"So you are still working in your old department, that is great" Katalin told her husband, she was glad that they both had brilliant jobs. |

Smiling warmly at J.J, Rachel replied, `I hope to work with you too!' |

REALLY? Sullivan did not want to be at the party in the first place and now he was waiting in the security check line even longer because he had to show his I.D? But, it was probably a good thing no one recognized him. Grumbling to himself anyway, he reached into his pocket and flashed his |

Elias approached the security check in with Caroline closely by, her little hand wrapped around his much bigger one. All the people were making him very nervous. Laura had a job interview and he had been invited to this... thing. For a Mr. Berty Borr. The unfamiliar name confused him. It was obviously somebody very important, hence the large party. And seeing as a major event was being held for somebody in very high placement in the ministry, it only made sense to come. Which left him stuck with their little five year old bundle of joy. Again, back to being nervous. He picked up the awed child and placed her on his hip, before continuing to navigate through the crowd and to the security. "Daddy!" Caroline squealed as she was lifted, unannounced, from her place on the ground beside her father. She wrapped her still little arms around his neck and lay her head down on his shoulder. "Sorry sweetheart," he apologized, "too many people." And left it at that. He stepped up to the check-in guard and stated his name. "Elias Pierce, Department of environmental regulation and protection," he looked down. "Oh, and this is my daughter Caroline." Man, that was a mouthful. He hoped he wouldn't have to keep restating that over and over again, otherwise this was going to be a very long day. |

Caroline looked up curiously as a man approached them. Instinctively, she clutched at her father's collar, holding on tightly with one hand. There were lots of people here. Some of them were sort of odd looking. This man wasn't odd, but he was very tall and a little on the big side. She smiled sheepishly, burying her face in her father's shoulder. Elias looked down affectionately at Caroline. "She's shy," he explained, though he wasn't sure why exactly he was explaining this to the man. He'd only just gotten here. |

" I have some homemade fudge in my jacket pocket and Caroline can have some if she wants it"" J.J. handed it to the man. " Wwll, there is a lot of people here and I do not blame you for being shy or scared" he smiled at Caroline." I have daughters at home, too" he smiled at the man and Caraoline. |
Late late late late LATE. Emmalee had gone to Maribeth's to return some things that the older woman had lent her rather reluctantly, and had be subjected to prolonged interrogation and then lecture. Why wasn't she at work. What was this nonsense about a party. For the love of Merlin, you can't possibly celebrate with those people. And on and on. Sighing, exasperatedly, and looking around to see if anyone would notice how abysmally late she was, she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. "Emmalee Quinn, Environmental Protection," she said, holding her ID out to whichever of the folks guarding this little shindig cared to take it. |
As Leonidas walked up to the strange device and walked through it, he was nervous that something bad was about to happen. But the thing didn't set off an alarm and he walked right in. Again. "Thank you," he said curtly. |
Jamie walked up to the security check in, a little nervous as she had never done this before and because she really didn't know what to say. She paused as she reached the check point and took a deep breath, stepping forward said politely; "Jamie Sullivan, Administration Services" That was right, right? She blinked and took another breath wondering where it all went from here. She looked around her and noticed a sigh saying free t-shirts. Hmm. "Is there free t-shirts?" She asked also. |
Please dont hold conversations in here, thats what the Party is for! Move along! Quote:

"Thank you for coming Miss Sullivan" the Young man smiled, one of his trademark lopsided grins, "And yes the shirts are most definately free!" he laughed as he handed it over, "You can take two if you want?" Anything to get rid of them "Have a nice time!" |
Lucy scratched the back of neck awkwardly as she moved forward inline. She was slightly panicky by now. Please. Please. Pul-eez let me in. She begged silently as she came up to the check in. She dark-haired and dark-eyed gal licked her lips Lu looked around and smiled at the free t-shirts. Coool. |

Iridesca headed through the crowd and out to the security check point. She looked over her shoulder to make sure they weren't being followed and to see if she could see any of the other members of group headed that way. She stepped to the side to clear the entrance for anyone still trying to enter the little shindig. She quickly glanced around and with a little flick of her right hand her wand shot from her wrist holster and into her hand. She wasn't in a defensive stance or anything, she just figured she needed to be ready for anything. |
Gavin had only seen the headmaster, school nurse and a few of the students when they came up to the dias, his attention having not passed much over the section set aside for the Hogwarts's contingent. So he wasn't entirely aware of just who all would be with them on the journey or if some would stay behind. The reminiscator hoped for the former for he wasn't entirely fond of the vibe he got when the students had been concerned earlier. Nevertheless when he stood aside near the security check-in with Iridesca he kept a watch. The man doing his best to appear insignificant and unworthy to be paid attention to by any watchers who might happen upon the pair awaiting the rest of the group. The time tha had been given was still somewhat plentiful as he glanced at his watch, though dwindling and he figured all to have been given the same amount. |
Parties were...not really Nolan's thing. Unless they were in his honor. And Lord Borr...he wasn't sure what he'd done to deserve a party but whatever. Nolan was really just eager to get started at his new job, and this shindig was just delaying that. Still, he figured it'd be good to show respect for his new boss, and he wanted to see if he spotted any familiar faces among the crowd. Straightening his glasses, he headed towards security and--OH MY MERLIN. WHAT were those hideous t-shirts doing here? Was he really expected to WEAR that? He'd put on his nicest cardigan for the event and everything! He sort of hoped that Ginger wouldn't show up. He didn't want her to have to endure the pain of having to wear one of those things too. |

"Thank you" She added before moving away, slowly leaving them behind to start mingling somewhere in the party. |
Arya was very aware of Sabel's presence as she made her way to the check-in and slowed the swinging of her bag when he joined her. Her eyes had been distractedly scanning the crowd for stray students as her thoughts remained centered on how... eventful the party had been. Certainly hadn't gone how she'd expected or wanted it to go. But they were leaving now, and she'd soon be able to put this whole day behind her. Since Tate didn't specify where they should go when arriving at the check-in, and the place seemed to still have a line, how she didn't know, the young Puff drifted over to the side with Sabel and waited for more familiars to join them. |
Sabel kept close to Arya all the way to the security-check in. And he remained close when they got there. Despite Borr's allowance for them to simply leave, he couldn't relax his mind enough to keep his eyes from darting about. For all they knew, the man could be playing a nasty trick, similar to forcing them to sing. When Arya stopped at the check-in, he drew up beside her, one hand tucked deep in his pocket, his wand hand free. Hopefully they could get out quick and just be done with this event. |
Tate left Lily and Josephina to watch the end of his rag tag group as he swept through the students already waiting to stand at the head of the line. They just needed their Auror escorts, and they could all take the Floo back to the school. "We're going to Gringott's, and I need you all to stick close, please. Don't wander off." |
