet. Try to sit down on the edge without dropping a coin and you may find yourself doused with water. However – do not try to outsmart the fountain. Dropping muggle money won’t buy you any time. On the contrary, those who drop muggle coins will find themselves pelted with coins.
Oh, and just a warning. Don't try to stick your hand into the water, especially in hopes of grabbing some money from the bottom. Creepy things with tentacles would love to bathe with you.

However, that was not something she admitted out loud. "anyways. I dislike this fountain." And yet... she sat here a lot. It was a good place to sit. She eyed the cherubs with suspicion. She felt watched. Also, one of them was headless. "I will try greeting them when I sit here next."
"Huh? Oh..." Ashley looked down at her sketchbook, considering the spots of water carefully. "Well... it's kind of wet now. However... it's a sketch of my reflection in the water, so..................................... I think it adds to it for it to be stained with water." She had been frowning, but now she smiled a little. As long as the art was alright, so was she.
Ruby was unsure whether the fountain was actually a sentient being and therefore capable of not liking someone for absolutely no reason or if it was just sheer luck, or rather misfortune, that one person was often targeted. Either way, the fountain really did need to learn some manners. “Perhaps it might be time to find an alternative spot to sit that’ll be a little drier.” She’d suggest the courtyard of the Leaky Cauldron or if she favoured something sweet and the weather was being kind then the outside seating at Florean’s was always a welcome respite. Still, Ruby couldn’t say anything considering this was the spot that she had chosen to rest upon herself.
The wandering eyes of the Cherubs hadn’t bothered Ruby but she could see how their everlasting gaze could be somewhat disturbing. It was similar to when you walked past a painting and it’s eyes seemed to follow you. Unfortunately Hogwarts was full of paintings exactly like that only they truly were moving and watching your every step. “I suppose it’s only polite” she giggled. If the Cherubs were capable of emotions and they had been ignored for the majority of their life it would make sense to enact some form of revenge on passers-by. Manners had also been instilled in the Ravenclaw since she was a young girl. It had earned her the nickname of ‘Angel’ from her dear father.
As for the other woman’s artwork Ruby was relieved to hear that it hadn’t been damaged to irreparable damage and would add to the ambience of the drawing instead. “I wish I was capable of artistic talents,” she mused. The former Ravenclaw had been blessed with her fathers logical and intellectual brain and her mothers kind warm-heartedness but sadly there wasn’t an artistic bone in her body.
“I’m Ruby by the way. Ruby Broadmoor.” Introductions had always seemed so forced to the woman but they felt necessary. She also liked to put a name to a face just in case she would come across them again and could refer to them by their first name.

That was one compliment she was going to take with pride. "Thank you, I appreciate that. The funny thing with that is there's always so much more to learn when it comes to creatures. No matter how much you think you know, there's always something else to discover." That was probably true about most subjects honestly. Hadleigh smiled at the question. "It might sound cliche but loving what I do is truthfully the answer. Working with some of the creatures we can get to see isn't easy and isn't to be taken lightly, the job can be tough and it takes it toll. You really have to enjoy it."
"Not alone. That's key. Remembering that even though we are witches and wizards we are only human. We do need a break and we do need help sometimes. It's okay to ask friends and family to pitch when things get overwhelming." That was always something Hady had to admit, she had an outstanding support system. A huge one at that. There was always someone that could help with the kids if she needed a breather for whatever reason. "As for my husband, he's my best friend and a big kid himself. We still get along like we're teenagers." Seeing them together was hilarious. "Work is a little more completed now. Hogwarts now takes up nearly all of my time. And my vet work can only be done when I'm home on holidays or if I can get away for a weekend should it be a serious situation that really requires my care." As for her Magizoology work well that had seriously been cut back but she still dealt with that whenever an occasion came up.

He was on a mission, and perhaps his attitude was a little bit too enthusiastic for said fake mission because Drake had managed to go all out. They were getting some more time in Diagon Alley, and while he'd already gotten to see the pretty flowers in the Memorial Garden AND he'd gotten to have ice cream soup, there was ONE other thing he really wanted to do. And he was hoping his overly playful attitude for the day towards it would keep others occupied and OUT of Flourish and Blotts.
The mission? See how long he could terrorize the fountain as much as it terrorized everyone else.
He had not been personally victimized, however he heard a lot of stories when he was eavesdropping observing the last time he'd been to the Leaky Cauldron for lunch. And the amount of people that entered, mildly soaked, had been curiously high.
So he was avenging all of these strangers. And wearing all black to do it, because that was the color of sneaky right? He'd even asked his sister and friends (er, friend and... TBD?) if they'd like to join.
Tiptoeing in a comical cartoonish fashion, the boy approached the fountain but stopped a bit away and slunk behind one of the outdoor dining tables. The perfect hiding place.

This whole mission of Drake's was, she had to admit, rather silly. It was beyond silly even. But there she was, being a supportive sister and going along with her twin brother's antics. He owed her for going through with this.
Gillyweed of course had heard plenty about the fountain and also had seen with her own eyes what it could do to people. Unlike those poor unfortunate souls, she was determined to not get soaked. That was going to be easy for her to accomplish since she planned on being the 'lookout' for this whole operation, providing her wisdom as needed, and keeping her hair free from a downpour of water. She had to admit that she was curious about the structure and how it worked, so she certainly would be taking mental notes and coming up with probably several theories while whatever was going to happen unfolded.
"I am certain that the fountain does not have eyes, Drake," Gilly commented with a roll of her eyes. Yet there she was, crouching beside her brother, hiding from the decorative reservoir behind a dining table of all places. Oh, yeah, he was going to owe her big time, possibly multiple future trips to the bookstore.

Aryan was used to all the craziness. It was still a great puzzle to him how he managed to find himself in such situations, as much as it was a great mystery as to how the two friends he had were both so silly and talkative. It seemed Ary had a type when it came to friendships. Despite knowing what type of adventure this could turn out to be {thanks to all his experiences with Bryony}, he was still way too enthusiastic to accept Drake’s invitation.
Which was how he found himself in the vicinity of the Fountain in Diagon Alley holding Bry’s hand {she never seemed to want to let him go these days}. This was fine. It was all fine as long as she didn’t go about shouting about how he was her boyiefwiend.
At first, Ary didn’t see Drake or his sister. He dragged Bry from this side to that as he surveyed the environment keenly. Observation was one of his strongest traits and not long after he managed to spot the twins. While he was uncertain of what Bry wanted to do {follow him or dance atop the fountain’s edge}, he still tugged on her hand. She could either follow him or not, but either way he was already off, planting himself silently at Drake’s side when he got there. Ary poked his friend in the arm.

Bryony was the crazy. At least in their group of two. It had always been Bryony and Aryan. Until recently. She didn't really mind much, as long as everyone knew their place. Meaning, the boy at her side, holding her hand, yeah, he was hers. Not that them holding hands was anything new, this hand been a thing for her to do with him since forever (okay, since about as long as Ary actually willing allowed her to). It was so much nicer when she didn't have to pitch a fit over something so simply.
Bright blue eyes took in the entire surrounding area around the fountain, as well as the fountain itself, for Drake and his sister. Had she seen where he was hiding almost right away, maybe. Only she needed to make herself aware of all that was going on around them as well. All the while the small eleven year old was being pulled all around by Ary. Which was a-okay with her seeing as to how he hadn't let her hand go yet.
When she was tugged towards the tables though, Bry had a moment of conflict run through her. Did she want to go with him.. or did she want to take charge and head for the fountain so they could get the ball rolling right from the start? Despite what she reeeeeeeally wanted to do, the blonde let herself be tugged along some more. Reaching the others, she knelt down right beside Ary for now.
Why, were they hiding?

Gilly was smart, so Drake was generally inclined to agree with her, but on this he didn't think he could. Maybe the fountain DID have eyes, or else how would it know when people were around to terrorize it? Even now it could know they were already there and be ready to DRENCH them. "Well, the scuttlebutt has it that it does have eyes." He had never actually heard a direct rumor that it did, but he was going to double down on that this time around.
Drake had been so focused on his sister and remaining out of site, he hadn't noticed when Aryan had quietly crept up and joined them, bringing Bryony along with him. Ary's sudden appearance was a surprise, the blonde accompanying him was not. When the boy felt the poke to his arm, he turned on his heels to face the direction, hands up in defense karate chop movie (which he did not know how to execute) when instead he saw the pair of them and just smiled and gave a wave instead. "Hi guys!" He whisper yelled so both of them could hear him.
And now that all of them were gathered... Drake pulled the bag on his shoulder closer to his chest so he could open it up and show the various water guns hidden inside of it. He didn't REALLY think spraying the fountain back was going to do anything, but it sounded like fun anyways until they all decided to turn on each other. (if they did) "Step one of the mission, arm ourselves! Everyone pick your weapon!" They were all pre-filled which was why his shoulder was not just the slightest bit wet. Once they were out though, they'd have to risk refilling in the fountain water.

Ary liked to think that it was Bry holding his hand, not the other way around. She always was. If she wasn’t, she was hugging him or trying to get his attention or making him do ninja stuff. But they could agree on one thing: she was crazy. So darn crazy. Also very possessive. None of these bothered Ary though. This was possibly because the pair had known each other since they were babies. Ary was used to Bry’s whacko personality.
Quite happy to be hiding out and to be in Drake and his sister’s company {especially Drake’s} he was, though he flinched when he thought that Drake was going to hit him. A gentle soul like Aryan did not like any sort of violence or conflict. It turned out that Drake wasn’t going to hit him so he beamed and waved violently. Hi, Drake!
Right! So, the little guy was ready for this mission - which sounded mad to him, by the way. But he had done madder stuff with Bry; aka Ninja training. Ary was instantly taken with the water guns. After some silent {obviously} deliberation, he seized a purple and neon green one; the weight of it told him it was already full of water. A nudge was then given to Bry, urging her to pick a ‘weapon’.
Could he pick another? Then again… there was doubt about whether he’d be able to carry two at once. Well, he’d just keep close to Drake for when he needed another.

There was a simple explanation for how the fountain knew when people were around to terrorize: magic. Of course, the specifics behind that magic is what she was intrigued by. As for the fountain having eyes, she couldn't stop herself from saying, "That's all just hearsay and no concrete evidence has been provided." A look was sent Drake's way, but it did soften a bit. This was his day after all. "But I guess there's only one way to find out: in wild uncharted waters beyond where man can see." And for the record, by 'we' Gillyweed meant her brother and the other two if they showed up.
The sudden movement of her brother caught her attention. She, of course, didn't react in the same way, for all she did was shift her head slightly and let those brown eyes fall upon Aryan and Bryony. No words were said to them as they all were supposed to be 'hiding,' but she did offer the pair a nod of her head in greeting. She even tried to smile a little to make herself appear more friendly.
When the water guns were revealed, Gilly was reminded of how puzzled she had originally been when she saw her brother filling them up and placing them all in his bag. The thought of them all running up to a fountain to spray it was worthy of an eye roll from her. She did, however, monitor her face, keeping it rather neutral as everyone made their selections. Whatever was leftover she would take, mainly for protection if anyone got any clever ideas.
Otter This World ♡ Catpurrccino ♡ Slotherin ♡ Pandamonium
Bryony knew how the fountain worked, it was like most other things in their 'world'. Magic is what made it work, and the complete randomness of how this magic and the 'creature' living inside the fountain worked was what made it fun. All they had to do was toss a coin into the water and they would be spared any splashings. It was easy to understand really, magic could make most anything happen.
Even with this knowledge in her head, Bry was going to go along with the silly antics of those in her company. This was merely all about having a good time, was it not? And being nudged by Aryan to take a water gun from Drake's bag only confirmed that this would be fun. A quick look at the assortment showed there was one with some pink on it, obviously that's the one she had to grab. "I can refill them if anyone doesn't want to get that close." She wasn't afraid of the fountain at all!
Now what were they meant to do? Wait for Drake's instructions or.. could she go annoy the fountain now?

Drake flinched at Aryan's flinch, instantly feeling bad that his friend thought he was going to HURT him. Drake was not a violent sort either, but he'd taken a couple karate classes just for self defenses purposes after some of the kids at school had teased him a few years back for being such a cry baby. It wasn't HIS fault that he was emotional!! Or that THEY were the ones being mean! So now it was just instinct to at least get in a defensive pose when he was startled.
Which was still rather silly, given the fact that Drake was the one who invited them and should have been fully aware of it.
Once Bryony and Aryan had made their selections, his bag was infinitely lighter and he pulled out a blue and red one which was just the first his hand touched before moving the bag towards Gilly again noticing she had yet to select. There were certainly enough anyone could take a second and he nearly did so from the beginning before deciding he'd probably just accidentally drop it later and it was better off not for the time being. He could come back later to the bag.
So instead he circled back to the whispered debate on the fountain. "I think I'm the one whose right this time!" Because the fountain HAD to have eyes. There was a creature thing in it right? Didn't all creatures have some means of sight? And if the fountain was controlled by magic, couldn't the creature with it's eyes BE that magic?? So yes, he was standing metaphorically by the fact that for first time he was right as he pushed himself to a stand - before gravity promptly pulled him back down and he fell before he could make it from around the table. Oops. "Um uhh we should run at it now!" And spray the fountain!!
Until they probably got bored of that and turned on each other. Hopefully the Leaky Cauldron proprietor wasn't annoyed by them.

It was a rare occurrence these days but Ruby had actually taken a little time off from work in order to gather supplies and perhaps indulge in a treat or two for herself in Diagon Alley. She had also promised to stop by Sugarplums on her way through, a request from her pregnant sister to pick up a sugary snack to dispel her cravings. As genteel as her sister usually was towards her, Ruby really didn’t fancy being faced with a hangry Tabitha. She’d made a quick note with the specific brand and type of candy that Tabby had requested and folded it neatly into her bag that morning in order to, heavens forbid, not forget.
After a good hour of shopping and browsing and admiring all the new books that had come into print in Flourish and Blotts (you could take the girl out of Ravenclaw but you could never take the Ravenclaw out of the girl), the Mediwitch strolled her way over to the fountain for a quick pit stop, to collect her thoughts and consult the aforementioned list. Typically the thirty-five year old would greet the Cherubs with a friendly hello and drop a coin into the fountains waters to hopefully prevent the inevitable aqua attack but the thought must’ve slipped her mind as as soon as her bottom touched the stone she was subjected to a streak of water directly to the back of her head which dripped its way down onto her note and smudged the impeccable handwriting to complete illegibility.
“Oh Merlin” she heaved a sigh whilst attempting to shake the remaining water droplets off of the paper.

Even if Gilly hadn’t smiled, Ary wouldn’t think of her being less than friendly. After all, he often had those moods where he could be rather serious {especially when anything stressed him out} but he was quite friendly. Anyway. He thought that Gilly was cool since she was Drake’s sister. When Bry selected a water gun with the colour pink etched upon it, Ary was not in the least surprised. Pink was that girl’s colour and he had to admit that it suited her without a doubt. Ary gave her a look which basically meant that he’d like her to refill the gun he held when needed; he didn’t want to be a bother so maybe he would take chances in helping her.
Drake didn’t have to feel bad; Drake was who he is and definitely did not have to worry about Ary being a meanie to him. Ary was inclined to think that magic was involved with the Fountain but as for there being eyes there… it seemed sort of farfetched. He wasn’t about to burst his friend’s happy bubble though; it was sort of letting someone believe in Father Christmas and the Easter Bunny.
Run at the Fountain?
Sure, but after you guys. Or maybe after Bry. Cue Ary giving her another look.

Running errands was one of the few things that could get Noah out of the Ministry during the work week when the minister was busy with one thing or another which demanded him to be nearby and assisting. And since the latest was something that Genevieve herself frowned upon, it was left up to him to handle it himself, which the personal assistant had accepted with not much trouble. At least it was nice weather outside for once and they had grown from the taste testing that had started his time at the Ministry.
Stepping through the moving stones from the Leaky Cauldron the former Hufflepuff paused to get his bearings of the familiar alley, admittedly not once to spend much time there. At least since the summers when he spent days on end gathering school supplies. His eyes flickering around the area but alas not paying the fountain nearby much heed which if he had remembered…
SplOOSh!
Noah felt the wetness hit the side of his face just as the personal assistant had decided to move on in the direction of his destination. “Seriously?!” he mused, turning and stepping back from the offending cherubs as he pulled out a hankerchief from his robe pocket. The young man hoping to be out of the line of fire as he gathered himself. Like seriously, why hadn't someone removed or at least busted the troublesome fountain in a freak "accident"?

The heavy sigh that followed after the soaking was preceded by a quick wave of her wand to produce the Hot Air Charm. It was likely too late by that point but Ruby hoped that she might be able to salvage at least one thing from the list in order to keep that pregnant sister happy. She squinted down at the smudged mess just about detecting an S and U and therefore deciding it was likely Sugar Quills she was after. Her wand gravitated to her clothing which was slightly damp from the Cherub attack but was swiftly rectified with another cast of the spell.
She was seconds from turning on her heels and strolling over to Sugarplums when the fountain chose its next victim. The poor man was splashed directly into the face. She couldn’t help the tiny amused smile that fell onto her lips in relief that it wasn’t just her who had been victimised. “Merlin, it seems as if the fountain is on form today” she mused in his direction. “There’s obviously not been enough coin dropping to keep the Cherubs happy.” If she was honest she had forgotten herself but if she had just been given a minute she would’ve rectified her actions.

Brown eyes watched with interest as everyone in their group made their selections. While there was honestly nothing particularly special about the water guns, there was something to be said about the colour choices that her brother and their counterparts had made. It could be said that they were rather fitting for their personalities. As for her, the colour didn't matter to her and she would be just fine taking whatever was left.
There was no way the rolling of her eyes that followed Drake's comment could be missed. "I guess we'll find out soon enough, won't we?" Gilly responded, taking the bag from him. Without another word, she pulled out a water gun that was dark blue with black accents. There were, of course, still a couple more left in the bag, but she didn't bother pulling a second out. In fact, she slung the bag over her shoulder, deciding to make herself the designated Keeper of the Water Guns. She'd make herself useful in that way since she didn't anticipate getting too close to the fountain at all.
Following her brother's call to run, her eyes fell upon Ayran and Bryony, curious as to how they would respond. She knew Drake was ready to make his move. As for Aryan, she couldn't help but notice a little anticipation. Was he waiting for someone to make a move? "Well, what are you waiting for? It's time to investigate the mysterious fathoms below! Heave ho!"

Bryony was already all systems ago. From the second the water gun was in her hand, the small blonde's attention was all on the fountain. And Ary. Always on Ary. Not that this should come as a surprise to anyone at all. So when a look was cast her way from him in response to what she had said, obviously she grinned at him. There was nothing at all for him to worry about because she always had his back. Even if this was simply about refilling water guns.
The instructions to run at the fountain didn't faze her. Even if they got sprayed by it. It was, after all, only water. "Come on, Ary. You can stay behind me for now.. if you want." Chances were it wouldn't last very long and she would end up running off and climbing up onto the fountain.
Getting to her feet, the water gun in one hand, Bryony took hold of Aryan's hand with her other and started off running at the fountain at a speed she knew he could handle. See, always thinking about him!
It was time to spray the fountain now, yes? Don't mind her while she did! The others were close by?

It was nearly comical to him the differences in the group. Bryony seemed the only one, perhaps despite himself, anxious to get started in their attack. Aryan seemed to be waiting for the blonde to make a move and Gil seemed to be observing, as she generally did. He had just wanted to make sure everyone else was comfortable before he initiated. Suddenly Bryony was off and running and spraying, dragging Aryan with her and he simply saluted them both as they did, before turning towards his sister.
"Did you pick a watergun? You ready to go too?" He was going to make her be part of his world on this too - or... well, at least part of his plan. It would be nice for them to both have established friends before they started at Hogwarts! It made the whole experience seem that much more exciting. "Go together???" He asked, giving her a wide grin. He didn't wait for her to answer, just assuming she would agree, before his own feet were carrying him towards the water with a battle cry as he sprayed. "AAAAHHH!"

At the woman’s words Noah looked over at her, registering someone else had been around, perhaps having just as bad a bit of luck from what she said. “Yeah it seems so,” he agreed with a shake of his head, restashing his handkerchief. “Maybe it hates nice weather.” Like it can’t let the visitors of Diagon Alley enjoy a sunny day without something to try and ruin it. Not enough coins? Well, that sounded a bit like a shakedown done by an inanimate object. Noah briefly wondered if his dad’s department had ever looked into the possibility that someone was running a con with the fountain.
“It’s not like it really gave me much chance…” the personal assistant mused glancing back at it. He had only just stepped near it. How did it know that he hadn’t had the intention of throwing a few coins its way and just hadn’t been fast enough? Great…now he was thinking like the fountain had a brain to process thought. He narrowed his eyes at it debating before reaching a hand into his pocket for a couple of small coins and tossing them in.

Ruby couldn’t comment on the reasoning behind the fountains targeted attack, she wasn’t even sure whether the inanimate object was capable of producing unwarranted opinions on passer-bys but nevertheless it seemed to have selected these two as its victims. “Or it hates being ignored.” Her eyes drifted up towards one of the Cherubs who looked so happy and peaceful in its position and not as if it was ready to pounce at any second. A false sense of security perhaps? The Mediwitch wasn’t prepared to be soaked again so reached into her bag to produce some loose change which was gently dropped into the azure waters.
The small chuckle that graced her lips in response to the man came out in a musical sort of way. Ruby may not have inherited the angelic voice of her mother but she was brought up to be a prim and proper lady and cackling was not in her agenda. “You must’ve done something really offensive” she teased lightly. “But evidently so did I.” She once again glanced down at the ruined shopping list and cursed herself for not writing it out in invisible ink.

Did Gilly and Ary share a mind? Because he too wasn’t keen on getting close to the fountain. Let those two outgoing ones take that job. If Gilly, and everyone else must know, he wasn’t keen on having attention to himself; he preferred the shadows. Charging at the fountain would definitely do that sort of horrific thing. Besides, he was always in Bry’s spotlight {probably the only one he had grown used to at this point of his short life} and that was more than enough.
It really was unsurprising she yet again interpreted his look correctly. Oh no; he didn’t need to hide or anything, just let everyone else go ahead. Especially Drake since this was his mission. Yet before Ary knew it, Bry had grabbed his hand and he was yanked to his feet. Now, he may have had lots of experience being towed by Bry at rapid paces but if there was one thing he did not inherit from the God of Athleticism it was the ability to run properly. Heck, he failed at all things sporty.
As for Drake? Drake was clearly the most enthusiastic. And loudest. Was he going to give Bry a run for her money? This certainly seemed as though it would be the case. Ary let got of the hand holding his to follow Drake’s lead of letting loose and letting the fountain have it.

For the best experience in Diagon Alley, one had to make a plan. Or at least, Sable Ileana liked to tell herself that. Regularly, any plan she might come up with rather went sideways, but the intent was there. Pick a place close to the start, and figure out where to go next. Unless she felt like going off on a whim, but today she fully meant to figure out what path she wanted to follow. Rather like a treasure map, except pirates usually didn’t have to pay for the treasure at the end. Also known as, she really ought to get her supplies for fifth year, but the petite blonde was stalling. There was still plenty of summer yet before September first came along.
As such, she was perched on the edge of the fountain, having tossed a sickle into the water to ostensibly avoid getting drenched but not entirely worried if she had been. Water dried, after all, and it might actually feel kind of nice. Once the surprise passed.
For once, she actually didn’t know if any of her people were actually in the alley that day or not. The mystery of it all was exciting, although she had definitely thought about stopping by the Owl Post to see if Enzo was working. The idea was filed away in her head, as rather a plan B. Or plan C, or any other later plan.

A fountain hating to be ignored. “Reminds me of a certain poltergeist.” The ghosts of Hogwarts had been one thing to get used to during school, the trickster another story. And he certainly wasn’t one who liked not to have everyone’s attention. His gaze echoing hers as he looked to the cherubs himself. So innocent they could appear at times. And yet so troublesome in reality. You would think the shopkeepers and customers would have banded together to see it removed.
It was then that Noah noticed where her attention kept landing…a piece of parchment held within her grasp. “Hopefully it didn’t cause too much trouble,” he remarked truthfully. He himself would live with being hit in the face with water, no skin off his nose, but the personal assistant couldn’t help but wonder if she had had worse luck.

The former Ravenclaw had thankfully not had much interaction with the aforementioned poltergeist during her time at school. Perhaps it was because she was quiet and independent and kept herself to herself for the majority of her education to the point that she would be found in the library or the common room reading nook rather than off socialising with friends. “I’m lucky enough to have escaped being the target of Peeves pranks.” She found much more riveting conversation with the Grey Lady.
It wasn’t so much bad luck really as she was sure she’d be able to make something out of the list and if not she could probably buy anything in an attempt to keep Tabitha happy. The sisters were so close it would be impossible for them to stay mad at each other for more than two seconds. “Oh it was just shopping requests for my sister. She’s heavily pregnant with twins and.. cravings make people grouchy” she chuckled. “Just regretting my decision to not use waterproof ink.” To be honest she was regretting her decision to use a quill and ink altogether. What was wrong with an ordinary pen and paper she’d never know? The advantage of having a Muggleborn father.
