He really wasn't sure what was going on, but he knew there wasn't much time to get everyone organized. As soon as they had reached the buffet table, he drew Arya close to whisper in her ear. "Start passing the word around that we have to get ready to leave. Make sure people play it low key, we don't know what type of fuss Borr will kick up with all of us just trying to leave."

Giving her hand a squeeze and a quick kiss to her cheek, he parted from her and did just that. Moving through the chairs, he aimed to find as many as he could to start the chain of communication through. Lexi would have been perfect. If he could find Lexi.

She was REALLY tempted to just yell 'run to the nearest exit we're gettin outta here!', but she knew that would probably get her strange looks from more than the other students. Her arm slid around Sabel when he pulled her close, and she nodded her head at his instructions. Great idea.

Parting from him she went to the closest student, and one she thought would be best at helping spread the word. Prefects were good for things like that, right? Right. "Iris," she took a seat beside the girl and leaned forward to speak in a low tone. "Tate says we have to gather the students to get ready to leave, just make sure none of Borr's people find out." Iris would know why she hoped.

“Nope no clue where he is,” Simon answered, leaving out the part of him not really caring at the moment. The man was hardly on he was interested in and as Sabel had pointed out could by all means have something against him as an uninterested student. But he had seen the effect Ikenna had on his two friends and wasn’t about to upset either of then anymore then they already were at the moment.

Sitting quietly for a while as the two girls sat together, Simon heard the sounds of footsteps nearby. But it wasn’t until he focused on the words and landed on leaving that he registered what the overheard conversation was about. “I think we may be leaving….” He offered to his companions, moving to head out from under the table to check things out.

Lilyan made her way through the crowd and towards the cluster of students, who seemed to already know of the news. Sabel and Arya seemed to have a good handle on things. "Bit of a change of plans dears, we're leaving."

She glanced around the crowd, "Is anyone missing?"

Lexi listened to Simon speak, but she was lost in her own thoughts for a moment. Where WAS Mr. Ikenna? Really. Where? Why would no one tell her. He was her FRIEND. Sighs.

Wait...

What? Lexi gripped her LouBoutin's tighter and lifted the edge of the table cloth with the heel of one and stuck her little blonde head out from beneath the cloth. "Healer Moretti! What's going on?" she called out in a bit of a panic. She still had raccoon eyes and her hair had gotten all messed up.

SIGHS. We need hugs, Healer Moretti. Lots of hugs.

Tugging on Kurumi's hand she started to crawl out from beneath the table in as ladylike a manner as possible.

Sabel had been heading back over to where he had last seen Lexi. To the chair that was once occupied and now, suddenly empty. He was nearly there too, when a random head...no TWO heads decided to pop out from under the table! And crawling out from under it! Half way to a heart attack with panic, he jumped back and nearly trip backwards off the dais. Thankfully, that seemed to be what the chairs were for, and he latched on for dear life, staring down at the disembodied head. What in the.... "Simon? Lexi?"

Rapid blinking. "What in the blazes are you doing under the---" It didn't matter did it? He shook his head firmly, attempting to throw off the surprise. Still maintaining a grip on the chair, he lowered himself to his haunches and leaned forward, almost conspiratorily. Really, he wasn't sure who should be hearing this besides the students. And just when he was about to make mention of their escape, the Healer was back and making an announcement of it. He was almost tempted to raise his hand and say he found another one, but now wasn't really the time for jokes.

Another bit of rapid blinking and he drew his head back, peeking over the table at the woman before looking back at Simon and Lexi. Well that took care of that. Except that... "There's something going on at Hogwarts. Professor Vindictus sent a patronus. We need to get organized and out of here as quickly as we can." And judging by the location of the two of them, they wouldn't be adverse to leaving as quickly as possible.

Oh. There were children under the table?

Why?

"Nothing that we need to worry about right now dear." She assured, gesturing for her to come out, "You'll be filled in when we get back to the school, I'm sure." She squinted at the table, "Is there anyone else down there with you?"

OMG Sabel, stop being a drama king. Seriously. Act like you have never seen a few teenagers under a table. The little lioness hadn't wanted anyone seeing her CRY. Really. She gave him a look. One with pursed lips SO pursed her mother would have been PROUD.

Wait... why was he LOOKING at her like that. Ew. Stoppit. She waved her hands at him rather SHOO-y like and finally emerged fully from beneath the table and stood up trying to brush the wrinkles from her dress. MEH.

Sticking a hand out for SOMEONE to take she set her shoes down very carefully in front of herself and waited... someone take her hand so she can balance. Now. Please.

WHOA. Vinid sent a Patronus to Tate. Something was definitely up then. She was sure of it. She looked at Sabel and chewed on her lip a bit and ran the stolen linen under her snotty nose again. Great. Trouble at Hogwarts. Who would have thunk it?

Lexi turned and nodded at the Healer and said, "Yes ma'am. Kurumi and Simon are. They came to check on me." Fact. There was no weird stuff going on. Just a few confused/frightened Gryffindor children.

Simon raised an eyebrow at Sabel's reaction. Was his sudden appearance from beneath the table really enough to scare or shock the seventh year? He didn't have much time to wonder when the boy filled them in.

Trouble...at Hogwarts

Now that was certainly unexpected as the reason they would be leaving early. One could only guess what it was at the time, however Simon figured it had to be serious for a patronus to be sent. Unless of course Tate had arranged for Vindictus to send it as an excuse to get them back...no that would raise flags with Ikenna and co.

Up on his own feet, Simon was about to answer the healer when Lexi did instead, the captain taking her outstretched hand to help her up to her own feet. "Yeah just us."

Satine got up from her seat and headed towards the now growing crowd surrounding the Healer...she knew that something had to be happening for all this excitement to be surrounding the woman.

She quickly hurried over and listened carefully to what she was saying...Satine thought at first that they were leaving because this party was rather boring....but then after glancing at the Healer's face and seeing her solumn face, she knew there was a much more important reason for their leaving.

She instantly decided to make sure she stuck with the crowd, even if she still didn't many of them very well.

Apparently popping out from under a table like gophers was a normal thing, given the weird expressions Simon and Lexi had towards his reaction. It earned a brief raised eyebrow before his attention was back on the more serious matters at hand. Perhaps hiding under the table was best after all, not like Borr would take the initiative to look under the linens.

In any matter he gave Simon and Lexi space to exit the hideout, glancing back and forth between all the parties of the exchange. Would they be able to get out without Borr putting up a fuss? Or would security be locked down on them. He hoped not. He hoped Borr didn't have the point of view that all students and the Headmaster weren't necessary to quell an incident back at the school. Hopefully, they could just get out of here.

He gave Lexi a slight nod, indicating she had heard him right. Something was happening at Hogwarts. What else was new?

Kurumi followed Lexi out from under the table and didn't let go of Mama Lion's hand as everyone around her began talking in rapid fire about something going on at Hogwarts.

That...wasn't anything new...was it? Granted, this was only her second year, but she had spent plenty of time in the library reading through records and it seemed like there was always SOMETHING going on to disturb the calm lifestyle of a young witch.

Talk about an oxymoron...

Kurumi then heard Healer Moretti speak. "Me," she said raising her free hand as she had now completely emerged from under the table.

Wait, they were already leaving?

"We are going back to school?" Kurumi said with a forced sad expression on her face. She had been ready to go back for some time now. "Shouldn't we, um, shouldn't we all go thank Lord Borr for inviting us before we leave?" That was the polite thing to do. Only probably was that he would probably try and make them sing a good-bye song if they did.

Iris had zoned out. She was bored! Being pulled away from her thoughts as someone started to speak to her, Iris gave her a somewhat confused look.

They had to gather all of the students?

"Okay." She said, simply. The girl, who's name Iris couldn't remember, seemed confused about what was going on. Truthfully, Iris was confused too. She didn't let that show though. Standing up, Iris did a head count. This was everyone, right? ... Unless there were a few students who'd strayed off to the buffet or something.

HOW were they going to LEAVE without Borr's people noticing?! Those people seemed to see EVERYTHING.

Time to be sneaky? ...

Iris really must have missed something here. Everyone else seemed to know what was going on but her.

See, if this thing wasn't so boring, then she'd never have started day dreaming and would be fully aware of what's going on. This is your fault, Borr!

Looking at the Healer, Iris shook her head. "I don't think so... I think we're all here."

Lexi took Simon's outstretched hand so that she could balance and step into her shoes. Ahhhh they were like a little slice of Heaven on her feeties. Heheh. Oh yeah. Scary stuff happening. THey needed to FOCUS.

Glancing back at Sabel she sighed heavily. "One year... I just want one year where nothing goes wrong," she muttered glumly. ONE YEAR. PLEASE.

She smiled softly at Kurumi and patted her little head with her free hand as she squeezed her little hand with the other. "Yes, we're going back. There is something going on and we have been summoned back immediately. And NO we should not go near that bloody gas bag ever again, if we can help it," she said soothingly.

No. Lexi Denver had no intention of EVER being near that man ever again if she could help it. No way, no how. She stood up a bit straighter and grasped Kurumi's hand firmly. Looking down at the little lion she said, "Don't let go of my hand. Okay? I don't want to lose you."

Then she cast a glance around and sighed. "We are missing someone... where is Patroclus?"

When the Slytherin Prefect had been informed, and her HoH had come to gather up the students, she moved back to the seat she'd been occupying before. Sure the other girl seemed confused at first, but the Healer was here, so surely she wasn't confused now.

Pulling her bottom lip in between her teeth, she sucked on it, brown eyes on her Head. Not all the students were at the table, and she briefly wondered if someone was going to search for them and who that someone would be as her fingers hooked onto her gift bag.

"Excellent, we're all gathered," Tate came up behind Lily and peered at the growing crowd over her shoulder. "Look for your housemates and let us know if anyone is missing. Miss Hollingberry, if you tell Borr or any of his cronies that we're leaving, we'll never leave this place in peace. I'll mute you if necessary, so make good choices."

He looked for the other professors, hoping they would take up the tail end of their ragtag little party. "If we get separated, meet at the Security Check Point. Anyone missing?"

Patroclus couldn't help but laugh, Mr Jackson had a point, but so did he, "No I just mean unwarranted, and surprise attacks could be classed as aggravated, as one has no idea what they could be having shot at them"

Hold on, why wasn't the other man getting in trouble to, he was the one who had attack Patroclus without reason, what if he had been hit my the gust of wind and broken a wrist as he put his hand down to steady himself.....no he got off scott free, maybe Mr Jackson was a Walprugi aswell....


Patroclus had left the Hogwarts area to get a gift bag, he was coming back with a 36 Galleon fine!
Lord Borr should totally pay for it, he was the reason I am here after all, Patroclus mused to himself.

Damien sighed heavily. WHY did the child insist on speaking further? WHY? Setting his jaw he waited a moment, centering himself, before he spoke again. "It was a gust of wind, kid. No need to be so dramatic. Just pay the fine or you will have to appear before the Wizengamot. Like I said, I could have snapped that wand of yours for casting underage. Be grateful I saw fit to take pity," he said plainly. Now please be quiet! It's not like he WANTED to let the scummy old cultist go... he had NO CHOICE.

Clearing his throat as he dragged the Prefect onto the student area he nodded his head at Tate and said, "Forgot this one. I'ma talk to the Wizengamot about them leashes. See you lot at the check point." Smirk. He had already removed his hat and vanished it or he would have tipped at them all.

GAH. It stunk like... CHILDREN up there. Placing a hand over his mouth he turned on the spot and apparated to the check point. Buh Bye.

Iris looked to Patroclus as he appeared, and raised an eyebrow at him, asking what had happenened, and why he was being accompanied by that Ministry bloke.

Then, it seemed Borr had noticed them leaving. AHH. He was going to eat them all or something!

... But no.

He was saying they were setting an example? Iris stared up at the large man as he spoke. He seemed far too cheerful. This man was actually insane. Completely mental. Iris's theory of him being mental seemed confirmed at what he said next.

OWL's and NEWT's were cancelled.

WHAT IN THE NAME OF MERLIN?!

Why would he do that??? It's so stupid! Sure, no exams, GREAT. But NEWT's are what get you ANYWHERE in the world! How does Borr expect the 7th Years to get anywhere without qualifications next year?

Gah. The man really was an idiot.

Iris focused her gaze back to Tate. She wanted to leave. Now. Before Borr's stupid idea's started to creep into her mind...

Satine's face went completely blank when she realized that Borr had seen them leaving....she glanced from Tate to Borr as if she as afraid that Borr was going to ask them up to the front again and then make fun of them or....

WHOA! What? Did he just say what she thought he said...did he just mention canceling tests....WHAT IS HE THINKING?

The book nerd in her was angry...those tests is what decided so much for students...surely this was just for this year...or maybe this was just a joke so he would look good in front of the wizards in attendance...I mean surely the Minster wouldn't allow this.

She looked at Iris and mouthed the words, "That man is crazy."

Lily turned around to face Tate when Lord Borr announced that the students were getting ready to leave.... and he'd cancelled the OWLS and NEWTS.....?

She raised her eyebrow at Casey, not really wanting to see his reaction to that, but unable to help it. "I believe all of the students are here, but I'm not sure where Hecate and Josephina have wandered off to."

It wasn't really the time for persecuting his students, and Tate watched the Auror leave with a level look. He placed a heavy hand on Hudson's shoulder, drawing him to his side.

"Bigger fish to fry, lad. Those galleons don't mean a thing to you, so you might as well count it as a life lesson you can tell your children about someday. Make it a big, hairy story and impress some girl with it. But let it go." That was his theme of the day. Let it go.

Let go the injustices and the indignities. Let go the canceling of the tests that were sure to imperil the future of his current crop of fifth and seventh years.

Just get the kids home and help Max out of the mess he was in.

"They can catch up, I suppose. Let's head to the check point." He raised his hand in a clear gesture that they were moving.

"Students... to the check point, please."

Keeping his attention on the headmaster surely ready to leave whenever they were going to, Simon wasn't looking to the dias anymore to notice the large man getting back up to his feet to speak again. He froze as he heard him mention noticing the school members getting ready to leave, worried they would be stopped by Lord Borr. However his next words were even more surprising.

OWLS and NEWTS cancelled?! What in Merlin's beard....why?

Simon sighed as Iris and Satine commented on the whole issue, absently nodding in agreement but staying quiet. His attention switched back to Tate when the older man spoke up again directing them back to the check-in point. He moved to do as was asked keeping an eye on Lexi and Kurumi to make sure they were with them.

Arya wasn't really bothered by the cancellation of OWLs and NEWTs because she didn't have to take them this therm. And Borr had said nothing about regular exams so she probably still had studying to do. Though she was very aware of the fact that the man was possibly ruining the chances for the fifth and seventh years to succeeded after Hogwarts.

So she said nothing, just watched the large man make a show silently and ignore the clapping from the crowd. At least he didn't seem bothered by their departure. More than ready to leave the party, she glanced over at Sabel as she gathered up her gift bag and began making her way over to the check point.
