Although Muggle technology isn't needed to run an office, after the debacle when the entire Ministry ran out of magic, it's nice to have a backup plan (plus not everyone is handy with a copying spell).
Tucked in the corner of this room, you can find a copy machine, printer, and fax machine (how quaint!). And what's this master of modern Muggle technology? A paper shredder!

Eliora may have hated the week she had done at a new job, but she was at least dealing with new things. However, she'd made the decision to stick at the job she'd had for so many years and was having to get on with it. With the help of caffeine. This woman was BACK on her twelve cups of coffee in the morning and seventeen in the afternoon. And she was BUZZED to get around the Ministry as quick as possible.
Bounce. Buzz. Ooooh A SHREDDER!
She was supposed to be making copies for Maddy (something she could do with magic, but it was more fun to watch this machine work), and was suuuuuuure that something in this pile cOULD be shredded. Right? RIGHT?
Maybe this contract for something. Or she could read it first..?
NAH. INTO THE SHREDDER THE COPY WENT. WOOOOOOOOOOW.

NAH. INTO THE SHREDDER THE COPY WENT. WOOOOOOOOOOW. She hadn't ever had any use for this muggle area and honestly wasn't sure why it was around until now. She knew some departments dealt with muggle business so needed to use machines instead of magic, but her's was not one of them. Being the quidditch manager she never thought about how the other departments ran so as she walked into the room and looked around she realized she was going to probably need some help.
She glanced down at the small stack of papers in her hand and then again around the room. The noise caught her attention and she saw a woman placing papers into something. Walking a bit closer she realized she had seen this machine before and it wasn't what she was looking for. "Excuse me,
I'm sorry to bother you, but I was hoping maybe you could point me in the right direction." Maybe she should have had delivered these, but she already knew she seemed odd asking the muggle to mail them or fax when he told her just to email. "Do you know where the fax machine is in here?"

Eliora thought quickly to Levi who was with his father over in New York for a few days. Explaining to him that Daddy now had a new baby to look after had been difficult and in all honesty it had upset Eliora and Briar more than it had Levi. But Nate was allowed to move on, the same way anyone was entitled to make new connections after being dumped. Eli just hadn't found a person she dared make a connection with. Mainly because they all ended up running off anyway, here was looking at both Rusty and Aron and probably Maddox in time..
Looking up from what she was doing, Eliora smiled. "What do you need a fax machine for in the ministry?" She knew why she would use it in this place, but she was just nosy.
Spill your secrets, lady.

Spill your secrets, lady. The forty plus woman was blushing a bit as the younger woman asked why she needed a fax machine. A small laugh had come from her throat in trying to not look so stupid, "Silly, right? I've worked for this ministry over ten years and this will be a first for me." She glanced at the papers in her hand and then back at the woman not sure how much to tell. "They are papers for a muggle school. The are entrance forms for gymnastics for my daughter. She is.." her voice failed her though she didn't want it to. She wasn't ashamed of her daughter at all and didn't want it to come across that she was, she was just new to this. Her oldest a pro quidditch player, Alana's twin with her Hogwarts letter, and her youngest already having dolls fly around her, it was just a hard situation. "My daughter is a squib and would like to give gymnastics a try so I want to try to figure out this fax machine to look less like a witch and more like a normal parent that is transferring her daughter in their eyes." The entire process was frustrating to this pureblood.

The entire process was frustrating to this pureblood. Eliora stopped her shredding and stretched out her fingers for the documents. "I'll show you how to use it. There's a knack. It's not exactly the most up-to-date machine in this room." But Eliora was used to it. She'd used many in her personal assistant career before coming to the ministry. She faltered though, her hand falling to her side once again at the woman's confession. "Oh... I'm sorry..." As a parent, she supposed she understood the struggle of one of your children being different to the others. Levi had his father in the picture and Briar-Rose didn't. Not that the two were in the same league at all. "Do you want me to read over them? Make sure everything's okay to be sent over first?" Muggle forms were easy when you knew how to lie.
And Eliora was a professional at that.

And Eliora was a professional at that. To be honest Victoria had been used to talking to people about her twins. She had spent many times with her healer after they were born and she had her episode of leaving them and then healing. She had come a long way, but this with Alana had brought some of that insecurity and issues back so she had been talking to a healer again and the healer said to tell people about Alana. She wasn't ashamed of her daughter, but she didn't know how others would take it and now she was watching the reaction of the woman. "It's okay, I mean it's fine, she'll be fine, it's just an adjustment." That was the best way to say it. "Thank you, that's very sweet." Victoria didn't know the first thing about working one of these. "You don't happen to know how to do an email? They were acting kind of weird that I couldn't send these through email." Her age was showing it seemed because all of this was so foreign to her. Handing her the documents she hoped she had done everything right. "Please let me know if you think anything needs changed I don't want to screw this up for her. "
