The Slytherin Dungeon, also known as Slytherin Common Room, is located behind a wall in the cellars of Hogwarts. To get into the common room you must first know the password to the room (it changes every fortnight) and then you must know which wall to whisper this password to.
If you don't know either, then you'll just be left standing there, literally talking to a wall. If you're not a lost Slytherin then I wouldn't bother trying to talk to the walls around here; they're quite damp from the humidity of the lake above and sometimes they make noises....
You can hang around the hidden entrance to the common room here (especially if you're waiting on a friend) but be careful... snake pits aren't pleasant places for outsiders.

There were two things he disliked about Hogwarts.
1. That the dungeons were SO far away from his own common room, and,
2. That even though he could speak parseltongue (obviously), he still hadn't managed to force his way into the Slytherin common room.
What better password could there be than one for the heir or was it heirS of Slytherin? ...
Nevertheless, Zeke dropped his bag to the floor and leant against the wall opposite the one that would grant people access to the common room beyond. Hady was in there, maybe, probably, or he'd have thought she was at least.
He tapped his feet waiting, but in the end he let himself sink against the wall and flopped to the floor, his knees bent. HERE, he waited. Waited for SOMEONE, ANYONE to come out or go in so he could interrogate them on his friend's whereabouts.

It was early. Well not all that early but early enough..and having not slept well the night before didn't help matters at all. So it was somewhat sluggishly that Hady had gotten up out of bed this morning and went about her usual routine of getting ready.
Slinging her bag over her shoulder in her typical Hady fashion the now third year slipped out the door of the common room as she tied a ribbon onto the bottom of a small braid in her hair. Barely had she taken one step from the doorway before her eyes landed on a certain someone sitting on the floor across from the common room door. Well hello there Lion.
Instantly her small grumpy tired look was replaced with a grin. Geez how fast her attitude could change when he was around. "Zeke! What're you doing down here?" She asked walking over to stand in front of him holding a hand out to help him up. Cause really that floor was cold!

It was hard to keep track of the minutes that passed, especially when he was lost in a daze. It was strange being back here, now that he thought about it. Early mornings hadn't been a thing for so long that he expected it would near kill him. He couldn't be more wrong. He was wide awake, not even the slightest desire to yawn, and his alertness only increased when the entrance to the common room opened and out stepped Hady.
Hady!
"Hey," he greeted with a lazy grin as he pulled himself up and dusted off his backside. The floor could have done with a cushioning charm or two.
"I was waiting for you..." cause, yeah, "breakfast? I'm starving." In fact, had he been smarter he could have piled up a couple of plates and brought it down here. Or maybe not.

That grin. That lazy, carefree grin. There was just noway she could remain grumpy when she spotted the grin on his face. Nope. Not at all. It just wasn't possible.
Oh? And there was his answer. He had been...waiting on her? Why though? Surely he could've just went to breakfast and met up with her there. It would've saved him the walk, time and well yeah but anyhow aww!
Hady smiled lightly giving a nod of her head. "Yeah, breakfast sounds good." Yup play it cool small snakette. No need to show just how happy you are that he came down to the cold dungeons and waited for you. Nope no reason.

Smiling, nodding and stating that breakfast was good... this was exactly what he wanted to be greeted with. "Great, let's go," he mused, slinging a bag strap over a shoulder before taking to Hady's side. The quicker they were, the more pancakes he could have, and he was itching for pancakes. Or toast. Maybe toast, with lashings of marmalade. Or all of the above, really, he could never be fussy with food.
"What do you think of your timetable this year?" he asked idly as he waited for her to take the lead down the corridor and up the stairs. Had she dropped any subjects? He was still contemplating lightening his load - even if Emily didn't think it was necessary or worthwhile.

Clearly her lion friend was hungry. He had wasted no time at all moving along which was all fine and dandy with her. Maybe some food was what she needed. Not eating much at the feast on top of not sleeping all that great lately wasn't to good a combo for her. So with a hand holding the strap of her bag in place on her shoulder and her other swinging lightly at her side Hady lead the way from the dungeons and upstairs.
"It's not so bad I guess. Hopefully I don't overdo it but then again it just wouldn't be me if I didn't. I need to speak to Healer Murdoch one of these days I need to ask her something." The sooner the better with that too since she hadn't had time at the end of last term. "How about you?"

Following in step with his Lady Snake, Zeke settled his hands in his pockets an index finger instinctively scratching at the fold where the lint liked to gather.
All this overdoing things stuff sounded awful, but she was right, it wouldn't be her if she didn't overdo things... perfectionist, self teaching, studious person that she was. As she continued though, he stopped mid-step, falling slightly behind her.
Healer?
Scary-creepy-angry looking Healer? THAT Healer? He supposed though that Hady might know the woman better, owing to the fact that she was the Slytherin Head of House. Still.. he didn't much like the woman, didn't strike him as the friendly type.
"Do me a favour?" he started as he started walking again, "Don't die or get sick or anything? Okay?" He wouldn't allow it, he COULDN'T allow it. He'd do her homework for her and silence her from protesting if he had to.
As for him? "It's okay, I'm still not convinced I should be taking history, and I'm not sure I'll need divination either... but I do well enough at that so apparently I shouldn't drop it." History though he was god awful at, there was NO point in keeping it, but he was advised to give it another chance. Just one more. Of course, it wasn't the only subject he wanted to drop, Ancient Runes too posed problems for him, and as much as he loved Astronomy, he wasn't sure if he'd need it in the grand scheme of things. Life was officially complicated.

As she spoke she realized instantly he had stopped. Why had he stopped? What was wrong? Turning around slightly she eyed him curiously raising an eyebrow in question until he began to walk once more.
A favor though? "Erm sure?" Hady started not sure what type of favor he wanted and then he continued and she nearly laughed. Sick? Die? Why would he even think that? It took her a second before she realized what had happened.
Looking at Zeke she couldn't help but laugh. Aww she'd made him worried! "I'm not going to see her because I'm sick or anything Zeke. It's about something completely unrelated, no worries. And if I ever do get sick, you'd be the first to know." She told him honestly giving him a warm comforting smile.
Instantly he had her attention when he began to speak of classes he should drop. Was something going on she didn't know about? Did he have a hard time with those classes? "You know if you uh ever need someone to work with on assignments I'm always around, okay?" Yup she tossed out an offer to be of some assistance. Not help! Cause her buddy didn't need 'help' just simply a friend who could work on assignments with him if he wanted.

At least she wasn't reluctant in granting him the favour, but he was skeptical, girls had way of twisting truths so even if they weren't lying per se, they were good at hiding things, and he didn't doubt for a second that Hady could hide stress and unwell-ness if she wanted to.
What WAS reassuring to hear, was that she wasn't seeing the Healer for her health reasons, this was good... though it did leave many more questions piling up in his head. "Good, good... but if anything does ever get to you or you need y'know... help or looking after or whatever, I'm pretty good at running errands, and I'm happy to help." He could be down-right useful when he wanted to be, and if it meant she wouldn't make herself sick with classes and taking on too much then he'd be there.
BUUUUT... moment of awkwardness aside, now she was offering to help with his class stuffs? "Thanks, and I might take you up on that for History if you don't mind?" But as for everything else, he'd take it as it came. Worst case scenario was that he'd be making his timetable more manageable by dropping some things. It would help if he knew what he would need for.. life.

Being whom she was and being raised by whom was her adoptive parents she very easily could've lied to him about it all. Hiding stress, panic, fear and anything else came easily to her...if it was what she choose to do. Most of the time she did but around him she didn't need to. With him Hady was just simply Hady and anything was okay.
They were more alike then she thought which each passing day. A boy offering to help her with whatever she needed. That was really cool. It was different but that nice sorta different that just made a young girl wanna smile. So with a light smile she stopped walking putting her arm out in front of him so he'd stop too and then turned to face him. "I suppose I can agree to that...but" Now this of course was where she had to be a little Slytherin. "Only if you agree to the same thing." Mhmm Zeke. If help was ever needed for anything she was there.
History? Yeah she could help with that. "Sure. You know where to find me...well usually anyway." She grinned slightly turning around once more and continuing towards FOOD!

His proposition was a good one, and a fair one - because really, what else were friends for? But when Hady's arm flew out in front of him he was slightly taken aback.
Did he say something wrong?
...
He was going to make the assumption that since she was smiling, he wasn't in trouble. Dodged a bullet there.
What amused him, was that she was using his proposition against him. He could live with that. "It's a deal," he nodded, a toothy grin spreading. "Now come on, my tummy's rumbling," he added, slinging his free arm around her shoulder and pulled her with him toward the stairs.
And he DID know where to find her, and even if she wasn't in any of her usual places, he was confident he'd be able to seek her out. "I'll always find you," he teased.

She shifted on the spot eying him closely for the few short brief seconds it took him to reply to her proposition. Thankfully he agreed very easily with what she wanted. "Deal then." She agreed grinning at him.
With his arm around her shoulder it was an easy not thought needed response for her to slide and arm around his waist as they walked. It wasn't for no other reason then it was normal for them both.
Hady laughed lightly bumping his side. "I'm sure you will since you're a lion." And everyone knew lions hunted their prey. Not that she was prey but yeah it worked.

They made deals easily, in fact, most everything was easy with Hady. And it was for this reason that he didn't understand why some people had so much drama in their life regarding their friendships. Friendships were SOOOOOO easy.
He was comfortable walking, and suddenly it was much warmer now too. Partly because he had Hady's body warmth, but also in part because they were slowly ascending and leaving the dull dungeons behind.
But wait, what?
"I am," he acknowledged, the whole Lion thing he couldn't deny. "But what does that have to do with it?"... He could hazard a guess, but he didn't trust himself to not get hit.
Surely Slytherins are used to the dank dark dungeons by now but they might not be expecting the cobwebs covering the wall outside their common room entrance. Looks like the house elves have been slacking on dusting duties. Tsk. Tsk.
Leaving the common room and still feeling like a lump of Merlin have mercy, Cutty tucked a copy of the latest Daily Prophet issue beneath his arm. He checked his person for his wand, an empty phial, a filled phial, a rune and exact change before heading toward the hospital wing. His slid his hand, warm from the fever, across the cool surface of the bare dungeon walls but retracted it immediately.
"Ugh!" He said in disgust. Where were the house elves? Had they permanently scared them off? Still, fear was no excuse to slack so on one's duties. He pulled out his wand with his free hand and ridded the other with the recently accumulated filth. Then headed up toward the Hospital Wing.

Healer Murdoch had just left her office when she noticed a rat scampering down the corridor. Knowing that Rumple hadn't been fed in over a week now, she quickly released her wand and stunned the rodent. He wasn't someone's pet was he? Eh, too bad if he was, he was going to make a nice meal for the snake.
With the rat in hand, she headed to the Slytherin Common Room. Just as she neared the entrance she spotted Cutty. Perfect! "Mr. Mordaunt. Just the person I was looking for." Actually any Slytherin student she found would have been just the person she was looking for. "It's feeding time," she said as she held the rat out in front of her.

He hadn't gotten far on the journey to the Hospital Wing, however when he spotted Healer Murdoch...
Holding a rat...
That might have belonged to Caleb Newell.
Briefly, he thought he was hallucinating. If he had been alive and a muggle living a century ago in the 1980's he would've sworn he'd seen this in an Ozzy Osborne video. Still, even without a reference when he realized that indeed that was Healer Murdoch holding a rat as if she'd caught dinner it conjured a certain amount of appreciation. As if the boy had stumbled upon a fine art piece. Cece could fight and feed herself!
She was perfect.
"Aren't yer goin' ter cook it first?" He wouldn't be eating it otherwise. Actually, he didn't feel like eating at all. His head was pounding and that warmth of the fever was changing his complexion a pinkish shade. He leaned against the wall for support, quite forgetting or perhaps not caring how dirty it was.
Super Slytherin Buddy - ⅓ She-Snake Trio || EVIL Healer
Why was the boy looking at her like that? It was like he was seeing her for the first time or something. He did remember that she was his head of house right?
Slytherin say what?
"Why would I want to cook it?" She asked waving the rat in front of his face. "That would take away all the fun." The fun of watching him be eaten that is. Not to mention, she was pretty sure Rumple wouldn't want anything to do with it if it was already dead.
Seriously, what was with Cutty today? Was he really acting like a squemish girl about to hurl her breakfast at the sight of a stunned rat? "What's wrong with you? You look like you're about to pass out." Maybe she should just find herself another student to help her feed the snake.
And for the love of Merlin, get off that FILTHY wall boy! Maybe she should be feeding the house elves to the snake since they weren't doing their job of keeping the place clean.

The thoughts in his mind whirred about until the consensus that Healer Murdoch was going to eat the rat raw was reached. Though instead of disgusting him it seemed to add to her survivalist charm. Cutty didn't question this. Even on a good day he was opinionated but not exactly judgmental. Content to let (and in some cases encourage) the pieces on the board move as they will and then simply exploiting the natural formation.
The impressed smile, however was replaced as the delicate hand of his Head of House drew the rat closer to his face where it dangled from the momentum. "Ugh! Healer, put that thing away before I lose me sticky toffee pudding and make the doongeon dehrtier." He moaned.
"Nothin'." But the words came out a bit too quickly thus giving them an air of utter discredibility. "Maybe I'm joost stunned by yer exceptional beauty."

Healer Murdoch lowered the rat when Cutty mentioned losing his pudding. Healer or not, she did not want anyone losing anything on her. "There will be no losing of anything Mr. Mordaunt." Except maybe the filth on those dungeon walls once she got done with the house elves.
Not wanting to get rid of the rat, because she still had plans of feeding it to the snake, she put it behind her back so it was out of Cutty's sight. "You really think I'm going to believe there's nothing wrong with you?" She asked as she placed her empty hand on his forehead. "You're burning up!" Which would most likely explain the delirious state he was in. "We need to get you to the infirmary."

Could he walk or did he need her to help him?
Cutty remained leaning against the wall when the Healer's hand went up to feel his forehead, in passive non-resistance. It wouldn't be as if Healer Murdoch hadn't ever caught him in a lie before. It was just what Cutty Mordaunts did best. Besides, trying to fight her on it would've been a standard exercise in how to waste time with futile arrangements, and perhaps a couple of lulz as well.
The fever was proving useful again, Cutty realized as his Head of House was prepared to look after him. He couldn't muster a smile, but inside he was pleased. He did not like the idea of not being able to help himself but if in exchange it meant that someone else would he could make peace with that arrangement. Especially if that someone was the tougher than duro Healer Murdoch.
Cutty stood and peeeeled, albeit a bit too literally from the wall and immediately realized that he hadn't meant to lean against it. Carefully, he removed his aspen wand and fired off an unintentionally weak, "Tergeo." on the back of his clothing. He owed it to his familiarity with that spell that it worked. He'd follow her up toward the Hospital Wing.

Maggie was trying to get into her common room.
TRYING to, yes.
The thing was that there was someone in the way. A house elf. Hitting themselves with a spatula. So Maggie just waited for a moment, waiting for it to finish. Apparently it wouldn't, though. So eventually she cleared her throat. Loudly.
Quirley sees Mistress. Mistress wants in Slytherin common room. Quirley squeaks and moves aside for Mistress. "Quirley is sorry. Is there anything Mistress needs?" Quirley can bring food or anything else for mistress, yes she can.
