About halfway down the north side of the Alley stands Flourish and Blotts, the shop noticeable by its wide picture windows displaying all sorts of gold-embossed spellbooks, any new releases warranting advertisement and the occasional sleeping cat, as the shopkeeper’s two cats occasionally decide to make the window display their chosen napping place when they aren’t underfoot. Upon entry, all that seems to be visible are bookshelves, stacked to the ceiling and absolutely filled with books of all shapes and sizes. While it may look like chaos, there is a sort of order to the shelves and various stacks of books scattered throughout the main floor in addition to those shelved. A table sits close to the door which regularly holds sets of Hogwarts’ required textbooks every summer for the ease of students who may not want to hunt them down on their own, and a staircase, even more shelves filling the space underneath, leads up to a second floor that contains shelves of the various works of fiction from the Wizarding world and beyond.
Near the center of the shop stands the counter, where the shopkeeper can usually be found and which is also the location for the occasional book-signing or other book-related event. Surrounding the counter are displays of newspapers, magazines, diaries, journals and other small items that might interest the literary-minded customer. In addition, a large, leather-bound book rests on a small stand to the left of the counter: an index of all the books sold in the shop for the use of the customers who are in a hurry or simply don’t want to search through all the shelves on their own.
Toward the back of the shop, a door leading to a storage area and the small office used for paperwork and any other business the shopkeeper needs to take care of in private, a cat-door installed as well as the cats’ food and water while they’re in shop are there. Tucked away in various corners of the shop, half hidden by shelves and very cozy, are small reading nooks containing squashy chairs and small tables for a lamp, and a larger reading area including a fireplace can be found near one of the front windows. Enjoy!

Roman would have admitted that a library voice was his always voice, but soon enough this boy might notice that. He stopped, like prey caught in a headlight, and turned to look at the book. The eleven-year-old saw it almost as a peace offering, though there had never been strife to begin with.
He took the book and nodded. "S-sure," he said as she stepped back towards the stack of books and the boy. "Are you going to buy all these?" he asked curiously as he nodded at the stack. "I'm looking for murder mysteries," he admitted as he flipped through the book he now held. It didn't seem like a murder mystery, but it was interesting nonetheless. "And preferably written by a witch or wizard. I'm tired of muggle stories." The intrigue was there, but he found himself thinking of all the ways magic could solve muggle storylines.
Though, muggles DID write about magic a fair amount. Their ideas and creativity really showed in that regard, and he supposed a muggle murder mystery that still contained magic in some way was acceptable. He'd even take superpower ones. That almost counted as magic, right?
Kenneth was pleased the other boy took the book. It was intended as a friendship offering. He'd never made a friend before, but he enjoyed being given books, so he'd hoped (correctly, it seemed) that offering a book might enable this boy to be a friend.
He shrugged. "Maybe," Kenneth said. He wasn't sure his uncle would let him buy all of them, and he wasn't sure he'd even have time to read them all before school started. Or after school started. He examined the stack of books, looking to see if any of the titles sounded murder mystery-esque. None did, but that didn't surprise him...he wasn't sure what a magical murder mystery story would be called.
"I think these are all written by a witch or wizard," he said proudly. "I was looking for that sort, too, I've only ever read muggle stories." The one he currently had open was about some unicorn friends. If he could only buy one book, he thought it'd be this one. "Did you know unicorns are real?" he asked the other boy. He'd only just learned that today.

Roman had been about to say that would be a LOT of books to buy. He didn't think he had enough money from his papa to buy more than three at the moment, and would he even WANT to carry around more than three? Might be heavy.
He set the book back atop the stack in only mild disappointment. It didn't last, though, because the boy was being friendly. And he was being friendly about books. Roman couldn't talk to his twin about books a lot because his sister didn't enjoy reading like he did. He was finding that as they matured, they were growing more and more....different. She had different desires, goals, and likes than he did. It wasn't bad, but he was starting to think that maybe separate schools would work out for them.
Did he know unicorns were real? He scoffed as if the other boy had said something completely crazy and chuckled. "Of course I knew uni-" but he stopped at how serious he seemed. His face turned red at his blunder - clearly the boy was a muggle-born, and he might had inadvertently made the other boy feel stupid! And he hadn't meant to do that at all!
"I mean...yeah, I knew. I'm not from muggles. Are you?" he asked gently, still feeling awkward.

Well Elias was really quite the opposite. Although that much was obvious from looking at the pair. Ezra was all sunshine and excitement and huge grins whereas Elias was walking around as if a huge storm cloud was following him and putting a damper on everyone’s day. It wasn’t his fault that he didn’t want to be here nor that he considered himself above his fellow first years or that hordes of people weren’t his thing and he’d rather be holed up back at the estate with a decent book.
Great Uncle Nathan had clearly had too much influence on Ezra.
“You might do!” he retaliated. “You definitely will when you’re older.” Although it might’ve looked mean-spirited, at least Ezra was getting a reaction out of Eli. The majority of interactions he had would involve him completely ignoring the other party. Besides, wasn’t this what brothers did best? Wind each other up to no extent because they could and at the end of the day it wouldn’t put much a strain on their relationship. Eli would never admit it but he DID love his brother really.
Being compared to a Pygmy Puff was just NOT it. The grumpy expression on the eleven-year-olds face could tell you exactly that. “I have no fluff on me whatsoever!” Nor was he trying to act tough and strong. In fact being ‘tough’ wasn’t his aim whatsoever, he’d much rather intellectually outwit his compatriots. “Well our list says a cat, toad, owl or Pygmy Puff so you haven’t got much choice.” Not unless he was granted special permission from Hogwarts.
“What Mum doesn’t know can’t hurt her.” Where was he going to go exactly? He couldn’t apparate, he certainly wasn’t interested in Muggle London and he hated the crowds in the street.
The boys may have been different in many many ways, but there were some, teeny tiny similarities. Ezra loved to read, maybe not the same subjects as his brother who liked to think he was all highbrow, but he happily devoured literature, and he also loved the challenge of wizard's chess. That was another thing the two young boys could bond over.
Warts? On older Ezra? Ah heck no! “You're so mean. They don't run in the family so that's not true.” Ezra had not seen one Greenwood with a wart. Not ONE. “Anyway there's magical creams and potions that will zap them right away. Poof. Gone” The true advantages of being a magical being.
Ezra giggled at his brother's reaction to the puffskein comparison. “You might do when you're older.” He echoed his brother's earlier sentiment. “You definitely WILL do! When you start to grow facial hair. Eli Bumfluff!” He pointed at Eli. Oh this was actually quite fun.
He looked at the list and his smile faded into a little frown. Eli was right. You could only have a cat, toad, or pygmy puff. “That's so boring.” Mundane. What was the point of being magical if you could only choose from those particular creatures? “Maybe a cat then.” He pondered. “Or a toad might be cool too. I like toads. They're misunderstood.” Like a lot of creatures. Ezra didn't think they were gross at all despite the slime and warts. “Or--or a Pygmy Puff..”

Okay fine. There WERE some similarities between the two of them, they were related after all and they had exactly the same upbringing so there was bound to be some crossover somewhere. But in other ways they were oh so different. It had always made Elias think that perhaps because Ezra was the first born he was some sort of experiment for their parents. Or maybe it was because when Eli was born just eleven months later HE became the baby of the house and to compensate Ezra became a Mummy’s Boy. Or they could have just found him under a tree? Whatever it was, his brother was an anomaly and the eleven year old loved to judge him for it.
Although secretly, deep down, he was still his brother and he did actually love him. He just didn’t like to openly admit it that he was capable of such mundane feelings to anyone.
Yes it was true that none of the Greenwoods had ever been seen with warts, not even the elders. But that didn’t mean that Eli was going to let Ezra get away with winning this particular argument. Being stubborn and having the ambition to always win was two particularly strong traits within the young child, there was no second guessing what house he was likely to be sorted into. “Maybe an older student will decide that they don’t like you and curse you to grow warts and a really big nose and then what are you going to do?” Lets be honest if anyone was going to make an enemy of the other students it wasn’t likely to be Ezra.
Characteristically the male line of the Greenwoods, the descendants from Grandpa Ewan anyway, tended to be tall, dark haired and bearded so it wasn’t entirely a stretch. “I don’t even like the colour pink.. or purple.” He didn’t really have a preference for colours at all.
“Now you’re just copying me because I want a toad.” Ezra Toadwood. “You should get one of those hairless cats.” Not for any reason other than that they were a little ugly, in Eli’s opinion anyway.
The statement about their mother was met by a scrunch of the nose for it was true. Mothers DID always seem to find out information even when they tried their best to conceal it from her. Perhaps it was some kind of secret magic they gained when they had a child?

"I mean...yeah, I knew. I'm not from muggles. Are you?" he asked gently, still feeling awkward.
Kenneth had considered neither the cost nor the weight of the books. He'd just assumed, and not necessarily correctly, that his uncle would buy him whatever he asked for. He didn't ask for much normally, and books were the main thing he and his uncle had in common.
He blinked as the boy reacted a little...oddly to his question about unicorns. He didn't think it was anything to be embarrassed about, so he just smiled. "Yeah, I am!" He gestured about the book shop. "My uncle has more books than these, but they're all written by muggle so...nothing about real unicorns." He paused, unsure of whether it would be rude to ask whether this boy was also going to Hogwarts.
He decided it wasn't. "I'm starting Hogwarts in September. Do you go to school there too?"

"Are your parents muggles, then?" he asked curiously, his head cocked to the side. "I've never hung out with muggles or muggleborns before. It must be very new to you, all this," he gestured around them and smiled. "Like...the idea of magic and everything," Roman couldn't even imagine.
Real unicorns, eh? Roman couldn't help but grin at that. "I've never seen a real one in person, anyway. They're dead rare, you know," he informed the other boy. "I wonder if they'll have any at Hogwarts." He sure hoped so, though. Then he could pet it, maybe. Or maybe unicorns didn't like being pet. He didn't know much about them. "And yeah well...I'll be starting this year. A first year. I assume you, too? I'm Roman, by the way," he said softly as he held out his hand for the other boy to shake.
And Roman had a tiny, little voice that said, I'm making MORE friends? Because now he could count them! Phoebe...Charlie....who else? This kid? That would be cool, to start school with THREE whole friends. Who cared how many girls Regina knew at Beauxbatons? Because Roman was headed to Hogwarts with at least THREE friends.

Kenneth nodded like a bobblehead. It was very new, this magic thing. There'd been weird stuff when he was a kid, but his uncle had always chalked it up to poor supervision and Kenneth himself had just thought he was lucky. "My parents were archeologists," he informed the other boy. Which was, to his knowledge, 100% true. "And my uncle used to be a university professor, but he's retired now." Also true, to the best of his understanding, which was limited.
"I hope so," he said. All day he'd been thinking about meeting a unicorn. He thought he might think about it tomorrow, too, but time would tell.
"Oh, well..." He blinked at the boy's hand, then shook it lightly. "I'm Kenneth. Maybe we'll have classes together, then," he suggested. Since they were in the same year and all. "Maybe we can sit together, even?" Not that he was opposed to sitting alone with his stack of books, but...it was nice to have someone to talk to. Maybe they could both sit and read together sometimes. He hoped he wouldn't run out of things to read, being away from his uncle's library for so long.

Archeologists? Roman scrunched his face in thought. "So they're professional diggers?" he asked, trying to remember if that were the term for that. "And a professor? You're cut from intelligent cloth, then," he commented. "Your parents...they must be proud," he smiled a little. Unless they were the muggles that thought it was WEIRD. The other boy didn't seem like he came from those kinds of muggles, though, which was good.
Kenneth. Roman was about to continue the conversation when he saw his father's face in the window of the book shop and did NOT like the look his father was giving him. He was pointing at his watch, and Roman swallowed nervously.
Anton Gellar wasn't really strict, but he was harsh with his only son, and the man had his blonde hair tied back in a messy man!bun looking like he rolled out from the gym. He probably had, honestly, and Roman could see the shaky!cup in his dad's hand. "I have to go - my papa looks displeased with me," he said softly. "But Kenneth - maybe we'll see each other on the train! or at the feast! I'm hoping for Slytherin!" he said quickly as he shook Kenneth's hand once and then began to fleeeeeeee!

"Yeah, I guess so," Kenneth agreed with a smile. He'd never really thought about what being an archeologist had really meant for his parents' day-to-day. He supposed he could ask his uncle sometime. He beamed proudly when Roman commented on his [intelligent cloth and his parents being proud. They were dead, so he wasn't sure how proud they were, but...yeah, he supposed they would be proud of him. He nodded.
Kenneth's eyebrows raised, tilting his glasses upward a bit, but he managed to squeak out a "Bye Roman!" before the other boy rushed off. He looked after him for a moment, a little started by the abrupt departure. After gathering himself, he took the stack of books and went to go find his uncle. He needed to find out how many books he could get to take with him to Hogwarts.
Alyx walked into Flourish & Blotts, a splendid shop filled with old and new books, and asked, "Hello, if someone could help me purchase all the books I need as a first year student at Hogwarts, I'd greatly appreciate that. I'm looking forward to the start of term."
Alyx waited by a bookshelf and scanned some books.
Wow, the books all seem so useful... Alyx thought as she browsed the titles. From egg to inferno, a dragon keepers guide looked interesting. But she wasn't here to get distracted. She just wanted to pick up her schoolbooks quickly and move on to the next shop.

Not every Greenwood was a cardboard cutout of the previous generation. Ezra had predominantly been brought up by his mother because Carlos, at the time, he had been far too concerned with the affairs of the family business to pay the boy much heed. A time when things had been troublesome for the family, and their assets, their livelihood, were at risk. It didn't help that Uncle Nathan was always an owl away for babysitting duties, which he took on gladly whenever needed. The first eleven months of a child's life could be crucial in how you are formed as a person.
And, given those circumstance, of course Ezra was a mummy's boy.
Ooh.. Again with the snark! Hisses, mister. “I don't want a big nose!” He covered his button nose with his hand. “With all the weird magic antique stuff dad has collected over the years, there has to be something there to cure that.” Or, y'know, make it worse.. or kill you.“Or a Healer could make it alllll better.” But, “I'm not you. I don't want to make enemies just because I can.”
It did sound like Ezra was copying his brother, but when you were limited to the choice of three pets your options were.. well.. limited. “I like all Creatures. Cute and ugly and ferocious and snuggly. I wouldn't be getting a toad just because YOU are.” Like seriously, why would Ezra want to copy Eli of all people? He'd end up hated by the entire school. ..And that just made him sad all over again. He didn't want his brother to be despised. He wanted him to make all the friends. Even if those friends were exactly like him, and a group of little judging grumps, Ezra wanted Eli to be happy and content. And although the two fought like kneazle and crup, Ezra was still protective of the younger boy. Only HE was allowed to fight with him, mmkay?
“I don't want a hairless cat. If I have a cat, it has to be a cuddly one.” Those hairless felines were certainly cute, but they had a mean face and looked ready to eat yours while you were sleeping. Perhaps the perfect pet for his brother here instead of a toad then..
Fiorenza’s desire to find out more about her father was something she had kept from her grandparents. Given she hadn’t cared until she found out about all of this magic malarky, she didn’t want to insult them further. Because she was pretty sure that receiving letters from her via an owl and being forced to respond in the same way was insulting enough. The thought made the eleven year old shudder - imagine the droppings! She could scarcely believe people kept them as pets, but then she reminded herself that this was England, and, well…
It didn’t matter. What Nonno and Nonna didn’t know couldn’t hurt them, after all. And apparently what she didn’t know could hurt her, because Fio was quickly realising that she had no idea what half of the words on these spines meant, nor was she sure what she should actually be looking for. Of course, she wouldn’t be admitting that, or asking for help, and so she moved on, looking for something that she might better understand.
As she rounded a corner, she was surprised to see someone around her age crouched on the floor with a rather large book. At his smile, she offered one back, but it came out as something of a grimace instead. And given that she didn’t want to look lost, she pulled the nearest book down from the shelf and opened it, trying to make sense of the Lost Wizarding Families of the Twentieth Century.
Smiles - or whatever passed for them - exchanged, Yves was prepared to return to his book, and the search he already knew would be fruitless, only he couldn't help but eye the cover of the book the girl drew from the shelf. It moved too fast for him to read properly, even if it had been in French, but he was curious (and nosy) enough to surreptitiously glance up to read it under cover of looking around at the other shelves.
Only then he realised that trying to be subtle had been just as pointless as digging into the tome at his feet, because Yves felt compelled to speak up immediately. "Which family did you lose?" he asked, the stress ever so slightly on the 'you', though not enough to be too obvious about it. And he smiled again, to show it was... well... a joke. His jokes sometimes got lost, and he still wasn't sure if it was because of the language, the tone, the subject matter, or none of the above. Or all the above.
Some things were not supposed to be funny, and so naturally called for the lightness of humour simply by virtue of being too heavy to hold onto otherwise.

Her answer to his question brought him back to Earth and he raised an eyebrow. "Cameras?" he asked with a small chuckle, thinking she was joking. "What, like paparazzi?" he added with a joking grin.
Except now that he SAID it, it reminded him of an article he'd read recently, mostly out of boredom at his gran's house. He'd been trying to find something to do while he waited for her to finish fussing over her appearance so he could take her to lunch and grovel for getting such terrible OWL scores, and he'd read about a certain group of siblings attending Hogwarts this year...
"OH MY GOSH!! You're a Grimaldi, aren't you?!" he hissed, dropping his voice quickly. AHHHH! HE WAS TALKING TO A GRIMALDI! This was SO EXCITING! Not that he realized how exciting it would be until roughly five seconds ago...he knew OF her family and their band, had listened to them a bit, but hadn't really thought anything of it when he'd heard they were coming to Hogwarts. He'd been too nervous about OWLs stuff.
And now he'd probably gone and made her super uncomfortable. OOPS.
Now this was something that perplexed Bronwen. She lifted her own hand and inspected the back of it, wondering if there were any place she knew as well. Probably not, seeing as she never got to spend long enough in any one place to know it properly, as was life on tour. But, come to think of it? She didn't really know the back of her hand that well at all. "Wow! I don't know very much about the back of my hand," is what she concluded.
And while she knew very little about her hand, she knew lots about the paparazzi. Only, she wasn't sure that she was supposed to admit to it. So rather than confirm right away, she hesitated. And in the time that she hesitated, the older boy had come to the right conclusion all on his own.
Surprise took over Ronnie's features, though rather than react poorly to his outburst of realization, she absolutely PREEEENED. She offered him a sheepish smile, though she was not embarrassed whatsoever, and tucked her hair behind her ears. "How'd you know?" She asked, not realizing the connection he made with the paparazzi.

Arm in arm with her younger sister, Alouette dragged Pip into the book store with her, taking a deeeeep breath of that fresh book smell as she did so, before excitedly squeezing her sister's arm. "isn't this the most wonderful time of the year?" The rising seventh year tried to not show such open euphoria (being TOO happy was childish, okay), but in the company of only her sister it was safe. Plus... How could she help it?
Today was the day she waited for all term. Doing odd tasks here and there to save money, only to be able to blow it all here today. She could have been working on her book list for the school year, but that would have just ruined her fun. Today was for leisure books only, which was why she bypassed all the textbooks in order to drag Pippa towards the fiction.
She eventually released her sister's arm, only to pick up a book from the shelf and flip through the pages. "You planning on getting anything today?"

Curls piled upon the back of her head and pinned there by her wand, as had rather become her habit during the summer months, Pippa had grinned in response to her sister’s overly dramatic reaction to the smells of the bookshop. “Don’t most people say that about Christmas?”, she teased, returning the little arm squeeze as she let her eyes scan over the shelves in sight. She was used to Allie being like this by now, and honestly she herself enjoyed the general mood that Diagon Alley displayed during the summer. Even if sometimes she still missed the reserve, too.
Plus, she knew Allie wasn’t here for the seventh-year books, just as the rising fifth year Gryffindor was absolutely not letting her big sister drag her into the shop for her schoolbooks either. Even before she’d been dragged all the way over to the fiction section. It was just a known fact.
“D’you think they have any good vampire fiction?”, she responded, wandering to a different shelf. “Like Muggle stuff, but not Twilight.” Since she’d found the wizarding vampire stories weren’t quite as romantic and, well, interesting. Which the one Muggle series only qualified in one aspect. She was more Dracula, not sparkly vampires.

What he ought to have done, Cyp thought to himself as he prowled the shelves in Flourish and Blotts, was charm these sunglasses so that he could see through them sans tint, and yet remained darkened on the outside. He wasn't too bothered about the sunglasses making him stick out; some of the fashion choices he'd seen sported in Diagon Alley were a lot more bizarre than these. The addition of the baseball cap was pushing it, and so Cyp wore it backwards at least while indoors. After a couple of unfortunate run-ins this summer, he was firmly in the camp that it was better to stand out anonymously than to appear immediately recognisable. As for the height situation... well, there was nothing to be done about that.
But yeah. The sunglasses. Ought to have charmed them. At school, obviously, or gotten Lark or someone to do it, or else done it himself at home on the sly. Because, right now, Cyprien Grimaldi was having an absolute nightmare trying to decipher some of the titles on these book spines, given that he could hardly see them. He stopped halfway down a set of fiction shelves, pulled out one of the books, and flipped to the title page to see it a little better.
A Summer of Dragons. He let out a tiny sigh, pushed the book back into its space on the shelf, and continued edging his way up the aisle looking for something that he hadn't already read. And that looked interesting. And that he didn't own. That got its own category, see, because Merlin knew his 'to be read' collection was surprisingly unwieldy for a boy who loved to read like he did.
Should he perhaps focus more on finding some books to help with studying for his OWLs this coming term, given how much everyone seemed to expect from him? Sure. Definitely his second place priority. Absolutely.

Pip's observation was not incorrect, and truthfully Alouette had stolen the general sentiment from the aforementioned season. But they were far closer to the summer solstice than the winter, but despite her dramatics she also believed her comment to be 100% accurate. "Only be uncultured swine." She replied, a soft tease still to her tone as she gave a soft giggle. "Though of course if you think Christmas is the better time of year, I'll forgive you for your poor opinion, dearest sister."
Allie wouldn't have even begun to dream of torturing Pip like that. This was a big exam year for the pair of them, but it was still summer which meant neither one of them was allowed to already despair on what was coming. No, this was the perfect time to just find leisure books and enjoy the free time until September 1st rolled around.
At the question, she rising seventh year let go of Pippa's arm in order to explore more closely some of the shelves in front of them. She could see a few muggle fantasy options (though they all seemed to have dragons on the front of it. Silly muggles) but nothing vampiric yet. She grabbed one with a gothic looking aesthetic to the cover and took a glance. "This one maybe?" She said, as she passed it over to her sister, before grabbing something that likewise looked of a dark mystery. "Are we in a vampire era currently?"

Aryan didn’t necessarily need to get himself much stationery. For one thing, some could always be grabbed in Hogsmeade. He did adore Scrivenshaft’s and the always so colourful shopkeeper. Secondly, the little guy still had in his possession a whole lot of quills at the bottom of his trunk. Speaking of which, that trunk really needed to be cleaned out; Ary made up his mind to do so before heading off to Jan’s for the next couple of weeks.
With his sister already heading down one of the shop’s aisles, Ary headed down another, towards all the books. He was always eager to check out the creatures’ books, even if there were no new additions from the last time he visited. He halted before the section labelled ‘Bestiaries’, his dark eyes immediately surveying the titles. There were already a few that he owned like Babbling with Bowtruckles & Other Creatures, Dragon Species of Great Britain and Ireland and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. For some reason, Ary was today drawn to Bark and Bite: Understanding Lycanthropy's Strengths. For that reason, he reached for a copy of the book.
Transferring to Hogwarts meant new stationary and lot's of new booooks. Ariadne, one of the darkhaired Rose triplets stood with her list in one hand as she surveyed the shelves. Now where where the hogwart's a history book? Or the charms and DADA ones or COMC or Potions or? Alll the books lining the shelves had her feeling a bit dizzy to be honest.
Spotting the hogwarts a history book on the top shelf Ari stood up on her tip toes to reach it since no magic was allowed outside the school walls which now was a right pity considering that she wasn't the tallest. As she reached up she managed to loose her balance and next minute Ari sat on the floor with books all round...Oops!

New stationary was a must, because Johnny could bet all the Beauxbatons horses that he was going to be receiving and ABUNDANCE of letters informing him all about the infamous Hogwarts. Tiffany was both anxious and excited for what was to come - would she be a Hufflepuff like daddy? A Slytherin like mommy? A ravenclaw or gryffindor like one of her numerous cousins? Only time would tell, but one thing was for certain, there was definitely some people from summer a couple years ago that she was ecstatic to surprise the news of her transfer like Sydney or Greer. While she'd finally somewhat mastered French, it was actually going to be a relief to use her native tongue too.
Distracted of thoughts of her previous encounters, she hadn't realized sister stretching herself until Ari was on the floor. "Ari!!! Are you okay?" She collapsed on the ground beside her, feeling terrible for her daydreaming.

Johnny wasn’t sure how to feel about his sisters leaving him behind {they really weren’t, as he wasn’t ready to leave Beauxbatons and his friends there}. On one hand, there were ripples of happiness that Ari and Tiff having their desire fulfilled of heading to Hogwarts. On the other, he was going to miss them. Very much. More than he cared to let them both know.
Jon had been skipping off on his own, leaving the girls to their own devices. He had thought that perhaps he would find a book he liked enough to take back to Beauxbatons {not that he would read it, as he didn’t do much of that} but thought that perhaps it would entertain him when he fell into the unfortunate state of missing the girls. This wasn’t the case and he soon found himself seeking out Ari and Tiff. He found them soon enough.
“Hi!’’ Joyfully, Jon threw himself on the ground on the other side of Ari. “What are we doing on the floor, sisters?” he asked as he adjusted himself into sitting cross legged.
