With that, he walked through the scanner and joined the rest of the guests. |
Pssh..... Miss Erica Radley did not need a security check. She glanced over at Armen at first, raising an eyebrow as to how loyally he was behaving today compared to when she spoke to him a few weeks back. The Blonde approached the security check area, scrubching her nose as she walked on over. "Erica Radley. Head of the Magical Creatures Department. As my fellow Head here has explained, I too am a guest here of Lord Borr's and we have important matters to get to." Maybe. Let's just say she was too important to be serving or handing out T-shirts, or doing whatever else the other departments were doing. "Oh and I would like one of those T-shirts." That was all. |
I'll bring Dorian in, in a bit, to help man the check-in *nods* But shoppie first. Aliceara couldn't exactly tell why there was suddenly a party occurring in the middle of Diagon Alley, or what exactly was causing the interruption to what was becoming her usual pattern of working idly in her shop while waiting for the next customer. It had seemed to be another lull, which she'd both looked at as an excuse to catch up on things and as something that was boring her to no end. She'd actually taken a quick photo shoot on in the meantime, when she hadn't created several new racks of robes as a way to pass time. Things were going on, but it seemed her shop wouldn't be too well-populated while this event was going on, so she'd merely locked her main shop door and headed out. Parties were her thing, or they had been in her previous occupation, and even though she'd been a bit on edge with the rumors of what had been going on around her, she wasn't about to not go. Just as she wasn't about to not attend while exquisitely dressed. Her hair wasn't anything special, as it was her usual tousled, wavy fall of brown silk, but it set off the rest of the outfit nicely. Until she got to the check-in, and raised a delicate eyebrow at mention of t-shirts. That wouldn't go with her dress at all, but she'd take one anyway. Maybe it was like a memento or something. All the best parties had those, even if she hadn't been to one in ages. Smiling at the first security person she came to, she spoke. "Aliceara Ravenswood. Shopkeeper at Madame Malkin's," she informed them in her friendliest voice. Just because she wasn't sure of things didn't mean she needed to transmit that to the people who were so graciously working. |

Oooh, the Daily Prophet Editor, very cool. "Of course, Mr. Hoshino." Ben said to the man, writing his name on the list. "I'll need your name, Ma'am. And ID. |
I hope I didn't take forever to respond! Quote:

It succeeded for the most part but the tips of his ears remained a subdued hue of pink. "Emanuelle Leroy," supplied Ian, stooping closer to the man hoping his voice to carry over the chattering nearby. His eyes honed in on the t-shirts they were being extended. He took them reluctantly, a brow finding its place high above his forehead. "I apologize. We should have had identification at the ready. I was unaware there would be so much security. Usually, I just present my press pass," he murmured and glanced over at Emmy, wondering if she had found her card inside her purse already. He was doing his best to stall and make chit chat--something that he was horrible at. Honestly, this is why he just flashed his press pass during events and kept walking. Speaking to complete strangers was permanently awkward and far too energy intensive for his liking. |

Pulling out her identification from her small, round pouch, the woman showed it to the man before them. "Will that be all, sir?" She inquired, and tried to keep a sneer off her mouth at the sight of the t-shirts. She very nearly succeeded. |
Iris made her way through all the people with the rest of the Hogwarts students. There were so many adults! Iris didn't like this... it was weird. She much preferred being with people her own age - or more, people who're younger than her. Smiling brightly at the security employee, Iris decided that, as a prefect, she should at least try to look like she "Uh... Hullo. I'm Iris Beaumont... One of the Hogwarts students." Helena made her way to the security check in. This party most certainly was not her idea of fun. She'd still made the effort though. Helena wondered if the Hogwarts students had already arrived. Iris had never explained why she was one of the students chosen to come today. She waited in turn for a while, until one of the security blokes were free. Walking up to one of security employees, Helena offered a half-hearted smile. "Helena Beaumont: International Cooperation." Was adding her division necessary, too? Helena wasn't entirely sure. "And ... what is this talk about T-shirts?" Because this woman would not be wearing one of them. |
Zacharias came in to Diagon Alley because he had received word that all Ministry of Magic employees are invited to the party that is hosted by the new Junior Undersecretary Lord Berty Borr. He stepped in to the security check in wearing his nice black jacket with matching white shirt and black jeans. He thought he look casual and at the same time he doesn't know if there is a dress code or something. He took his ID from his pocket and flashed it to the security people and it says: Zacharias David McMahon:Minister's Office |

Aphrodite walked up to the security guard calmly. She brushed her slightly curled hair out of her face as she spoke. "Hi, Aphrodite Starlight, Accidental Magical Reversal Squad?" She said, smiling slightly, glancing at the large pile of tee's beside him. "What are they for?" |
I have to Security check myself......LOL! Excuse me as I struggle to work this out Prometheus felt like a tool! The young man considered himself to be quite the stylish person, and the Lord Borr shirts were in no way stylish. Laughing as he arrived at the security desk, he smiled at Dacs, Dorian and Benjamin, before turning to Bole and saying, "The things we do for the Ministry!" Smoothing his vintage Calvin Klien Suit, and trying to cover the Borr Shirt as much as possible, he prepared himself for a long day! 'And here we going' he thought as the party-goers started to line up before him! Quote:
One down, and his cheeks were already hurting......... Quote:
Hopefully the chief robe-seller didn't find a forced dress code, an insult.... Quote:
"Nice to have you with us, Miss Beaumont," Prometheus smiled, as he found the girl on the Student ledger, "Ahh a prefect I see! Well hopefully you get something out of today....well besides this shirt" Quote:
"Enjoy!" Quote:

"Here's your shirt buddy!" Quote:
Gosh this was getting monotonous, smile name shirt, smile name shirt, smile name shirt, over and over......however he was something to break it up. "Name?" "Patroclus Hudson" "Sorry Mate, you're not on the list," "Prometheus, don't be a tool," "Not on the list, not in the party" "Ummm I was personally selected to attend," "Must have been a mistake, was probably just my invite, Patroclus, Prometheus, very similar names! "Oh my god just let me in" "I will have to think about it!" |

As Emmanuelle retrieved her ID, Ben spoke to her arm-candy. "It's okay." Ben said reassuringly to the editor. "There's just a lot of important people, here." The Detective took a look at the ID through his sunglasses, and found everything A-OK. "Ok... Enjoy yourselves!" Then New Yorker said, writing their names on the list, and handing each of them one of the hideous T-Shirts. |
Apparating not far away from them bank Kyle chuckled.A ministry party.Maybe it wasnt too far away that he finally got his letter?!That would be something good in his life for a change.Sounded cool. Just think positive. Walking up tp the security guard he smiled."Whats up?" |
Ben was tired of faking his smile.... He couldn't even enjoy the benefits of a day off. Instead, 'Name....... Id......' Blah, he'd rather use his talents to find out more about this group slowly inching their way through the Ministry. Quote:
Ben just shrugged off the informality. "Name and ID, please?" |

"Let me guess....older brother," he commented, silently thankful his own brother hadn't been assigned to work at the security check point to cause him trouble like the man was trying to do to his teammate. If his assumption was true they had that in common. "Um...thanks," the captain remarked accepting the t-shirt with no real thrill at the idea. Gavin certainly wasn't looking forward the what was planned but directives from department heads usually weren't a good thing to ignore so the accidents and catastrophes employee was there at the security checkpoint. A sense of deja vu from the last time he'd been at a big event but at least the Quidditch World Cup had been fun...this was bound to be anything but. "Gavin McNally, Accidents and Catatrophes department," he supplied when it was his turn at the checkpoint. |

Eyeing the shirt unpleasantly, Iris glanced back at the security man. "I'll try to get something out of today though. Thank you!" Think positive thoughts, Iris! It'll only be a few hours! Quote:
"Oh, they've already arrived?" She asked, eyebrows raised lightly. "Yes... That would be my daughter." There was a proud tone as she said that. She had every reason to be proud of her daughter, and she'd let people know that very subtly. As the man told her to enjoy, Helena laughed and replied with, "I'll try to!" Before heading into the tent. |
Clad in a dark green dress especially for Lord Borr's party Clarissa arrived at the checkpoint. She had a scarf around her neck and one fastened to her handbag. The party and the appointment of Lord Borrs was so big that everyone in her department and the ministry as a whole had been given a day off to attend. The red head took her place in the queue leading to the security checkpoint. The queue moved forward in snail speed. When it was finally her turn she supplied "Clarissa Stimpson, Magical Creatures department." |
Jake followed the rest of the invited Hogwarts students to the check-in, and got his invitation out of the pocket on the inside of his suit jacket. There was a Hogwarts student nearby that Jake didn't recognise, and he frowned in slight confusion. Whuuuuuuuuuut? Anyway. Yes. Now to get in. |

"Thank you," he simply said, before taking another quick glance over his shoulder. Again, he saw no one in particular, so with his t-shirt tucked under his arm, he slid through the checkpoint and into the party. Text Cut: Alexander Wrekin and Gretchen Montasio On his way in, he paused to give two familiar faces a quick nod in greeting before making his way to the seating area. |
Ramona almost rolled her eyes as she turned into the street, she'd heard about the HIDEOUS shirts and had pulled on her pumps rather than heels, this was a....upstand-y day, she walked over to the tent, Ramona Marqueen, I work in security she said, smiling somewhat fixed-ly. She hated these days |
Amaria quickly walks down the middle of Diagon Alley after apparating into the Leaky Cauldron to find the party. She saw a sign about t-shirts interesting, not her style but why not. Be a good employee support the new person of the ministry. She stops as she gets to check-in. "Amaria Lee, ministry employee," she says to the person standing there. |
xD I'd purposely chose to not check myself. But now, two charries in one post. ;) Quote:
Dorian hadn't exactly wanted to wear the Borr t-shirt, but if they were to blend in, it seemed it was necessary. It was against his will, which he had a feeling only his fellow MLE staff would know, since he'd figured his occlumency was back where it needed. Untested, but he felt he could block his emotions and everything about as well as possible. In either case, it seemed he'd gone with the popular idea regarding wearing the shirt, and had it on underneath a navy blue button-down shirt, long sleeves hiding the one wand he had in a holster on his forearm but buttons mostly open just so he wouldn't get hassled. His personal wand was in a holster around his calf, hidden by his black jeans, as he wasn't going to leave it at home. Being prepared for anything was the game. Quote:
