Comfortable clothing, sure. Bathed before coming down here, weird request considering he thought that was pretty standard stuff but yep, done. All ready for the lesson then.

Toby arrived at the barnyard and stepped inside after reading the sign, immediately spotting the goose and heading right over to her.

"Hi Lala," he said with an actual genuine smile, and sat down right there on the floor (what? it was a long walk down here, and he was tired) beside her, petting her feathers in the way he knew she liked. "Are you teaching us today?"

Still petting Lala, Toby glanced around at the doors, to see if anyone else was getting here yet, then looked around the area in general. Where was Thompson at?

Norah arrived all clean and comfy, a little out of breath after having speed walked all the way from the castle. It was a lot slower than skipping apparently, but she was TRYING not to skip anymore on account of being a teenager and stuff. But STILL, this class was a very big deal because fun stuff AND cute stuff happened all in the same place even if she didn't know the answers to Professor Thompson's questions most of the time. Where was he, anyways? The third year squinted all around but didn't see anything remotely professor-like except for a goose, which wasn't that helpful unless Professor Thompson was a goose just like Professor Quigley was a cat and just hadn't told them yet.

She moved to the front end of the barnyard and leaned against the side after waving cheerfully at Toby and the ickle goose. Okay then, waiting it was. Why'd she have to get CLEAN for this though?

Y'know what? Fifth Year was really starting to shape Zander Adair up. Finally studying outside of classes, going to talk to Professors on his own time, and most importantly finally reading the notice boards. See, he was starting to pick up some good habits. Only took five years to do it, too. Ahem. Anyways, he had bathed. Though it was kind of a weird request... If he had to say so himself. Though, maybe the creatures they were going to deal with had incredibly strong noses or something?

Maybe. A boy could only guess. Everything was a surprise at Hogwarts. Kind of forgot to question things lately. Which, was saying something because Zander Adair questioned EVERYTHING.

Now, uh, where was Professor Thompson? Also, hello goose.

The instructions on the class posting had definitely been odd, but then, it also hadn’t been anything Brooklyn didn’t do regularly anyhow. She couldn’t see why there needed to be an instruction to bathe. Not bathing was just ew. Either way, she had headed out to the barnyard, clean and in her uniform, which was comfortable to her. She didn’t see any reason not to be comfortable in her uniform, although it wasn’t exactly individual. She stood out on her own. She didn’t need to dress the part.

Reading the note posted on the doors, she headed inside, completely ready to greet Professor Thompson as she usually did. Except, Professor Thompson wasn’t there. It meant she wasn’t obligated to greet anyone, although Norah had gotten a glance from her. Acknowledgment, even if she didn’t usually like to remember the Potions final from the term before. She’d made her way to a spot sort of close to the goose and the Hufflepuff petting it, then just stood there waiting. Twisting a lock of red hair around her finger.

You knew something funky was going to go down in class when you were asked to bathe properly. As it so happened, he had bathed SUPER well. Washed behind his ears and everything. Squeaky clean, he was. Dressing comfortably, Zeke made his way across the grounds to where class was being held. Seeing the sign on the door saying to wait inside, Zeke slipped in quietly.

No professor? Or was he a goose? But if he was a goose then surely Toby wouldn't be petting him. Right?

"Hey," he greeted the Hufflepuff, giving him a nod.

"Yo, Goose," he greeted the bird, bending at the waist slightly so he could be at its eye level. Yeah. HIIIII. It had a beak bill thing. Mmmhhhm, he knew things about birds. "Does it bite?" he asked. Curious.

Her eyes.

They were the first thing Cutty Mordaunt noticed when he pushed open the barnyard doors and entered the class. They were perfectly round, even the pupil and dark. Like little beads. Who was she?

Obviously a friend of Toby's.

"I doubt it if it's letting Toby get all friendly with it." He told the little lion (Zeke Rogers). Although, maybe Rogers knew Toby enough to know that he was inclined toward winning exception. Possible the creature wasn't the friendliest, but it wouldn't have surprised Cutty to learn that it hadn't displayed aggression toward Toby. Even he, the djinn that he regarded himself, wouldn't have needlessly harmed the Hufflepuff. "Bring it some food, though. That way it'll know yer it's friend." And bird poop might be fun in class too.

Another Care of Magical Creatures lesson was about to begin! As usual, this put Adi in an even better mood than usual and he made his way down to the Barnyard whistling softly to himself. Wait inside, the sign said. He would do just that!

Adi noted Thompson wasn't there yet but there was a goose. And Tobias was asking if it was going to teach them today. Hehe. The Puffer didn't think it would be such a bad idea. He'd love to hear about a creature's life from the point of view of said creature... providing they spoke english or he spoke their language. "Hi, Tobias! Hey, Goosey!''

Leaving his Housemate to the goose, Adi strode over to Norah whom he stood next to. "How's it going, Norah?" Also, he hadn't forgotten his other classmates gathered there so far. Zander, Brooklyn, Zeke and Cutty all got friendly smiles or waves from him.

Freshly showered and completely clean just like the strange instructions on the notice board had told her to be for today's lesson the small snakette made her way into the barn after reading the note posted on the doors.

Stepping inside Hady moved off to the side choosing to watch everyone else rather then to crowd around a goose. Would whatever they were doing today involve said goose? Oh and where was Professor Thompson? Sweeping her gaze around the area she didn't see him.

Ah well she'd just have to wait and see. Rocking slightly on the balls of her feet and fiddling with the locket around her neck she glanced around while waiting. Hopefully the wait wouldn't be to long.

She was early or at the very least she wasn't late. This pretty much only happened when creatures were involved. They were to wait inside the barn, and AJ could totally do that. She made her way inside and noticed that there weren't too many people there. Maybe she actually was early.

Her boyfriend was there and he got a wave while everybody else got smiles. She was about to go and talk to him when she noticed the goose. "How cute are you?" AJ began to pet the goose. She wondered if he/she was trained and could do stuff like dogs. "Sit." Too bad she didn't have any treats to give to her for being a good goose.

Janelle was clean and comfortable for for Care of Magical Creatures class. She wondered what that was all about. Anyway since this was her favorite class, it had to be all good. Following instructions, Jane went inside of the barn. The first thing she noticed was the goose. Okay. Then she noticed that the Professor wasn't there. Was this becoming a theme with the professors?

Spotting familiar faces, Janelle gave a wave to Adi, Hady, Cutty and Zander. Then she found a spot to wait, all the while wondering what creatures they would work with today.

Now COMC was a class to anticipate like no other. More creatures to learn about and have fun with. Benny didn't even mind that they had to cross the cold grounds to get there since the school was still in the grips of a Scottish winter. Nope...he made his way down to the creature area all bundled up with his knapsack slung over his shoulder all ready to go. Following the simple instructions the fifth year stepped inside the barn whoch at least offered some protection from any elements outside.

There were students already there of course, lead the way by Adi his fellow creatures enthusiast. And AJ, Zander and Zeke who must have all gotten a head start since they usually came from the same direction. Silly Gryffindor Tower sometimes made getting places a long trek. But no professor as of yet so they were free for the moment. "Hey guys," he greeted as he made his way towards his two friends to wait for the lesson to begin.

Comfortable clothing was what this fifth year lived for. Sweatpants and hoodies were her favorites. Not saying that dressing up wasn't fun and all. So any class that she didn't have to wear her uniform was great. She headed down to the barn.

She walked through the doors. No professor. She spotted a few people that she knew and waved at them. She found a spot and stood there waiting for class to start.

Dressing comfortably for class was something that Lux could definitely get behind. It beat the strict dress code that Bellaire enforced any day.

Making her way to the barnyard, she spotted the sign saying to wait inside and proceeded to do so. Ooh, there were quite a few people there already. Everyone got friendly waves but she noticed that Professor Thompson was missing though there was a goose in his place.

...He wasn't the goose, was he? After what happened with Professor Quigley earlier this term she couldn't be too sure. At any rate, she went over to pet the little thing. It was so cute!

Toby had been watching everyone else start to arrive, still absentmindedly petting Lala and keeping an eye out for Professor Thompson. If he wasn't already here then maybe he'd show up with the creatures they were looking at today, and Toby was curious to know what they might be. He look up from the goose again to see that power-lion second year, Zeke nearby.

"Hi," he replied, with a little smile. "I've never known her to bite anyone. She's super nice, loves if you pet her feathers." He gestured as if to say 'go on ahead'. At Cutty's words, Toby looked up and nodded to him too, still with that faint smile on his lips. It still felt good to be acknowledged by the Slytherin. Adi got a little wave too. "Her name is Lala. She's Thompson's." Well... that was probably obvious. But he meant, like... pet, rather than another animal that lived in here.

And it was also good to clarify that Thompson was not the goose. After, like... Quigley stuff earlier in the term. Toby could sort of sense the uncertainty from a few kids in here. Understandable.

Another Care of Magical creatures lesson, wondered what they were going to learn today? As he made his way down to the lesson he saw the sign and he had to wait inside the barn doors. As he went through the barn doors he noticed others were inside. He nodded at them all. He gave a friendly wave to Lux and he walked over to Cinna and sat down next to her. He wondered where Emmy was. Surely she wouldn't miss this lesson.

He saw Lala the professor's goose and he went over to go pet her. He cooed at her and asked, "Surely you know where Professor Thompson is.." he smirked and then he gave her a little piece of bread from the dining hall he managed to have in his pocket. She seemed to like it. He smiled once she ate it and sat down next to Cinna again and made some small talk. "How you doing Cinna?" he asked.

Freshly showered and wearing the most comfortable outfit she owned Blair awaited the beginning of the lesson. She thought she was going to early but it appeared a few of her fellow students were also prompt. Looking around at the unfamiliar faces she gave a small smile.

Her eyes fell upon the goose, she slowly edged away. Blair was scared, well she wouldn't admit that to herself or anyone. Something about the goose made her nervous.

Lala the goose did take her owner's request serious. Professor Thompson and her had been through lots over the years so this was okay. Besides.. Seeing all of his students gave her opportunity for pets. A lot of petting yes. When her frequent Hufflepuff student visitor sat by to pet her, she happily accepted the other's company that join in. Were the others going to pet her too? She would not mind. But it was too late now as the double doors opened again.

"My apologies for the delay." Professor Thompson announced as he walked in with a fairly large parcel in one of his arms. As he walked on by the students who were close by him managed to catch a whiff of something of fruity essence. Definitely not of his usual scents. "Good day everyone. You may sit down for now if you haven't already and thank you for keeping Lala company." Nodding at Lala's current companions. She decided to stay a while longer for the pets.

Continuing on, "Today you will be getting acquainted with some Unicorns." He was sure this bit of news would be satisfying to a good number if not a few already. "Before that of course, who can share what they know of Unicorns?" As for the parcel in his hand, well that'll be revealed soon too.

Sending a wave to Kace, Lux heard Toby state that the goose was named Lala. Well, definitely not Professor Thompson then. For one thing he wasn't a girl, and for another he had just walked in. "Hello, Professor!" After giving Lala another pat she found herself a seat.

Yessss, they were going to be working with Unicorns!! Lux still really liked Unicorns despite what happened the first time she met one. Hehe, she still carried that vial of potion from Professor Culloden in her bag. At the first question, she raised her hand. "Mommy Unicorns are very protective of their babies." As she had learned when trying to feed a baby some chocolate.

While most of the student had been standing around Lala the goose and Toby explaining the others about the creature, Kevin waited a bit away from them all as he hoped that the goose would bite at least one of them. Should be entertaining to watch. … He checked his watch and realised that the Professor was pretty late.

Oh! There he was. Kevin walked back to the others, in case he lost points for …he didn’t even know anymore , he just lost them, and it was then that he caught a whiff of something fruity. “ewww, who put on too much perfume?”

Unicorns. What did they know about unicorns? “A foal unicorn is usually golden coloured right?”

Hady gave a wave to Jenelle when the younger girl waved at her also sending a few waves at some others as they arrived. It didn't take long for the barn doors to open once more this time the Professor entering through them, a large parcel in his hands. As he passed by her she got a wiff of something fruity and tilted her head. Maybe fruits of some kid for the animal they would work with today?

Within moments Professor Thompson began speaking announcing that they would learn about unicorns today.

Unicorns!!! Unicorns were pretty cool even if they were more girly kinda and such. Not that it mattered cause Hady liked all animals...animals that weren't spiders that is. Sitting where she was not at all fussed about getting her black pants dirty she raised a hand into the answer to answer the question. "Professor a unicorns blood can save someone's life even if they're nearly already dead but the rest of the drinkers life will be cursed." Yup that wasn't a good thing. Why would anyone want to do that anyway? Take the life of such a pure gentle creature?

Only someone cruel and evil that's who.

Toby was quite content to sit here petting Lala all day, so it was sort of bittersweet when Thompson turned up to start the lesson. Because creatures... but goose friend. Still, he went on petting her even as he turned his attention to the professor.

As soon as Professor Thompson mentioned unicorns, the Hufflepuff thought he understood... things. He raised his hand.

"They prefer being around girls. But the littler ones don't mind boys so much." Toby lowered his hand and eyed the parcel. "Maybe it's partly 'cause boys and girls smell different." Just a long shot. Y'know. Just guessing, because of that weird fruity smell. Were they gonna put on perfume to go see a unicorn? That wouldn't be so bad.

.... PROFESSOR, DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE ABOUT TO START?!? Zander almost immediately looked right over to a certain unicorn obsessed third year before backing the heck away from her. Oh Merlin. Please. No.

"We have a good amount at Hogwarts, in the forrest... They don't generally leave their home there... I think... Except for when we had that horrible winter that one time, they panicked." And then Zander saw one... And he panicked... And then... Yeah. Good times. ALSO AJ

"They have a SWORD on their head, basically, Professor T. That horn thing." Of course, Zahra used her hands to illustrate what a HORN was in case he didn't know. "They're like.... skinny, sissy Erumpents. Kind of. I mean, still cool.... but not AS cool. I mean like, unicorns probably haven't ever impaled someone with their horn."

Probably.

Maybe one would today though? That'd be wicked.

Marigold probably looked kind of out of it but...it had been a long couple of weeks. Unicorns she liked though, so she smiled at Z's response - the swords on head thing was definitely an asset. Maybe that was why she like narwhals so much. THEY WERE JUST SO cOOL THOUGH LIKE SWIMMY ANIMALS WITH SWORDS ON THEIR HEADs!!!!!!

Oh....the question. "They don't turn white until they mature." Maybe it was when they got old and white hair. Icky. Marigold was NEVER growing old. She was gonna pull a Peter Pan and stay forever young, yo. Z and Rubz would probably follow her lead, too.
