Morgan P. Nickles EraAll historical records pertaining to Ministry of Magic RPG under Minister for Magic, Morgan P. Nickles [IC January 2094 - December 2096; OOC October 2017 - October 2018]
And he was back. First day and nothing much seemed to have changed. Not about the building anyway, the people - or some of them - were different. Anderson leant against one of the tables in the food court, sipping his drink, his eyes darting back and forth, taking it all in and reacclimatising himself to the hustle and bustle of the Ministry.
He was watching those he knew and didn't know come in and begin to chat to each other. Interns. That's what this was all about. He'd left behind paperwork on his desk to come and greet the new folks starting their Ministry journey, the Law Enforcement folks especially. There was a handful to come, apparently. One of whom he was certain was now talking to Tempest. Hmmm.
A few more minutes and he'd go and introduce himself. First, he had a coffee to finish.
Chloe didn't mean to be 'that-guy' but she didn't really understand the point of this Ministry mingling party. Like, she'd been interning in the Minister for Magic's office for two years now (thank you, Marilyn) and she knew for a fact that intern time would be better served jumping straight into work than this weak attempt at bonding.
Look, they would either bond or they wouldn't.
And Chloe wasn't going to force relationships where they wouldn't naturally occur. They all would come to like each other on the job....or they wouldn't. She didn't care one way or the other how that shook out. Because she wasn't here to make friends, she had those already, she was here to help legislators and officials do their best work in shaping a world that existed on the backbone of equality. And that grand dream, that one that women for hundreds of years had dreampt before her and helped pave the way to progress, was far more important than this stupid party.
Besides, she was eager to get back to work with all of the fabulous women in the Minister's Office. Talk about movers and shakers. Those women were the real deal and, honestly, what Chloe aspired to be once she had finished with school and gotten her degree.
The one thing Chloe would take, though, would be her yearly green badge. She added this year's badge to her blouse and not-so-subtlety displaced the last two years badges on her bag as well. What? She was proud of the work she did.

He was not late, okay he was, but he hadn't meant to be late.
The egg smuggling case was exhausting and the paperwork with America was enormous so he had lost track of time.
Shuffling quickly to the food court he headed into the seating area with his tie a little lopsided. He stopped and looked around, there were plenty here already, but were his interns here yet? He didn't want them to see him being late, they might think it was alright for them. He was very much a do what I say not what I do kind of guy at this moment when he usually lead by example.
"Hello everyone, are the Cooperation Interns here anywhere?" He looked around at the new faces as well as the ones that were already wearing their badges. Glancing at the other Department Heads they all received a nod as well. Why was so many just standing around? "The specialty workers might get offended if you guys don't get eating their food." He grinned jokingly before he headed over to grab himself some.
Penelope was both nervous and excited for the start of her ministry internship with the department of magical transportation as she approached the large welcome sign. This was her first internship, and she didn’t have much work experience other than sorting and shelving books at her dad's secondhand bookshop. That was different though, because it was for the family business and it didn’t involve a lot of working with other people. There was also no magic involved in that particular job. Working here was going to be different from anything she had ever experienced, but that was exciting. Apparently she was going to be working with floo powder and floo network stuff, and she was going to be able to use her charms skills.
It looked like the interns were supposed to take a badge for the department they were assigned to. Inspecting the table, Penelope found an intern badge for the department of magical transportation and pinned it to her shirt. The badge happened to be a color that she liked too, which was a plus. She grabbed one of the intern goodie bags as well. Now, where were all the department of magical transportation people? Penelope heard someone say that she was the transportation department head, so Penelope headed over to introduce herself. Smiling at the woman, Penelope extended her hand for a handshake. ”Hello, I’m Penelope.”

Heels clicking, hips swishing and arms thrown out wide in greeting, Delphine came sashaying towards the growing crowd in the Seating Area of the Food Court. She wasn't late, was she? The reason was simple: it was a big and exciting event and naturally, she had to take extra care into her outfit. Unfortunately, she just didn't have the legs or the figure for an elegant dress (shh!) so a nicely-pressed pair of trousers had to do.
"Welcome interns and welcome employees!" she said in her usual singsong voice to the group at large. She was going to stand right over here, near the employees and other Department Heads so as not to feel tooo old. Some of the interns just look faaaaar too young! "Lynley, Mariel, Addison, dear...... thank you for being here. How many more are we waiting for?" She glanced down at her watch and gave it a TAP TAP! for good measure.
And where were her interns? She craaaaaned her neck this way and that to see any hint of a BRIGHT GREEN badge but nope! They weren't skiving off, were they?
Tut tut.

WAS THAT AN INTERN? The girl didn't even have to wait to say hello to Lynley because the brunette-haired woman was already on side of her, smirking in her smug way at the fresh meat. "Hello, you must be Penelope, I'm guessing?" she asked, wiggling her eyebrows. She shook hands with her with only one hand since the other was holding a small plate of food. "It's lovely to meet you, dear." She said with a genuine twinkle in her eye. WHERE WAS HER OTHER INTERN, HMM?
"Okaaaaaaaay, Delphine! I'm sure she wiiiiiiiiiiill!" she repeated the fake excitement right back at the Undersecretary. Because....Merlin. No. Go home, Delphine, with all that enthusiasm. Lynley couldn't handle it.
Also, Erec, Merlin. Too cheerful as well.

MLE - Auror Intern! For Tempest with Mentions of Ava and Noelle!

OMG JUNO WAS EXCITED! She was going to get a true look at what Aurors really got to do. Her future was just outside of her reach! She quickly made her way to the table with the Welcome sign over it and grabbed her goodie bag and the badge next to her name. She did a little jig to keep herself from squealing, and then put on the badge. She couldn't help herself. As Ministry employees entered and welcomed the interns, she smiled and said a quiet, "Hello." Back to them all.
Not too far away, she overheard a Ministry employee talking to Noelle and Ava, who both happened to be MLE interns as well, so she decided to head over there. "Hello all! Sorry to interrupt, but I am also an MLE Intern. My name is Juno Darcy and I'll be in the Auror Division." She internally danced at the sound of Auror Division coming out of her. She wasn't sure if she was supposed to shake the ladies hand or not, but she stuck it out anyway. "It's very nice to meet you Auror Chandler." She gave the woman a gentle smile.

Were the interns all here yet? The minister arrived without any sort of fanfare and checked the time. She was due to give them a quick welcome and then she'd need to be off for another meeting. Yet another meeting. And then after that ANOTHER. MEETING.
It was going to be a day of meetings. Perhaps she could trouble one of the level one interns to bring coffee.

Okay, first day of summer internship. Let's do this!Killian had made sure to dress for the occasion, but he didn't want to dress up too much. He was trying to look professional, not like a total nerd! There were already quite a few people there when he arrived at the food court and picked up his badge. Well, so far so good. At least they hadn't picked a stupid girly color for the DMC badges!
The dark-haired Gryffindor loaded his plate up with food and looked around. He said hello to each of the Ministry employees and other interns, giving each one a nod and a polite smile as he passed. Was one of them the DMC department head? He wondered if his dad was going to show up at this thing. Hopefully not because that would be kinda embarrassing! As he searched for a place to sit, he saw a few girls he knew from school (Ava, Noelle, and Juno) and waved at each of them. "Hey, ladies!" he greeted, flashing them a big smile.
Then he saw another familiar face (Griffin) and made a beeline for the table. "Griffin! Dude, long time, no see!" he said. "What's up?"

Dora and Rooney were NOT late. Nope. They were only running a little behind because Dora had had a couple of meltdowns outside the entrance. Whatever. Exestential crisis had been averted and now the two were making their way toward the very edge of the gathered group. Yep.
"Is my hair okay? And my lashes? Al said to tone it down... and I did...a bit. OH ewww... there are people I don't... people I'm not... eww there are people, " the seventh year whispered in rushed AND hushed tones at her friend. Of course she was nervous and chattering at him as her eyes swept the group again. No sign of her UNCLE RYU. Siiiighs. Also no Zander Adair. Why were they not here to greet her and put her mind at ease?!
But whatever there were other... people around for her to observe and eavesdrop on...
Ooooh! There was the Minister herself! Gosh she was so pretty... and her shoes were pretty impressive as well. THIS woman got a wide smile, but Dora didn't DARE approach her. Nope nope nope. The Minister likely didn't want to talk to a barely legal witch. Excuse while we gawk, ma'am.

Addison was keeping her blue eyes trained on each and every intern that stepped into the area. The one that picked up a badge for her department got a warm smile. "So I do," she replied lightly nodding her head at Lynley. "It seems like one of yours has arrived as well."
Making her way over to where her intern was standing, Addi gave a warm smile to the other department heads. Delphine got a moment of her time as the women was politely addressing her directly and this blonde was not rude. "One of my interns has just arrived so I'm waiting on two others, neither of the ladies have arrived." These young ones best be on time.
The Minister had arrived. Addison gave Althea a polite smile in greeting not wanting to take up the women's time since no doubt she was most likely busy and just wanted to collect her interns.
Speaking of interns there was hers. "Hello, hello. I'm Addison Anders, head of Mysteries. You must be Jonah?" she offered her hand.

Merlin, the room was getting more crowded with each new person... and new personality entered the room. Noelle liked that woman who held her arms out wide and welcomed everyone with her hips. That was how you entered the room.
And Ava was here! Noelle beamed at her wifey and edged over for her to join her. She nibbled on the goodies in her hand before looking back as the lady that she had spoken to was introducing herself. Tempest Chandler. Nice name.
Looking down at the piece of paper she received about her internship, she looked back at Ms. Chandler. "It says MLES Division." She wasn't sure what that specifically meant. Was she meant to be security?
Another familiar face joined her and she smiled at Juno who came over. She smiled back. "Hey!" Oh, Juno was in the Auror division. A little jealousy surged through Noelle because goal... right... there. But she extinguished that surge. "Oh wow! Auror! That's what I was hoping for." But MLES was good too...

"You look dashing, babe." She leaned in and whispered on Noelle's ear. A little compliment wouldn't hurt, right? More and more interns for other department arrived, most of them were her classmates like the grumpy Slytherin guy (Azzo), Chloe, Dora, and Killian. "Hey, Kill." Ava greeted the guy. Oh, there was Penelope Wright, too! She hadn't seen her since the former Head Girl graduated.
She noticed there was a woman who later was introduced as Auror Tempest Chandler. Cooooool, imagine if Ava was being called Auror Burton, hehehe. Oh, shoot. Where was her manners? "It's very nice to meet you, Ms. Chandler.... I mean, Tempest. My name is Ava Burton and I'm going to be placed at Auror division." The Gryffindor tried to manage herself speaking in a normal tone although deep inside she was squealing! Ah, too bad that her wifey would be put in MLES instead. But never mind, they were still in the same department too, weren't they?
Ava thought there were only two interns for Magical Law Enforcement, until someone showed up. "Hey, Juno." She smiled at the older girl. Well, at least she wasn't alone since the former Hufflepuff was also interning for auror division.[
Aaaand, there was the minister. Ooooh, look how charismatic she was.
------
It's hard to say if he was eager to meet the interns since most of them were his former students. But Jordan tried to be as casual as he used to as he walked to the cafeteria. Becca had announced that they accepted three students for the internship and he knew all of them as those who behaved nicely and didn't cause much drama, at least in his lessons. Oh, thank Merlin.
With a tumbler of coffee on his hand, the DMC officer approached the area where the welcoming intern party was held. Nobody from his department, including the lovely boss woman were here which was so surprising. "Looks like I'm a representative from Magical Creatures then." He spoke up and took a sip of his coffee.

Olly was there, leaning against the wall near the entrance, mostly just observing the young interns. She still wasn't entirely sure what to make of the idea in general, let alone have interns in their department. She doubted they'd get good ones, to be honest. Ones that really, well, cared about this. For now all she could do, however, was try to figure out which ones would be theirs. She'd picked a spot from where she could see the badges and was currently making sure not to miss who took the ones that were bright green.
So far she also hadn't spotted anyone else from her department. Weren't they curious? Because Olly certainly was, even if only to be one of the first to see whether or not the interns would be worth spending time on.

Azura wasn't late, she had gotten to the Ministry on time, she had just happened to run into Leon and they had gotten a bit carried away talking, finally though, her big brother had ushered her to where she was supposed to be.
Azura hung back as she usually did around crowds of people, and looked around for a moment before she moved to the table and got her Mysteries Badge. She took another minute to look around and see who all was here..
She saw Noelle, but she didn't go over to say hi seeing as her bestie was with her other bestie, best not to rock the boat. She did wave at Juno though, before looking around a bit and who else she could see.. she saw a few people she recognized, but still didn't want to bother anyone so she stayed in her corner with her badge.

Intern badges…that made things easier.
It helped make people aware at a glance that the young men and women that were now allowed in the Ministry of Magic as interns were actually supposed to be there. Which helped Simon’s job even just a tad bit easier. The Security division head made his appearance in the Meet and Greet, figuring to at least get a look at the new people he was to be watchful of. That was always the more interesting parts of his job…getting familiar with faces.
Don't mind the man that was being quiet at the moment, simply observing. That was his job. To see more than always being seen unless a visible presence was needed. Not that Simon was antisocial, offering the occasional nod and polite smile to people in passing.
Coffee finished. Minister present. It was time for him to actually speak to people. That was what this whole thing was about, after all. And there seemed to be a handful of people new and old for the MLE department, meaning he would at some point probably be working with them. So......introductions, were in order.
Pushing his sleeves up to his elbows, Anderson straightened his waistcoat and moved towards the group stood a few feet away from him. And he would have got there too, if a couple of young women hadn't crossed his path at just the wrong moment. Putting his hands out to stop a collision wasn't enough to stop a collision, and he bumped straight into the pair of them, letting out an audible "oomph"
"Excuse me. My fault." It wasn't, but they seemed nervous and new, and he wasn't about to accuse them of being careless. Not when he could easily take the blame. "You're not hurt, I hope?"

"Hello, interns!" Lynley said with a small wave. This overly friendly thing wasn't....natural to her, and she wanted to stop very soon. "Welcome to the ministry of magic! Perhaps our minister will grace us with her presence soon!" She said. Hopefully."I'm the Transportation department head. If you haven't already, feel free to grab some food and a goodie bag." Since the ministry was like, SUPERINTO the goodie bag thing. Lynley just wished their budget for said goodie bags were bigger. Imagine that cool things they could have provided interns with.
Also, why were none of her employees here? Did she need to have a chat with them?

Was it strange that Chloe felt a bit old suddenly, when she considered about the Ministry playing host to interns? Sure some of the interns might be only a year or two younger than her, but she had been working for the ministry for THREE years now, which on some level put her as having 'work experience'. Strange feeling indeed; even more so when she heard talk of the two names who were going to be interning in Magical Transportation. Colt Winchester and Penelope Wright. Penelope she knew a little better, as the girl was only two years younger than herself, not to mention a year younger than Hayley Diggory, who was her housemate. But it was strange to think because they both younger than her, both out of Hogwarts now, and both interning. Hence her feeling old, even though she was merely 23 years young, thank you very much.
"Penelope Wright!" The ginger greeted with enthusiasm upon seeing the female half of the level six interns. "Welcome!" And she probably didn't know her? Oops? "Chloe Adara, A Portkey Manufacturer in the Department of Magical Transportation." And they could chat later? A smile for you, Ms Boss Lady, cause we're here and being welcoming.
Ugh. This was stupid? A meet and greet? Honestly, the only reason why Tia signed up for this internship was because it offered a decent amount of experience AND it was an excuse to visit with friends in England. And she was already regretting it.
She had a degree from Wizarding University; it wasn't as if she needed the experience. She even had a job waiting for her return to Australia in September, but the opportunity to explore other avenues presented itself and who knew? Perhaps charms development could come in handy with her passion for creatures.
Eying the table with distaste, she rolled her eyes at the fact that THE British Ministry of Magic didn't even have the decency to personalize the name badges. Honestly; sure they were only here for a couple of months, but they could at least treat them like they were people. It wasn't like they didn't know the names of the people who were interning, given they had to accept them.
Nonetheless, she picked up one of the purple ones and a goodie bag, not even really caring what was in it and thinking she'd probably discard in someplace later on, when whirled around on the spot at hearing an ALL-TO-FAMILIAR name. Penelope Wright!? Was interning here too? It almost made her feel bad for not keeping up with the younger eagle and fellow student leader since she graduate; she had heard she replaced her as Head Girl, leading to a three year reign of eagle head girls. But other than that, well, she honestly knew nothing, but did make a note to figure out where she was working because catching, even if it was four years late, was going to happen.

Rachel was ecstatic and full of enthusiasm. She had made sincerely hoped that she would be interning at the Department of Environmental Regulation and Protection and it really had happened. She couldn't stop smiling as she collected one of the badges for the said department.
Oh! There were so many here already! Rachel recognised Ava, Noelle and a few others including the Minister whom she decided to approach after a moment's hesitation. "Hello, Minister. I was wondering if you could point out the Department Head for Department of Environmental Regulation and Protection.'' As it was, the Ravenclaw hadn't the slightest inkling of whom that might be.
Colt was excited to start in internship at the Magical Transportation section of the ministry. He would be working with brooms which he was always fascinated with. He needed to dress right for the job. He went out the night before and got some dress pants, slacks and a suit and tie. He even gelled his hair back to look the part. As he made his way to the ministry and went through the doors, he saw there were other interns here too. Woaahh now this was all new to him. Did he have to socialize with anyone? Only if they came up to him and forced him to make a conversation, until then he would have to carry on and find his boss. He bumped into a few people and muttered sorry.
He thought he was early but according to this crowd, he was fashionably late. Now the remaining question though was where his boss could be? I mean there seemed to be a lot of bosses talking to their interns. He hoped he could make a good impression.

As she was chatting it up with Penelope (and Lynley), Chloe noticed the late arrival of one former younger Slytherin. And even though he was like four years younger, he hadn't changed TOO much that wasn't unrecognizable to the redhead.
"Colt Winchester! Get your Slytherin gel haired self over here now!" Chloe waves, holding out the transportation intern badge for him to take. Not that he expected him to remember herself, but she just had this uncanny knack for recalling even those a few years younger - especially when they were in the same houses as her best friends.

Griffin was quietly sitting at the table eating as he heard some of the department heads talking. It was interesting, but he still wasn't sure if he knew which one was his or if he was even there. He had gotten the owl, but that was it. As he looked around he noticed the minister. Now that was an exciting opporutunity one didn't get everyday, so instead of just sitting at the table Griffin backed up and wheeled himself over towards the minister. "Hello Ma'am it is a pleasure to meet you." He may have forgoten to even say his name, because the lady that was standing by him had mentioned the department he was interning.
"Hello, did you see Department of Enviromental? That's the same department I'm going to be interning in this summer." That was great to see someone else that was in the department, now if only he knew which of these older people was the department head.

Erec finally took a moment and fixed his tie then grabbed some food. No way would he miss out on the catering, it was pretty good and since he was a single man on his own, he didn't always eat the most home-cooked meals. Anything he could just heat up with a wand did well on most occasions.
Instead of taking a seat though he decided that maybe he should mingle and find his own interns. Seeing two that had just come in he decided he would start with them. "Hello, Erec Delacroix, depaterment head for the international cooperation. I hope you two didn't have any trouble with security coming in." He knew that security knew they were getting interns, but you never know at times.

So far she also hadn't spotted anyone else from her department. Weren't they curious? Because Olly certainly was, even if only to be one of the first to see whether or not the interns would be worth spending time on.
Once Griffin was done speaking to the minister he wheeled himself over to another spot in the room near the badges. He had already picked his environmental badge up and had it proudly on, but he wanted to see if there were other's that would take them, plus he maybe hoped it would have a map to where the department was located.
Not seeing a map, but seeing a person alone he moved a bit closer. "Excuse me, but would you be able to tell where exactly the department of environmental protection is. I'm going to be interning there and I'm afraid I haven't found the department head as of yet." Though the man could be somewhere in the crowd, there did seem to be plenty of people at this welcoming.

Prepared, that was what Priscilla was. She had been ever since she'd received her acceptance letter, honestly. Getting some work experience here in the Ministry of all places was the perfect way to spend her summer before starting university.
So she had gotten up early to make certain she was ready on time, with the perfect, professional, nice outfit. Make-up subtle and natural-looking. Not a hair out of place.
Entering the Ministry at first, though, was a little overwhelming, she would admit. But it didn't take too long to figure out where she was going, and now she was here. And a lot of other people were here already too. That was good, yes? Even if it did make the area a little crowded and confusing.
She did spot the table with the goody bags and badges though, and also noticed another somewhat familiar girl with a Mysteries badge (they both went to Hogwarts perhaps?), so she grabbed a bag and the appropriate badge and walked over to her.
"Looks like we'll be in the same department, so might as well stick together, yes?" she said with a smile. Probably would make it easier for their department head to find them if they grouped up. "I'm Priscilla Lovegoods, by the way."

Well, this was pretty exciting, yeah?
For Penelope it was, or at least she hoped it would be. Having a few interns in MLE would surely bring in some fresh new excitement, which she was very eager for considering she was currently unable to go out on all the exciting fieldwork missions and action due to being a little over 7 months pregnant. Paperwork was only interesting for so long (which wasn't very long to begin with) - better than doing nothing, of course, because she much preferred working in some capacity, but it still wasn't exactly thrilling.
So of course she was here, seated at a table and observing for now. Looked like Tempest Chandler had accumulated a small group of the kids already. Heh. Those would be the MLE interns it seemed?

Right.. More Children *cough* Interns.
"Pleasure to meet you, Ms Darcy and you as well Ms Burton. You two will be with me it looks like." Though again, what was she supposed to make them do? Maybe paperwork of some kind? Or maybe her Department Head had something for the interns to do. But if so she had no clue what it was.
Her american accent probably set her apart from everyone else in the room as she talked to the small group of girls. all girls the thought dawned on her and she thought it was pretty cool that these girls had an interest in Law Enforcement. She remembered being their age and being told that this was something for her brothers to do. Boy did she prove them all wrong.
"Yes, Ms Summers. I believe that means you'll be with our security officers.
It's equally important and prestigious." She didn't want the girl getting discouraged from wanting to join the ranks of the MLE one day. Because even though they were interns now one day they wouldn't be and security was very important. Without it anyone could come in and harm employees or take things from the department of mysteries. ANYTHING could happen without good security. She pointed Summers to the only security officer she could see.
"This way." She led the girls closer. "This is Simon Bennett, He's one of our Security Officers, so you'll be working with him and his team Ms. Summers." Honestly she might get more hands on work than the Auror Girls.

Soooo here she was at this intern event as opposed to doing other things that were WAAAAY more interesting. Wasn't Gabby just the most wonderful employee? Lynley had better appreciate this, especially seeing as there weren't too many others from her department there; Chloe was at least and Chloe was all right.
Not that she really wanted to socialize with her or anyone else here for that matter...
Trying to keep from rolling her eyes, she scanned around the room and her eyes landed on her niece. Oh, right. Archer had told her that Ava had signed up to do this internship thing; really it wasn't a surprise given her rather extroverted nature. Her twin brother obviously hadn't gone for it because he wasn't anywhere to be seen, and it didn't seem to be his crowd. Anyway, she should probably say hi... And before she could stop herself, she was walking right over to her and the people she was with.
"Hello," she said to everyone just to be polite. "It's nice to see you here, Ava. I hope that you enjoy your time at the Ministry." Really she actually did.
Well, this wasn't bad so far. It seemed that the people were friendly enough. Well, the Transportation and Magical Cooperation Department Heads seemed nice enough at least. And there was the Minister of Magic, which was pretty cool! Of course he presence was to be expected, but that didn't make seeing her any less interesting.
Jonah supposed that he should do some socializing, but the thing was that the pretty much failed at it. While at Hogwarts he hadn't made all that many friends, and now he was almost 20 and a lot of the people that he HAD known from school weren't there. That was okay though... he would probably get friendly with the other interns in his department because surely he wasn't going to be the only one in Mysteries. It was during these thoughts that his Department Head came walking over and introduced herself. He smiled. "Yes, I am. It's nice to meet you," he said as he took her offered hand and shook it.

Ugh. This was boooooooooooooring. Weren't parties supposed to be ... sparkly? Where were the sparkles? There was positively NOTHING here that the sixth year felt worthy of her time to stealthy slip into the pockets of her dress. Not even those goodie bags. Ministry memorabilia? No thanks. They could keep their budget pens and mugs and ghastly t-shirts that didn't glimmer.
Pfft.

Ahem.
Adjusting her PINK badge, Sachiko caught sight of ... what was her name again? That one Ravenclaw girl. Whatever her name was. HER. That one putting on a green badge. Ugh. Competition for top spot on the level? Sachiko was pretty sure she had better cuticles so whatever.
Still, the Slytherin offered a poliiiiiiiiiite smile at her. Which really came off more as an insincere sneer but whatever.

Oh look. There was a woman who OOZED confidence and demanded attention. Heh.
Sachiko supposed she ought to go over and introduce herself and do a little buttering up. Only that proooooobably meant she would have to subject herself to SERVANT like duties. Fetching coffee, fluffing pillow, giving hair advice and whatever. All things that she had always considered below herself and made first years do FOR her. Or daddy because he was totally and completely wrapped around her finger. Tehe.
So ugh. Fine. FIIIIIIIIIIIIIINE. She would...give this a try she SUPPOSED. All for the sake of becoming Ministry Royalty and bragging rights. May as well get SOMETHING out of this BORING experience.
"Good day, Minister," came her force sing-song voice with a sweeeeeeeet smile. "Sachiko Shiradou-Morrison. I've been bestoyed the honor of interning with your office specifically." Although it was REALLY the other way around. She was a gift.
Oh look. There was a former Head Boy. Hmmm. Eh.

Lady crush: activated!
It wasn't much, but it was enough to throw a little variety into what was otherwise a standard security sweep. Truth be told he really just wanted to swing by and harass his niece. He had been looking forward to this day from the moment she had told him she would be interning here over the summer -
ignoring all the incriminating brotherly slip ups she had on him that could land him in hot water with Kurumi.
Family dynamics. So pleasant.
"There's my GryffinDora," he grinned as he marched over to the table and helped himself to some snacks. Man had to eat. And just for added embarrassment he sauntered right on over to her and hung an arm loosely around her shoulder. Should he ruffle her hair? Why yes, yes he should. "Hope you didn't waste too much time on your hair this morning."
Sweet solstice.
Airey Flamsteed was in the middle of running some research through various platforms across the Ministry and had happened to pass through the seating area with said research in his hands - plenty of for himself and Brighton to work on in regards to the nature of that portal at Hogwarts and its association with the evolution of magic and specter properties in the universe. His childlike magical astrophysicist was salivating nonstop at the potential to be had and physics of magic harnessed...
...where was he? Oh yes. He was promptly making his way THROUGH this area as discretely as possible. Which meant for the lanky blonde former Hogwarts professor...not discretely at all.
Sweet solstice he knew the majority of these interns. "Live long and prosper," he muttered hurriedly as he made he way by. Yes, it WAS charming to see so many of these aspiring faces again but he had important business to attend to at present.

Etta was ready. In fact, she'd been ready ever since she had applied for the internship but the girl was still anxious. Excited but anxious. She wasn't late, nope. In fact, she had gotten ready way ahead of time, impeccably dressed. 'Cause dress to impress, right? Her creatures badge in hand, she stood near the entrance for a little while before realising that she probably looked a little awkward. Oops.
She slowly made her way towards the seating area, waving at some familiar faces. She did consider approaching them but wasn't that keen on interrupting conversations so she continued walking, a small smile on her face. Spotting an empty seat, she sat down, glancing around a bit. Despite her nervousness, this was such a great opportunity and she just couldn't wait to start working.
