Shrugging her leather jacket over her work shirt, Mammy leisurely made her way towards the restaurant not far from the ministry. Being neither late nor early for her lunch date, she took the short time to enjoy the sunshine-y day and to walk as slowly as possible across the street to annoy the drivers. Yes, beautiful day with all the car horns filling the air.
Although, it seemed she was still the first one to arrive. Being seated for a table for two, the woman leaned back in her seat, scanning the restaurant for a familiar face, or none at all. Maybe make a face or two at a couple. Something to pass the time while she waited.

Leza tried to be on time. Honestly she did; but some times people just wouldn't let her leave class. Yes, she knew that they had been having an interesting discussion but that didn't mean that she wanted to still be talking about it twenty-five minutes after class was supposed to be finished. Everyone else looked just as annoyed and flustered when their Professor finally let them go.
Silently, Hazel was really glad that she had told Mammy that she would be able to meet her half an hour after her class had ended. It meant that when she rushed into the restaurant, she was only five minutes late. Finding the Italian's face in the crowd was easy, she was used to searching her out. Quickly, she moved to take the seat opposite her and gave her an apologetic smile. "Sorry, Mammy. Professor wouldn't shut up.... again." She said softly, a smile on her lips. "How's your day goin'?" She asked?

Gnawing on an ice cube from the ice water that was eventually put in front of her, she was making a particularly well thought out and precise expression at a family not sitting too far from her when the blonde, no, redhead, sat across from her, blocking her view. She kept forgetting about that little color detail difference and so didn't inhale the ice cube. What. Pfft.
Though if she had, it went down easy and no fuss was made.
"Better now that you're here," she smirked as she sat up. Smoooooth. "It's fine though. Nothing too exciting, but please tell me that professor made the overtime worth it or someone finally cursed them into silence."
Blind dating was exhilarating, in the sweet Merlin please let this guy be as good as I'm hoping kind of way. Sure, she had some expectations set - was that a bad thing? Becca didn't think so, as expectations let her know right away whether this was going to result in an early declaration of CHECK, PLEASE! or if this could escalate into something... more.
When she arrived, she immediately set to scanning the restaurant for a man around her age seated by himself, but before she could find someone who fit the bill, she was approached by the waiter. Patiently explaining the situation, Becca was led deeper into the restaurant, and she held her clutch bag (that was stylishly charmed to match the color of her dress) close to her body as she skimmed the faces of those already present...
...There was a man sitting alone. Was he...? Oh, Merlin. The waiter was leading her there. To him.
Years and years had passed, but Becca Parker was good with faces, and she knew this one - as a former people-watcher and appreciator of handsome boys at Hogwarts, she knew this Seeker. Never spoke to him personally, but the younger man... yes, she knew who he was, but she hadn't seen anything about him in quite awhile - had he not gone on to pursue a career in Quidditch? With impressive skills like him in his youth, it was a wonder that he hadn't, actually.
It took her a moment to register a name with the face, but she did just in the nick of time as they reached the table. "Jake Upstead." It might have sounded like an accusation, but a smile graced the woman's features as she subconsciously scrutinized him from head to toe. "Is that really you?" She knew it was - he still had the same general features, just a bit more manly with an extra dash of handsome - but Becca thought it best to seem uncertain for the time being. She bet he didn't recognize her one bit.
Even though he'd barely been sat there a few minutes, Jake found himself getting more anxious about this whole situation. Merlin, what if he got stood up? Imagine having to walk out of here, alone, after being sat there all night, alone, and eating, alone, after clearly waiting for someone else to show up. Jake wasn't TOO fond of the idea of looking like an idiot in public, and he tried hard to not imagine the possibility, but it was hard to shake.
He'd been watching the door for a while, observing people coming in and out, feeling a jump in his chest whenever he spotted a lone female walk in. And then he watched the waiter talk to one of these women and lead her right towards him, and there was no doubt that this was her, his blind date. LUCKY him. Wow. Okay.
She looked vaguely familiar, and though Jake couldn't place it, there were very few places in the wizarding community that he was likely to recognise people from. It made him nervous. As the woman got closer, all Jake could really process was the colour of her dress, and now he didn't know if he was more disappointed or glad that he'd not gone with his pink shirt that evening; matching was... probably bad.
Then she was THERE and Jake got up out of his seat (he'd been practicing... with Dale, ahem) and it was soon pretty evident that SHE recognised HIM. From where? Hopefully not Hogwarts, though Jake had that sinking feeling...
"It really is," he replied, smiling and hoping he didn't look as nervous as he felt. "The one and only." He thought about adding 'THE INFAMOUS' but yeah, no. Don't do that. "... Uh, I'm sorry. I know I recognise you, I just... can't place you. We were at Hogwarts together, right?" A big guess, but as he'd BLOCKED OUT a lot of his Hogwarts years, it was probably safe to assume that he'd forgotten her from there. Wait. Hold on... "... Park...er? Parker?" Her name, like?
They were still standing, but Jake was totally gonna go pull her chair out for her ANY SECOND NOW. Yep. Yeeeeeep. Wait for iiiiit.

Annabelle had just recently gotten the news of Gregoire's death at Hogwarts. Pity. She knew that boy well, and was a friend to the family. Her condolences went out to their loss. Even though, his stupidity did in fact get the best of him. That boy was more of a Gryffindor sometimes. Always running into problems without thinking it through. Unlike his younger sister. From what the metamorphmagus could remember, his sister would always think things through. Always using her surroundings to her advantage. Only attacking when her opponent let their guard down. Remembering the two dueling once, Gregoire was the primary attacker, while she was the primary defender.
Still, even though it was his stupidity that bested him, Annabelle had to feel sorry for the family. She just had to. It was proper and polite.
To get her mind off of that thought and the stress of work, the ex-Ravenclaw woman walked to the restaurant across the street. Her wand safely tucked inside the holster stitched on the inside of her coat. The DMLE badge was also pinned carefully on the inside. To ensure to no muggles would see them, and start to ask questions. Otherwise, she might just have Obliviate the sorry and innocent person. Even still, doing that in public wouldn't settle very much amongst her co-workers in the Ministry.
Fixing her navy blue, curly hair, the lady took a seat outside, since it was nice out. Notebook and pen taken out, she jotted something down real quick.

Beth was running very very very very late! She was suppose to meet Mr. Mitterball in his office by the end of the day and yet here she was trying to wrap up her lunch. She had sent an owl stating she needed to eat or she would simply parish! There was no other way around it. Lunch was required. So making her way across the way to a little restaurant Beth bounced in and looked around. Every single table was full!! Every single one. Dear Merlin! It was Murphy's law that whenever you were in a hurry that was how it happens. ugh Face palm.
Seeing a rather....nice.??? Beth certainly hoped so, nice woman Beth made her way toward the table. "Excuse me, every where else is full. May I sit?" Beth wasn't sure what she would do if the woman had said no.

Looking up from her notebook Annabelle replied with a warm and friendly smile. "Yes you may sit." Gesturing to the other chair. It appeared this woman was in a hurry. Extending a hand Annabelle said "The name's Annabelle, by the way." The woman's French accent swiftly and delicately ringing through the comforting Spring breeze.
That's when she saw it...the dreaded scar that stupid Imp gave her years ago back at Hogwarts. Ever since her first year, Annabelle had been deatly terrified of the little beasts. One bite the space between her thumb and index finger leaving a nasty little scar. The individual teeth marks could still be seen. This would not do. Not do well at all.
Hoping the other woman didn't see it, Annabelle quickly used her metamorphmagus abilities to change her hands. They still fit anatomically with her body, but, the scar no longer showed on her left hand. Thankfully.
Under her breath the MLE worker muttered "Stupid Imps."

Hazel couldn't help the small okay, it was a large and knowing smirk that slipped over her lips as she sat down in front of her girlfriend. Partly due to the mocking, teasing look she had been sending at the children across the restaurant who were getting told off by their parents for making faces - but mostly due to the look that Mammy gave her when she once again remembered about her newly scarlett head of hair. Hazel knew it had been a gamble - but it had proven a very good pay-out.
"Well, of course." The Scottish woman said, flipping said hair over her shoulder with a soft laugh. She crossed one leg elegantly over the other, sitting quite happily across from the Italian. She sighed, pulling her eyes away from Mammy's face. "No. Unfortunately, he decided to do an 'over view'," she made quotation marks with her fingers, "of the lesson... which ended up almost as long as the actual lesson." She sighed.
"At least we heard most of the information twice - hopefully I won't need to revise this lesson as much as they rest." Trying to be optimistic, she grinned and sat up straighter. "However, I am here with you now... school can be forgotten for now." Leaning forward, Hazel smiled as she leant her elbow on the table, her forearm resting along the outside of the table with her hand upwards. Y'know. Just in case Mammy wanted to hold hands. The redhead was smoooooooth like that.
"How was work today?" She asked the Obliviator, with a smile. She missed working at the Ministry - she couldn't wait until she finished her Masters so that she could return to working with Jasper and the other Unspeakables.

She would have expected fancier when she was asked to dinner, but this was business and he was only another manger, so she knew how much he made. Rebecca walked up to the door and looked in. Was he here yet? She hoped she had made him wait at least a bit. That was her style and all. Checking her perfect appearance in the glass, she walked into the restaurant. Giving the hostess the name she figured the reservation was under.
Had she beat him? Well now this just wouldn't do. Thinking maybe she should just leave and come back in about a half hour or so, Rebecca decided to sit and use another angle. The you made me wait angle. No one made Rebecca Maroon wait. She always got what she wanted and she would this evening just the same. She needed a new seeker and even though the team had a horrible season she knew he had what she wanted.
Her plans were set, now that she had players she actually thought could win this season. This last one would seal the deal.

Kieran had a very busy off-season so far. Coming off a terrible losing season would do that, he supposed, as he needed to spend the months before the new season rebuilding his team and looking for ways to overcome their losses and defeated attitudes. He thought maybe it was more difficult managing a team that he had played on for years, feeling that maybe he couldn't make as unbiased decisions as he should. Many of the players on the team had been his friends and teammates for years. But he had to get over that if he wanted a successful team.
He had manged to secure a new chaser he had put a lot of stock into and he was hoping to trade his seeker as well. Madsen was a great guy but his performance last season had been less than ideal. And when the rest of the team had been struggling, a solid seeker was essential. Kieran found it difficult for other team managers to want to discuss trades with him however, so he was a little surprised when Rebecca Maroon agreed to meet him for dinner. He knew of her reputation though and that she nearly always had an agenda, so he'd be sure to stay on his toes.
Walking into the restaurant, Kieran glanced around as he headed towards the hostess station. He spotted Rebecca already seated and made mention to the hostess that the other half of his party was already there, so no need to seat him, he'd see to it himself. Heading over to the table, he gave the woman a friendly smile. "Mrs. Maroon, thank you for meeting with me today." He took the seat across from her. "I hope you weren't waiting long.." He didn't make it a habit of making women wait on him, but at least he hadn't been late.

Oh there he was, it was about time. Rebecca watched him walk towards the table. Only a manager or not she was going to enjoy the view. Ugh he used her last name, she had come to dislike that name. “Please it’s Rebecca and don’t ever make me wait again.” She sipped the wine that she had already ordered and motioned for him to have some. She wasn’t one to wait for a man for her drink, so she hoped he liked red wines. She wouldn’t get right down to business, but she had it on her mind. Why not have a little fun while she was at it.
“So how’s your off season been? I’m hoping you fired the majority of your team.” That’s what she would have done, “Just signed your girlfriend to a three year extension so don’t have any ideas in your head to get her under your management.” He eyed him to make sure he understood. Taking up the menu she only looked for a second, she already knew what she wanted.
[b] “So you need some players and I want your seeker. I think I can whip him into shape and get him playing very well with my team. That and I am tired of dealing with the one I have.” She wasn’t found of her seeker and she knew he didn’t have room to bargain with many.

Kieran glanced up and gave the woman the hint of an amused grin. "Rebecca it is, then." He supposed he could understand, many people liked to be called by their first name especially when it was a casual situation. He didn't comment on the waiting bit, not entirely sure if she was joking or genuinely annoyed that he wasn't early. Instead, he took a sip of the glass of wine that was in front of his place setting, assuming it was for him. "Thanks for the insight, you have great taste." He was sure she'd agree with his little bit of flattery.
"Off-season.. has been busy." He leaned back a bit in his seat. It often was, especially as the pre-season drew near, but this one was even more so with his restructuring. And he'd figure she'd expect that, she was sure to know of his team's record last season. He laughed a little. "Didn't fire the whole team, no.. but we have some new faces." Couldn't give away all the information just yet. He looked at her curiously a moment, before he realized what she meant, letting out a little chuckle. "Right.. Could be a conflict of interest anyway, we'll let that one go." He gave her a small wink in amusement before turning to the menu.
He was rather in the mood for prime rib and he was pleased to see that it had returned to the menu since the last time he was here, but he looked up as Rebecca spoke, ready to cut to the chase. "You want my seeker." He posed this as more of a statement in return to her words rather than a question as he leaned back and fixed his eyes on her. It was true that he asked her here to negotiate a seeker trade, but he hardly thought it would be that easy. "I think we could talk a trade. I think a change of scenery for both seekers could work well in each of our favors." With the snitch grab record that the Catapults had, it was something they needed in addition to a strong line-up. "Just like that? One seeker for another, or did you have something else in mind?" He was curious to see how this would be played.

“Of course I have great taste. I don’t waste my time with anything that isn’t worth it.” Including people so feel privileged Kieran, feel privileged. She sipped her wine a bit more. Have you spoke too many of the other teams?” She had snagged Lee pretty easily and now she was about to do the same here. “I haven’t heard anything about another tryout for drafts this year and the season is about to start. Big surprise the ministry can’t get their heads on straight to help us keep the talent going.” That idiot Victoria having yet another ankle biter, really how many children did one need?
She knew off season would be busy for him, honestly she couldn’t wait for the season. She loved the competitive off season changes, but she had so much downtime this off season for some reason. She chuckled a bit at the firing, “Well maybe you should have. If my team played like that. They’d be all gone.” She wasn’t really one for subtle, so she just said it how it was. “I don’t really like you dating my players Kieran. It doesn’t sit with me all that well, but since we beat you last year and that little paper thought it was fun to say my player was the reason I’ll let it slide, but once out of line movement she does with you involved and she won’t be playing anymore.” He’d have that one on him, could he handle it?
She watched him, trying to gage how he felt. He had invited her, she knew why she wasn’t stupid. Though she wanted rid of her seeker, she wasn’t going to just let it happen that easily. They had the better record, they had the better snitch captures. What could she do to make this go more her way. “I’m not sure it’s going to be that easy. Honestly your seeker is reserve at best after last season.” She stopped as the waiter came and ordered her dinner. Taking her time sipping her wine. “I would be willing to give you our seeker for both of yours. You haven’t used your reserve much even if you should have.” Her reserve hadn’t signed the new contract yet and well if you snooze you lose and she’d gladly take on two new ones.

Her comment didn't surprise him in the slightest, in fact, Kieran pretty much counted on something along those lines. "I'd expect nothing less from you, Rebecca," he chuckled, then swirled the wine in his glass before taking another long sip. "A few.." he responded casually. She didn't need to know the details of his other negotiations, but he didn't mind the small talk as long as it stayed that way. "I did find that odd," he nodded thoughtfully as she mentioned lack of tryouts. "Maybe there was a lack of response. There were only two last year. I really think the lack of Quidditch at Hogwarts is really starting to take its toll." He wouldn't be so quick to blame the Ministry, though perhaps they could be doing more. But for the most part they seemed to at least try to be accommodating.
Kieran looked at her somewhat amused. He supposed it didn't surprise him that she'd think that way, considering that she shook up her own team on a regular basis. "I think we have different approaches to management. I do find it a little surprising that after the season you had, you're looking to make changes." Sure, it made good sense to have back up plans and keep options open but she had a strong team so it was interesting to see her changes. "I heard you got a new chaser."And what she said next was even more amusing. "That almost sounds.. threatening," he said with a smirk. "I'm not sure what you think is going on here, she's not my wife." Of course he cared a great deal about Muirgen and wouldn't want to intentionally jeopardize her career, but if she thought he was that driven by emotion, she was very mistaken. "Tupper's a fantastic beater and I'm certain you know that. If you're willing to give up that talent, I'm sure another team would be more than happy to snatch her up," he shrugged. And even if he thought it a conflict of interest to have her on his own team, he'd still sign her.
Kieran thought over her words a moment as the server showed up. Yes, Madsen had a bad season and seemed to be on the decline. He was on friendly terms with the guy, but he thought it'd be best to let him go, having one of the worst records in the league. But he'd be glad to see the guy go to a decent team rather than end his career. He ordered his dinner then waited for the server to leave before he turned his eyes back to Rebecca. "Two seekers for one, that is an interesting offer," he finally said, leaning back in his seat. "Of course that leaves me with no reserve and I'll have to scramble a bit to find one before season starts." He wouldn't admit it right away, but it still wasn't a bad deal. His reserve was fresh out of Uni with little experience. "And that gives you two on reserve? That seems like a waste.. Or what were you planning on doing with the one you had?" Still, he wasn't declining her offer, more was just curious on what her plans were.

Rebecca crossed her legs and smirked at his words, of course he shouldn’t. More people should expect her to be the best. It really would make things much easier. “Just a few?” He raised a brow, she wasn’t stupid, he wasn’t one to just sit down and wait for a winning team. No she liked that about him, he had always seemed as a player ready to jump at what he needed to win, so she assumed the same as a manager. “Well if you ask me they need to find new ministry employees. The ones they have need their bottoms fired and thrown out. It’s obvious that Mariel what’s her name doesn’t know how to pick people to work under her, Victoria is the worst manager I have ever dealt with. Maybe if she’d stop popping out kids she could focus on her job.” The woman had yet another one, which was just disgusting to Rebecca. Wasn’t he idiot boy enough? She must have been trying to find a perfect one, but after so many she should just give up. She shrugged at his Hogwarts comment, the school was as ridiculous as the ministry. She didn’t know how the people of Britain really every handled it.
“The seeker doesn’t work for us, neither did the little ‘girl’ group my team was starting to have. It needed a mix up before they get too comfortable. Comfort makes them lazy, they just assume they know each other and then start making mistakes.” She never dealt with comfort. It was better to keep on your toes. “Maybe you should adopt my approach and next season you could have a stronger team too.” Her arrogant smirk never leaving her face, yes they did have a good season, but they were not number one. She wouldn’t quit until she was. “See it how you want, but Tupper will be watched.” She could have her way to make sure a player that ever crossed her would not be able to find someone to sign them after she released them from the team. She certainly had her ways.
She waited for him to order sipping her wine and then she watched him as he thought over her words. “How badly do you want a change?” She knew she had the upper hand in this, she had the better record and better seeker, but she also knew with her specific coaches and training she could mold them both into what she wanted. “Reserves are a dime a dozen, you could easily find one I’m sure.” She waved her hand dismissively. “What I do with my team is my business, you will just have to wait and see.” Truth be told she was over the reserve seeker already and the contract was soon to be up.

Having children was still something that she was adjusting to. Most people had one at a time, but not Hannah. She had twins. TWO BABIES. Hannah was just gifted in that way. There wasn't anything ordinary about her. Still, that meant there was twice the crying, twice the diapers, and twice the headaches. Okay, headaches was not the term she was looking for. Ahem. At the end of the day she loved them more than life itself, and anybody that ever had the pleasure of coming in contact with them had better be extra mindful of that.
Needing a change of pace and definitely a different scenery, she left her kids with her extra hot husband and ended up in a restaurant across the street from the ministry. The death of her father still did not sit right with her even years later. Maybe this wasn't the best spot to come to. Still, she needed some inspiration in her latest designs. And sometimes anger helped her do just that. All she needed to do was look in the direction of the ministry and a heat would burn in the pit of her stomach.
Sitting at a table off towards the back, she had her fabric spread out in an organized fashion. She bit the top of a quill as she tapped her four inch heel.

Kieran smirked lightly before taking a sip of wine. "A few," he confirmed. "We may have had a less than ideal season, but I'm not desperate. Not everyone has what I'm looking for." He leaned back in his chair. Sure, they needed a new seeker, but he needed to be strategic about it or else they'd have a repeat of last season. He wasn't just about to pick up the first seeker that came along. He tilted his head as he considered her words. That was a rather strong opinion of the Ministry and he wondered just what made her think that way. "I've never had a problem with either of them," he shrugged. And he had worked with them longer than she had, he was fairly certain. "They seem to be efficient as far as Ministry workers go." He thought that Mariel had actually played pro for a while, but he couldn't imagine working in the Ministry after his retirement instead of what he was doing.
He nodded as he listened to her explanation for shaking up her team a little. It might not have been his exact approach but Kieran could see where it would make sense. "I'll keep that in mind," he smirked as she boasted about her strategy. He was making quite a few changes this season so he'd have to see how that would work out first. "Whatever you say, Rebecca," he replied somewhat amused as she needed to have the last word on Muirgen. Kieran really felt like she was making too much of what she thought was going on, but Quidditch was business for him just as it was for her.
Right.. he knew she wasn't going to make this trade that easy for him, but he didn't have a whole lot of choice in the matter. He took a long sip of his wine as he mulled over her question. "Well, it's no secret that we had one of the worst season's the Kestrels have seen in a few years." And his seeker's poor performance really contributed to that. In fact, he had really been on the decline the past couple years, it just really showed this past year. She was right about the reserves, he knew that, but was more curious on what she was planning. Though he also figured she wouldn't be so easily forthcoming with that information either. He could easily find a reserve seeker, maybe from the local university even. "Fair enough," he shrugged. She didn't have to tell him. "I can let both of my seekers go for your starter." That was the deal, right?

Aww, it had been a while! ...Actually... Sophie had never gone there at all. Haha, oops! Her bad!
The 21 year-old was trying to learn her way around London as best as she could and ended up in a restaurant very near the Ministry. Lovelyy!! And it was a Muggle restaurant! Double lovelyy! She would have to bring Mordred here one day!
As she made her way to the back to check what kinds of food they had there, Sophie saw a table with some nice looking fabric spread out. "Oh, that's pretty!" She happily commented before looking at the owner of said fabric.

Not desperate? She eyed the wording he used, she would never be desperate ether but she would make a point to her team to straighten up or they would be gone. There was plenty of talent being wasted on these other teams, she just needed to get her claws into them and she knew she’d have a perfect team. Now Kieran on the other hand, ha, she assumed he might have a decent one, but figured he didn’t have the nerve to pull off an exceptional one like she could. Her lips tightened as he seemed to defend the ministry a bit, stupid man. She knew better and she had the experience with Victoria to know her pathetic ways. “Believe me Kieran I know what I’m talking about. I’ve dealt with Victoria Culloden a lot longer than any of you would know. It’s just lucky she fell on her face in that ministry election. We would have been in horrible trouble if she would have become the minister.” She would have moved back to Australia for sure if that happened.
Whatever she said, whatever she said, HA! The man best listen to her, she knew what she was doing. Sipping her wine and seeing her food come, she placed her napkin on her lap. “I’d like to revamp our contract wording and I have you to thank really.” He was great inspiration and well that little romance that seemed to have come up between her captain and the Cannon’s player. She took a bit of her meal and chewed before sipping her wine once again.
Sitting back in her seat she nodded in agreement about his horrible season, “It really has, but I don’t feel it was anything against your management.” Coaching, yes, but she hoped he got rid of that issue along with some players. Her grin growing when she had what she had come for, “Then it’s a deal, I can owl the paper work in the morning.” Now that business was out of the way, she could enjoy the meal and her company, he might be just a manager but she could at least enjoy the view while eating.

Oh dear Merlin.
Tap, Tap, tap was the only sound you could hear coming from Hannah's table. This was usually second nature to her, but for some reason things weren't clicking. What color would best go with the other? She had so much work to do that she was actually starting to get stressed. That was a feeling that didn't sit with her well. Hannah Lockwood always had her life together, thank you very much. Her mind kept wandering to her perfect little angels that were at home. Iris would look absolutely lovely in lace and soft pink colors. While her handsome Henry would look absolutely dashing in blues and greens. Really her children could pull off any color. They were Lafey's for goodness sakes.
No. She couldn't let her mind wander. She picked this location for one reason, and one reason only. Focus, Lockwood... erm... Lafey. Her drop dead gorgeous husband. Hannah wondered what he was doing at this exact moment. A sigh escaped from her lips. This was no good.
Just as she was about to lean over and dig through her bag, she heard a voice giving her a compliment. A smile that closely resembled a snarl played across her face. "I only do pretty, sweetheart." Yeah, that was about as close to a compliment that you would be getting from this former Slytherin. Did she mean the term of endearment spoken sincerely or was it merely made in a mocking tone? It was hard to tell.
Finally giving the person that spoke to her full attention, Hannah recognized who it was. What were the odds? You just didn't forget people that you poured tea on. "Sophie. You have good eyes..." Yup, she was referring to her liking the fabrics that were splayed across the table. Wait. Was this the first time she actually didn't refer to her as Soapy? It must be the pregnancy brain that still lingered even though her babies were already brought into the world.
Not desperate? She eyed the wording he used, she would never be desperate ether but she would make a point to her team to straighten up or they would be gone. There was plenty of talent being wasted on these other teams, she just needed to get her claws into them and she knew she’d have a perfect team. Kieran gave Rebecca an amused chuckle as he remained relaxed and sitting back in his seat. "That's right... you once shared a last name, didn't you?" Sure, he remembered when she was Victoria Maroon and not Culloden. It wasn't all that long ago and he had been in Quidditch in one way or another a long time. He certainly didn't know the whole story but he figured it was an interesting one the way she talked. "I've been in this league a long time. Believe me, I've seen worse." Mariel and Victoria were rather efficient from what he could see though he only paid more attention to that end since he became a manager. It hadn't concerned him much as a player, He didn't have much to say about the election thing though and vaguely shrugged. He didn't follow politics and actually forgot to vote when it came time.
Oh, good, the food was here. Kieran was hungrier than he thought and that prime rib really looked good. As he started to dig in, he looked up at Rebecca as she spoke and he chuckled a little. "Whatever you need to do. Contracts are rewritten all the time for different reasons." Players didn't have to sign them if they didn't want to, especially if there was another team willing to offer something better. And if she tightened her reigns too much on her team, she might find herself in that position. She already had quite the reputation in the league.
Was that the hint of a compliment? Taking a bite of his meal, he gave her a small smile and nodded. "Well, thanks, I appreciate that. I think everyone will see that with these changes I've made for the upcoming season." He was confident that they'd do better this year or he would be taking even more drastic measures. The Kestrels were not going to be at the bottom any longer. His smile grew as she agreed to the terms. "Fantastic. A pleasure doing business with you." That was actually a little easier than he thought. He raised his glass of wine to her before taking a sip.

The man couldn’t have done anything worse than say those words. She glared at him a moment and then smirked, “Only because my husband was an idiot in his youth and married her, but I certainly showed him the light when he met me.” Her tight smirk was back on her face. She knew some would see it as horrible, him cheating and leaving her for Rebecca, but Rebecca saw it as an upgrade, she was better than any other woman. He just finally saw the light. She took a sip of her wine not to let it bother her that she had to deal with that woman still. “Well I haven’t and I’ve seen the best. Australia would never deal with this kind of stuff. They are so much more organized. “ It’s why they were clearly the better league.
She knew what she was doing and her records proved it for years. So if he wanted to laugh and blow her advice and threats off, that was his problem. Though she’d like to make it listen to her in some ways. “So you and Tupper, is it serious?” Not that she cared about Tupper’s relationships, but she couldn’t help but ask about his view on it. Taking a bite of her food she frowned, it wasn’t the best, but she’d have to live with it. Nothing at these muggle places were ever that good, though she had higher expectations for this place. It was good the last time she was here.
“Only time will tell, but never worry when you don’t do as well as me. It’s never truly anyone’s fault I’m just hat good as a manager.” She had a gift that she was very confident about. She knew how to manage a team and the Catapults would be on top this year. “It was rather easy, I wouldn’t mind doing more business with you in the future.” She gave a grin as she took another bite of food.
Tap, Tap, tap was the only sound you could hear coming from Hannah's table. This was usually second nature to her, but for some reason things weren't clicking. Sophie's heart pretty much stopped when she realised who was sitting there with that pretty fabric. The woman's... smile (?????????) was enough to freak her out to the point of making her try to take a step back. Sophie bumped into someone before she could get away from Hannah and that did not help the lack of colour on her face.
...Did Hannah just say she had good eyes? What did that mean?? What was that tone? Sophie had NO idea. Was the former Slytherin finally being nice? Was she... mocking her? What was going ON????? "I-- um, thanks..?" What.
"I, uh... heard that you... made Elliot's... wedding dress?" Calm down, Sophie, this is just a normal conversation. Just a normal.... conversation.............................. with Hannah Lockwood.
Hannah Lockwood. Merlin, HANNAH LOCKWOOD.
Was it just her or was it really hot in there now? The former Hufflepuff nervously wiped her forehead with the back of her hand and looked around from the corner of her eyes. Such a tight place with SO MANY people. Why was she there?? This was so bad! "It was... beautiful." Elliot's dress, she meant.
AAHHH.

Oh, he had touched a nerve, hadn't he? The glare didn't faze him much and Kieran simply gave Rebecca a knowing smile in response to her smirk. "I see," he said simply, not caring all that much about her personal life. All he really knew was that she was now married to Victoria's former husband, though other things were starting to become more apparent about that. Not that he was all that surprised. He took a sip of his wine and thought over her words about Australia. "I've never been there... Might be interesting to go sometime and check it out for myself." Maybe he'd learn a thing or two getting a different perspective. Or maybe she was full of hot air.
He took a bite of his food, glancing up at the question, but taking his time to chew as he thought it over. Kieran thought it was interesting that she'd ask that, wondering if it was more about business or small talk. He wasn't completely sure of the answer himself if he was completely honest, which might be the answer in itself. "I suppose that depends on the perspective." Serious meant different things to different people. "But I tend to like my private life just that way.. private. I'm sure you can relate," he added with the hint of a smirk.
He couldn't help the light chuckle as she let her ego show, though he had to admit she did seem to produce a winning team even if he wasn't sure he agreed with all of her tactics. "I'm sure I could learn a thing or two from you." Not that he thought she was exceptional or better than him, but more in the sense that he was interested in what worked for anybody. "I agree.. I wouldn't mind future business dealings with you as well.." If only all of his negotiations went this smoothly.

He had never been to Australia? That was a very big shame, “You should go. Everyone should take a trip there. It’s a beautiful place. I could give you a private tour someday if you’d like.” She’d gladly go back to enjoy sometime there. Though she didn’t need a reason, she did go back often. “My father is a very well-known Quidditch coach there.” She was very smug about his championships and how well he was known in and around Australia. Though she couldn’t understand why he stayed just a coach, he needed to rise up further than that in her eyes.
Shrugging she felt like he could turn out to be such a bore. “When things get out in the eye of the public it makes them a little more interesting. Though some things are better left behind closed doors.” Such as the reason why she was so okay with moving to London in the first place. Ugh, stupid reporters ruining her career there. She finished off her wine before looking back at the person across from her. “Nothing stays hidden forever, things always have a way of coming out.” She was always the one that got them out if need be, if it helped her in some way at least.
Laying down the money for the bill, she figured the Catapults owed her many things, so she’d just use their money to pay for this little meeting. “You could learn a lot of things from me, on and off the pitch.” She gave him a tight smirk before getting up out of her seat. “I think we are done here. I am a busy woman and have things to do. Thank you for your time and I will be doing business with you again.” No shake of the hand and no waiting for him to get up, that wasn’t how she did things. She always felt she needed to leave them with a little wanting more, so just turning and leaving was a way to make an exit he wouldn’t forget.
