The small room has two round tables and a counter. Come in to make yourself some tea or coffee. There is always a basket or two of muffins littering the counter along with cheese pastries which are rumored to be the Head of the Department's favorite.

The different cultures in the department come to a loud, colorful splash in this room with red hues everywhere along with green and blues. There are paper lanterns hanging from the ceiling and there are even garlic wreathes decorating one of the false windows.

Fiona came to her job a little bit earlier, than she expected. She was very sleepy, so she decided to make herself a coffee. There was a room called "Break Room", so she went there and started to make some. She expected, everyone to come in, a few minutes later, so she sat down near the window with garlic wreathes and slowly drank her coffee.

Soon, someone came in.

Yes, she was definitely early. Gregoria could tell by how empty the Atrium had seemed and the fact that the guard was dozing off with his eyes wide open. Having not bothered with breakfast, Miss Matos decided that a visit to the Multicultural Lounge would be a very good idea.

Sauntering into the colorful room, one hand on the door knob of the door, the other busy dusting off non-existent dirt from her black wrap dress Greg fixed her brown eyes on the woman by the pretend window.

"Good morning," greeted the Head of Department with a smile. "Hope you're doing well."

Fiona nearly feel asleep, while she was sitting there sipping her coffee and "reading" the newspaper. When, she heard someone coming in, she quickly jumped and pretend, she was wide awake and interested in the newspaper in front of her.

She saw it was her boss, and kindly said: "OOh, good Morning Gregoria. Yes, indeed, I'm doing well, but I'm still sleepy."

Standing up, holding a mug in one hand and putting the newspaper back to it's place, she added: "Do you want some coffee?"

Greg smiled, determined not to chuckle at her employee caught off guard. Nodding slightly, she approached her and pretended to be highly interested at the view the pretend window was displaying.

"Not a morning person I'll assume," she spoke, peering into a large box of donuts. "Oh, no dear. I don't drink coffee. Caffeine excites me too much."

Kaitlin entered the Lounge desperatly in need of coffee. Eyeing the coffee maker she quickly brewed herself a cup not noticing her boss and Fiona. Kaitlin turned around sipping her cup of coffee and was greeted by the two women.
"Oh! Hello Gregoria, Fiona," she said with a smile.

Fiona was really happy her boss didn't notice anything. She stand up and went to the counter for some more coffee.

"Noo, not at all," she replied, while walking. "I prefer sleeping more and working till the evening. No, coffe, huh? I'd die without it. Want some tea, then?"

Fiona noticed that someone else was in the room and she turned around. "Hi Kaitlin!" she said. She checked her watch. It was nearly 8 o'clock.

Matos smiled and moved on to the smaller box beside the donut box and fished out a cheese filled pastry. Observing it casually as if she was deciding whether ingesting all those calories was worth, Gregoria actually wondered when had the employees started referring to their bosses by first name. It must be some kind of new protocol.

"Hello Miss..." Greg frowned slightly at the pastry. She really needed to go through those files. The names of the new employees. "Pastry?" She offered the blond and pushed the box in her direction.

"Tea would be nice," she replied to Filipa. Was it Filipa? Rats.

"Thanks, but no thanks," Kaitlin replied as her boss offered her a pastry.
"I'm on a diet," she replied. No one thought she needed to be on a diet except herself and her little brother, who thought everyone needed to be on a diet. Kaitlin looked up at the clock that hung on the wall. It was almost time to get to work.

For one moment, Fiona thought her boss was starting to be more kind. But she was wrong. She was back, like she was, when she started to work here. She remembered it clearly. Mrs. Matos always forgot her name and Fiona had always to do something for her. But she got just to this kind of acting.

Fiona, quickly took a mug and poured in some tea. "Here you go, Mrs. Matos."

"Look, it's almost 8 o'clock. I better go and start working." She quickly make herself another cup of coffee and took it with her.

While, she left the room, she heard her boss and Kaitlin talking.

"Bye Fiona! See you later!" Kaitlin said and waved to her as she left. She then turned back to her boss.
"I'm going too. Bye Mrs. Matos," Kaitlin said, her friendly smile plastered on her lips then left the Lounge to start working.

Tabetha hurried in just coming from a meeting about something or other in a far off country. She had barely listened since she was only there if needed, and afterward decided she needed a break.

She swifty walked in and saw many people taking breaks, just like her. She wondered why she many people could be off at once but didn't bother with the thought since she too was on break and needed it.

Going over to the morning treats she picked herself up a chocolate cookie and began to nibble and leaned back on the counter. She eyed the room, her eyes kind of going beserk, trying to observe every detail she possible could.

She then forgot to smile to the other people and did so.

Lee walked briskly into to the break room for a quick cup of coffee and muffin. He had come into work early today only to find out that the French and German Ministries were at disagreements AGAIN, which of course impacted the British ministry because now we can't get the necessary potion ingredients from them. Just the sort of headache he needed to a beautiful Monday.

He practically inhaled the cup of straight black coffee and muffin, as he wiped his mouth with a napkin. Hardly noticing that all the employees in the break room were females, he brushed his hands together, sighed and said to no one in particular, "Well, back to the mayhem I guess."

Tabetha was nibbling on her cookie ever so slowly and noticed someone new coming into the room. She looked around and noticed he was the only guy she had met, ever, in this place. She shrugged and nibbled her cookie some more.

She had finely nibbled the last crum, every crumb counts, and looked around still. She didn't move or speak. She really wanted some to come up to her and not vise versa, felt more loved that way.

As she looked around at her head talking to people the guy, who she just saw had gotten coffee, had muttered something. She didn't know if it was to her or someone else, or to himself. She asked "Sorry. Did you say something? I didn't catch if you did."

Lee was about to leave the break room and head back to his office, when he heard someone talk to him. He was itching to get back to work, as he was already somewhat behind and it wasn't proper to keep France and Germany (especially France) waiting. He checked his silver watch for the time, and realized he still had 30 minutes before his conference call with the two governments. Besides, it would be good to meet other people in his department, as much as he hated talking to people.

"Uh well, I did, but I wasn't talking to anyone in particular. More just speaking my thoughts." He smiled at the young female who addressed him, "Lee Greenfield, Head of British Seats. And you are?"

Gregoria held the teacup in one hand, the other still busy with the cheese filled pastry resembling a very crude missile still in her hand. Before she could continue the mindless chatter with her employees they were off to work, something she wasn't doing.

"Miss!" She called after them. "It's Miss Matos!" Honestly. Couldn't they see she had stopped wearing her ring years ago? Letting out a heavy sigh, briefly downhearted she bit into the pastry savagely, crumbs falling everywhere. It was only when she was halfway through devouring the pastry did she stop, goodie halfway in her mouth, when she noticed that still two of her employees were with her.

It was terrible that they both happened to be in high positions in the department. And one of them was a male. Oi vey. Swallowing she coughed and took careful sips of her tea, contemplating her next move.

"It is customary in some cultures to eat your food as quickly as possible lest the host think you're insulting their culinary skills."

Pity that there was no host to this little "party" to help solidify her clever excuse.

Tabetha saw him check his watch and she wondered if he was busy and really didn't want to be bothered. He hadn't answered her and so her attention went to Gregoria. She was yelling at the workers about her name being Miss Matos and not Miss.

She nodded at her and raised her cup, which she had just filled with ice tea, and smiled at her Boss, the only person above her.

Suddenly the guy answered back finally and she turned to him. "Tabetha Gilwart" she replied back and then added her job to sound more official and just cooler. "Resident Assistant Head of International Magical Cooperation."

Lee noted out of the corner of his eye his boss was wanting them all to get back to work. He couldn't help but chuckle a bit at her hastiness (and messiness in eating the pastry. Too bad that she's the host, he thought to himself and didn't dare say that out loud.

Turning his attention back to Tabetha, he smiled as she added her title, "Wow. That's quite the mouthful of a title you got there." He chuckled, hoping he didn't sound too stupid.

"Hello Miss Matos! How are are you today?" He asked his boss cheerfully, hiding his anxiousness to get back to France & Germany.

"Busy," replied curtly, Matos popping the remainder of the pastry into her mouth and pointing once at the Head of British Seats with her tea cup as she chewed. It was only after she had swallowed (with the help of a healthy gulp of tea) that she spoke again. "As should be the both of you! I need to hold a meeting with all of you in Affairs room. I want you and those you're in charge of in that room in ten minutes."

Downing the rest of the liquid, scalding her tongue in the process Gregoria pretended rather skillfully like it didn't hurt and set the cup down, giving a fleeting glare before heading out of the Lounge and towards her office to collect some papers.

Lee nodded at Gregoria in understanding, "Yes, I am very busy and I just popped in here for a quick coffee break." he replied as he poured a second a cup of black coffee. "Well, I suppose France and Germany will just have to wait. I will just go grab some notes from my office, and then head down to that Affairs room. See you in a bit."

He quickly gulped down his coffee and dashed out of the lounge towards the British Seats office to gather his notes for the meeting.

Tabetha nooded. Her title was a mouthful to say, and she needed to find a shorter way of saying it. Maybe using the initials, but then she might have to explain. Ugh, so frustrating.

She heard Lee talk to her boss and listened closely to what she had to say. Glad she did too because she now knew she had a meeting soon. She nodded and said to Miss Matos. "Alright then" and started to walk toward the door.

She stopped and turned back to her and stepped aside for lee to leave. Once he was gone, she asked Miss Matos something. "Do you need me to go make sure all the departments know about the meeting or do you have that covered, Miss Matos?"

Ashlay wlaked into the break room to see everybody leaving or already gone. She walked over to the coffee machine, got herself a cup and stood, leaning against the wall, almost ready to resume the mayhem that awaited her outside of this cozy little room.

A nice gulp of warm tea sliding down her throat was all Noelle could think of as she slipped through the door of the break room. Anything to soothe her sore throat, and she would be thankful. Making a beeline for the counter, she tried to ignore the pain in her feet, all thanks to the heels she'd saved up for for weeks and now regretted she'd bought at all. After pouring herself some tea and adding a spoonful of honey, she cupped the mug in her hands and turned from the counter. She took a grateful sip of her beverage and looked around at the others over the brim of her mug. No one she recognized from her division. Still, she smiled courteously at those closest to her before settling at one of the tables to rest her aching feet. It was probably going to be the only time for a break all day, and she was going to take as much advantage of it as she could.

Taking a break from all the paper work Persephone meandered into the "break room." Noticing that the last few cheese pastries were getting stale she quickly replaced them with fresh ones. "Need black tea..." she said as she held back a yawn and reached over to the coffee machine,"but coffee is good too." Setting down the cup she reached across the room and grabbed a few napkins to clean up a stray bit of liquid. "Tomorrow I'll bring in a box of tea," began Persephone," but now back to work." With that she picked up her coffee, grabbed her pastry, and set off to work again.

A rather droopy eyed Persephone entered the break room and put on a pot of coffee. While waiting for the incredibly slow coffee maker to work, she pulled a black ribbon from her pocket and tied back her hair. "Ah, my handy little bottomless thermos. Fill with the nectar of life!" Persephone joked as she poured the steaming aromatic substance into her thermos. Relaxing for a moment before digging her heels into the new trading issue she began to nod off, only to be awakened by a broom collapsing in the corner. " I guess it's off to solve the puzzle....where are caffeine pills when you need 'em?" she remarked as she made her way back to her desk.
