Nestled between the greenhouse and the entrance to the outdoor patio is the department heads office. Please come in and grab a coffee (coffee is 100% allowed in here), or other refreshment. Noah's office is always open as long as he is in, please knock before entering.

She had been working at the Ministry of magic for awhile now and she hadn't really done anything like this before today but it was also a new year and she was just as friendly as she always have been. To her welcoming a new Department Head was very important even if she wasn't in the Department Head's department. There was nothing wrong with making new friends. Talullah walked to level four and over towards the new Environmental heads office. Once she was at the door she knocked a few times and stood there waiting.

Noah was in his office, he was stressed to the maximum right now. There was so much that he needed to do. His department was great though helping navigate throw the department, and such. He was sitting drinking his coffee, his third cup to be exact. Yes, he loved his coffee, and yes he could drink nearly his body weight in coffee. Most days he did. Hearing a knock as his door he sat his coffee cup down and looked up at the door. "Come in." He got to his feet as who ever it was entered his office.

She wasn't waiting outside the new Department Head's office that long when she had heard the man's voice telling her to come in. Talullah opened the door and walked inside. She saw the man standing behind his desk. "This isn't a bad time is it?" the Irish woman asked the man. "I'm Talullah Whitehall, I work in the Magical Games and Sports Department." Her introductions were all set out in the open. She didn't really like introducing herself sometimes because she knew that some people knew her already and it felt like she was saying her name to someone that already knew who she was. She would get a look from Quidditch fans that just read 'I already know who you are, you don't need to tell me who you are' hopefully that wasn't one of those moments but if it was then the damage was already done.

Noah looked up and straighten his tie up, he still could not get used to wearing ties and suits for work. Of course it did change to the work uniform whenever he went into the greenhouses. He made a mental note to see about having more causal days, and only wearing suits for meetings. "No, I was just about to check on some of the plants in the greenhouse." For some reason they wasn't growing right, even with the right amount of care. He was starting to thinking that maybe they needed a little extra TLC

"Hello Miss Whitehall. Its a pleasure to meet you." He was actually surprised that someone from another department would could introduce themselves to him. Maybe she had an obsession with planets or something. Who knew? He offered a hand to shake. He was still a gentlemen after all, his mama taught him right. "What can I do for you today?"

The blonde looked around the man's office. It was interesting, every office really looked the same to her in this building. "Oh.." she was at the wrong place at the wrong time wasn't she? "I can get out of your way if I'm being a bother right now. I don't want to get in your way of an important matter." she didn't want to get into people's work time right now. She was on lunch but that didn't mean everyone else was on lunch.

Talullah smiled at him and shook his hand. "It's a pleasure to meet you as well." the Irish woman said in her normal cheery voice. "I'm just here to welcome you to the Ministry of Magic." She felt like that was pretty lame of her but she wanted to make friends with everyone.
That was the Hufflepuff side of her and she wasn't going to say no to making a new friend.

Amidst all the last-minute wedding preparations, being called into your boss' office was NOT something Olly was looking forward to. What could this be about? They'd already gotten their days off approved so they could go on their honeymoon, surely it wouldn't be about that, would it? It better not be. Other than that she couldn't really think of ANYTHING Noah could possibly be reprimanding her for so perhaps he just needed her to do something.

Hopefully it wasn't something that would take up a lot of her time outside of work. She REALLY had better things to do right now. Maybe it was about another summer internship with the students. Would they have that again this year? If so, it better not fall to her again to be taking care of them. She hadn't MINDED it per se but somehow it had felt like she was the only one doing it.

Still going over all possible scenarios in her head, Olly knocked on Noah's office door. Hopefully this wouldn't take too long.

Noah was working in his office, sorting through permits and licences that had been renewed this month he would file them later. Glancing down at his watch, he had finished his task just in time for his meeting with Olly. He knew that she was busy lately with all the things she had going on right now. He had been working on some changes for the department and had something special he wanted to offer her.

Seeing that Olly was a hard worker and had been there for quite a while. She would be a great fit for this position that he had envisioned. There were plenty of bonist on his team to spread them into two subdivisions in the greenhouses. He would have any possible kinks worked out by the time she got back from her vacation.

Hearing a knock on the door he looked up as he said. ”Come in.” Figuring it was Olly since she was the only one he was expecting to drop by the office this afternoon.

At least he was in.

Putting on a smile - and honestly, she didn't really have a reason NOT to smile - Olly pushed open the door. "You asked to see me?" She closed the door behind her after stepping in, then walked up to his desk. Maybe this WAS about their honeymoon after all? Maybe he couldn't spare both of them? But then again, he could have told them that from the start.

He wasn't upset that he hadn't been invited, surely. No, he didn't really seem the needy type.

He figured that he would go ahead do this before she was to leave for vacation and definitely before the next department meeting. It would be a nice thing to come back to after your honeymoon. Or at least he thought so. Not that he had ever had a honeymoon before. ”Yes, I did. Please sit down. I wanted to speak with you about something.” He paused to let her get seated and a comfortable before moving on. ”Thank you for coming by.” She didn’t seem like she thought she was in trouble so he wasn’t going to add the normal Don’t worry you’re not in trouble speech

”In a month or two, I’m opening a research and Development Division. I would like to give you a promotion as the head of the new division.” He just went ahead and got straight to the point of why he had called her into his office. He felt that Olly was the best candidate for the position, without going out of the department or Ministry for it. Plus he was eager to get the division up and running as soon as possible and in the best manner for the whole department.

Olly sat down while trying to figure out what all this was about from the look on his face, Olly drew a complete blank. Huh. He didn't look like whatever he'd asked her in here for was a BAD thing, however. At least she didn't believe so. Hopefully she was right. Although, honestly, there were very few things that could put her in a bad mood right now, what with her wedding only a few days away.

So, bring it, Noah.

.....and he did. Oh. Somehow...she hadn't expected THAT.

Her face remained unreadable - albeit politely friendly - as she tried to process what he just said. A promotion. A PROMOTION. Now. This was like..wow. Okay."Thank you." After a few seconds of silence, Olly realized that she should probably say something. Lips curling into a genuine smile she leaned forward in her seat a little. "I appreciate the opportunity. Thank you."After everything who'd have thought...yes, hard work paid off but still...this was...something. Something good.

She blamed her quite emotional response to the upcoming wedding. Mhm. That.
