OOC: Each duel must be completed by no later than November 20, midnight GMT-6 (OOC). Remember that a duel ends when one dueler has lost ALL magic or ALL health points. Please make duels a minimum of 3 posts each.

Remember: duelers MUST keep track of their own points as they go. At the top of their post (in the tag line) they must include their current standing of points, as they are at the BEGINNING of that post. At the bottom of their post, they must include a 'spoiler' tag, including the spells which they've cast (and the directionallity of the spell, so the opponent can easily reference the potential damage to themselves), the spell(s) that have affected them (if any) and their own final Point Standing for that post.

Second duel is up!! And now she had to face a Slytherin guy named Romalotti. And since they both were winners on the last duel, Ava wouldn't go easy on him.
Putting on her dueling uniform, the young lioness entered the ring. Oooooooh Merlin, she's nervous. But she was sure that she could do it like when she against Davie... As Professor Dakest asked them to bow, she bowed to her duel opponent. No hard feelings, okay?
And to start the attack, she cast the stickfast hex to the Slytherin's shoes. "Colloshoo!!!"

WHO IN THE NAME OF MERLIN'S SOGGY LEFT SOCK WAS AVA BURTON?!
Okay, so he knew OF her and had SEEN her around but he didn't KNOW know her, you know? Didn't know her weaknesses or what made her tick. Couldn't use ANYTHING against her, which was IMPORTANT for this. There was a duel going on, after all, and it wasn't against a friend this time. Thank you, Dakest! You rock.
So, when it was time, Phillip entered the ring as well and looked the girl up and down. Just seeing what the competition's like. Gryffindor, she was. And his experience with Gryffindors HADN'T been a good one. Something told him that, even if she was small, she could easily throw her wand away and punch him in the face.
And.............. bow!
There. Respect and all that--
OOMPH!
Phillip had hardly managed to get up to his full height when the girl HAD HIT HIM WITH A SPELL. A spell targeted at his LEGS. MERLIN. She was FAST. He shot her a CONFUSED look before looking down at his legs. The force of the spell would have had him stumble backwards but........ something....... wasn't right. His legs weren't....... moving? Uh. Was this right?
And then it dawned on him.
"YOU SUPERGLUED MY LEGS TO THE FLOOR?!?!?!"
Okay, that was a cool spell but STILL.
Fine. FINE. If she was going to target HIS legs, he was going to target HERS. "Tarantallegra!"

................
Merlin's beard. This boy was LOUD, you know? and... Hyper. Well, mostly firsties were hyper, including herself. But he's more hyper though.... nobody could be more hyper than Charlotte Kettleburn. "Yes, I did. Surprising enough, Romalotti?"
The young lioness was glad that she was quick enough to attack him first. There's a smirk appeared from her face when she successfully cast the stickfast hex (or the superglue charm, according to him). And... He did miss something which make her smirk even more. But that didn't make her losing focus. When she realized that the Slytherin boy attack her, Ava rolled herself to the side. Almost.... Phew... And now it's time to counter attack! First, she cast the ear to kumquat to his ears and then.. "EXPELLIARMUS!!!" She aimed the disarming charm right to Phillip's wand arm. Did he know that she's great in disarming charm? Maybe not.
And for the record.. that boy hadn't cast the finite spell for his legs, right?

Surprising enough? Surpri......... "MAYBE." What? It was! She had caught him off guard, okay?
Grumbling to himself, Phillip pointed his wand towards his feet and said, "Finite!" LEAVE. GO. LET HIS FEET ROAM FREE. If he had the chance, he would have happily bounced on the spot to test out the legs and see if they were still working the same -- you couldn't be sure with Gryffindors -- but he had a DUEL to win so, he needed to come up with an ATTACK technique.
And speaking of attack........... here was another, uh, TWO.
Oh Merlin.
He belly-flopped DIVED to avoid the first spell. That was that funny ear spell, wasn't it? MERLIN. He should make a note of THAT one as well. "PROTEGO!" he shouted with all his will, sending up a shield and praying to Merlin that her spells would get sent back to HER. Especially Expelliarmus because, let's face it, taking someone's wand away from them in a duel would be something pretty epic to brag about.
But, in case it didn't, the Slytherin pointed his wand towards the Gryffindor and called, "Obscuro!" What was she going to do if she got hit by the spell and had a blindfold around her eyes, eh?
Ehehehe.

OOOOPS!!!
The young lioness quickly dived as her opponent deflected her disarming charm. Merlin, she couldn't underestimate this boy! Well, she didn't... Come on, Burton! Let's show to him who's the real dueler here!
Once she got up, Philip sent her the second attack but thank Merlin she had such a reflex to deflected the spell back. "PROTEGO!!" Woah, she's almost blind due to his attack.
SHE WAS REALLY ON FIRE, NOW!
Seriously dude, never ever underestimate a girl, a Gryffindor, and a Burton. A Gryffindor Burton girl. Yup.
Thinking that deflecting the obscuro wasn't enough, Ava sent another attack to the Slytherin boy. "Rictusempra!!!" Seriously, this stands needed a cheer-up laugh.

WELL. Underestimating the boy was NOT a good thing to do around THIS boy. Strategies. He was FULL of them.
And it turned out that SHE was as well because SHE WAS DODGING ALL OF HIS SPELLS! HOW?! He wasn't BAD at them, was he? ........... Psh. NO. They'd worked against OWEN, and Owen was great at these spells! Had taught him to brush up on his knowledge of the shield charm, after all. See? That was what you called a FRIEND.
But there was NO time to think of that because, will you look at that? His own spell was coming back to HIM.
Letting out a small yelp -- HE DIDN'T WANT TO BE BLINDED, OKAY? -- Phillip bent down right where he was. Just bending and covering his head, in case. Not an epic way to combat or to duel but as long as it saved him from the spell, he didn't care. He just sat there and waited for the spell to pa--
Uh, had she said Rictusempra? Uh oh.
AaaaaaaaaaaaHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! No no, he knew that spell ALL too well. The tickling charm! Owen had used it against him as well and, just like before, he found himself staying bent over but now laughing beyond control. Tears were starting to pour out of his eyes and he even started banging his fists down on the ground because THIS WAS TOO FUNNY. HA! AHA! AHAHAHA!
It was only when his stomach started to hurt and his eyes were starting to sting that he looked up again and pointed his wand over towards the Gryffindor. A laugh or two left his mouth before he FINALLY managed to cast the Jelly Fingers Curse. And WITHOUT laughing in between. Whether it worked or not, he was going to count it as a SUCCESS.

Seemed like they both were really good in avoiding spells. The Slytherin boy successfully avoided the spell again. Damn it! It seemed like most of her attack were so easy to be avoided by him. But then when the Gryffindor heard Phillip was laughing, she crooked a smile. He did really have a nice laugh, AND that means her attack now was successful. However, Ava didn't want to be very excited because if she's excited, she could be DISTRACTED and it's not good to be distracted in a middle of duel.
Okay. Keep focus, Burton!
Phillip attacked her back with jelly-finger curse. Oh noes! Ava tried to avoid it but she's too late for that. The curse hit her right hand.... Which was not really a problem since she's left-handed. HA! It seemed like the laughing made him aimed the spell to the wrong hand.
Now she tried to attack him with the disarming charm again. "Expelliarmus!!" She sent a scarlet bolt to Phillip's wand arm. Hopefully she could successfully disarm him right now.

Just as a heads up, the duel has been extended. You have until midnight (GMT-7) on Sunday November 22, to finish your duels.
If you have any questions or concerns, please ask
------------------------
IMPORTANT:Also, please indicate in an OOC note in your next post whether you would prefer your next duel to be the FINALS (with possible dueling guests) or another round with students. We only have time for one or the other

It would have been interesting to see how the duel progressed. Both students seemed utterly determined on besting the other, which was of course, the point of the duel. However, the time was up, the grandfather clock tolling and the blue shield screen erected between the two duelers.
Sabel moved to where the shield fizzled out into a shower of faint blue light. "Ava Burton. Congratulations. You are the winner." The gold spark went off above her head, announcing it officially.
His smile turned to Romalotti. "Good job. The pair of you."
----------------------
OOC: Thanks so much for dueling! It was an awesome read! Duel is now officially over.
In consideration of feedback and time constraints, we are going to do a final round of duels between students. However if you would like to duel a Professor from the club, please VM or PM me (and I will check with the chosen professor) This will be a 'for fun' challenge duel, if you decide to do so (and should not replace the duel with the student you are paired up with, so please consider your own time constraints/options).
