Default Lost & Found Bin

Found something around the castle without an owner in sight? Lost your shoes, wallet, quill, krup, satchel, Charms homework, or Astronomy professor? Check out the Lost & Found Bin, located just a stone's throw away from the Student Bulletin Board, in case one of your peers has turned it in.

Be careful digging around in that bin though. No one's cleaned it out... ever, and it may be quite deep....

Default Astronomy Homework post 5

Finally reaching the ground floor from the Gryffindor tower with the vacuum cleaner, Melanie let out a contented sigh. She had walked all of that with the vacuum levitating behind her at all times. Unless she was using it, then she wasn't levitating it because she was... well... cleaning.

"Life is not a spark in space, an episode of Will and Grace~ Controversial yet mundane, Debrah's messing with your brain."

And all the while she hadn't stopped singing much either so she didn't have much of a reason to stop now. They Gryffindor just continued to belt out whatever songs came to mind and walk around the castle with a vacuum cleaner like it was a normal day. Which it was because Melanie wasn't strange or weird or anything that shared a meaning with the two words. "Even Scientologists know there's more to all of this~ You search the ruins for trap doors, wonder what you're put here for."

Melanie found herself approaching the Lost & Found bin by the bulletin board and peered into it. She nudged the basket lightly with her foot before wrinkling her nose when she saw all the dirt. If she stuck the vacuum cleaner in there... would she suck up a lot of objects? She didn't think that would really be cleaning but it would definitely be getting rid of quite a few objects that people didn't seem to want anymore. Shrugging her shoulders, Melanie tapped her wand against the vacuum and said "Vacavus." Closing her eyes, not sure what she was expecting to hear... Melanie plunged the hose of the vacuum cleaner into the bin, making sure it went straight to the bottom. There were some unpleasant sounds and it sounded like a tiny little metal trinket may have been sucked in but Melanie ignored it. If someone was truly looking for it, they would've tried the bin a long time ago. Clearly, they didn't want it if it was still there.

She only pulled the hose out when it seemed to make a dull sound like something was stuck to it. Confused, Melanie pulled it out and apparently whatever had been preventing the vacuum cleaner from making it's sucking sound (probably someone's homework) had been lost in the pile and the vacuum was in the process of sucking up a tiny little teddy bear. "NO!" Melanie exclaimed, wide-eyed as she tapped the vacuum cleaner's hose again and pulled the teddy bear off. She set it back down in the bin. The Gryffindor pet the little teddy bear's head and muttered her apologies before looking at the hose.

Maybe putting the vacuum cleaner into the bin wasn't the smartest idea. "Vacavus," Melanie said, deciding she'd just clean the area around the bin... which she should've probably done in the first place. "You could do better, you could do better~ You could be the greatest wo-man in the world~" And of course, Melanie just went back to singing and trying not to think about the teddy bear murder she had nearly committed. Because that wouldn't be pleasant. She'd have some explaining to Mister Bear later.
