She couldn't get over just how nervous Leon was just to put the ring on her finger. It was beyond adorable! She watched as he slid it onto her left hand ring finger. It fit just perfectly. She looked down at it, tears forming in her eyes. How could this possibly be happening to her? "It's perfect." She said quietly, looking up into his beautiful grey eyes.

It was official. They were engaged! "I love you more than the sun loves the moon." She said with a huge grin. Chuckling at his nervousness, she rest her hand on his cheek. "You silly Ravenclaw! How could you think I would say anything other than yes?" She gave him a gentle peck, and then wrapped her arms around his neck pulling him into a hug.

He smiled as he slid the ring onto her finger and he looked down at it happily, it looked perfect on her finger and he felt his heart swell with happiness as he took her hand and leaned down and gently kissed it.

Wrapped in his warm embrace, she never wanted him to let her go. She chuckled at his statement. She knew him better than he thought though,
"I wouldn't be surprised, honestly. You get worked up so easily." She pulled back, "My Ravenclaw Fiancé." OH, THAT WORD! It made her positively beam just saying it. SHE WAS ENGAGED, WORLD! ARE YOU LISTENING? She grinned and gave him a gentle peck.

Then a thought occurred to her and her stomach dropped. "Oh...now we have to tell my parents....not only that we are engage but that we are moving in together." Her worry crease was back. Hopefully her father wasn't going to flip out. Esme had already moved out basically as soon as she got home from Hogwarts. This was going to be interesting....

She bit her bottom lip again thinking about what their wedding would be like.

As soon as his finger reached her worry crease, it melted away. Just a simple touch from him automatically made her feel better about any problem she may have.

She then turned her head to his ear and whispered, "I would prefer telling them in person though, if you don't mind of course." Sending an Owl for such hug news...this needed to be in person so they could celebrate together!

Juno chuckled through her happy tears at statement.It was true though; Ravenclaws thought of everything! She couldn't believe how happy she was in this moment!

"Yes, I would love to do it now!" She quickly helped him pack up the picnic. She knew how excited her parents would be! She couldn't wait to tell Esme! She was sure River would be happy too, as much as River could be happy for anyone. "That sounds perfect!" She couldn't wait to get home. They also need to tell her parents they were moving in together in a couple weeks. She was sure they would be accepting of that, especially since they were so accepting for Esme.

Javi's nerves had been on edge the past few days ever since he had received that letter from Karina. He hadn't spoken to her since he had seen her in court all those years ago, when he had gotten custody of Camila. He'd offered to have her visit her (hoping she wouldn't say yes) and he had been torn when she hadn't responded to any of his letters.

Yet here he was. She had finally responded. She wanted to meet. He was angry and almost always felt nauseous when he thought of her coming to see Cami. He wanted to do right by his daughter though. He hated this. Why couldn't things have just stayed the way they were? Just him and Cami?

He had taken her to the park and was letting her run around, playing with her toy broomstick while he sat nearby and watched her. As far as the little four year old was concerned, her mum just wasn't in the picture. She hadn't known anything else.

Not just any niffler, Hercules who was really a big deal to her and many at the zoo. She still hadn't owled Sleater but she knew she would need to.

Sitting down next to her friend she smiled and watched Cami and Broc play. "So out just to enjoy the nice day?" Changing the subject was a good idea for her at least.

Albert wasn’t sure if he should blame his age or the bloody climate change for his gloomy mood. It was a rare thing to happen, considering the fact that he was perpetually mad at the state of the world he was living in. Yes, perhaps it was the age talking. Sighing, Albert perused a few minutes to slowly walk around the park to get rid of his melancholy, before sitting on a vandalised, albeit clean, park bench. Not far from where he sat, were a couple of young parents playing with their children. His thoughts automatically drifted to Arabella...and her predicament. Maybe he was to blame too. Had he been a bad father? Was he too strict? Was he too protective? Should he...let her go?

Albert closed his eyes and gracefully hung his head. Now, how can he possibly giver her hand away if he’s like this? A few seconds passed and the aged magizoologist straightened his back, held his head high and watched the scene before him with intensity. He just had a realisation. “I think I know what Antheia is trying to do...” he thought to himself, only to be distracted by the growing heat in his right hand.

Albert looked at his right hand holding a steaming take-away cup of coffee for Arabella, and lifted his left wrist to look at his watch. Realising that it would take her a few more minutes to find him, Albert resorted back to people watching with mild interest.

Arabella had just gotten back from a certainly intriguing interaction with a young man named Maverick and then an even stranger interaction with Kieran. Maverick was cute and all; however, Arabella was hesitant since Maverick had lied to her face to be coy though he HAD found her phone in the middle of the street when Ara had dropped it on her way to work at the DP. Though he had lied to be coy... Did people actually do that? She tutted in disbelief as she rounded the corner and then thought of the other man that she had run into. He had obviously followed her into a Beauty shop and had claimed to be purchasing goods for his pet toad. Beauty goods for his toad? The notion was ridiculous. With these being her two most recent endeavors into finding love and meeting people, Arabella was feeling somewhat... hopeless.

So when she received a text message from her father asking her to meet him in the City Park, she was more than happy to oblige. Perhaps he would know what to do. Father dearest always knew what to do. He had always understood her better than anyone else -- even Mother at times.

She found her father in the park people watching. An amused smile graced her lips as she walked up to him and watched his reaction to the young parents and children. "Does it remind you of us? Perhaps when Aramis and I weren't fighting over who got to sit with whom on the aeroplane?" she asked as she took a seat next to her father. He had aged a little. Perhaps he seemed more old due to the fact that she was noticing his thinning hair more so these days...? Then again perhaps he looked older next to the young parents with their children. "Sorry for being late. I had a rather unfortunate or fortunate run in... It's all dependent on how you look at it." Beat. "It's good to see you. How are you?"

He...really didn't have anything else up his sleeve for that.

She knew it was awkward for some people to realize how to treat the death of a zoo animal. Most people didn't understand the attachment you get by working with them all day every day and Khara had one of the biggest attachments to all her nifflers, she was their handler, but they were her family and she was blaming herself a little because if she had been alone in her apartment Herc would have been with her for twenty-four hour observation, but now things were different and she wasn't taking work home with her since it seemed to bother Digby. " Thank you, it will be alright, just a shock to many of us." She did appreciate the arm squeeze though and knew he meant well.

Watching Cami and Broc play together couldn't have been the best medicine that Khara needed. She smiled and laughed as the two seemed to get along nicely. "I think we will have to get these together to play more often." They were so much fun to watch, but soon she was looking back at Javi.

"Is work stressful right now or is something else going on?" She didn't know him to just take a personal day, but he did have a child so that could be the difference in knowing with Khara. She only took them when she was stressed, but she had to remember that when a child was involved things changed, priorities changed and now her eyes were back at Cami and something in her pulled a bit.

"It's a beautiful day to get out and be here."

Watching Cami and Broc play together couldn't have been the best medicine that Khara needed. She smiled and laughed as the two seemed to get along nicely. "I think we will have to get these together to play more often." They were so much fun to watch, but soon she was looking back at Javi.

"Is work stressful right now or is something else going on?" She didn't know him to just take a personal day, but he did have a child so that could be the difference in knowing with Khara. She only took them when she was stressed, but she had to remember that when a child was involved things changed, priorities changed and now her eyes were back at Cami and something in her pulled a bit.

"It's a beautiful day to get out and be here."

Javi tried to remember what exactly had been wrong with the niffler - he remembered Khara telling him about it, and knew he had been sick, and there had been...niffler babies or something? Or maybe a mate? He couldn't remember. Khara had so many nifflers to take care of! It was hard to keep them straight! Javi was amazed he remembered even THOSE tiny details, he was lucky most of the time if he remembered to change the cat's liter box before Pepper protested and began to pee on his clothes. "How are the other nifflers doing?" he asked, to be polite mainly. Would they be all upset too? Or not even care? Animals were NOT his forte like Khara.

"Oh, well, it's not work actually, it's..." Alright. Well, this was happening apparently. "Cami's birth mum. Karina. My ex, who gave her up without even telling me she existed," he grumbled. "She finally owled me back, after three years of me asking if she wanted to meet her. Now she does, apparently," he said. The words felt like they were sucking the soul out of him, and it just made him angry to think about her. Again. Not that she had ever really left his mind at all these past few days since he'd first gotten the letter.

He turned to watch Cami again. She had found a good spot to sit and pet Broc's head, even though she kind of...smacked his head, rather than petting it. She was still gentle of course, but it still made him chuckle. She did the same thing to Pepper.

Javi was sweet and very kind always and Khara had always been grateful for that. She enjoyed spending time with him and she gave a small smile to his question, "They are doing fine. Herc's babies are in the main area now and everyone is doing great." They didn't even notice his absence she was sure, though some would go visit the corner where his smaller cage had been and look for him, but then soon were gone to venture in other areas.

Her face which was set in a small smile soon moved to a frown and concerned look as she watched his face and body language. Her mother wanted to meet her? Eyes moving to Cami and Broc as Broc licked the little girl in the face she just couldn't understand how anyone could give up a child. Why would anyone want to give up a child? She wanted children one day but didn't know if that day would ever come. "What are you going to do?" She didn't know how she would feel if she was in the situation. "You know you don't have to, you can get a lawyer."

"Well that's good," Javi said with a soft smile. He knew that she would just feel AWFUL if the other nifflers were upset because of the other niffler's passing. Even though it wasn't her fault, of course - animals just got sick sometimes. It was life. He knew she knew that, though, but for someone whose entire JOB was animals, it probably wasn't easy at all.

His jaw tensed and he sighed, running a hand through his hair. "I don't know, honestly. I've been sending her letters for years offering to visit and she didn't respond once. If I'm being quite honest, I feel I have every right to never speak to her again, she DID relinquish all her rights and didn't fight me in court for custody - but she's her mum. Camila doesn't even know who she is, but...if given the opportunity, shouldn't she?" he muttered. It was a very long, very confusing, very COMPLICATED situation and he hated it. Javi wasn't one to deal with tough decisions on a GOOD day, let alone something this monumental. He watched the young girl giggle as the pup licked her face - she was completely oblivious to it all. As far as she was concerned, it was just the two of them.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to...burden you with my problems," he said with a small chuckle, trying to brush the tough situation aside.

She sat and listened, really listened. She had turned her body to face him more and even had put her hand on his arm as she looked concerned and feeling for him and this situation. She didn't have children or any situations to have personal experience with what he is going through.

"I think you need to do what's best for you and Cami, not what's good for her. She is the outsider and if you don't feel comfortable with it don't do it.

Javier hadn't even noticed Khara put his hand on his arm at first, but when he noticed it was there, he reached over and gave it a squeeze with a smile before letting go. He had been thinking along those lines...but having someone else say it, and validating that his thoughts were the right way to go, made him feel a lot better. All that mattered was Camila, and what was best for her. Not Karina.

"Thank you for that. I was thinking along the same lines but thought maybe I was being unfair. But she is what is important, not Karina," Javi nodded at the young girl, who was done playing with Broc and now running off to play with the dolls she had abandoned a few feet away when the dog first showed up. As far as her sticking around - he had a feeling there was no way she would stick around. She'd show up, say hi, and probably leave again. The fact that he had managed to date her for as long as he had was amazing in hindsight.

"I can't believe she's four already. I can't believe I have a four year old," he chuckled. It had gone by so fast, he felt like if he blinked, she would be at Hogwarts already, getting sorted! "I'm thinking of starting her in muggle school when she gets a bit older. Just to learn the basics, you know?" he said. Really, he was looking for a change of subject, not really wanting to talk about the whole Karina thing anymore.

"I think you are thinking right. I think you should keep your lawyer on hand and let her know how you feel. Maybe she needs to earn the trust from you before seeing Cami." Was that how it worked? She didn't know really and hoped she was giving the right advice.

When the conversation moved to his child Khara couldn't help but to watch the girl play. "A muggle school wouldn't be bad, she would learn so many things and not that I'm biased but it helps to understand muggles and bring that appreciation." Being a muggleborn she had a bit of a bias for that,
"I can give you information on the school I went to if you like. I mean it's not far from here."

"Yeah, I guess that's a good idea. No need to rush things," Javi replied with a shrug. After all, Cami WAS only four. Karina might be...but if she was, then that showed him just how noncommittal she really was. If she ran away before he even answered, that would just be proof that she was rotten to the core as he suspected.

She couldn't help but laugh at his question, how hadn't that come up before. "Yes I am a muggleborn. Both my parents were muggles, was the biggest shock of their life and they didn't take it well."
She thought of the memory for a moment. "Being an only child I was all they had, so I was going to school, playing sports, and just being the golden child, then they found out I was magic and everything changed. They got worried they couldn't keep the secret so we moved and they cut off pretty much all our family. They are the best parents and they did it for me,
but sometimes it just sad to think they lost all those years with their parents and siblings just because of me."

Though he probably didn't want all of that information and she smiled to show it was just a story and nothing else with her emotions. "The school I went to was a great primary school. I had a great time there. I think Cami would love it as well." Her eyes fell on the girl again and she was excited for her. There wasn't anything more exciting than school for the first time.

Perhaps he seemed more old due to the fact that she was noticing his thinning hair more so these days...? Then again perhaps he looked older next to the young parents with their children. "Sorry for being late. I had a rather unfortunate or fortunate run in... It's all dependent on how you look at it." Beat. "It's good to see you. How are you?"

Apparently, Arabella took her time, but Albert, for once, did not mind. He had been cooped up in his office in the Ministry and at the Ashgrove for quite some time, so the outdoors was definitely a welcome change. With nothing else to do, Albert continued to watch the young parents and their little monsters before him. The man somehow felt jealous but at the same time pity the first time parents. He too had been clueless when Arabella was born. He didn't know how to take care of a girl, considering that he was also born the youngest in the family. Albert was used to being cared for, and not the other way around. It had been annoying though when his older sister kept on kissing his puffy cheeks whenever she got the chance to babysit. Good times, actually.

Albert let out a silent chuckle, as he looked down on his hands again. Maybe, it isn't too late to care for another child. Perhaps, it'd be his way out of his current misery.

Arabella's voice brought him back to the present, and a good-natured smirk was on his face. "Better than that, actually. Do you remember that time when Aramis started to show his magic? He non-verbally flung a sticky pastry on a man's face during that trip to Greece. That loud man annoyed your brother like no other." Albert narrated, handing Arabella her coffee. "It's fine, my dear. We don't have business matters to attend to today, so you're off the hook. Also, I was able to spend my waiting time wisely by filling my lungs with fresh air. A first in so many weeks, mind you." he continued, folding his left leg over his right with a sigh. "I hope the encounter was fortunate, for your sake." Albert glanced at his daughter and then back to the young parents before them.

Albert took a good pause before breaking the silence once more. "I would like to know your opinion regarding us, adopting a child." he said, matter of factly, nodding his head once towards the toddlers before them. "I have been considering it since you and Aramis are already out of the house, and basically living on your own. Your mother, however, won't take 'no' for an answer." he said leaning back on the bench, and continued to eye a crying child this time, "So, thoughts?"

No support system, no extended family after knowing them for years, all because of one little secret...

"Well...you're making your own family, right? With your animals. And Digby," he nodded with a smile. "And Cami and I can be part of it too. The crazy cousins or something," he chuckled.
