Have a meal on the Ministry! All you can eat buffet.

Wander Wander Wander.

Okay. Anastasia was trying to get lost on purpose, but that was because she was trying to find someone, she needed friends, yes, lotsa friends she needed!

She made her way to where the food was, but not for the friend reason, she was hungry! She need food! And this buffet looked so yummy that even if she wasn't hungry she had to eat some!

Ali looked around, shocked there was so much food and how on earth could you get food from the second tier without getting ones from the bottom tier on your dress - or shirt. She chuckled.

She noticed a girl she hadn't worked with before and smiled, she was hungry as well. She quickly grabbed a plate and placed some food onto the plate. Looking over she smiled, "Hi," she called to the girl. "I'm Alicia,"

Katrina walked over to the buffet table, the weird t-shirt given out was draped over one arm, covering up her metallic silver bag. There was no way she was wearing it unless she had to. It was just a party favor after all. She didn't even know why she was at the buffet table. Then she remembered. It was too early to be hungry, no, she was looking for coffee. She had to calm her nerves somehow and she hoped that at this thing they would at least serve some sort of decent tasting coffee. At least, she hoped so. She sighed and looked around the table, eyes trailing over all the options of drinks and snacks. But where was the coffee?!

Katrina was still scanning the selections of everything but coffee when someone bumped into her, causing the horrid t-shirt to drop. "Oh!" Katrina exclaimed as she stumbled a bit in her Jimmy Choo heels. She regained her balance and just smiled at the woman who had bumped into her. "It's alright, quite used to it really," Katrina giggled nervously. She shook her head. "I'm fine, it's alright, believe me, if I stepped on you in these shoes they would hurt a lot more," Katrina said seriously. Which was true. Katrina shook her head, shaking away what she was thinking. She stuck out a hand, her many bracelets clanging against each other. "I'm Katrina, Katrina Rayne that is," she said with a warm and friendly smile.

Katrina smiled at the other woman and curtsied slightly. "It's nice to meet you Miss Devereaux," she said politely as she tucked a strand of stray blonde hair behind her ear. She knew she should've done it up. That way it wouldn't be so much of a pain. "How do you do?" she asked.

She smiled, the curtsy was nice - but unneeded. "Pleasure to meet you as well," She smiled, "Oh I'm alright - wishing this guy I met the other day was here...he works security and is rather nice...also knows that clumsy people sometimes need extra watching." She laughed, as she was the clumsy one in this case.

"Quite well, I'd rather not be here - but thats because I don't want to deal with the inevitable yelling." She admitted with a chuckled.

"And how are you doing?" She asked smiling.

"Nice to meet you, I am glad your alright, I'm Anastasia Riddle, um, random question but do you know why there are Hogwarts students here?" Anastasia asked, she found this so odd, isn't this for Minersty of Magic employees?

Anita made her way to the buffet tables with her boxes of goodies and when she spotted an empty space she set them down and began to place the platter within the boxes here and there. Her special treats for the occassion. Of course she had a VERY special box for Lord Borr himself. Heheh.

Okay, candy set out, goodies arranged within the spread... now where were all the lovely men? Rawrrr.

"Oh right, the Hogwarts students were aloud to come seeing as Borr used to be a Professor there and also because well, it marks a large change in the ministry workings and happenings." She smiled, then sighing she added, "I can't believe we have to wait so long to go back to work - I actually in the mean-time might get a second job as the coffee girl at the Daily Prophet. I personally fell like we need a life & style collumn about the Ministry happenings...like how people really felt about the appointment of Lord Borr." She smiled.

She wouldn't be surprised. She would be surprised if she found Jamie. It was like they were over or whatever. Whatever. It was just confusing to think about it and she couldn't deal with it.

"Honestly, me either, I don't trust my younger sister with my brother," Katrina admitted. She wondered what mess she would go home to this time.

Katrina thought about it momentarily. "Alright, I suppose, this is quite odd though," she said, glancing around. First changes around the Ministry now this. It had odd written all over it.

Making the rounds while also being on the lookout for Charles, Kaishu approached the buffet table and stuff a rather large quiche in his mouth. It tasted delightful, but it would have been much wiser if he had taken smaller bites. Now...where was a napkin.

"Here you go, old friend," Charles smiled handing him a napkin and being sure to show his undercover badge before his bandmate could blow his cover.

"Cha----Winston," Kaishu said raising his pitch in confusion, along with an eyebrow. "Are you bloody mad, man? Your daughter is here!"

"I know," he replied sadly glancing over at the student seating area where he could see Kurumi wearing his wife's old kimono. "She looks happy though, doesn't she..." he began to reach into his pocket for the wallet-sized photo album he always carried around with him filled with countless pictures of Kurumi.

"Keep that in your pocket," Kaishu warned more out of not wanting to hear the account of how Kurumi had spilled milk all over the kitchen floor for the umpteenth time.

"Pleasure to meet you," Charles smiled. "My name is Winston Lionheart, I'm with the American Ministry." He shot Kaishu a quick look that told him not to ask any questions.

Ryoma felt like turning around and running back to the pretty blondes when he saw his father flaunting his hair with some woman and a man he thought that he recognized, but he could be to sure. "So, Alexander," he said grabbing a glass of something bubbly. "Why the interest in the Ministry?" Had he been rejected for a job too? They should go on strike!

Milton walked slowly to the buffet. This looked like a safe place to start 'partying'. He grabbed a plate and approached the food. His hand hovered over some chicken-looking stuff and then moved over a sandwich.

Great. Not only was he at a party. But he was at a party where he didn't know what to eat. There was proper food culture at parties right?

Settling on a scoop of some kind of salad he put some on his plate.

Mission accomplished. He had been invited to a party and had now put some food on his plate. As soon as he finished eating he could call it a night... right?

After getting past the security check-in, Aliceara had made somewhat of a beeline for what seemed the closest thing to normal at the party. After folding the t-shirt up tiny and placing it inside her gold clutch, as she'd decided against trying to dress down her outfit, even if the shirt would have been pretty well hidden anyway. She'd just use her occupation as an excuse if necessary, but she hoped nobody she talked with would find it much of an issue anyway. Seating would be more apt for talking to people, generally, but at least if she got some food she'd have something to occupy herself with while she was in the usual superficial conversations that occurred at parties like this.

Looping her tousled hair behind one ear as she perused the selection, she shifted her bag in order to select a plate, then it seemed things were destined to be less elegant than she was used to being at events. Upon reaching over for some shrimp to go with the vegetables she'd already chosen, her arm hit a man who was standing nearby and jostled his plate a bit. "Oh, I'm sorry," she said with an apologetic smile, before she realized he seemed a little lost. About what, she wasn't sure, but given the location she could make an educated guess. "Can't decide what to choose? I'd go small, but then that's what I'm used to at parties," she continued with a somewhat less apologetic smile. "I don't believe we've met. Aliceara Ravenswood, shopkeeper at Madame Malkin's." And ~~former~~ successful actress and model, but it seemed most people hadn't picked up on that. He didn't seem like a Ministry person, which piqued her curiosity more. Since that meant he was either a random guest or one of her fellow Diagon Alley people, and that just reminded her that hiding wasn't good. Nobody here probably knew her cousin anyway.

Medea, donning her stupid blue shirt, made her way to the buffet. So far she was not impressed. Not that that was anything new; rarely did anything impress her.

Meh. Nothing looked good. She mindlessly walked down the length of the tables.

Absent mindedly she picked a napkin and piled some cheese and crackers on it. As she looked at everyone further Medea stood there silently. The dark haired woman didn't try and hide the fact that she was looking at each and every one of them very carefully. Nothing suspicious

She did find herself wondering if she’d work with any of these people in her new job. The woman was certainly excited about the position. In the Minister’s office no less! Her excitement did not reach her face.

These people were so chatty. She let her annoyance show. Medea found a wall and put her back on it, lifting her right foot she placed it on the wall as well.

Nom.Cheese.Nom.Cracker.

Milton was busy deciding what to do next when someone oh-so-rudely bumped into him.

He sighed. "No worries." he said after regaining balance of his plate.

Oh, and now the lady was introducing herself. "I'm... uh... Milton... Bradley" he said hoping that she was just another pureblood. So far he'd had great luck with people not commenting on his name, he'd hate for that luck to run out. "I work in Madame Primpernelle's." he said. He turned to look at the fellow shopkeeper. She was gorgeous... which made Milton feel like an idiot. He was getting party advice... from someone that obviously got invited to a lot of parties... and someone he'd most likely have to see again.

Yup. From what he'd heard about parties this seemed the way they normally went.

"I was... er.. just deciding where to sit." he said. That was a good excuse to why he looked confused, right? "I wasn't sure if there was a proper order or something... since this is celebrating the promotion of someone." Someone whom he had never met. And by the looks of it all of England was invited to this thing.

All this walking around and greeting the public was making the Transportation Department Head a little hungry. Having heard that the Dept. Head from International Coop. was in charge of the food he was sure to stop by the long buffet table before all the good stuff had been picked over. Glancing around at all of the people: Students, professors, shopkeepers, press, and employees he smiled and was happy that they had all shown up to support Lord Borr and the eventful 'change' that would be sweeping the Ministry.

He grabbed a plate and began to look at the goodies before him, his bright blue Borr t-shirt worn proudly. He was a special guest today!

Charles gave Kaishu a look. Was he honestly flirting with this lovely young lady? She looked a bit too young for him and, well, Charles was pretty sure that he friend still wasn't over the death of his wife. Which, you know, explained why he was so over protective of his son. Charles had heard he was working in Diagon Alley now, but he didn't know where. Perhaps he was at the party. Wouldn't that just be madening...He really didn't need more stress with keeping his cover.

"Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it whether it exists or not, diagnosing it incorrectly, and applying the wrong remedy," he laughed. "But, in all honesty, I am not one for politics myself, which is why I think it is best for me to be involved. People who life for politics, only live to gain for themselves." He smiled at Anita and then his ears perked up when she mentioned sweets. "My daughter loves making sweets. Not so much candies, but cookies. Last I heard from her she was trying to bake cookies using chocolate frogs...," he said as he began reaching for his wallet-o-pictures.

Kaishu jabbed Charles in the side. "Winston, I don't THINK Ms Anita wants to hear stories about your DAUGHTER for hours on end," he said though clenched teeth.
