Vaults 000-100

Vaults 000-100 are low level security vaults. They are small and perfect for people who often find themselves withdrawing their money. It only takes about fifteen minutes by Goblin cart, to reach these vaults, situated a few miles underground. They are single vaults, small rooms ideal for individuals rather than for families. They are about the size of a medium-sized walk in wardrobe, with shelves lining the interior and a step ladder to help you reach higher shelves.

If you have one of these vaults you will have a small bronze key with which to unlock it and you can only reach it in the company of a Gringotts Goblin.

SPOILER!!: vaults 000-100

Vaults 101-200

Vaults 101-200 are low level security vaults. They are medium-sized and perfect for those who need to withdraw their money often. It only takes about twenty minutes by Goblin cart, to reach these vaults, situated a few miles underground. They are double vaults, small rooms ideal for families or for businesses. They are about the size of a large-sized walk in wardrobe, with shelves lining the interior and a step ladder to help you reach higher shelves.

If you have one of these vaults you will have a small copper key with which to unlock it and you can only reach it in the company of a Gringotts Goblin.

SPOILER!!: vaults 101-200

Vaults 201-300

Vaults 201-300 are low-medium level security vaults. They are small and perfect for people who only access their valuables every now and then. It only takes about thirty minutes by Goblin cart, to reach these vaults, situated a several miles underground. They are single vaults, small rooms ideal for individuals rather than for families. They are about the size of a medium-sized walk in wardrobe, with shelves lining the interior and a step ladder to help you reach higher shelves.

If you have one of these vaults you will have a small gold key with which to unlock it and you can only reach it in the company of a Gringotts Goblin. There are several charms and curses in place as added protection of the vaults on this level

SPOILER!!: vaults 201-300

Vaults 301-400

Vaults 301-400 are low-medium level security vaults. They are medium sized and many of the vaults on this level are held by small business. It takes about 45 minutes by Goblin cart, to reach these vaults, situated a several miles underground. They are about the size of a medium-sized walk in wardrobe, with shelves lining the interior and a step ladder to help you reach higher shelves.

If you have one of these vaults you will have a small brass key with which to unlock it and you can only reach it in the company of a Gringotts Goblin. There are several charms and curses in place as added protection of the vaults on this level.

SPOILER!!: vaults 301-400

Vaults 401-500

Vaults 401-500 are medium level security vaults. They are large sized and many of the vaults on this level are have been in the possession of families for generations. Many purebloods have vaults on this level. It takes a little over an hour by Goblin cart, to reach these vaults, situated several miles underground. They are fairly large, with shelves lining the interior and a step ladder to help you reach higher shelves.

If you have one of these vaults you will have a small iron key with which to unlock it and you can only reach it in the company of a Gringotts Goblin. There are several charms and curses in place as added protection of the vaults on this level.

The cart thing was the worst part of the banking experience for most people. Those whose stomachs were made of weaker things sometimes couldn't handle it. As it was, TJ just... wasn't a fan of the curves. As a kid, he'd imagined just flying right out of the cart and into the wall and dying a horrible painful death...

He'd been a slight, very easy-to-toss child.

Still, he was much older (and much heavier) now. He couldn't help but grip onto the edge of the cart however, minding his fingers so they wouldn't end up bashing off something and disappearing.

Even though the cart was quick and Sturnik was silent, the ride was not particularly fast as far as getting to their destination went. It was a good hour of stomach churning, neck breaking speed before the cart dropped again even lower, whizzing past the four hundred level vaults and narrowly avoiding turning off at a sign marked 'Here be Dragons', though the line above was apparently written in Gobbledegook and was far more noticeable in the split second the sign was visible.

Sturnik appeared to be connected to the cart, he didn't sway around, or bump the sides or even grip on the same way most passengers needed to.

Also, he had a bit of a seatbelt on.

They dropped to the 500 level.

By the time the cart ride was over, Loreali felt incredibly dizzy. Those carts were a LOT faster than she thought they would be. No wonder the goblins said to keep your hands and head in the cart. The banks back at home weren't nearly as large as this one and they certainly didn't have to travel by cart to get to their vaults. In fact her family's vault was one of ten vaults in the bank they went to since their funds were so large. There were actually many banks in her town since they were sorted by the amount of money the family had. She wanted to straighten out her hair but there really wasn't a point right now.

Loreali nearly stumbled coming out of the cart. Her legs were apparently not used to a cart going at high speeds but whose were really? "I'll only be a minute." Nodding to the goblin, she walked into the vault and looked around. The size was perfect and now when her parents felt like giving her money, she had somewhere to put it. She deposited what she had with her except for about 20 galleons and walked out of the vault. "Alright it's done. Now let's get out of here." She was a bit sketched out at having her vault underground like this but it wasn't like anyone was going to try to steal from her. It wasn't like she had too much money in that vault anyway.

As soon as the witch stepped aside from the vault, it closed and sealed itself shut. Anyone caught within wouldn't have a chance in hades of surviving more than a few hours.

Also, fingers being jammed in the door wouldn't be much fun either.

Sturnik returned to the cart and waited for the witch to get in.

Loreali followed the goblin and took a seat in the cart. She glanced over and saw the door seal itself shut and shuddered at the thought of getting stuck in there by accident. Looking at the goblin, she wondered if someone had actually ever accidentally got stuck in there. "Um has anyone...ever been sealed shut in the vaults by accident?"

"Not by accident, by stupidity. If they didn't listen and put their fingers where they shouldn't." The Goblin sounded almost cheerful.

That was the last he said for a while, the cart zoomed again, winding back up to the bottom of the corridor where they had first climbed aboard. It came to a halt.

He let the witch out of the cart and led her up the corridor, out of the depths and into the main hall once more.

"Come again." The Goblin attempted politeness.

So Lexi was going to be able to get her wand back now? For some reason, she'd been under the impression that Quazi was going to keep the wand until she arrived back in the main hall. Lexi smiled and accepted her wand from Quazi.

"Thanks, Quazi. I trust you," she said.

...and she did. Quazi had to be the nicest goblin she'd ever met. Knowing this, she settled comfortably in the cart and checked to make sure her arms and legs weren't dangling out. She'd like to keep those, thank you very much.

...and, they were off. Lexi held on tight as the cart made its way to...wherever it was that it was headed. Her vault, yes, but since she'd never been there before, she had no idea where they were actually headed. When the cart reached the first level of vaults, Lexi glanced up at Quazi, wondering if it was alright to get out the cart now. "Well, that wasn't so bad...," she remarked. It was actually...fun.

Egypt gripped the sides of the cart as it started moving. It was slow going but she knew that wouldn't last. It was going to pick up speed and then they were going to be hurtling through the depths. The boys squealed in delight and it was going to make Egypt lose her breakfast. She forced herself to take some deep breaths.

Quazi had to smile as she heard that Miss Carlton did trust her. Goblins had always gotten a bad reputation due to their business handlings, but she herself was not like most other goblins.

Sitting quietly, Quazi glanced around as the cart came to a stop after roughly thirty minutes. The trips were getting a bit faster to her, perhaps it was due to the fact she knew which dips and turns were going up and when to expect them. Her only thrill was seeing the dragon, but Bunny was still some distance down in the deeper vaults. She would have to pay a visit later. Waiting for the cart to stop completely, Quazi jumped out. "Rather a nice ride actually," she smiled. "No big surprises at all. Now, here we are vault number 300." she added as she made her way to the vault door. Usually she would need the key, but being that it was the first time the vault was being opened, Quazi would be about to do so without. Lifting her finger, she glided her long nail over the door in a pattern. The sound of clicks could be faintly heard as the door creaked open slowly. "From now on, we must use the key." Stepping aside, Quazi allows Miss Carlton to look inside her new vault and do as she pleased.

Hearing the delight of the boys, Quazi smiled. Oh little children were so adorable. Why did all her associates seem to dislike them so? Leaning back a bit, she closed her eyes. The journey had just begun and they still had some time before they would even reach the depths of the vaults. Perhaps they would even run into Bunny before they reached the next level of vaults.

Quickly, they began to pick up more speed as they zoomed past the 100's and then the 200's. Turning and dipping the 300's were nothing but a slight blur and so on.

It was strange to think that one could actually drive the cart, but maybe that was something she could look into. It would probably make the rides a bit more interesting.

Quazi nodded and laughed softly. She did like it so when witches and wizards listened to her words. It did make things easy as she didn't have to keep repeating herself. Quazi nodded and hopped into the cart.

Soon the cart was sooming back toward the surface through the mazes of corridors. A slight breeze blow down on them as they reached the very same stop where they first boarded the cart.

Allowing Miss Carlton out first, Quazi followed and motioned toward the stairs to the main hall. Leaing the way up toward the surface again, Quazi bowed her head slightly and smiled. "It was a pleasure to have your business, Miss Carlton. Please come again."

Within second the cart began its journey as it slowly moved down the track. Quickly it began to pick up some speed and soon was zooming down the dimly lit track toward the first level of vaults.

As they had kept walking down the corridor, Alice had started to wonder how men managed. At least, she was thinking on those lines, as most men she knew were somewhat larger than herself, even in heels quite often, and she was having to duck a little right now. So she couldn't see how tall people managed to get wherever they were going without feeling really cramped. She was starting to see why Gringotts was staffed by goblins, though. Smaller was better, and she was just thankful she wasn't claustrophobic. Maybe it was the dim lighting.

She nodded as Quazi turned to her, announcing they were almost to their destination. Perhaps things got wider when they got there. Or taller, at least. Taking a breath as they came to a stop, she ignored the slightly musty, cave smell as her blue eyes went to the goblin again. "Thank you," she said with a smile as she listened to the rules. Hands and feet inside the cart at all times. It was like a Muggle roller coaster, and she hadn't been on one of those in a while. Probably more recently than some who came here, but to her it had been a while. Stepping carefully into the cart, she took a seat and made sure she had a good grasp of her purse before watching as Quazi joined her. "Is it very long of a ride?," she asked conversationally, before laughing a little as the cart started moving. Speeding up. It was exactly like a roller coaster. "Apparently not," she said, answering her own question. And then she squinted as she tried to watch the walls zooming past, trying to see if they were just cave walls or if they were going past vaults yet. Now she just had to wait until they got to her new vault.

Well, Sienna still preferred the Main Hall over this. But the cart ride was sort of fun. She, of course, was not going to let any of her arms being scratched somehow by waving them out of the cart, so, she followed Quazi's rules. Which weren't that hard, by the way.

Daphne thought her heart was going to beat out of her chest, so she so eager for this cart ride. It was as if she were a child again.

She hopped in the cart and tucked her limbs inside. The cart was much smaller than she remembered, but that made the journey more exciting. She gripped a handle inside the cart as the vehicle started zooming down to the vaults.

Allowing the professor to enter the cart first, Quazi took her seat after and settled in. Just after making a final check to see that all limbs were in fact in the cart, the cart began to move slowly down the track into the darkness that would lead them to first level of vaults.

Preston received his wand back with gratitude. "Thank you," he said with a nod as he tucked his wand back into his cloak.

Easing himself into the cart, he took a steadying breath. The ride was atrocious, but he supposed necessary. All in the name of security...

Though, he secretly thought the goblins enjoyed the queasy wizards.

"Is it very long of a ride?," she asked conversationally, before laughing a little as the cart started moving. Speeding up. It was exactly like a roller coaster. "Apparently not," she said, answering her own question. And then she squinted as she tried to watch the walls zooming past, trying to see if they were just cave walls or if they were going past vaults yet. Now she just had to wait until they got to her new vault.

Sliding low in the cart, Quazi whistled to herself. "The ride is....well, you will see." she replied. Okay, two hours was not short but sometimes time did have a tendency to fly and all.

Whistling again, Quazi stared forward as her eyes began to adjust to the darkness. The cart was rapidly moving down the track and soon entered a series of narrow corridors. The air was a bit musty and that was sign that they were moving a bit deeper into the vaults. It wouldn't be all that long before they would reach their destination.

Darkness.....and then the cart dropped slightly and a faint rawr was heard in the distance. Bunny was on the move again it seemed, which meant they did need to hurry it up a bit. A hungry dragon was not something that Quazi wanted to encounter today. Willing the cart to move a bit faster, the cart soon crested a hill and dived down toward the next level of vaults.

Yes, it wouldn't be long before they would pass the 500's and then enter the next level of vaults.

Quazi hid her amusement as she settled into the cart and looked forward. For some reason this wizard amused her so.

Silently, Quazi sat as the cart continued on its way. Passing the 100's and then the 200's.

Picking up speed, the 300's and then the 400's zoomed by as the cart dropped and proceeded toward the 500's.

Daphne carefully stepped out of the cart. She was still a little wobbly from the trip down, but the goblin was unfazed. "That's quite a ride" she remarked to the goblin. After Quazi inserted the key, lines in the vault door began to glow and move, like cogs in a muggle machine. Then the door opened inward, revealing a small closet, lined with shelves.

She stepped into the room and opened her small purse. She first pulled out a plain sack with the number '50' scrawled on the front. This was her total savings, she had to cut back on her clothes spending. Then she took out several small boxes and placed them on the opposite wall. These were her valuable jewelry which she only needed for very fancy and special events.

After finishing, she turned back to Quazi. "Now, I believe I owe you a fee for the vault, is that right?" she asked, opening up her sack of galleons. She hated to part with her meager savings, but she needed her own vault, especially now that she had a steady job at the Daily Prophet.

Quazi bounced on the ball of her heals as she whistled to herself. The vaults were a bit quiet for that time of day and Quazi couldn't help but look about. It was about feeding time and she hope that they would make it back up to the surface before that.

Looking up, Quazi noticed Miss Jones. "Fee, oh yes. It will be just five Galleons, Miss Jones." Quazi nodded as she held out her hand for the fee. It was but a small amount really.

The cart quickly picked up speed and rolled down the track. The first hundred vaults flew by in a blur as they zoomed toward the next cluster of vaults. Soon the 200's were nothing but a series of lights and then the 300's came into view. During the journey, the cart dropped and turned as it navigated its way through the series of caves and corridors. The slight smell of moisture in the air only signaled that they were approaching the level of the 400's. The trip was reaching about an hour in time now as the cart coasted pass the vaults and headed deeper in to the vaults toward the 500's.

On one of her travels, Hunter had the pleasure of attending a Muggle amusement park. She'd tried out one of those 'rolling coaster' things, and then immediately thrown up as soon as her feet were on solid ground. Tragic, yet funny, because Hunter had played some Quidditch in school and enjoyed flying. But she didn't enjoy the rolling coaster.

This was a lot like that ride, and while Hunter was tempted to throw up her hands and scream... she was very mature and restrained. Grown up witches don't throw their hands up in the air and scream on the Gringott's cart. When it stopped, however, Hunter had to pry her white-knuckled fingers from the bar.
