Default Welcome to New Zealand!

Exciting things are happening in the land down under. Or, well... the island beside the land down under. In Waitomo specifically. The hotel has all sorts of accommodations, from those for travelers needing a good nights rest, to ones for those who are just looking for a place to safely store their extra luggage and shower. Many of the accommodations are for muggles, but a few have been personalized for wizards and witches, though rarely are they used. This is partly because of the Antipodean Opaleye Reservation that is begging to be explored by all who dare to cross within the reserves boarders. You won't need anything but your feet to travel these areas, and you'd be remiss to not have a camera to capture the site of these beautiful creatures in flight.

Another popular critter to see, much smaller than the dragons, and living on the ceiling of the Waitomo caves are glow worms. Join the muggles on the underground boat ride into the caves and be amazed as you look up to see what resembles the night sky at a glance, but what at closer inspection is thousands of tiny glowworms who call these caves their home. There's also the speedier and more thrilling boat ride through the caves that attracts the thrill seekers. Black water rafting is another way to see the glow worms while speeding through the underground river on round black rubber tubes big enough to seat one. If weaving around sharp turns and jumping off of the waterfalls underground isn't enough to give you a thrill, then we don't know what is.
