"I was a Slytherin, though." And she wished she did stay in Hogwarts but that was a very old issue which she totally made peace with.
The couple turned instantly boring when they seemed to have calmed down. Bleh. Couldn't they have been entertaining for a little longer?
Lara's head turned to where Tiberius was looking now. The woman had her eyes closed while the man looked completely uncomfortable and ready to bolt. "Whatever she thinks she's doing, he doesn't look interested in it one bit," she snorted amused. Either the woman was completely clueless or she was aware and finding it enjoyable to torture the man.
Tiberius nodded. A Slytherin. He supposed it was possible they may have overlapped, as he tried to count years in his head but gave up. Even if they had, knowing a young Slytherin wouldn't have been likely, especially given how much he really kept to himself in those last two years. Library. Class. Common Room. Repeat. "Well, we probably know some people in common," he offered. He wondered if they'd play the 'do you know...' game. It wasn't like he'd kept in touch with nearly any of them - which was entirely his fault.
Watching the goings-on, he nodded at her observation. "He looks exceptionally uncomfortable... and I don't think she realizes at all." Tiberius tilted his head as he considered them. Was it the kind of thing where the man needed an excuse to get up? Tiberius tossed a pebble in the man's direction to see if he could get the guy's attention. If the man waved him off, fine, but Merlin, did he look uncomfortable.
While he waited to see if the man made eye contact, he started thinking about the move again. Maybe she'd have a thought... "Sorry if this seems really personal, but I was thinking about this before we started talking and I want to see what you think.." he hesitated. "But, like.. can you picture what you want your life to look like? With detail?" Because Tiberius really couldn't. What his job would be? Where he would live? None of it. But he did know who he wanted there.

He supposed that's what really mattered.
"We probably did," she nodded. Most of her friends back then were either Slytherins or Ravenclaws. She only kept in touch with only a few, though. And only a couple were strong friendships. "We definitely had common Professors," And Headmaster Tate, obviously. Other than that she could only remember her head of house's name. Which was a shame.
He picked up on that, too, yeah? Means it's obvious. "Yes, which is weird because he couldn't be more obvious," she actually felt a little bad for both of them for different reasons. Her because she probably thought she was helping or that the man was enjoying whatever it was she was doing. And the man because he looked like he'd rather be anywhere but here. She wondered if the pebble will grab his attention.
Her attention shifted from the couple and was now on Tiberius. She listened carefully considering the question, which she didn't find too personal. "Not in precise details. But generally yes I suppose," she wondered if that made sense. "Like I know I want to have a job I enjoy and wake up excited about. I know I don't want to live somewhere with humidity ," Hair reasons. "I think that was the reason behind me quitting. Like I realized this isn't the life I wanted. Having to force myself to go through the day," She wondered if that answered his question. "Do you like to have detailed plans of the future?" Some did, she never seemed to be able to work one out.

Tiberius looked out at the water as she spoke, nodding when it seemed appropriate. He shifted a bit, dropping his knees so that he was now sitting cross-legged.
"No. That's part of why I started skipping the rocks," he said truthfully. "I thought if I could just get into a space where I could picture it, I would know what to do." He leaned back on his hands and stared at the sky, as if the answer were up in the clouds.
"There are some details. Gabriel. Kids." He spoke the words up into the sky, almost as if he were just talking it through for himself, though she could certainly hear it. "But not where we are. Or what I'm doing for work. Or anything like that." Tiberius sighed, and looked back to the pond, tossing a handful of pebbles and watching them rain down onto the surface of the water.
"Makes me wish I'd been better at Divination," he joked.

Charlie wasn't nervous, not really. Actually, a sort of calm had come over her ever since she found out the reason for her strange behavior and the occasional nauseous morning. Saul would just be glad to know she didn't have a the flu, though the blonde couldn't be sure how he'd take knowing what was actually going on. Hopefully he'd be excited. She'd brought a camera to capture the look on his face and everything. A gift too. This should be fun.
Speaking of Saul, where was that husband of hers? She'd found a nice bench by the water but was growing anxious. He'd be along soon, yeah? Patience wasn't her strong suit.

Shifting her sitting position, Lara twisted around turning her back to the pond and stretching her legs out before her while listening. Seemed he did have some major decisions to make which was why he needed a place to think. A bit like her, except she chose to find something to do to get her mind off the decisions. Which wasn't really the right thing to do.
Lara remained quiet not wanting to interrupt him and his flow of thoughts. She wasn't sure if his decisions were regarding a job or where to live but didn't think it mattered really. What counted that it was a major decision. "I think it helps if there's someone who you know you want to be in your future or plans," In her case there wasn't which made her choices limitless and she didn't find it easy.
"It might help to try new things, maybe. Might help you to realize that what you had before was best or the opposite," she suggested referring to her own experience. She wasn't that good with advice anyway.

So the park was nice...for October. Saul X moved down through the park curious as to why Charlie wanted to meet him here. He would have gladly gone home to see her with her being ill and all. It wasn't wise of the wife to step outdoors, or was it? Fresh air was always a good remedy to sickness. He finally reached a point where he could see Charlie, he smiled and picked up his pace pushing his glasses up to the bridge of his nose. Once he got close enough he kissed her and stepped back. "You okay with meeting outside?" He said with concern in his voice. He looked down and saw the camera in her hand. Had she been one of her Art Crazes fighting the Flu just to go outside to do some Photography? The look of concern changed to a look of curiosity as his eyes met hers once more.

"You worry too much." Charlie grinned, making room for Saul on the bench. "And actually, I've got good news. I'm perfectly healthy. The doctor didn't give me a lollipop or anything but she assures me I-we've got nothing to worry about." At least as far as illness was concerned.
Picking a small package off the ground beside her, the blonde set it in her lap beside the camera and picked at the ribbon wrapped around it. "There's something else, too. I've got a surprise for you."

Tiberius smiled, rubbing his thumb against his ring. Someone he wanted to be in his plans... certainly was. And maybe that was it. It didn't really matter where they were, so long as they were together.
And maybe what he really needed to do was tell Gabriel that. Before Romania.
"I got married earlier this summer," he said, hoping to provide some context. "We wanted to do it before my fieldwork, but that meant we really hadn't made any decisions about where we'd live after I was done." He turned to look at her as he thought about what to say next. "But what you said made me realize that it really doesn't matter if we end up in France or Britain or even some awful research station in the Arctic." Not if they're together, anyway.
Breakthrough, that was. That was it. He resolved to go back to Cairo that evening, Gabriel's writing groove be damned, and offer that if living in France meant that much to Gabe, then that's where'd they'd live.
Turning back to Lara, he looked apologetic. "Sorry, I just made this all about myself. But what you said helped me out."
Noticing others arriving in the park, he paused for a moment, wondering how he'd ended up in such a personal conversation with a stranger. Just a few minutes ago, they'd been hypothesizing over kneazle!teacup rampage in a cupboard.
"Is the job search in diplomacy promising?" he asked, trying to shift the conversation back to her.

Saul would have preferred doing this back at their place. Charlie wanted to meet in public so....hey. Where did his Surprise go? He told it to stay within eyeshot from a distance.
There was Rustling in the Bushes behind them. A faint hint of Afro popping out from it. Almost blending in, if you counted the Dark Colored part of the bush, bush-like at all.
Ooh okay so it was going to be a literal Suprise. Not what he meant, but hey. No stopping now.

Lara tilted her head at him and smiled at the new information. She wasn't he relationship kind of person, she was a flings kind of person but it she found it great when people her age were in love enough to commit to one person. "Congratulations," she grinned.
"I'm sue you'll figure it out, both of you," she nodded her head. She wasn't in love, nor was she married but she knew people who were would and it was like one person in two bodies figuring out each other's problems and making the other feel better. The blonde nodded more at his realization. That's exactly what she meant when she said it helped if there was someone fixed in one's life. "Exactly," She was happy that he reached such a conclusion.
She waved her hand dismissively, "No need to be. I like to talk," She certainly had to listen to an annoying boss's rants which she couldn't relate to, anyway. At least with this in one way or another she could understand.
Job search. Hmm. "There are many opportunities. But I'm gonna let you in on a little secret," she said whispering at the end of the sentence, "People in Diplomacy are drama queens so the trouble is finding ones I can tolerate enough to work with," she said with a small laugh.

Tiberius smiled. This had been an unexpected, but rather nice, afternoon. "Thank you," he said, in response to her congratulations. It was still a little new and giddy-inducing to say married instead of dating, or husband instead of boyfriend, and his cheeks pinked a little.
He was lucky. SO lucky. And he knew that. But rather than get too wistful, Tiberius kept his attention on Lara. It was about her stuff, now. Tiberius laughed at her description of diplomacy. Leaning over to share in her conspiratorial whisper, he dropped his voice. "Would you be betraying any national secrets if you told me some of your best drama queen stories?" He laughed, before straightening up. "Seriously, though, I imagine that could be quite difficult. Strong personalities end up doing that sort of work and managing those dynamics must be trying."
He did idly wonder why diplomacy was her chosen field if she found it difficult to work with diplomats, but that was not his place to point out. So instead, he listened intently, rolling a smooth stone between his fingers.

Charlie very noticeably rolled her eyes at the man, amused. She wasn't that difficult to be with, was she? Surely her love of pranks and tattooing didn't have Saul in a constant state of worry. ...Or did it? The blonde leaned into him as she considered things, wondering if his worries had anything to do with Mandy. She'd be amused if they did. But wait, he had a surprise too? The shopkeeper turned to look at him, eyebrows raised. "Way to steal my thunder, husband." She'd let him go first since clearly nothing could top her news.
Was that-*SQUINT* Charlie saw the bushes moving and for a moment thought it might have been some kind of animal. She'd even slipped her wand out of its holster, ready to react if necessary. The darker hair-like part, though. "What-or who-is that?"

Saul smiled. "I'm only joking with you." He nudged her, letting off a small laugh. Of course she knew he was. Otherwise he'd not have gottten that eye roll. he nudged his glasses up and leaned back while she leaned in. "Hey it's just a surprise filled day. Not my fault." He spotted Charlie unholster her wand and quickly placed his hand ontop of hers. Trying to make it look romantic. He can't have her throwing hexes. That would not end well with his Family at all! "I guess that's just the way The Eagle Sores Today..."
Eagle...??? OH That was his Signal thing! "Eaaaaagle Heeeeaaaaaart!" The small child popped out from the bushes screaming at the top of his lungs. Really hoping to put the scare on Uncle Saul's Wifey Lady! He was so glad he decided to get closer than where he was told to come from. Walking in for an entrance was stupid. He struck a Heroic Pose and shook his head letting some pines and leaves from the bush fall from his large tuft of hair.

surpriiiiiiiiiiise...hehehehheh...heh.
She did know and so she nudged him back, a small smile tugging at the corners of her mouth. He was lucky she loved him so much, did he know? "A little your fault." It was and she was momentarily puzzled when he placed his hand over hers, preventing her from using her wand. So this mysterious thing in the bushes was her surprise?

"Hello?" PAUSE. "Explain this?" That part was for the husband. He definitely had some 'splaining to do.

Heheheheheh.....Okay Saul stop your inner not-so-naive laugh. She can't even here you. "This is my Sister's son, Torrence." Saul scratched the back of his head. Alarmed at how displeased Charlie was with him. Didn't she want to have a kid? Didn't Torrence count as one? He leaned in so that his nephew wouldn't hear what he was saying to Charlie. "My Older Brothers and I were Volunteered to tutor him by our Parents. Since there was a little falling out with My Sister, and they got Custody of him. He'll be with us for a few months. Then I drop him off to Vance." He smiled and leaned away from Charlie with a smile on his face. "See, isn't that great. We have a kid to look after!"
Everybody wins. except his Sister.but hey lessons had to be learned
*Heroic Pose... Heroic Pose*
Tory had done it, Uncle Saul's Wifey Lady looked shocked! He hopped out of the Bushes and ran around the other side of the bench. Oblivious to the conversation the two were having. "Call me Tory! Torrence sounds funny...OH! or Ugo! Ugo means Eagle.YUP!" He spread his arms out wide to demonstrate what an Eagle does. He hoped his Aunt knew what he was doing. She was Blonde after all.
Saul kept it quiet that he took Torrence out for Treats and Sweets before they planned on Surprising Charlie.

Charlie was trying to wrap her head around the fact that they had a child. A boy-child in their custody for a few months. A few whole months and she would get to know her nephew but she was also just getting used to the idea of having their own child and to add this on top of things was a lot.
She absently placed a hand on her stomach and used the free one to shove the gift box at Saul. "He's not the only kid we'll be looking after." It might have seemed that the blonde was calling Saul a child but no, that's not what she'd meant at all. He'd understand when he opened the gift.
Turning her attention to the boy, the blonde managed a smile. "I like Tory. I think I'll stick to that, if it's okay." She eyed his eagle impression with amusement and then stuck out her hand to him. "And I guess you know I'm your aunt Charlie. It's nice to officially meet you."
We feel the energy from Lara and Tiberius <3 (also. very sorry. she cray.)
A Poop * k8 *
SPOILER!!: Poor Willy.

So he popped open an eye, first to stare at Ember and then to peek around at the others on their lunch breaks. He did some loud and over-exaggerated breathing just in case she could hear him over the sound of herself.
Andddd then he started scooting away. Scoot scoot. Scoot a bit more. He should probably just... head out now, yeah? Since it didn't seem like Ember cared too much for her lost and possessed shoes?
Ember was so deep into her own thoughts and meditations that she just...keeeeept talking--she felt a small tug at her hand and opened one eye to peer at William. Ah.

HEY HEY HEY PEOPLE I'M EMBER AND LOVE YOU!. No. THat was much too forward, wasn't it? Heheheheh. Maybe she should...keep the love down a bit. She couldn't LOVE people she didn't know, right? But of course--Ember just loved EVERYONE.

Oh good she wasn't yelling at him. That was a plus that he won't be sleeping on the Floor tonight while the Dog took the Couch. He was slowly calculating the message that Charlie was relaying to him. He thought he understood what she was going at, until she shoved present on his lap.
Saul slowly began to open it...
"No, you should Call me Ugo." He said with a smile on his face and a nod with his head. He flopped his arms down to his side and nudged into the a small space beside his Aunt. "If you call me Ugo, I'll call you Auntie Chuckie. Fair Trade." He extended his arm to her to complete the deal.
He wasn't quiet sure why anyone would name a girl Charles, but hey! He should get to call her Chuckie if she's a Charles.
Tory's attention then moved over to his Uncle's who was just about to open the box.

but but but but....she...and him...and a Baby!?!?! THAT'S WHY SHE WAS SICK!?!
Saul's glasses fell from his face and onto the ground his jaw opening wide and closing, but not quite all the way. He looked over again at Charlie, and her hand on her stomach.
His surprise was outmatched...and his Surprise had an Attitude that came with it. He was speechless. He was going to be a Father!!

It was probably the one of the very few times that she actually talked to someone about her doubt about her recent most important decision. She rarely spoke to her mother or sister about it because they wouldn't approve. Surprisingly enough, talking about it made her feel better than trying to keep it off her mind.
"Don't think I would. It's was mostly my former boss outside his office and when he was under stress due to whatever he had to do," Also known as his personal life plus the packed hard days which she couldn't care less about it being leaked or published really. Which was probably a bit mean since it paid well, the job did. However, Lara did try to think of something that was sort of amusing to tell now. "He did have a certain colleague or rival more like it, one he seemed to have a lot of history with," She was never told that directly but she wasn't slow as to not notice or figure it out on her own. "He'd send me and others out to spy on this one because he always wanted to triumph on him or something. Always competing, the two were. Even when it came to the office curtains, the china and everything." she rolled her eyes remembering the ridiculous overreactions whenever one stole another's idea. Eh. So unprofessional. She did a good thing quitting.
Just when she was about to elaborate further by telling another story, a movement caught her eye and just as she opened her mouth to speak she closed it again having been distracted. The blonde shifted and tucked her knees up to her as she watched the woman who was doing some kind of ritual earlier, approaching them. Lara quirked an eyebrow wondering about the reason behind that. "I .... think... she's coming towards us," she unhelpfully said since the other woman was now halfway here. Curiosity got the better of her, though and she straightened and kept her eyes on the woman. Was it because of the staring? And was she barefoot ?

Oh no, NO NO NO NO NOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooooo! William felt all his hopes and dreams of escape slipping away as Ember tugged him back to her side.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooooooo!
He could have cried, if grown men like him produced tears.
Not only was this meditating horrifying and humiliating, now it was downright embarrassing. Other people were surely laughing and staring at them, and was it just his imagination or had that guy across the way just thrown something his way? Willy gave him his best 'pity me' expression. He was NOT going to meditate on his lack of a love life right now, Ember, NO WAY. Nor was he EVER going to attend yoga with her. Harmony was at least more tolerable and less hyper than this, even with all her mumbo jumbo about auras and whatever.
Thankfully, though... Ember was LEAVING him. And now was his chance to make his escape. As soon as she stood up, he wasted no time in standing up as well...
...and bolting the heck outta there. QUICK. TO THE OFFICE!

Tiberius had looked back to the couple doing, whatever it was they were doing, and caught the man's expression and gestured, as if to say "want me to interrupt." Chuckling to himself, he nodded as Lara spoke about the diva diplomats, thankful that at least diva academics didn't have much outside power. The odd woman's exclamations were... interesting. Stay positive with me? Don't the negativity take you? The man looked uncomfortable, and Tiberius' past experience with all sorts of weirdness had him wondering exactly what was going on. Self-help cult? Bad date?
But then he saw the woman across the way stand. And start moving toward them. Had she heard them talk about her? Was she mad? Tiberius sat up straight as the woman approached, wondering what she might want.
Tiberius was distracted, then, by the sight of the man standing abruptly and... taking off. What in the man of Merlin's flannel jammies was going on?!
Looking up at the barefooted woman, he pointed at the fleeing shape. "I.. I think your friend had to go."
Ember was just SOOO excited that more people wanted to join her in meditating that she just...UGH. She was practically BOUNCING. Hehehehe. She assumed that William would indeed continue their spiritual journey on his own for now, and she didn't mind the feeling of the coldish grass on the bottom of her feet--HOW FREEING.
Why did they look scared?! Ember was like....a puppy. She didn't even kill FLIES for Merlin's sake. She beamed all big and waved at them BOTH. "I saw you watching us meditate-and I wanted to let you KNOW--you two can join us, if you want--I welcome everyone---" she said in a cheerful, delightfully friendly way. Maybe it was the blue hair that scared people away, but she didn't mind showing them that beneath her turquoise head was a very NICE and FRIENDLY person. HEH.
"Oh, he is--" at the man's words, and when she turned around--------WHERE WAS WILLIAM? Her face fell a little and she frowned. The twenty-two year old was CONFUSED. Where was William?! "Well--I hope he's relaxed now. He seemed VERY stressed earlier--just like me--I was attacked by a flying SHOE for Merlin's sake--" she chattered on, running a hand through her hair.
"Are you two on a DATE? OH MY GOODNESS ISN'T THAT CUTE!" she squeaaaaled--Ember had a nasty habit of assuming things, regardless of that cute little saying her dad used to tell her about what assuming things makes you. She clapped her hands a lot and could have DANCED--but she only danced barefoot at home.

A couple of thoughts floated in her head in the couple of minutes that took the woman to get to them. Should they RUN like the man did? He seemed to have been really happy about the fact that he could let go of her grasp and bolt. But it was curious. What could this barefoot, excited woman do that'd make a big dude want rescue. Hm.
So Lara remained in her spot, besides Tiberius did, too, maybe he too was curious. Join? Did they look like they wanted to join? Did Lara? Was she giving off those kind of vibes? Being unemployed changed her vibes now, too! How sad. Though, there wasn't a way to answer the woman's really. What would they say? We were making up stories about people in the park. Probably not wise to say. "Thanks for the offer, think I'll pass. M'not a big fan of meditation. " she said then cracked a small smile as to not look too rude in comparison to the other woman who was cheerful and looked like she was going to hug the life out of everyone.
And just when Lara thought the woman could not get any cheerful ... or weird - because flying shoe, really? - the lady was squeeeeeeeealing. The blond WINCED at the sound but did not cover her eyes which she'd have done on normal circumstances but she did not now. "We're ...... not," she simply answered wondering if she was going to be even heard over the woman's own excitement.

"Auntie Chuckie. Why on earth would you call me that?" Charlie was clearly not a fan so no deal, little man. She could grow to like Ugo, though. It had a certain something. "Ugo it is." But not Chuckie. Never Chuckie. Oh gosh, wait until Amanda heard this. The blonde couldn't almost hear the laughter now.
But Saul had opened his gift by now so Charlie's attention was on only him now, trying to read his face. Shocked, clearly. The blonde bent down to scoop up his glasses from the ground and gently placed them back on his face, using her finger to push them up the bridge of his nose.

Meditate? That's what they'd been doing? Tiberius frowned, looking in the direction the man had fled. It certainly hadn't looked like any meditation he was familiar with, but then again, his experience had really been in therapeutic settings - something his mum had wanted him to try when the hypervigilence had gotten really bad.
"No, thank you," Tiberius said, hoping that the woman would take the hint and move along. He looked to Lara, who was also declining the offer. But his attention went back to the woman when she described her co-workers stress and the flying shoe. He idly wondered if the shoe flew of its own accord or if someone had thrown it at her.
But his train of thought was shattered at the squeal. A date? "No.. no no, not at all." That was all he needed - someone thinking he was spending time in London dating. He held up his hand to show his ring, feeling oddly defensive.
He looked to Lara, dropping his hand, suddenly concerned that she would be offended at his insistence that they were not on a date.
