Stemp House Fundraiser-Rounders While the carnival area is still going on some have made their way to the stadium seating located around the Quidditch practice pitch. That is because they might have a player about to have some fun or they are curious to see what this muggle sport Rounders even is. The community had a chance to sign up to play on one of the teams to support the day's event and if they signed up they will be wearing a team shirt. Some of the players in today's game might know what Rounders is, some might just be learning, but either way, it is going to be a fantastic time. The teams are set up and ready to go, team one will be in Red and they are on the field first whereas team two is in yellow and up to bat first. Team one: Janis Matilda Pearl Ashery Lewis Chloe Adara Airey Flamsteed Dylan Chambers Giles Low Matt Solo Team Two: Kori Lewis Aaron Rose Javier Hernandez Zinnia Shacklebolt Milo Jordan Kieran Wolford *please mark in your title when you are a player doing a play so both teams can see you aren't just a spectator |
Janis was feeling a mixture of nervousness and excitement as she made her way onto the field, being a member of Team One. She thought this would be a great way to get to know her fellow Ministry workers properly, especially those that were on her team. |
Wait, HOW did he end up here? Javi was quite certain he had NOT signed up to play rounders. Had he somehow gone back when he was a leopard seal and added his name to the list? No, that made zero sense. None of this made sense. Still, it was part of his job to participate in this stuff so...here he was. Against his will, essentially. And he had to wear yellow. It was his WORST COLOR. |
Mind if he pitches.... The only question Giles Low had right now was why on earth were they not batting first. As a beater he would have been more than thrilled to bat first, but right now they were on the field and he was going to have fun with this. The Quidditch Pro lived in a home as a child before being adopted by his muggle family, so he had a soft spot for homes that actually took in magical children. He had done many fundraisers and volunteer work at different homes, even adopting his daughter. Walking out to the field he smiled at everyone that was there so far. "Hello" giving a wave to a woman (Janis) "Does anyone mind if I pitch a little?" That's what it was called at least that's what he remembered or thought he remembered. He wouldn't do it the entire time since other's should have a turn too, but right now he thought it could be fun. Picking up the ball he looked towards the other team to see if they were ready. |
It was almost like fate, Chloe decided, happily donning the red shirt and feeling very much her Gryffindor spirit alive and well. She didn't even care in the slightest that she was up against her uncle. It was actually motivational for her because it meant she had every incentive to beat him. At least that was the intention. Crossing the field to stand by the third base, the ginger waved happily at Giles and Janis, before squinting at her uncle. And sticking her tongue out at him, just because she could. Aaron was maybe an idiot for signing up for this, given that he was maybe one of the oldest playing. But the former Professional Quidditch Keeper figured it was for a good cause and even though he wasn't actively playing quidditch anymore, he was still in pretty decent physical condition. Not to mention he got to play opposite team from his niece whom he was nearly confident he could whoop her easily. At least that was his intention. Yes, he saw her sticking her tongue out. He just gave a smug look right back at her as he waited his turn to bat. Could he go up to bat first? Would Javi mind? |
Janis smiled and waved at the man (Giles), giving him a nod as she said, "You're welcome to pitch". She didn't want to pitch so she stood by the second base as she then saw Chloe and returned the woman's wave. |
